ਸਕਲ ਨਾਮ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਪਾਸਿ ਕੇ ਚਤੁਰ ਚਿਤ ਮੈ ਜਾਨੁ ॥੨੮੭॥

sakal naam sree paas ke chatur chit mai jaan |287|

Uttering all the names of Surya and then adding the words “Sut and AAstar”, the wise people know all the names of Paash in their mind.287.

ਭਾਨੁ ਦਿਵਾਕਰ ਦਿਨਧ ਭਨਿ ਸੁਤ ਕਹਿ ਅਸਤ੍ਰ ਬਖਾਨੁ ॥

bhaan divaakar dinadh bhan sut keh asatr bakhaan |

First say the words Bhanu, Divakar, Dindh and then add the words 'Sut' and 'Astra'.

ਸਕਲ ਨਾਮ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਪਾਸਿ ਕੇ ਚਤੁਰ ਚਿਤ ਮੈ ਜਾਨੁ ॥੨੮੮॥

sakal naam sree paas ke chatur chit mai jaan |288|

Saying the words “Bhaanu, Divaakar and Dinadhi” and then uttering the words “Sut” and Astar”, the wise people come to know all the names of Paash.288.

ਦਿਨਮਣਿ ਦਿਵਕਰਿ ਰੈਣਹਾ ਸੁਤ ਕਹਿ ਅਸਤ੍ਰ ਬਖਾਨ ॥

dinaman divakar rainahaa sut keh asatr bakhaan |

Saying dinmani, divkari and rainha (words) then add the words 'sut' and 'astra'.

ਸਕਲ ਨਾਮ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਪਾਸਿ ਕੇ ਚਤੁਰ ਚਿਤ ਮੈ ਜਾਨੁ ॥੨੮੯॥

sakal naam sree paas ke chatur chit mai jaan |289|

Saying the words Sut and Shastar after the words “Dinmani, Divaakar and Rainhaa”, the wise peoples know the names of Paash in their mind.289.

ਦਿਨ ਕੋ ਨਾਮ ਬਖਾਨਿ ਕੈ ਮਣਿ ਪਦ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਬਖਾਨ ॥

din ko naam bakhaan kai man pad bahur bakhaan |

Saying the names of the days (then) recite the word 'Mani'.

ਸੁਤ ਕਹਿ ਅਸਤ੍ਰ ਬਖਾਨੀਐ ਨਾਮ ਪਾਸਿ ਪਹਿਚਾਨ ॥੨੯੦॥

sut keh asatr bakhaaneeai naam paas pahichaan |290|

Saying the name “Din” and then adding the words “Mani” and “Sut Astar”, all the names of Paash are known.290.

ਦਿਵਕਰਿ ਦਿਨਪਤਿ ਨਿਸਰਿ ਭਨਿ ਦਿਨ ਨਾਇਕ ਪੁਨਿ ਭਾਖੁ ॥

divakar dinapat nisar bhan din naaeik pun bhaakh |

By saying Divkari, Dinpati, Nisri (Nisari) and Dinnayak (word).

ਸੁਤ ਕਹਿ ਅਸਤ੍ਰ ਬਖਾਨੀਐ ਨਾਮ ਪਾਸਿ ਲਖਿ ਰਾਖੁ ॥੨੯੧॥

sut keh asatr bakhaaneeai naam paas lakh raakh |291|

By adding “Sut Astar” after “Divaakar, Dinpati, Niashari and Din-nayak”, the names of Paash are known.291.

ਸਕਲ ਸੂਰਜ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਲੈ ਸੁਤ ਕਹਿ ਅਸਤ੍ਰ ਬਖਾਨੁ ॥

sakal sooraj ke naam lai sut keh asatr bakhaan |

Taking all the names of the Sun, (then) add the terms 'Suta' and 'Astra'.

ਸਕਲ ਨਾਮ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਪਾਸਿ ਕੇ ਚਤੁਰ ਚਿਤ ਮਹਿ ਜਾਨੁ ॥੨੯੨॥

sakal naam sree paas ke chatur chit meh jaan |292|

Uttering all the names of Surya and then adding “Sut Astar”, all the names of Paash are known.292.

ਜਮ ਪਦ ਪ੍ਰਿਥਮ ਬਖਾਨਿ ਕੈ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਸਬਦ ਪੁਨਿ ਦੇਹੁ ॥

jam pad pritham bakhaan kai sasatr sabad pun dehu |

First say the word 'Jam' and then say the word 'Sastra'.

ਸਕਲ ਨਾਮ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਪਾਸਿ ਕੇ ਚੀਨ ਚਤੁਰ ਚਿਤਿ ਲੇਹੁ ॥੨੯੩॥

sakal naam sree paas ke cheen chatur chit lehu |293|

Saying firstly the word “Yam” and then adding the word “Shastar” the names of Paash are recognized in the mind.293.

ਬਈਵਸਤੁ ਪਦ ਆਦਿ ਕਹਿ ਆਯੁਧ ਅੰਤਿ ਬਖਾਨੁ ॥

beevasat pad aad keh aayudh ant bakhaan |

First say the word 'Baivastu' (son of Sun, Yama) (then) add the word 'Ayudha' at the end.

ਸਕਲ ਨਾਮ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਪਾਸਿ ਕੇ ਚਤੁਰ ਚਿਤ ਮਹਿ ਜਾਨੁ ॥੨੯੪॥

sakal naam sree paas ke chatur chit meh jaan |294|

Saying “Vaivasvat” in the beginning and then adding the word “Aayudh” at the end, all the names of Paash are comprehended in the mind.294.

ਕਾਲ ਸਬਦ ਕੋ ਆਦਿ ਕਹਿ ਅਸਤ੍ਰ ਸਬਦ ਕਹਿ ਅੰਤ ॥

kaal sabad ko aad keh asatr sabad keh ant |

First recite the word 'Kaal', (then) recite the word 'Astra'.

ਸਕਲ ਨਾਮ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਪਾਸਿ ਕੇ ਨਿਕਸਤ ਚਲੈ ਅਨੰਤ ॥੨੯੫॥

sakal naam sree paas ke nikasat chalai anant |295|

Saying the word “Kaal” in the beginning and then putting the word Astar” at the end, innumerable names of Paash continue to be evolved.295.

ਪਿਤਰ ਰਾਜ ਪਦ ਪ੍ਰਿਥਮ ਕਹਿ ਅਸਤ੍ਰ ਸਬਦ ਪੁਨਿ ਦੇਹੁ ॥

pitar raaj pad pritham keh asatr sabad pun dehu |

First pronounce the word 'Pitra Raj', then say the word 'Astra'.

ਸਕਲ ਨਾਮ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਪਾਸਿ ਕੇ ਚਤੁਰ ਚੀਨ ਚਿਤਿ ਲੇਹੁ ॥੨੯੬॥

sakal naam sree paas ke chatur cheen chit lehu |296|

Saying the word “Pitr-raaj” in the beginning and then adding the word “Astar”, all the names of Paash are recognized.296.

ਦੰਡੀ ਪ੍ਰਿਥਮ ਬਖਾਨਿ ਕੈ ਅਸਤ੍ਰ ਸਬਦ ਕਹਿ ਅੰਤਿ ॥

danddee pritham bakhaan kai asatr sabad keh ant |

Say the word 'Dandi' first and then say the word 'Astra' at the end.

ਸਕਲ ਨਾਮ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਪਾਸਿ ਕੇ ਚੀਨਹੁ ਚਤੁਰ ਬਿਅੰਤ ॥੨੯੭॥

sakal naam sree paas ke cheenahu chatur biant |297|

Uttering firstly the word “Dhandi”, and then putting the word “Astar” at the end, the wise people recognize the innumerable names of Paash.297.

ਜਮੁਨਾ ਭ੍ਰਾਤ ਬਖਾਨ ਕੈ ਆਯੁਧ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਬਖਾਨੁ ॥

jamunaa bhraat bakhaan kai aayudh bahur bakhaan |

First recite the word 'Jamuna Bharat' and then say the word 'Ayudh'.

ਸਕਲ ਨਾਮ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਪਾਸਿ ਕੇ ਚਤੁਰ ਚਿਤ ਮਹਿ ਜਾਨੁ ॥੨੯੮॥

sakal naam sree paas ke chatur chit meh jaan |298|

Saying “Yamuna-Bharaat” and then adding the word “Aayudh”, the wise people know all the names of Paash in their hearts.298.

ਸਭ ਜਮੁਨਾ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਲੈ ਭ੍ਰਾਤ ਅਸਤ੍ਰ ਪੁਨਿ ਦੇਹੁ ॥

sabh jamunaa ke naam lai bhraat asatr pun dehu |

Taking all the names of Jamuna', then adding the words 'Bhrat' and 'Astra'.

ਸਕਲ ਨਾਮ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਪਾਸਿ ਕੇ ਚਤੁਰ ਚਿਤਿ ਲਖਿ ਲੇਹੁ ॥੨੯੯॥

sakal naam sree paas ke chatur chit lakh lehu |299|

Saying all the names of Yamuna and adding “Bharaat Astar”, the wise people know all the names of Paash.299.

ਪਿਤਰ ਸਬਦ ਪ੍ਰਿਥਮੈ ਉਚਰਿ ਏਸਰ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਬਖਾਨ ॥

pitar sabad prithamai uchar esar bahur bakhaan |

Pronounce the word 'Pitra' first, then pronounce the word 'Esar'.

ਸਕਲ ਨਾਮ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਪਾਸਿ ਕੇ ਚਤੁਰ ਚਿਤ ਮਹਿ ਜਾਨੁ ॥੩੦੦॥

sakal naam sree paas ke chatur chit meh jaan |300|

Saying “Pitr” (Yam) in the beginning and then adding the word “Aishar”, the wise people know all the names of Paash in their mind.300.

ਸਭ ਪਿਤਰਨ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਲੈ ਨਾਇਕ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਬਖਾਨ ॥

sabh pitaran ke naam lai naaeik bahur bakhaan |

(First) by taking the names of all the fathers, then at the end recite the title 'Nayak'.

ਸਕਲ ਨਾਮ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਪਾਸਿ ਕੇ ਚਤੁਰ ਚਿਤ ਮਹਿ ਜਾਨੁ ॥੩੦੧॥

sakal naam sree paas ke chatur chit meh jaan |301|

Saying the names of all the manes and then adding the word “Nayak”, the names of Paash are known in mind.301.

ਸਕਲ ਜਗਤ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਲੈ ਘਾਇਕ ਅਸਤ੍ਰ ਬਖਾਨੁ ॥

sakal jagat ke naam lai ghaaeik asatr bakhaan |

(First) take all the names of 'Jagat' (then) add the words 'Ghaika' and 'Astra'.

ਸਕਲ ਨਾਮ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਪਾਸਿ ਕੇ ਚਤੁਰ ਚਿਤ ਮਹਿ ਜਾਨੁ ॥੩੦੨॥

sakal naam sree paas ke chatur chit meh jaan |302|

Uttering all the names of Jagat (world) and then adding the words “Sanharak Astar”, the wise people know the innumerable names of Paash.302.

ਰਿਪੁ ਖੰਡਨਿ ਦਲ ਦਾਹਨੀ ਸਤ੍ਰੁ ਤਾਪਨੀ ਸੋਇ ॥

rip khanddan dal daahanee satru taapanee soe |

Ripu Khandan' 'Dal Dahani' and 'Satru Tapani' (etc.) which are names,

ਸਕਲ ਪਾਸਿ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਸਭ ਜਾ ਤੇ ਬਚ੍ਯੋ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥੩੦੩॥

sakal paas ke naam sabh jaa te bachayo na koe |303|

“Ripukhandan, Daldaahak, Shatrutaapak etc.,” are all names of Pqaash, from which none could save himself.303.

ਰਿਪੁ ਪਦ ਪ੍ਰਿਥਮ ਬਖਾਨਿ ਕੈ ਗ੍ਰਸਿਤਨਿ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਬਖਾਨੁ ॥

rip pad pritham bakhaan kai grasitan bahur bakhaan |

Say the word 'Ripu' first, then say the word 'Grasitni'.

ਸਕਲ ਨਾਮ ਜਮ ਪਾਸਿ ਕੇ ਚਤੁਰ ਚਿਤ ਮਹਿ ਜਾਨੁ ॥੩੦੪॥

sakal naam jam paas ke chatur chit meh jaan |304|

Uttering the word “Ripu” in the beginning and then saying the word “Grastan” all the names of Yam-Paash are known.304.

ਖਲ ਪਦ ਆਦਿ ਉਚਾਰਿ ਕੈ ਖੰਡਨਿ ਅੰਤਿ ਬਖਾਨ ॥

khal pad aad uchaar kai khanddan ant bakhaan |

By saying the word 'Khal' first, add the word 'Khandani' afterwards.

ਸਕਲ ਨਾਮ ਜਮ ਪਾਸਿ ਕੇ ਚੀਨੀਅਹੁ ਚਤੁਰ ਸੁਜਾਨ ॥੩੦੫॥

sakal naam jam paas ke cheeneeahu chatur sujaan |305|

Saying the word “Khal” in the beginning and then uttering the word “Khandan” at the end, the names of Yam-Paash are recognized.305.

ਦਲ ਦਾਹਨਿ ਰਿਪੁ ਗ੍ਰਸਿਤਨੀ ਸਤ੍ਰੁ ਤਾਪਨੀ ਸੋਇ ॥

dal daahan rip grasitanee satru taapanee soe |

Dal Dahani', 'Ripu Grasitni' and 'Satru Tapani'

ਕਾਲ ਪਾਸਿ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਸਭ ਜਾ ਤੇ ਰਹਿਤ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥੩੦੬॥

kaal paas ke naam sabh jaa te rahit na koe |306|

“Daldaahan, Ripu-grastani, Shatrutapni, etc.,” are all the names of Kaal-Paash, from which none could be saved.306.

ਜਾ ਪਦ ਪ੍ਰਿਥਮ ਉਚਾਰਿ ਕੈ ਮੀ ਪਦ ਅੰਤਿ ਬਖਾਨੁ ॥

jaa pad pritham uchaar kai mee pad ant bakhaan |

Pronounce ja' first followed by 'mi' at the end.

ਜਾਮੀ ਪਦ ਏ ਹੋਤ ਹੈ ਨਾਮ ਪਾਸਿ ਕੇ ਜਾਨੁ ॥੩੦੭॥

jaamee pad e hot hai naam paas ke jaan |307|

Saying he word “Jaa” at the end beginning and adding he word “Mee” at the end, the word “Jaamee” is formed, which means Paash.307.

ਦਿਸਾ ਬਾਰੁਣੀ ਪ੍ਰਿਥਮ ਕਹਿ ਏਸਰਾਸਤ੍ਰ ਕਹਿ ਅੰਤਿ ॥

disaa baarunee pritham keh esaraasatr keh ant |

First by saying 'Baruni Disa' (direction of Varna, West) first, then recite the word 'Esrastra' at the end.

ਨਾਮ ਸਕਲ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਪਾਸਿ ਕੇ ਨਿਕਸਤ ਚਲਤ ਬਿਅੰਤ ॥੩੦੮॥

naam sakal sree paas ke nikasat chalat biant |308|

Saying the words, “Dishaa, Vaaruni” in the beginning and uttering the words “Aishra Shattu” at the end, innumerable names of Paash continue to be evolved.308.
