ਇਕ ਕੈਲਾਸ ਮਤੀ ਰਹੈ ਰਾਨੀ ਰੂਪ ਅਪਾਰ ॥
eik kailaas matee rahai raanee roop apaar |There used to be a very beautiful queen named Kailash Mati
ਜਾ ਤੇ ਜਗਤ ਨਰੇਸ ਬਿਧਿ ਸੀਖੀ ਜੁਧ ਮਝਾਰ ॥੧॥
jaa te jagat nares bidh seekhee judh majhaar |1|From whom the kings of the world learned war. 1.

ਸਿੰਘ ਸੁ ਬੀਰ ਨਾਥ ਇਕ ਤਾ ਕੋ ॥
singh su beer naath ik taa ko |Her husband was one Bir Singh (person named).
ਰੂਪ ਬੇਸ ਭਾਖਤ ਜਗ ਵਾ ਕੋ ॥
roop bes bhaakhat jag vaa ko |Whose form and disguise the world used to discuss.
ਅਪ੍ਰਮਾਨ ਤਿਹ ਪ੍ਰਭਾ ਬਿਰਾਜੈ ॥
apramaan tih prabhaa biraajai |Her immense beauty was beautiful
ਨਿਸਿਸਿ ਦਿਨਿਸਿ ਨਿਰਖਤ ਮਨੁ ਲਾਜੈ ॥੨॥
nisis dinis nirakhat man laajai |2|Seeing whom the sun and the moon used to be in their minds. 2.
ਰੈਨਿ ਦਿਵਸ ਬੈਰਿਯਨ ਬਿਦਾਰੈ ॥
rain divas bairiyan bidaarai |(He) used to destroy the enemies day and night
ਸਾਹ ਕੇ ਰੋਜ ਪਰਗਨੇ ਮਾਰੈ ॥
saah ke roj paragane maarai |And used to kill the parganas of the king.
ਏਕ ਜਹਾਜ ਜਾਨ ਨਹਿ ਦੇਵੈ ॥
ek jahaaj jaan neh devai |He would not let a single plane go.
ਲੂਟਿ ਲੂਟਿ ਸਭਹਿਨ ਕੋ ਲੇਵੈ ॥੩॥
loott loott sabhahin ko levai |3|He used to rob everyone. 3.

ਲੂਟਿ ਫਿਰੰਗੀ ਲਏ ਸਕਲ ਇਕਠੇ ਭਏ ॥
loott firangee le sakal ikatthe bhe |All the looted together
ਸਾਹਜਹਾ ਜੂ ਜਹਾ ਤਹੀ ਸਭ ਹੀ ਗਏ ॥
saahajahaa joo jahaa tahee sabh hee ge |He went there where Shah Jahan was the emperor.
ਸਭੈ ਲਗੇ ਦੀਵਾਨਿ ਪੁਕਾਰੇ ਆਇ ਕੈ ॥
sabhai lage deevaan pukaare aae kai |Everyone came to the court and started shouting,
ਹੋ ਹਮਰੋ ਨ੍ਯਾਇ ਕਰੋ ਇਹ ਹਨੋ ਰਿਸਾਇ ਕੈ ॥੪॥
ho hamaro nayaae karo ih hano risaae kai |4|(O King!) Judge us and kill them. 4.
ਸਾਹ ਬਾਚ ॥
saah baach |The king said:
ਕਹੋ ਲੂਟਿ ਕਿਨ ਲਏ ਤਿਸੀ ਕੋ ਮਾਰਿਯੈ ॥
kaho loott kin le tisee ko maariyai |Say, who robbed you, (we) kill him.
ਤਾਹੀ ਕੌ ਇਹ ਠੌਰ ਸੁ ਨਾਇ ਉਚਾਰਿਯੈ ॥
taahee kau ih tthauar su naae uchaariyai |Name him here.
ਤਾ ਪੈ ਅਬ ਹੀ ਅਪਨੀ ਫੌਜ ਪਠਾਇ ਹੈ ॥
taa pai ab hee apanee fauaj patthaae hai |Now I am mounting my army on him
ਹੋ ਤਾ ਤੇ ਤੁਮਰੋ ਸਭ ਹੀ ਮਾਲ ਦਿਲਾਇ ਹੈ ॥੫॥
ho taa te tumaro sabh hee maal dilaae hai |5|And I will get all your goods from him. 5.
ਫਿਰੰਗੀ ਵਾਚ ॥

ਜਹਾ ਕਮਛ੍ਰਯਾ ਕੋ ਭਵਨ ਤਿਸੀ ਠੌਰ ਕੇ ਰਾਇ ॥
jahaa kamachhrayaa ko bhavan tisee tthauar ke raae |Where there is a temple of Kamachya (goddess), he is the king of that place.
ਅਧਿਕ ਫਿਰੰਗੀ ਮਾਰਿ ਕੈ ਲੀਨੋ ਮਾਲ ਛਿਨਾਇ ॥੬॥
adhik firangee maar kai leeno maal chhinaae |6|(He) killed many Firangis and took away the property. 6.

ਐਸੇ ਜਬ ਹਜਰਤਿ ਸੁਨਿ ਪਾਈ ॥
aaise jab hajarat sun paaee |Thus when the king heard
ਫੌਜੈ ਅਤਿ ਹੀ ਤਹਾ ਪਠਾਈ ॥
fauajai at hee tahaa patthaaee |Many troops were sent there.
ਉਮਡਿ ਅਨੀ ਚਲਿ ਆਵੈ ਤਹਾ ॥
aumadd anee chal aavai tahaa |The army was coming there.
ਰਾਜਤ ਭਵਨ ਕਮਛ੍ਰਯਾ ਜਹਾ ॥੭॥
raajat bhavan kamachhrayaa jahaa |7|Where the temple of Kamchaya was decorated.7.
ਅੜਿਲ ॥

ਤਬ ਲੌ ਸਿੰਘ ਸੁ ਬੀਰ ਲੋਕ ਦਿਵ ਕੇ ਗਯੋ ॥
tab lau singh su beer lok div ke gayo |By then Bir Singh had gone to Div-Lok (Heaven).
ਰਾਨੀ ਦਯੋ ਜਰਾਇ ਨ ਲੋਗਨ ਭਾਖਿਯੋ ॥
raanee dayo jaraae na logan bhaakhiyo |The queen burnt (the king's body), but did not tell the people.
ਕਹਿਯੋ ਅਨਮਨੋ ਰਾਵ ਕਛੁਕ ਦਿਨ ਦ੍ਵੈ ਰਹਿਯੋ ॥
kahiyo anamano raav kachhuk din dvai rahiyo |(He told the people) that the king has been unwell for some days.
ਹੋ ਰਾਜ ਸਾਜ ਲੈ ਹਾਥ ਆਪੁ ਅਸਿ ਕੌ ਗਹਿਯੋ ॥੮॥
ho raaj saaj lai haath aap as kau gahiyo |8|(The queen) took up the affairs of the state by taking up the sword. 8.
ਜਬ ਲਗਿ ਰਾਜਾ ਨਾਇ ਤਬ ਲਗੇ ਜਾਇ ਹੌ ॥
jab lag raajaa naae tab lage jaae hau |Until the king comes, then I go (fight).
ਇਨ ਬੈਰਿਨ ਕੇ ਸਿਰ ਪਰ ਖੜਗ ਮਚਾਇ ਹੌ ॥
ein bairin ke sir par kharrag machaae hau |I shoot the sword on the head of these enemies.
ਸਕਲ ਬੈਰਿਯਨ ਘਾਇ ਪਲਟਿ ਘਰ ਆਇ ਕੈ ॥
sakal bairiyan ghaae palatt ghar aae kai |After killing all the enemies, (then) I will return home
ਹੋ ਕਰਿ ਹੌ ਜਾਇ ਪ੍ਰਨਾਮ ਪਤਿਹਿ ਮੁਸਕਾਇ ਕੈ ॥੯॥
ho kar hau jaae pranaam patihi musakaae kai |9|And I will bow to my husband with a smile. 9.
ਸੁਨਿ ਐਸੇ ਬਚ ਸੂਰ ਸਭੇ ਹਰਖਤ ਭਏ ॥
sun aaise bach soor sabhe harakhat bhe |All the warriors were happy after hearing such words.
ਭਾਤਿ ਭਾਤਿ ਕੇ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਸਭਨ ਹਾਥਨ ਲਏ ॥
bhaat bhaat ke sasatr sabhan haathan le |Everyone took each other's armor in hand.
ਕਛੁ ਭਟ ਦਲਹਿ ਦਿਖਾਇ ਲ੍ਯਾਏ ਲਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
kachh bhatt daleh dikhaae layaae laae kai |Some warriors showed the (enemy's) army to the queen.
ਹੋ ਬਡੀ ਫੌਜ ਮਹਿ ਆਨਿ ਦਏ ਸਭ ਘਾਇ ਕੈ ॥੧੦॥
ho baddee fauaj meh aan de sabh ghaae kai |10|She entered the army and killed everyone. 10.
ਦਸ ਸਹਸ੍ਰ ਨਿਸਿ ਕੋ ਲਿਯ ਬੈਲ ਮੰਗਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
das sahasr nis ko liy bail mangaae kai |(The queen) ordered ten thousand oxen at night
ਦ੍ਵੈ ਦ੍ਵੈ ਸੀਂਗਨ ਬਧੀ ਮਸਾਲ ਜਰਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
dvai dvai seengan badhee masaal jaraae kai |And after lighting two or two spices, they tied them to the horns of the bulls.
ਇਹ ਦਿਸਿ ਦਲਹਿ ਦਿਖਾਇ ਆਇ ਓਹਿ ਦਿਸਿ ਪਰੀ ॥
eih dis daleh dikhaae aae ohi dis paree |Having shown (the oxen) to the enemy party on this side, she (herself) came from the other side.
ਹੋ ਬਡੇ ਬਡੇ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਘਾਇ ਮਾਰ ਕ੍ਰੀਚਕ ਕਰੀ ॥੧੧॥
ho badde badde nrip ghaae maar kreechak karee |11|Killed big big kings like crickets. 11.
