ਜਦੁਬੀਰ ਅਯੋਧਨ ਮੈ ਬਲ ਕੈ ਅਰਿ ਬੀਰ ਲੀਏ ਸਬ ਹੀ ਬਸਿ ਕੈ ॥੧੭੭੭॥
jadubeer ayodhan mai bal kai ar beer lee sab hee bas kai |1777|Many were pulversied with the blows of the mace and with his power Krishna subdued all the warriors in the war-arena.1777.
ਬਲਭਦ੍ਰ ਇਤੇ ਬਹੁ ਬੀਰ ਹਨੇ ਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਥ ਉਤੈ ਬਹੁ ਸੂਰ ਸੰਘਾਰੇ ॥
balabhadr ite bahu beer hane brijanaath utai bahu soor sanghaare |On this side Balram and on the other side Krishna killed many warriors
ਜੋ ਸਭ ਜੀਤ ਫਿਰੇ ਜਗ ਕਉ ਅਰੁ ਗਾਢ ਪਰੀ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਕਾਮ ਸਵਾਰੇ ॥
jo sabh jeet fire jag kau ar gaadt paree nrip kaam savaare |The warriors, who were the conquerors of the world and were to be very useful to the king in the days o affliction,
ਤੇ ਘਨਿ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਅਯੋਧਨ ਮੈ ਬਿਨੁ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਕੀਏ ਅਰਿ ਭੂ ਪਰ ਡਾਰੇ ॥
te ghan sayaam ayodhan mai bin praan kee ar bhoo par ddaare |Sri Krishna has killed them in the battlefield and thrown them on the earth.
ਇਉ ਉਪਮਾ ਉਪਜੀ ਜੀਯ ਮੈ ਕਦਲੀ ਮਨੋ ਪਉਨ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ਉਖਾਰੇ ॥੧੭੭੮॥
eiau upamaa upajee jeey mai kadalee mano paun prachandd ukhaare |1778|Krishna made them lifeless and lain them on the ground like the uprooted banana trees by the violent blowing of wind.1778.
ਜੋ ਰਨ ਮੰਡਨ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਕੇ ਸੰਗਿ ਭਲੇ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਧਾਮਨ ਕਉ ਤਜਿ ਧਾਏ ॥
jo ran manddan sayaam ke sang bhale nrip dhaaman kau taj dhaae |who had left home to fight with the good king Sri Krishna;
ਏਕ ਰਥੈ ਗਜ ਰਾਜ ਚਢੇ ਇਕ ਬਾਜਨ ਕੇ ਅਸਵਾਰ ਸੁਹਾਏ ॥
ek rathai gaj raaj chadte ik baajan ke asavaar suhaae |The kings who had left their homes and had come to fight with Krishna and who had been looking splendid while riding on their horses, elephants and chariots,
ਤੇ ਘਨਿ ਜਿਉ ਬ੍ਰਿਜ ਰਾਜ ਕੇ ਪਉਰਖ ਪਉਨ ਬਹੈ ਛਿਨ ਮਾਝ ਉਡਾਏ ॥
te ghan jiau brij raaj ke paurakh paun bahai chhin maajh uddaae |They were destroyed by the power of Krihsna like the clouds destroyed by the wind in an instant
ਕਾਇਰ ਭਾਜਤ ਐਸੇ ਕਹੈ ਅਬ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਰਹੈ ਮਨੋ ਲਾਖਨ ਪਾਇ ॥੧੭੭੯॥
kaaeir bhaajat aaise kahai ab praan rahai mano laakhan paae |1779|The cowards running away and protecting their lives were considering themselves very fortunate.1779.
ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਕੇ ਛੂਟਤ ਬਾਨਨ ਚਕ੍ਰ ਸੁ ਚਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਹੁਇ ਰਥ ਚਕ੍ਰ ਭ੍ਰਮਾਵਤ ॥
sayaam ke chhoottat baanan chakr su chakrit hue rath chakr bhramaavat |Seeing the arrows and discus of Krishna being discharged, the wheels of the chariots also revolved marvelously
ਏਕ ਬਲੀ ਕੁਲ ਲਾਜ ਲੀਏ ਦ੍ਰਿੜ ਹੁਇ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਸੰਗਿ ਜੂਝ ਮਚਾਵਤ ॥
ek balee kul laaj lee drirr hue har ke sang joojh machaavat |The kings, considering the honour and tradition of their clans, are fighting with Krishna,
ਅਉਰ ਬਡੇ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਲੈ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਆਇਸ ਆਵਤ ਹੈ ਚਲੇ ਗਾਲ ਬਜਾਵਤ ॥
aaur badde nrip lai nrip aaeis aavat hai chale gaal bajaavat |And several other kings, getting order from Jarasandh are proudly shouting and going for war
ਬੀਰ ਬਡੇ ਜਦੁਬੀਰ ਕਉ ਦੇਖਨ ਚਉਪ ਚੜੇ ਲਰਬੇ ਕਹੁ ਧਾਵਤ ॥੧੭੮੦॥
beer badde jadubeer kau dekhan chaup charre larabe kahu dhaavat |1780|Great warriors with eagerness in there mind t have to sight of Krishna, are coming for fighting.1780.
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਥ ਤਬੈ ਤਿਨ ਹੀ ਧਨੁ ਤਾਨ ਕੈ ਬਾਨ ਸਮੂਹ ਚਲਾਵਤ ॥
sree brijanaath tabai tin hee dhan taan kai baan samooh chalaavat |Krishna then pulled his bow and discharged a cluster of arrows and
ਆਇ ਲਗੈ ਭਟ ਏਕਨ ਕਉ ਨਟ ਸਾਲ ਭਏ ਮਨ ਮੈ ਦੁਖੁ ਪਾਵਤ ॥
aae lagai bhatt ekan kau natt saal bhe man mai dukh paavat |The warriors who were his by them, writhed in great suffering
ਏਕ ਤੁਰੰਗਨ ਕੀ ਭੁਜ ਬਾਨ ਲਗੈ ਅਤਿ ਰਾਮ ਮਹਾ ਛਬਿ ਪਾਵਤ ॥
ek turangan kee bhuj baan lagai at raam mahaa chhab paavat |The arrows have penetrated into the legs of the horses
ਸਾਲ ਮੁਨੀਸ੍ਵਰ ਕਾਟੇ ਹੁਤੇ ਬ੍ਰਿਜਰਾਜ ਮਨੋ ਤਿਹ ਪੰਖ ਬਨਾਵਤ ॥੧੭੮੧॥
saal muneesvar kaatte hute brijaraaj mano tih pankh banaavat |1781|These winged arrows discharged by Krishna on the bodies of the horses appears like new wings cut earlier by the sage Shalihoter.1781.

ਤਬ ਸਭ ਸਤ੍ਰ ਕੋਪ ਮਨਿ ਭਰੇ ॥
tab sabh satr kop man bhare |Then anger is filled in the mind of all the enemies
ਘੇਰ ਲਯੋ ਹਰਿ ਨੈਕੁ ਨ ਡਰੇ ॥
gher layo har naik na ddare |Then all the enemies were filled with rage and they fearlessly surrounded Krishna
ਬਿਬਿਧਾਯੁਧ ਲੈ ਆਹਵ ਕਰੈ ॥
bibidhaayudh lai aahav karai |They fight with different types of weapons
ਮਾਰ ਮਾਰ ਮੁਖ ਤੇ ਉਚਰੈ ॥੧੭੮੨॥
maar maar mukh te ucharai |1782|Shouting “kill, kill, they began to fight taking up various kinds of weapons.1782.

ਕ੍ਰੁਧਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨ ਸੰਭਾਰ ਕੈ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਕੈ ਸਾਮੁਹੇ ਟੇਰਿ ਉਚਾਰਿਓ ॥
krudhat singh kripaan sanbhaar kai sayaam kai saamuhe tter uchaario |Krudhat Singh took hold of the Kirpan and stood in front of Sri Krishna and said,
ਕੇਸ ਗਹੇ ਖੜਗੇਸ ਬਲੀ ਜਬ ਛਾਡਿ ਦਯੋ ਤਬ ਚਕ੍ਰ ਸੰਭਾਰਿਓ ॥
kes gahe kharrages balee jab chhaadd dayo tab chakr sanbhaario |Taking out his sword, Karodhit Singh came in front of Krishna and said, “When Kharag Singh had caught you from your hair and then released you, then you thinking of your protection, took up your discus at a distance
ਗੋਰਸ ਖਾਤ ਗ੍ਵਾਰਿਨ ਵੈ ਦਿਨ ਭੂਲ ਗਏ ਅਬ ਜੁਧ ਬਿਚਾਰਿਓ ॥
goras khaat gvaarin vai din bhool ge ab judh bichaario |“You drank the milk in the houses of milkmaids, have you forgotten those days? And now you have made up your mind to fight”
ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਭਨੈ ਜਦੁਬੀਰ ਕਉ ਮਾਨਹੁ ਬੈਨਨ ਬਾਨਨ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਮਾਰਿਓ ॥੧੭੮੩॥
sayaam bhanai jadubeer kau maanahu bainan baanan kai sang maario |1783|The poet says that Karodhit Singh appeared to be killing Krishna with the arrows of his words.1783.
ਇਉ ਸੁਨ ਕੈ ਬਤੀਯਾ ਬ੍ਰਿਜ ਨਾਇਕ ਕੋਪ ਕੀਓ ਕਰਿ ਚਕ੍ਰ ਸੰਭਾਰਿਯੋ ॥
eiau sun kai bateeyaa brij naaeik kop keeo kar chakr sanbhaariyo |Hearing such things, Sri Krishna got angry and held the Sudarshan Chakra in his hand.
ਨੈਕੁ ਭ੍ਰਮਾਇ ਕੈ ਪਾਨ ਬਿਖੈ ਬਲਿ ਕੈ ਅਰਿ ਗ੍ਰੀਵ ਕੇ ਊਪਰ ਡਾਰਿਯੋ ॥
naik bhramaae kai paan bikhai bal kai ar greev ke aoopar ddaariyo |Hearing these words, Krihsna, getting enraged, held up his discus and exhibiting his anger through his eyes, discharged it on the neck of the enemy
ਲਾਗਤ ਸੀਸੁ ਕਟਿਯੋ ਤਿਹ ਕੋ ਗਿਰ ਭੂਮਿ ਪਰਿਯੋ ਜਸੁ ਸਿਆਮ ਉਚਾਰਿਯੋ ॥
laagat sees kattiyo tih ko gir bhoom pariyo jas siaam uchaariyo |Immediately his head was cut off and fell on the ground. (His) likeness (the poet) Shyam has said thus,
ਤਾਰ ਕੁੰਭਾਰ ਲੈ ਹਾਥ ਬਿਖੈ ਮਨੋ ਚਾਕ ਕੇ ਕੁੰਭ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਉਤਾਰਿਯੋ ॥੧੭੮੪॥
taar kunbhaar lai haath bikhai mano chaak ke kunbh turant utaariyo |1784|On being hit by the discus, his head fell down on the earth like a potter taking down the pitcher from the wheel, cutting it with his wire.1784.
ਜੁਧ ਕੀਓ ਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਥ ਕੈ ਸਾਥ ਸੁ ਸਤ੍ਰੁ ਬਿਦਾਰ ਕਹੈ ਜਗ ਜਾ ਕਉ ॥
judh keeo brijanaath kai saath su satru bidaar kahai jag jaa kau |Famous by the name of Shatru-hanta (killer of the enemies), Karodhit Singh fought with Krishna, who made this warrior lifeless
ਜਾ ਦਸ ਹੂੰ ਦਿਸ ਜੀਤ ਲਈ ਛਿਨ ਮੈ ਬਿਨੁ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਕੀਓ ਹਰਿ ਤਾ ਕਉ ॥
jaa das hoon dis jeet lee chhin mai bin praan keeo har taa kau |This warrior had earlier been the conqueror of all the ten directions
ਜੋਤਿ ਮਿਲੀ ਤਿਹ ਕੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸਿਉ ਜਿਮ ਦੀਪਕ ਕ੍ਰਾਤਿ ਮਿਲੈ ਰਵਿ ਭਾ ਕਉ ॥
jot milee tih kee prabh siau jim deepak kraat milai rav bhaa kau |His soul merged in the Lord like the light of the earthen lamp with the light of the sun
ਸੂਰਜ ਮੰਡਲ ਛੇਦ ਕੈ ਭੇਦ ਕੈ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਗਏ ਹਰਿ ਧਾਮ ਦਸਾ ਕਉ ॥੧੭੮੫॥
sooraj manddal chhed kai bhed kai praan ge har dhaam dasaa kau |1785|Touching the sphere of the sun, his soul reached the Supreme abode.1785.
ਸਤ੍ਰੁ ਬਿਦਾਰ ਹਨਿਓ ਜਬ ਹੀ ਤਬ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬ੍ਰਿਜਭੂਖਨ ਕੋਪ ਭਰਿਯੋ ਹੈ ॥
satru bidaar hanio jab hee tab sree brijabhookhan kop bhariyo hai |When Satru-Bidar was killed, Lord Krishna's mind was filled with anger.
ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਭਨੇ ਤਜਿ ਕੈ ਸਬ ਸੰਕ ਨਿਸੰਕ ਹੁਇ ਬੈਰਨ ਮਾਝ ਪਰਿਯੋ ਹੈ ॥
sayaam bhane taj kai sab sank nisank hue bairan maajh pariyo hai |Killing this enemy, Krishna being highly enraged, forsaking all hesitation’s jumped into the enemy’s army
ਭੈਰਵ ਭੂਪ ਸਿਉ ਜੁਧ ਕੀਓ ਸੁ ਵਹੈ ਛਿਨ ਮੈ ਬਿਨੁ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਕਰਿਯੋ ਹੈ ॥
bhairav bhoop siau judh keeo su vahai chhin mai bin praan kariyo hai |Bhairav' (named) has fought with the king and in the blink of an eye has rendered him lifeless.
ਭੂਮਿ ਗਿਰਿਯੋ ਰਥ ਤੇ ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਮਨੋ ਨਭ ਤੇ ਗ੍ਰਹ ਟੂਟਿ ਪਰਿਯੋ ਹੈ ॥੧੭੮੬॥
bhoom giriyo rath te ih bhaat mano nabh te grah ttoott pariyo hai |1786|He fought with king Bhairav Singh and killed him also in an instant and he fell down on the ground from his chariot like planet breaking and falling down from the sky.1786.
ਏਕ ਭਰੇ ਭਟ ਸ੍ਰੌਨਤ ਸੋ ਭਭਕਾਰਤ ਘਾਇ ਫਿਰੈ ਰਨਿ ਡੋਲਤ ॥
ek bhare bhatt srauanat so bhabhakaarat ghaae firai ran ddolat |The warriors are roaming in the battlefield, saturated with blood and with wounds full of pus
ਏਕ ਪਰੇ ਗਿਰ ਕੈ ਧਰਨੀ ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਤਨ ਜੰਬੁਕ ਗੀਧ ਕਢੋਲਤ ॥
ek pare gir kai dharanee tin ke tan janbuk geedh kadtolat |Some have fallen on the earth and their bodies are being pulled by jackals and vultures
ਏਕਨ ਕੇ ਮੁਖਿ ਓਠਨ ਆਂਖਨ ਕਾਗ ਸੁ ਚੋਚਨ ਸਿਉ ਟਕ ਟੋਲਤ ॥
ekan ke mukh otthan aankhan kaag su chochan siau ttak ttolat |And the mouths, lips, eyes, etc. of many are being scratched with beaks.
ਏਕਨ ਕੀ ਉਰਿ ਆਂਤਨ ਕੋ ਕਢਿ ਜੋਗਨਿ ਹਾਥਨ ਸਿਉ ਝਕਝੋਲਤ ॥੧੭੮੭॥
ekan kee ur aantan ko kadt jogan haathan siau jhakajholat |1787|The crows are pulling with force the eyes and faces of many and the Yoginis are shaking in the hands the intestines of many others.1787.
ਮਾਨ ਭਰੇ ਅਸਿ ਪਾਨਿ ਧਰੇ ਚਹੂੰ ਓਰਨ ਤੇ ਬਹੁਰੋ ਅਰਿ ਆਏ ॥
maan bhare as paan dhare chahoon oran te bahuro ar aae |Taking their swords in their hands, the enemies fell upon Krishna’s army proudly from all the four directions
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਜਦੁਬੀਰ ਕੇ ਬੀਰ ਜਿਤੇ ਕਬਿ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਕਹੈ ਇਤ ਤੇ ਤੇਊ ਧਾਏ ॥
sree jadubeer ke beer jite kab sayaam kahai it te teaoo dhaae |From this side Krishna’s warriors advanced,
ਬਾਨਨ ਸੈਥਿਨ ਅਉ ਕਰਵਾਰਿ ਹਕਾਰਿ ਹਕਾਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਹਾਰ ਲਗਾਏ ॥
baanan saithin aau karavaar hakaar hakaar prahaar lagaae |And challenging the enemy began to strike blows with their arrows, swords and daggers
ਆਇ ਖਏ ਇਕ ਜੀਤ ਲਏ ਇਕ ਭਾਜਿ ਗਏ ਇਕ ਮਾਰਿ ਗਿਰਾਏ ॥੧੭੮੮॥
aae khe ik jeet le ik bhaaj ge ik maar giraae |1788|Those who come to fight, they are conquered, but many have fled away and many are being knocked down.1788.
ਜੇ ਭਟ ਆਹਵ ਮੈ ਕਬਹੂੰ ਅਰਿ ਕੈ ਲਰਿ ਕੈ ਪਗੁ ਏਕ ਨ ਟਾਰੇ ॥
je bhatt aahav mai kabahoon ar kai lar kai pag ek na ttaare |Those warriors who did not even retrace one step while fighting
