ਸੁਨੁ ਰਾਜਾ ਇਕ ਔਰ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਗਾ ॥
sun raajaa ik aauar prasangaa |O Rajan! Listen to another case,
ਭਾਖਿ ਸੁਨਾਵਤ ਤੁਮਰੇ ਸੰਗਾ ॥
bhaakh sunaavat tumare sangaa |(I) recite to you.
ਅਚਲਾਵਤੀ ਨਗਰ ਇਕ ਰਾਜਤ ॥
achalaavatee nagar ik raajat |There was a town called Achlavati.
ਸੂਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਤਹ ਭੂਪ ਬਿਰਾਜਤ ॥੧॥
soor singh tah bhoop biraajat |1|Sur Singh (the king of the name) used to rule there. 1.
ਅੰਜਨ ਦੇਇ ਤਵਨ ਕੀ ਰਾਨੀ ॥
anjan dee tavan kee raanee |Anjan Dei was his queen.
ਖੰਜਨ ਦੇ ਦੁਹਿਤਾ ਤਿਹ ਜਾਨੀ ॥
khanjan de duhitaa tih jaanee |His daughter's name was Khanjan Dei.
ਅਧਿਕ ਦੁਹੂੰ ਕੀ ਪ੍ਰਭਾ ਬਿਰਾਜੈ ॥
adhik duhoon kee prabhaa biraajai |Both of them were very beautiful.
ਨਿਰਖਿ ਨਰੀ ਨਾਗਿਨਿ ਮਨ ਲਾਜੈ ॥੨॥
nirakh naree naagin man laajai |2|Seeing (them), men and snake women used to get scared. 2.
ਤਹਾ ਏਕ ਆਯੋ ਸੌਦਾਗਰ ॥
tahaa ek aayo sauadaagar |A merchant came there.
ਰੂਪਵੰਤੁ ਜਨੁ ਦੁਤਿਯ ਨਿਸਾਕਰ ॥
roopavant jan dutiy nisaakar |(She was very) beautiful, like a second moon.
ਜੋ ਅਬਲਾ ਤਿਹ ਰੂਪ ਨਿਹਾਰੈ ॥
jo abalaa tih roop nihaarai |The woman who sees his form,
ਰਾਜ ਪਾਟ ਤਜਿ ਸਾਥ ਸਿਧਾਰੈ ॥੩॥
raaj paatt taj saath sidhaarai |3|She used to leave the kingdom and walk with him. 3.
ਸੋ ਆਯੋ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਕੇ ਘਰ ਤਰ ॥
so aayo nrip triy ke ghar tar |That king (one day) came under the queen's palace.
ਰਾਜ ਸੁਤਾ ਨਿਰਖਾ ਤਿਹ ਦ੍ਰਿਗ ਭਰਿ ॥
raaj sutaa nirakhaa tih drig bhar |Raj Kumari looked at him with wide eyes (meaning well).
ਮਨ ਬਚ ਕ੍ਰਮ ਇਹ ਉਪਰ ਭੂਲੀ ॥
man bach kram ih upar bhoolee |(She) fell on him with mind, escape and action,
ਜਨੁ ਮਦ ਪੀ ਮਤਵਾਰੀ ਝੂਲੀ ॥੪॥
jan mad pee matavaaree jhoolee |4|As if she is swaying after drinking alcohol. 4.
ਸਿੰਘ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ਨਾਮ ਤਿਹ ਨਰ ਕੋ ॥
singh prachandd naam tih nar ko |That man's name was Prachand Singh.
ਜਨੁ ਕਰਿ ਮੁਕਟ ਕਾਮ ਕੇ ਸਿਰ ਕੋ ॥
jan kar mukatt kaam ke sir ko |(He was so beautiful) As if Kama Dev had a crown on his head.
ਸਖੀ ਏਕ ਤਹ ਕੁਅਰਿ ਪਠਾਈ ॥
sakhee ek tah kuar patthaaee |Raj Kumari sent a Sakhi (to that man).
ਕਹਿਯਹੁ ਬ੍ਰਿਥਾ ਸਜਨ ਸੌ ਜਾਈ ॥੫॥
kahiyahu brithaa sajan sau jaaee |5|That he should go and tell (everything) to his friend. 5.
ਸਖੀ ਤੁਰਤ ਤਿਨ ਤਹ ਪਹੁਚਾਯੋ ॥
sakhee turat tin tah pahuchaayo |Sakhi immediately conveyed his (message) to him,
ਜਸ ਨਾਵਕ ਕੋ ਤੀਰ ਚਲਾਯੋ ॥
jas naavak ko teer chalaayo |As a sailor shoots an arrow through a (pipe) (because thus the arrow hits straight).
ਸਕਲ ਕੁਅਰਿ ਤਿਨ ਬ੍ਰਿਥਾ ਸੁਨਾਈ ॥
sakal kuar tin brithaa sunaaee |He (Sakhi) narrated the entire birth of Raj Kumari.
ਮਨ ਬਚ ਰੀਝਿ ਰਹਾ ਸੁਖਦਾਈ ॥੬॥
man bach reejh rahaa sukhadaaee |6|(Hearing which) Mitra Mana became happy by doing saving deeds. 6.
ਨਦੀ ਬਹਤ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਗ੍ਰਿਹਿ ਤਰ ਜਹਾ ॥
nadee bahat nrip grihi tar jahaa |(He sent word that) where the river flows below the king's palace,
ਠਾਢ ਹੂਜਿਯਹੁ ਨਿਸਿ ਕਹ ਤਹਾ ॥
tthaadt hoojiyahu nis kah tahaa |Standing there at night.
ਡਾਰਿ ਦੇਗ ਮੈ ਕੁਅਰਿ ਬਹੈ ਹੈਂ ॥
ddaar deg mai kuar bahai hain |I will put it in the pot and make Raj Kumari cry
ਛਿਦ੍ਰ ਮੂੰਦਿ ਤਾ ਕੋ ਸਭ ਲੈ ਹੈਂ ॥੭॥
chhidr moond taa ko sabh lai hain |7|And will close all his holes.7.
ਊਪਰ ਬਾਧਿ ਤੰਬੂਰਾ ਦੈ ਹੈਂ ॥
aoopar baadh tanbooraa dai hain |(I) will tie a tambourine on him.
ਇਹ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਮੁਹਿ ਤਾਹਿ ਮਿਲੈ ਹੈਂ ॥
eih charitr muhi taeh milai hain |With this character I will introduce (you) to him.
ਜਬ ਤੁਬਰੀ ਲਖਿਯਹੁ ਢਿਗ ਆਈ ॥
jab tubaree lakhiyahu dtig aaee |O friend of happiness! When you come near to see,
ਕਾਢਿ ਭੋਗ ਦੀਜਹੁ ਸੁਖਦਾਈ ॥੮॥
kaadt bhog deejahu sukhadaaee |8|So take (Raj Kumari) and mix well. 8.
ਇਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਬਦਿ ਤਾ ਸੌ ਸੰਕੇਤਾ ॥
eih bidh bad taa sau sanketaa |By telling him such a sign
ਦੂਤੀ ਗੀ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਜ ਨਿਕੇਤਾ ॥
dootee gee nrip triyaj niketaa |Dhooti went to Raj Kumari's house.
ਡਾਰਿ ਦੇਗ ਮੈ ਕੁਅਰਿ ਬਹਾਈ ॥
ddaar deg mai kuar bahaaee |(He) put Raj Kumari in a pot and made her cry
ਬਾਧਿ ਤੂੰਬਰੀ ਤਹ ਪਹੁਚਾਈ ॥੯॥
baadh toonbaree tah pahuchaaee |9|And you tied it and brought it there. 9.
ਜਬ ਬਹਤੀ ਤੁਬਰੀ ਤਹ ਆਈ ॥
jab bahatee tubaree tah aaee |When you came flowing there,
ਆਵਤ ਕੁਅਰਿ ਲਖਾ ਸੁਖਦਾਈ ॥
aavat kuar lakhaa sukhadaaee |So that pleasant (mitra) saw Raj Kumari coming.
ਐਂਚਿ ਤਹਾ ਤੇ ਦੇਗ ਨਿਕਾਰੀ ॥
aainch tahaa te deg nikaaree |(He) pulled out the pot
ਲੈ ਪਲਕਾ ਊਪਰ ਬੈਠਾਰੀ ॥੧੦॥
lai palakaa aoopar baitthaaree |10|And (taking Raj Kumari) placed her on the bed. 10.
ਪੋਸਤ ਭਾਗ ਅਫੀਮ ਮੰਗਾਈ ॥
posat bhaag afeem mangaaee |Poppy, hemp and opium were ordered.
ਦੁਹੂੰ ਖਾਟ ਪਰ ਬੈਠਿ ਚੜਾਈ ॥
duhoon khaatt par baitth charraaee |Both of them climbed on the bed.
ਚਾਰਿ ਪਹਰ ਤਾ ਸੌ ਕਰਿ ਭੋਗਾ ॥
chaar pahar taa sau kar bhogaa |Joined him for four hours.
ਭੇਦ ਨ ਲਖਾ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਲੋਗਾ ॥੧੧॥
bhed na lakhaa doosare logaa |11|No other person could find this distinction. 11.
ਇਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਤਾ ਸੌ ਰੋਜ ਬੁਲਾਵੈ ॥
eih bidh taa sau roj bulaavai |Calling him like this everyday
ਕਾਮ ਭੋਗ ਕਰਿ ਤਾਹਿ ਪਠਾਵੈ ॥
kaam bhog kar taeh patthaavai |And would seduce him by having sexual pleasures.
ਭੂਪ ਸਹਿਤ ਕੋਈ ਭੇਦ ਨ ਪਾਵੈ ॥
bhoop sahit koee bhed na paavai |No one, including the king, can make a difference
