ਲਪਟਿ ਤਿਹਾਰੀ ਨਾਰਿ ਏਕ ਨਰ ਸੋ ਰਹੀ ॥
lapatt tihaaree naar ek nar so rahee |That your wife is having an affair with a man.
ਕਰਮ ਸਿੰਘ ਕਰਿ ਕੋਪ ਤਹਾ ਚਲਿ ਆਇਯੋ ॥
karam singh kar kop tahaa chal aaeiyo |Karam Singh got angry and went there.
ਹੋ ਅਛਲ ਮਤੀ ਯਹ ਭੇਦ ਸਕਲ ਸੁਨਿ ਪਾਇਯੋ ॥੧੩॥
ho achhal matee yah bhed sakal sun paaeiyo |13|Achal Mati came to know about all this. 13.
ਪਕਰਿ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਕੀ ਪਗਿਯਾ ਦਈ ਚਲਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
pakar nripat kee pagiyaa dee chalaae kai |(Kumari already sent a sakhi ahead. He pretended to be mad) grabbed the king's turban and threw it away.
ਕਹਿਯੋ ਸਖੀ ਬਵਰੀ ਭਈ ਗਈ ਵਹ ਧਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
kahiyo sakhee bavaree bhee gee vah dhaae kai |(The queen) ran away and started saying. O Sakhi! you are crazy
ਲਰਿਕਨ ਕੀ ਸੀ ਖੇਲ ਕਰਤ ਤਿਹ ਠਾ ਭਈ ॥
larikan kee see khel karat tih tthaa bhee |They started playing there like children
ਹੋ ਦੁਤਿਯ ਸਖੀ ਲੈ ਪਾਗ ਚਲਾਇ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਦਈ ॥੧੪॥
ho dutiy sakhee lai paag chalaae bahur dee |14|And the second Sakhi took the turban and threw it away. 14.
ਜਬ ਵੁਹਿ ਦਿਸਿ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਜਾਇ ਤੌ ਵੁਹਿ ਦਿਸਿ ਡਾਰਹੀ ॥
jab vuhi dis nrip jaae tau vuhi dis ddaarahee |When the king went to that side, they would throw off the val (turban) on that side.
ਲਰਿਕਨ ਕੇ ਗਿੰਦੂਆ ਜਿਮਿ ਪਾਗ ਉਛਾਰਹੀ ॥
larikan ke gindooaa jim paag uchhaarahee |They were tossing the turban like children.
ਧੂਰਿ ਆਪਨੇ ਸੀਸ ਨਾਥ ਕੇ ਡਾਰਿ ਕੈ ॥
dhoor aapane sees naath ke ddaar kai |They were throwing dust on their heads and on the king's head.
ਹੋ ਲਹਿ ਹਾਇਲ ਤਿਨ ਮਿਤ੍ਰਹਿ ਦਯੋ ਨਿਕਾਰਿ ਕੈ ॥੧੫॥
ho leh haaeil tin mitreh dayo nikaar kai |15|Seeing them (friends) come between ('Hail'), (the queen) chased Mitra away from there. 15.
ਜਬ ਲਗਿ ਪਗਿਯਾ ਲੇਨ ਰਾਇ ਚਲਿ ਆਇਯੋ ॥
jab lag pagiyaa len raae chal aaeiyo |By the time the king came to get the turban,
ਤਬ ਲਗਿ ਰਾਨੀ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਸਦਨ ਪਹੁਚਾਇਯੋ ॥
tab lag raanee mitr sadan pahuchaaeiyo |Until then, the queen took Mitra to (her) house.
ਮਤਵਾਰੀ ਉਨ ਭਾਖਿ ਅਧਿਕ ਮਾਰਤ ਭਈ ॥
matavaaree un bhaakh adhik maarat bhee |Calling them crazy, (the queen) started beating them a lot
ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਕੀ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਟਾਰਿ ਸਕਲ ਚਿਤ ਕੀ ਦਈ ॥੧੬॥
nrip kee chintaa ttaar sakal chit kee dee |16|(And thus) removed all anxiety from the king's mind. 16.
ਤਬ ਰਾਜੈ ਗਹਿ ਕੈ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਕੋ ਕਰ ਰਾਖਿਯੋ ॥
tab raajai geh kai triy ko kar raakhiyo |Then the king took the queen by the hand
ਆਪੁ ਬਚਨ ਤਾ ਕੋ ਐਸੀ ਬਿਧਿ ਭਾਖਿਯੋ ॥
aap bachan taa ko aaisee bidh bhaakhiyo |And he himself told him so
ਮਤਵਾਰੇ ਮੂਰਖ ਸਿਸਿ ਕੋ ਨਹਿ ਮਾਰਿਯੈ ॥
matavaare moorakh sis ko neh maariyai |That a foolish child (ie servant) should not be killed.
ਹੋ ਹੋਨਹਾਰ ਮੁਹਿ ਭੀ ਇਨ ਕਛੁ ਨ ਉਚਾਰਿਯੈ ॥੧੭॥
ho honahaar muhi bhee in kachh na uchaariyai |17|What was supposed to happen to me has happened, now don't say anything to them. 17.

ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਕੀ ਪਾਗ ਉਤਾਰਿ ਕੈ ਦੀਨੀ ਪ੍ਰਥਮ ਚਲਾਇ ॥
nrip kee paag utaar kai deenee pratham chalaae |First by removing the king's turban and blowing it away.
ਜਾਰ ਉਬਾਰਿਯੋ ਜੜ ਛਲਿਯੋ ਚੇਰੀ ਲਈ ਬਚਾਇ ॥੧੮॥
jaar ubaariyo jarr chhaliyo cheree lee bachaae |18|Saved the friend, tricked the fool (king) and saved the maid. 18.

eit sree charitr pakhayaane triyaa charitre mantree bhoop sanbaade doe sau paitees charitr samaapatam sat subham sat |235|4417|afajoon|Here is the conclusion of the 235th charitra of Mantri Bhup Sambad of Tria Charitra of Sri Charitropakhyan, all is auspicious. 235.4417. goes on

ਤਿਬਤ ਕੋ ਇਕ ਰਾਇ ਸੁਲਛਨ ॥

ਰੂਪ ਬਿਖੈ ਤਾ ਸੀ ਤਰੁਨਿ ਤੀਨਿ ਲੋਕ ਮੈ ਨਾਹਿ ॥੨॥

ਮੁਜਰਾ ਕੌ ਬੇਸ੍ਵਾ ਜਬ ਆਵੈ ॥

ਮਨ ਮੈ ਅਧਿਕ ਮਸਤ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਝੂਲੈ ॥
man mai adhik masat hvai jhoolai |She used to swing (ie danced) in a state of great ecstasy.
ਨਿਜੁ ਤਨ ਕੀ ਤਾ ਕੌ ਸੁਧਿ ਭੂਲੈ ॥੩॥
nij tan kee taa kau sudh bhoolai |3|And he used to forget the appearance of his body. 3.
ਚਿਤ ਮੈ ਚਿੰਤ ਰੈਨਿ ਦਿਨ ਕਰੈ ॥

ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਕੀ ਆਸ ਸਦਾ ਮਨ ਧਰੈ ॥
nrip kee aas sadaa man dharai |And always kept the hope of the king in mind.
ਕਿਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਮੋ ਸੰਗ ਭੋਗ ਕਮਾਵੈ ॥
kih bidh mo sang bhog kamaavai |(She kept thinking) how (the king) would indulge me.
ਸੋ ਦਿਨ ਮੋਹਿ ਕਹੋ ਕਬ ਆਵੈ ॥੪॥
so din mohi kaho kab aavai |4|Tell me, when will that day be achieved. 4.
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥
doharaa |dual:
ਰਾਵ ਨ ਤਾ ਕੋ ਹੇਰਈ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਮਨ ਮੈ ਲਲਚਾਇ ॥
raav na taa ko heree triy man mai lalachaae |The king did not look at him and the woman was tempted (for him) in her mind.
ਜਤਨ ਕਾ ਕਰੌ ਜੋ ਮੁਝੈ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਮਨ ਭਜੈ ਬਨਾਇ ॥੫॥
jatan kaa karau jo mujhai nrip man bhajai banaae |5|(She thought that) what efforts should I make so that King Mano will have fun with me.5.

ਜਬ ਰਾਜਾ ਦੀਵਾਨ ਲਗਾਵੈ ॥
jab raajaa deevaan lagaavai |When (once) the king held a court,
ਤਵਨ ਸਮੈ ਤਰੁਨੀ ਸੁਨਿ ਪਾਵੈ ॥
tavan samai tarunee sun paavai |(Then) the woman (prostitute) knew about that time.
ਹਾਥ ਜੋਰਿ ਠਾਢੀ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਰਹਈ ॥
haath jor tthaadtee hvai rahee |She would stand with folded hands
ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਆਸਕੀ ਜ੍ਯੋਂ ਨਿਰਬਹਈ ॥੬॥
prem aasakee jayon nirabahee |6|And plays love like love. 6.
