ਦਉਰ ਦਈ ਅਰਿ ਕੇ ਮੁਖਿ ਮੈ ਕਟਿ ਓਠ ਦਏ ਜਿਮੁ ਲੋਹ ਕੌ ਛੈਨੀ ॥
daur dee ar ke mukh mai katt otth de jim loh kau chhainee |She ran forward and struck on the face of the enemy and cut his lips just as the chisel cuts the iron.,
ਦਾਤ ਗੰਗਾ ਜਮੁਨਾ ਤਨ ਸਿਆਮ ਸੋ ਲੋਹੂ ਬਹਿਓ ਤਿਨ ਮਾਹਿ ਤ੍ਰਿਬੈਨੀ ॥੯੭॥
daat gangaa jamunaa tan siaam so lohoo bahio tin maeh tribainee |97|The demon had black body and the teeth like Ganges and Yamuna, together with red blood, all the three colour have taken the form of Tribeni.97.,
ਘਾਉ ਲਗੈ ਰਿਸ ਕੈ ਦ੍ਰਿਗ ਧੂਮ੍ਰ ਸੁ ਕੈ ਬਲਿ ਆਪਨੋ ਖਗੁ ਸੰਭਾਰਿਓ ॥
ghaau lagai ris kai drig dhoomr su kai bal aapano khag sanbhaario |Seeing himself wounded Dhumar Lochan, with great strength took control of his sword.,
ਬੀਸ ਪਚੀਸਕੁ ਵਾਰ ਕਰੇ ਤਿਨ ਕੇਹਰਿ ਕੋ ਪਗੁ ਨੈਕੁ ਨ ਹਾਰਿਓ ॥
bees pacheesak vaar kare tin kehar ko pag naik na haario |The demon struck twenty to twenty-five blows, but the lion did not take even one foot backward.,
ਧਾਇ ਗਦਾ ਗਹਿ ਫੋਰਿ ਕੈ ਫਉਜ ਕੋ ਘਾਉ ਸਿਵਾ ਸਿਰਿ ਦੈਤ ਕੇ ਮਾਰਿਓ ॥
dhaae gadaa geh for kai fauj ko ghaau sivaa sir dait ke maario |Holding her mace the goddess splitting the army of the enemy, struck such a blow on the head of the demon Dhumar Lochan,
ਸ੍ਰਿੰਗ ਧਰਾਧਰ ਊਪਰ ਕੋ ਜਨੁ ਕੋਪ ਪੁਰੰਦ੍ਰ ਨੈ ਬਜ੍ਰ ਪ੍ਰਹਾਰਿਓ ॥੯੮॥
sring dharaadhar aoopar ko jan kop purandr nai bajr prahaario |98|Just as Indra, in great fury, hath attacked a mountainous citadel with his weapon Vajra.98.,
ਲੋਚਨ ਧੂਮ ਉਠੈ ਕਿਲਕਾਰ ਲਏ ਸੰਗ ਦੈਤਨ ਕੇ ਕੁਰਮਾ ॥
lochan dhoom utthai kilakaar le sang daitan ke kuramaa |Dhumar Locahn, shouting loudly and taking his forces with him,
ਗਹਿ ਪਾਨਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨ ਅਚਾਨਕ ਤਾਨਿ ਲਗਾਈ ਹੈ ਕੇਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਉਰ ਮਾ ॥
geh paan kripaan achaanak taan lagaaee hai kehar ke ur maa |Holding his sword in his hand, suddenly struck a blow on Lion’s body.,
ਹਰਿ ਚੰਡਿ ਲਇਓ ਬਰਿ ਕੈ ਕਰ ਤੇ ਅਰੁ ਮੂੰਡ ਕਟਿਓ ਅਸੁਰੰ ਪੁਰ ਮਾ ॥
har chandd leio bar kai kar te ar moondd kattio asuran pur maa |Chandni, on the other hand , with her hand’s sword cut off the head of Dhumar Lochan, hurled it on the demons.,
ਮਾਨੋ ਆਂਧੀ ਬਹੇ ਧਰਨੀ ਪਰ ਛੂਟੀ ਖਜੂਰ ਤੇ ਟੂਟ ਪਰਿਓ ਖੁਰਮਾ ॥੯੯॥
maano aandhee bahe dharanee par chhoottee khajoor te ttoott pario khuramaa |99|Just as in a violent storm, the date falls far away, after breaking from the palm-tree.99.,

ਧੂਮ੍ਰ ਨੈਨ ਜਬ ਮਾਰਿਓ ਦੇਵੀ ਇਹ ਪਰਕਾਰ ॥
dhoomr nain jab maario devee ih parakaar |When the goddess killed Dhumar Lochan in this way,
ਅਸੁਰ ਸੈਨ ਬਿਨੁ ਚੈਨ ਹੁਇ ਕੀਨੋ ਹਾਹਾਕਾਰ ॥੧੦੦॥
asur sain bin chain hue keeno haahaakaar |100|The army of the demons, being confounded, greatly lamented.100.,

ਸੋਰੁ ਸੁਨਿਓ ਜਬ ਦੈਤਨ ਕੋ ਤਬ ਚੰਡਿ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ਤਚੀ ਅਖੀਆਂ ॥
sor sunio jab daitan ko tab chandd prachandd tachee akheean |When the powerful Chandi heard the furore of the demons, her eyes bhecame red with anger.,
ਹਰ ਧਿਆਨ ਛੁਟਿਓ ਮੁਨਿ ਕੋ ਸੁਨਿ ਕੈ ਧੁਨਿ ਟੂਟਿ ਖਗੇਸ ਗਈ ਪਖੀਆਂ ॥
har dhiaan chhuttio mun ko sun kai dhun ttoott khages gee pakheean |The contemplation of Shiva was broken by the noise and being perturbed slackened the winged flight.,
ਦ੍ਰਿਗ ਜੁਆਲ ਬਢੀ ਬੜਵਾਨਲ ਜਿਉ ਕਵਿ ਨੇ ਉਪਮਾ ਤਿਹ ਕੀ ਲਖੀਆਂ ॥
drig juaal badtee barravaanal jiau kav ne upamaa tih kee lakheean |With the fire from the eyes of the goddess, the army of the demons was reduced to ashes, the poet imagined this anloty.,
ਸਭੁ ਛਾਰ ਭਇਓ ਦਲੁ ਦਾਨਵ ਕੋ ਜਿਮੁ ਘੂਮਿ ਹਲਾਹਲ ਕੀ ਮਖੀਆਂ ॥੧੦੧॥
sabh chhaar bheio dal daanav ko jim ghoom halaahal kee makheean |101|All the demon-army was reduced to ashes just as the bees are destroyed by the poisonous somoke.101.,

ਅਉਰ ਸਕਲ ਸੈਨਾ ਜਰੀ ਬਚਿਓ ਸੁ ਏਕੈ ਪ੍ਰੇਤੁ ॥
aaur sakal sainaa jaree bachio su ekai pret |All the other army was burnt except the single demon.,
ਚੰਡਿ ਬਚਾਇਓ ਜਾਨਿ ਕੈ ਅਉਰਨ ਮਾਰਨ ਹੇਤੁ ॥੧੦੨॥
chandd bachaaeio jaan kai aauran maaran het |102|Chandi had deliberately saved him in order to kill others.102.,
ਭਾਜਿ ਨਿਸਾਚਰ ਮੰਦ ਮਤਿ ਕਹੀ ਸੁੰਭ ਪਹਿ ਜਾਇ ॥
bhaaj nisaachar mand mat kahee sunbh peh jaae |The foolish demon ran away and told the king sumbh,
ਧੂਮ੍ਰ ਨੈਨ ਸੈਨਾ ਸਹਿਤ ਡਾਰਿਓ ਚੰਡਿ ਖਪਾਇ ॥੧੦੩॥
dhoomr nain sainaa sahit ddaario chandd khapaae |103|“Chandi hath destroyed Dhumar Lochan alongwith his army.103.,
