ਅਭੈ ਸਿੰਘ ਸੂਰੋ ਬਡੋ ਇਛ ਸਿੰਘ ਸੁਰ ਗਿਆਨ ॥੧੩੩੮॥
abhai singh sooro baddo ichh singh sur giaan |1338|There were powerful and learned warriors in the battlefield like Asam Singh, Jas Singh, Inder Singh, Abhai Singh and Ichh Singh.1338.
ਚਮੂੰ ਭਜੀ ਭੂਪਨ ਲਖੀ ਚਲੇ ਜੁਧ ਕੇ ਕਾਜ ॥
chamoon bhajee bhoopan lakhee chale judh ke kaaj |When these kings saw the army running away, they marched forward to fight
ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਪਾਚੋ ਕੀਓ ਅਜੁ ਹਨਿ ਹੈ ਜਦੁਰਾਜ ॥੧੩੩੯॥
ahankaar paacho keeo aj han hai jaduraaj |1339|All the five said proudly, “We shall definitely kill Krishna, the Lord of Yadavas.”1339.
ਉਤ ਤੇ ਆਯੁਧ ਲੈ ਸਬੈ ਆਏ ਕੋਪ ਬਢਾਇ ॥
aut te aayudh lai sabai aae kop badtaae |From there all (kings) came armed and angry.
ਇਤ ਤੇ ਹਰਿ ਸਮੁਹੇ ਭਏ ਸ੍ਯੰਦਨ ਸੀਘ੍ਰ ਧਵਾਇ ॥੧੩੪੦॥
eit te har samuhe bhe sayandan seeghr dhavaae |1340|On the side, taking their weapons in their hands and in great rage, all of them came forward and from this side Krishna god his chariot driven and reached in front of them.1340.
ਸਵੈਯਾ ॥

ਸੁਭਟੇਸ ਮਹਾ ਬਲਵੰਤ ਤਬੈ ਜਦੁਬੀਰ ਕੀ ਓਰ ਤੇ ਆਗੇ ਹੀ ਧਾਯੋ ॥
subhattes mahaa balavant tabai jadubeer kee or te aage hee dhaayo |Then the great warrior Subhat Singh advanced from the side of Krishna.
ਪਾਚ ਹੀ ਬਾਨ ਲਏ ਤਿਹ ਪਾਨਿ ਬਡੋ ਧਨੁ ਤਾਨ ਕੈ ਕੋਪ ਬਢਾਯੋ ॥
paach hee baan le tih paan baddo dhan taan kai kop badtaayo |The mighty warrior Subhat Singh at the same time ran from the side of Krishna and taking five arrows in his hand, pulled his heavy bow in great rage
ਏਕ ਹੀ ਏਕ ਹਨਿਓ ਸਰ ਪਾਚਨ ਭੂਪਨਿ ਕੋ ਤਿਨਿ ਮਾਰਿ ਗਿਰਾਯੋ ॥
ek hee ek hanio sar paachan bhoopan ko tin maar giraayo |He killed all the five kings, each with a single arrow
ਤੂਲਿ ਜਿਉ ਜਾਰਿ ਦਏ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਪਾਚ ਮਨੋ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਆਂਚ ਸੁ ਬੇਖ ਬਨਾਯੋ ॥੧੩੪੧॥
tool jiau jaar de nrip paach mano nrip aanch su bekh banaayo |1341|These five kings blazed like straw and it appeared that Subhat Singh was the flame of fire.1341.

ਸੁਭਟ ਸਿੰਘ ਰੁਪਿ ਸਮਰ ਮੈ ਕੀਯੋ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ਬਲੁ ਜਾਸੁ ॥
subhatt singh rup samar mai keeyo prachandd bal jaas |Subhat Singh demonstrated his tremendous strength by marching on the battlefield.
ਨਰਪਤਿ ਆਏ ਪਾਚ ਬਰ ਕੀਨੋ ਤਿਨ ਕੋ ਨਾਸ ॥੧੩੪੨॥
narapat aae paach bar keeno tin ko naas |1342|Subhat Singh standing firmly in the battlefield waged a violent war and he destroyed all the five kings who had come there.1342.
ਇਤਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਨਾਟਕ ਗ੍ਰੰਥੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸਨਾਵਤਾਰੇ ਜੁਧੁ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧੇ ਪਾਚ ਭੂਪ ਬਧਹ ॥
eit sree bachitr naattak granthe krisanaavataare judh prabandhe paach bhoop badhah |End of the chapter entitled “Killing of Five Kings in Warfare” in Krishnavatara in Bachittar Natak.

aaur bhoop das kop kai dhaae sang lai beer |Other ten kings, in great fury, marched forward alongwith their warriors
ਜੁਧ ਬਿਖੈ ਦੁਰਮਦ ਬਡੇ ਮਹਾਰਥੀ ਰਨਧੀਰ ॥੧੩੪੩॥
judh bikhai duramad badde mahaarathee ranadheer |1343|They were all great charioteers and were like intoxicated elephants in war.1343.

ਆਵਤ ਹੀ ਮਿਲ ਕੈ ਦਸ ਹੂੰ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਸੁਭਟੇਸ ਕੋ ਬਾਨ ਚਲਾਏ ॥
aavat hee mil kai das hoon nrip sree subhattes ko baan chalaae |As soon as they came, ten kings shot arrows at Subhat Singh.
ਨੈਨਨ ਹੇਰਿ ਸੋਊ ਹਰਿ ਬੀਰ ਲਯੋ ਧਨੁ ਬਾਨ ਸੋ ਕਾਟਿ ਗਿਰਾਏ ॥
nainan her soaoo har beer layo dhan baan so kaatt giraae |On coming, all the ten kings discharged their arrow on Subhat Singh, who seeing them intercepted them with his own arrows
ਉਤਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਕੋ ਸੀਸ ਕਟਿਓ ਤਨਿ ਉਜਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਕੇ ਘਾਇ ਲਗਾਏ ॥
autar singh ko sees kattio tan ujal singh ke ghaae lagaae |The head of Uttar Singh was cut and Ujjal Singh was wounded
ਉਦਮ ਸਿੰਘ ਹਨਿਓ ਬਹੁਰੋ ਅਸਿ ਲੈ ਕਰਿ ਸੰਕਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਸੇ ਧਾਏ ॥੧੩੪੪॥
audam singh hanio bahuro as lai kar sankar singh se dhaae |1344|Uddam Singh was killed, then Shankar Singh came forward taking up his sword.1344.

ਓਜ ਸਿੰਘ ਕੋ ਹਤ ਕੀਯੋ ਓਟ ਸਿੰਘ ਕੋ ਮਾਰਿ ॥
oj singh ko hat keeyo ott singh ko maar |After killing of Ot Singh, Oj Singh was killed
ਉਧ ਸਿੰਘ ਉਸਨੇਸ ਅਰੁ ਉਤਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਸੰਘਾਰਿ ॥੧੩੪੫॥
audh singh usanes ar utar singh sanghaar |1345|Uddh Singh, Ushnesh Singh and Uttar Singh were also killed.1345.
ਭੂਪ ਨਵੋ ਜਬ ਇਹ ਹਨੇ ਏਕੁ ਬਚਿਯੋ ਸੰਗ੍ਰਾਮਿ ॥
bhoop navo jab ih hane ek bachiyo sangraam |When he (Subhat Singh) killed nine kings and (only) one remained in the battlefield.
ਨਹੀ ਭਾਜਿਯੋ ਬਲਵੰਤ ਸੋ ਉਗ੍ਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਤਿਹ ਨਾਮੁ ॥੧੩੪੬॥
nahee bhaajiyo balavant so ugr singh tih naam |1346|When the nine kings were killed, the king who did not run away from war, his name was Uggar Singh.1346.

ਉਗ੍ਰ ਬਲੀ ਪੜਿ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਮਹਾ ਸਰ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਸੁਭਟੇਸ ਕੀ ਓਰਿ ਚਲਾਯੋ ॥
augr balee parr mantr mahaa sar sree subhattes kee or chalaayo |After reciting the Maha Mantra on the arrow, Ugra Singh Surme shot it at Subhat Singh.
ਲਾਗ ਗਯੋ ਤਿਹ ਕੇ ਉਰ ਮੈ ਬਰ ਕੈ ਤਨ ਭੇਦ ਕੈ ਪਾਰ ਪਰਾਯੋ ॥
laag gayo tih ke ur mai bar kai tan bhed kai paar paraayo |The great warrior Uggar Singh, reciting his mantra, discharged one arrow towards Subhat Singh, which hit his heart and tearing his body, penetrated through it
ਭੂਮਿ ਪਰਿਯੋ ਮਰਿ ਬਾਨ ਲਗੇ ਇਹ ਕੋ ਜਸੁ ਯੌ ਕਬਿ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਸੁਨਾਯੋ ॥
bhoom pariyo mar baan lage ih ko jas yau kab sayaam sunaayo |(Subhat Singh) fell dead on the ground after being hit by an arrow, the poet Shyam recounted his success like this.
ਭੂਪ ਹਨੇ ਕੀਏ ਪਾਪ ਘਨੇ ਜਮ ਨੇ ਉਡਿਯਾ ਮਨੋ ਨਾਗ ਡਸਾਯੋ ॥੧੩੪੭॥
bhoop hane kee paap ghane jam ne uddiyaa mano naag ddasaayo |1347|He died and fell down on the ground and according to the poet Shyam he might have committed the sin of killing many kings, then this arrows of Yama like a Cobra had stung him.1347.

ਜਾਦਵ ਏਕ ਮਨੋਜ ਸਿੰਘ ਤਬ ਨਿਕਸਿਯੋ ਬਰ ਬੀਰ ॥
jaadav ek manoj singh tab nikasiyo bar beer |Then Manoj Singh (name) a warrior has come out
ਉਗ੍ਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਪਰ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਕਰਿ ਚਲਿਯੋ ਮਹਾ ਰਨ ਧੀਰ ॥੧੩੪੮॥
augr singh par krodh kar chaliyo mahaa ran dheer |1348|Then a Yadava named Manoj Singh came forward and fell upon Uggar Singh in great rage.1348.

jaadav aavat pekh balee ar beer mahaa ran dheer sanbhaario |Seeing the mighty Yadava warrior coming, the great war-hero Uggar Singh became alert and
ਲੋਹ ਮਈ ਗਰੂਓ ਬਰਛਾ ਗਹਿ ਕੈ ਬਲਿ ਸੋ ਕਰਿ ਕੋਪ ਪ੍ਰਹਾਰਿਓ ॥
loh mee garooo barachhaa geh kai bal so kar kop prahaario |Catching in ire his lance of steel, he struck a blow with great strength
ਲਾਗਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਨੋਜ ਹਨਿਓ ਤਿਹ ਪ੍ਰਾਨਨ ਲੈ ਜਮ ਧਾਮਿ ਪਧਾਰਿਓ ॥
laagat singh manoj hanio tih praanan lai jam dhaam padhaario |On receiving the blow of the lance Manoj Singh died and proceeded to the abode of Yama
ਮਾਰ ਕੈ ਤਾਹਿ ਲੀਯੋ ਧਨੁ ਬਾਨ ਬਲੀ ਬਲੁ ਕੈ ਬਲਿ ਕੋ ਲਲਕਾਰਿਓ ॥੧੩੪੯॥
maar kai taeh leeyo dhan baan balee bal kai bal ko lalakaario |1349|After killing him, Uggar Singh challenged the mighty warrior Balram.1349.
ਆਵਤ ਸਤ੍ਰਹਿ ਪੇਖਿ ਹਲਾਯੁਧ ਕੋਪ ਕੀਯੋ ਗਹਿ ਮੂਸਰ ਧਾਯੋ ॥
aavat satreh pekh halaayudh kop keeyo geh moosar dhaayo |Seeing the enemy coming, Balram caught hold of his mace and fell upon him
ਆਪਸਿ ਮੈ ਬਲਵੰਤ ਅਰੈ ਦੋਊ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਕਹੈ ਅਤਿ ਜੁਧੁ ਮਚਾਯੋ ॥
aapas mai balavant arai doaoo sayaam kahai at judh machaayo |Both these warriors fought a dreadful war between them
ਉਗ੍ਰ ਨਰੇਸ ਕੇ ਲਾਗਿ ਗਯੋ ਸਿਰਿ ਮੂਸਲ ਦਾਇ ਬਚਾਇ ਨ ਆਯੋ ॥
augr nares ke laag gayo sir moosal daae bachaae na aayo |Uggar Singh could not save himself from trick and the mace hit his head
ਭੂਮਿ ਗਿਰਿਯੋ ਮਰ ਕੈ ਜਬ ਹੀ ਮੁਸਲੀ ਅਪਨਾ ਤਬ ਸੰਖ ਬਜਾਯੋ ॥੧੩੫੦॥
bhoom giriyo mar kai jab hee musalee apanaa tab sankh bajaayo |1350|He died and fell down on the ground, then Balram blew his conch.1350.
ਇਤਿ ਦਸ ਭੂਪ ਸੈਨਾ ਸਹਿਤ ਬਧਹਿ ਧਯਾਇ ਸਮਾਪਤੰ ॥
eit das bhoop sainaa sahit badheh dhayaae samaapatan |End of the chapter entitled “Killing of Ten Kings alongwith the Army.”
