ਸਾਗ ਸਮਰ ਕਰ ਸੈਹਥੀ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਸਸਨ ਕੁੰਭੇਸ ॥

saag samar kar saihathee sasatr sasan kunbhes |

Saihathi, manifesting the powerful form of the lance and war, which is also the best amongst the weapons,

ਸਬਲ ਸੁ ਭਟਹਾ ਹਾਥ ਲੈ ਜੀਤੇ ਸਮਰ ਸੁਰੇਸ ॥੫੩॥

sabal su bhattahaa haath lai jeete samar sures |53|

was used by the mighty warriors Indra, taking it in his own hand for conquering the war.53.

ਛਤ੍ਰਧਰ ਮ੍ਰਿਗਹਾ ਬਿਜੈ ਕਰਿ ਭਟਹਾ ਜਾ ਕੋ ਨਾਮ ॥

chhatradhar mrigahaa bijai kar bhattahaa jaa ko naam |

Chhattardhara, Mrigvijai, Kar etc. are is its names she is also called Bhaala and Neja, Barachhi, Saihathi, Shakat etc.,

ਸਕਲ ਸਿਧ ਦਾਤ੍ਰੀ ਸਭਨ ਅਮਿਤ ਸਿਧ ਕੋ ਧਾਮ ॥੫੪॥

sakal sidh daatree sabhan amit sidh ko dhaam |54|

It is she donor of all the powers and also the treasure of infinite powers.54.

ਲਛਮਨ ਅਉਰ ਘਟੋਤਕਚ ਏ ਪਦ ਪ੍ਰਿਥਮ ਉਚਾਰਿ ॥

lachhaman aaur ghattotakach e pad pritham uchaar |

Uttering Lakshman and Ghatotkash in the beginning and then saying “Ar”,

ਪੁਨਿ ਅਰਿ ਭਾਖੋ ਸਕਤਿ ਕੇ ਨਿਕਸਹਿ ਨਾਮ ਅਪਾਰ ॥੫੫॥

pun ar bhaakho sakat ke nikaseh naam apaar |55|

many names of Shakat (Kripaan) are evolved.55.

ਗੜੀਆ ਭਸੁਡੀ ਭੈਰਵੀ ਭਾਲਾ ਨੇਜਾ ਭਾਖੁ ॥

garreea bhasuddee bhairavee bhaalaa nejaa bhaakh |

She is the one which plants and frightens

ਬਰਛੀ ਸੈਥੀ ਸਕਤਿ ਸਭ ਜਾਨ ਹ੍ਰਿਦੈ ਮੈ ਰਾਖੁ ॥੫੬॥

barachhee saithee sakat sabh jaan hridai mai raakh |56|

Are the names worth concentrating in respect of war in the mind.56.

ਬਿਸਨੁ ਨਾਮ ਪ੍ਰਿਥਮੈ ਉਚਰਿ ਪੁਨਿ ਪਦ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਉਚਾਰਿ ॥

bisan naam prithamai uchar pun pad sasatr uchaar |

Uttering the word “Vishnu” in the beginning and then saying “Shastar”,

ਨਾਮ ਸੁਦਰਸਨ ਕੇ ਸਭੈ ਨਿਕਸਤ ਜਾਹਿ ਅਪਾਰ ॥੫੭॥

naam sudarasan ke sabhai nikasat jaeh apaar |57|

many names of Sudarshan continue to be formed.57.

ਮੁਰ ਪਦ ਪ੍ਰਿਥਮ ਉਚਾਰਿ ਕੈ ਮਰਦਨ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਕਹੋ ॥

mur pad pritham uchaar kai maradan bahur kaho |

Pronounce the word mur' (a giant) first and then say the word 'mardan'.

ਨਾਮ ਸੁਦਰਸਨ ਚਕ੍ਰ ਕੇ ਚਿਤ ਮੈ ਚਤੁਰ ਲਹੋ ॥੫੮॥

naam sudarasan chakr ke chit mai chatur laho |58|

Saying firstly the word “Mur” and then uttering the word “Mardan”, the wise people understand the name of Sudarshan Chakra.58.

ਮਧੁ ਕੋ ਨਾਮ ਉਚਾਰਿ ਕੈ ਹਾ ਪਦ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਉਚਾਰਿ ॥

madh ko naam uchaar kai haa pad bahur uchaar |

(First) pronounce the name of 'Madhu' (a demon) and then pronounce the word 'ha'.

ਨਾਮ ਸੁਦਰਸਨ ਚਕ੍ਰ ਕੇ ਲੀਜੈ ਸੁਕਬਿ ਸੁਧਾਰਿ ॥੫੯॥

naam sudarasan chakr ke leejai sukab sudhaar |59|

Saying “Madhu” in the beginning and then uttering “Ha” the poets speak correctly the names of Sudarshan Chakra.59.

ਨਰਕਾਸੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਿਥਮੈ ਉਚਰਿ ਪੁਨਿ ਰਿਪੁ ਸਬਦ ਬਖਾਨ ॥

narakaasur prithamai uchar pun rip sabad bakhaan |

Narkasur' (a giant) (word) first, then say the word 'Ripu'.

ਨਾਮ ਸੁਦਰਸਨ ਚਕ੍ਰ ਕੋ ਚਤੁਰ ਚਿਤ ਮੈ ਜਾਨ ॥੬੦॥

naam sudarasan chakr ko chatur chit mai jaan |60|

Uttering firstly the word “Narakasura” and then the word “Ripu” is pronounced, O wise people! the names of Sudrashan Chakra are comprehended.60.

ਦੈਤ ਬਕਤ੍ਰ ਕੋ ਨਾਮ ਕਹਿ ਸੂਦਨ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਉਚਾਰ ॥

dait bakatr ko naam keh soodan bahur uchaar |

Say the name of Dait Baktra' (a giant) and then pronounce the word 'Sudan' (killer).

ਨਾਮ ਸੁਦਰਸਨ ਚਕ੍ਰ ਕੋ ਜਾਨ ਚਿਤ ਨਿਰਧਾਰ ॥੬੧॥

naam sudarasan chakr ko jaan chit niradhaar |61|

Utteigng the name of eh demon Bakartra and then speaking the word “Shoodan”, the names of Sudarshan Chakra are spoken.61.

ਪ੍ਰਿਥਮ ਚੰਦੇਰੀ ਨਾਥ ਕੋ ਲੀਜੈ ਨਾਮ ਬਨਾਇ ॥

pritham chanderee naath ko leejai naam banaae |

First take the name of 'Chanderi Nath' (Shisupal).

ਪੁਨਿ ਰਿਪੁ ਸਬਦ ਉਚਾਰੀਐ ਚਕ੍ਰ ਨਾਮ ਹੁਇ ਜਾਇ ॥੬੨॥

pun rip sabad uchaareeai chakr naam hue jaae |62|

Naming Chanderinath Shishupal in the beginning and then speaking the word “Ripu”, the names of Sudarshan Chakra are formed.62.

ਨਰਕਾਸੁਰ ਕੋ ਨਾਮ ਕਹਿ ਮਰਦਨ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਉਚਾਰ ॥

narakaasur ko naam keh maradan bahur uchaar |

Say the name of Naraksur' (a giant) and then pronounce 'mardan' (maslanwala) (word).

ਨਾਮ ਸੁਦਰਸਨ ਚਕ੍ਰ ਕੋ ਲੀਜਹੁ ਸੁਕਬਿ ਸੁ ਧਾਰ ॥੬੩॥

naam sudarasan chakr ko leejahu sukab su dhaar |63|

Uttering “Narakasura” firstly and then saying the words “Anuj” and Aayudh”, many names of Sudarshan Chakra continue to be evolved.63.

ਕਿਸਨ ਬਿਸਨ ਕਹਿ ਜਿਸਨੁ ਅਨੁਜ ਆਯੁਧ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਉਚਾਰ ॥

kisan bisan keh jisan anuj aayudh bahur uchaar |

(First) chant (the name of) Krishna, Vishnu and Vamana (jisnu anuj) and then Ayudha (weapon),

ਨਾਮ ਸੁਦਰਸਨ ਚਕ੍ਰ ਕੇ ਨਿਕਸਤ ਚਲਹਿ ਅਪਾਰ ॥੬੪॥

naam sudarasan chakr ke nikasat chaleh apaar |64|

Uttering the word "Krishan, Vishnu" and then saying the words "Anuj" and Aayudh", many names of Sudarshan Chakra continue to be evolved.64.

ਬਜ੍ਰ ਅਨੁਜ ਪ੍ਰਿਥਮੈ ਉਚਰ ਫਿਰਿ ਪਦ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਬਖਾਨ ॥

bajr anuj prithamai uchar fir pad sasatr bakhaan |

First chant 'Bajra Anuj' (Indra's younger brother, Vamana) and then recite the word 'Shastra'.

ਨਾਮ ਸੁਦਰਸਨ ਚਕ੍ਰ ਕੇ ਚਤੁਰ ਚਿਤ ਮੈ ਜਾਨ ॥੬੫॥

naam sudarasan chakr ke chatur chit mai jaan |65|

Speaking the words “Vajra and Anuj” in the beginning and then adding the word “Shastar”, in the names of Sudarshan Chakra are known.65.

ਪ੍ਰਿਥਮ ਬਿਰਹ ਪਦ ਉਚਰਿ ਕੈ ਪੁਨਿ ਕਹੁ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਬਿਸੇਖ ॥

pritham birah pad uchar kai pun kahu sasatr bisekh |

First recite the verse 'Birha' (Krishna wearing the peacock tail crown), then say the special weapon (word).

ਨਾਮ ਸੁਦਰਸਨ ਚਕ੍ਰ ਕੇ ਨਿਕਸਤ ਚਲੈ ਅਸੇਖ ॥੬੬॥

naam sudarasan chakr ke nikasat chalai asekh |66|

Uttering the word “Virah” in the beginning and then speaking many names of Sudarshan CHakra continue to be formed.66.

ਪ੍ਰਿਥਮੈ ਵਹੈ ਉਚਾਰੀਐ ਰਿਧ ਸਿਧ ਕੋ ਧਾਮ ॥

prithamai vahai uchaareeai ridh sidh ko dhaam |

First chant the name of him (Vishnu) who is the house of Ridhisi daughter.

ਪੁਨਿ ਪਦ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਬਖਾਨੀਐ ਜਾਨੁ ਚਕ੍ਰ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ॥੬੭॥

pun pad sasatr bakhaaneeai jaan chakr ke naam |67|

Uttering firstly the name of Ishwara, the treasure of all powers and then adding the word “Shastar”, the names of Chakra continue to be formed.67.

ਗਿਰਧਰ ਪ੍ਰਿਥਮ ਉਚਾਰਿ ਪਦ ਆਯੁਧ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਉਚਾਰਿ ॥

giradhar pritham uchaar pad aayudh bahur uchaar |

First chant the word 'Girdhar' (the bearer of Mount Gavardhana, Krishna) and then chant the word 'Ayudha' (weapon).

ਨਾਮ ਸੁਦਰਸਨ ਚਕ੍ਰ ਕੇ ਨਿਕਸਤ ਚਲੈ ਅਪਾਰ ॥੬੮॥

naam sudarasan chakr ke nikasat chalai apaar |68|

Uttering the word “Girdhar” in the beginning and then speaking the word “Aayudh”, many names of Sudarshan Chakra continue to be evolved.68.

ਕਾਲੀ ਨਥੀਆ ਪ੍ਰਿਥਮ ਕਹਿ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਸਬਦ ਕਹੁ ਅੰਤਿ ॥

kaalee natheea pritham keh sasatr sabad kahu ant |

First say the word 'Kali Nathiya' (Krishna, the slayer of the black serpent) and finally say the word 'Shastra'.

ਨਾਮ ਸੁਦਰਸਨ ਚਕ੍ਰ ਕੇ ਨਿਕਸਤ ਜਾਹਿ ਅਨੰਤ ॥੬੯॥

naam sudarasan chakr ke nikasat jaeh anant |69|

Speaking the word “Kalinath” in the beginning and then adding the word “Shastar” at the end, innumerable names of Sudarshan Chakra continue to be formed.69.

ਕੰਸ ਕੇਸਿਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਥਮ ਕਹਿ ਫਿਰਿ ਕਹਿ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਬਿਚਾਰਿ ॥

kans kesihaa pratham keh fir keh sasatr bichaar |

Say Kansa Kesiha' (the slayer of Kansa and Kesi, Krishna) first and then utter the 'shastra' (word).

ਨਾਮ ਸੁਦਰਸਨ ਚਕ੍ਰ ਕੇ ਲੀਜਹੁ ਸੁਕਬਿ ਸੁ ਧਾਰ ॥੭੦॥

naam sudarasan chakr ke leejahu sukab su dhaar |70|

Uttering firstly the name of the killer of Kansa-Keshi i.e. Krishna and then reflecting on the names of weapons, the poets pronounce the names of Sudarshan Chakra.70.

ਬਕੀ ਬਕਾਸੁਰ ਸਬਦ ਕਹਿ ਫੁਨਿ ਬਚ ਸਤ੍ਰੁ ਉਚਾਰ ॥

bakee bakaasur sabad keh fun bach satru uchaar |

Say the word Baki' (a giant) and 'Bakasur' (a giant) (first) and then pronounce the word 'Satru' (enemy).

ਨਾਮ ਸੁਦਰਸਨ ਚਕ੍ਰ ਕੇ ਨਿਕਸਤ ਚਲੈ ਅਪਾਰ ॥੭੧॥

naam sudarasan chakr ke nikasat chalai apaar |71|

Saying the worlds “Bakasura and Baki” and then uttering the word “Shatru”, the names of Sudarshan Chakra continue to be formed.71.

ਅਘ ਨਾਸਨ ਅਘਹਾ ਉਚਰਿ ਪੁਨਿ ਬਚ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਬਖਾਨ ॥

agh naasan aghahaa uchar pun bach sasatr bakhaan |

(First) recite 'Agh Naasan' (Slayer of the Agh Demon) and 'Agh Ha' (word) and then recite the verse 'Shastra'.

ਨਾਮ ਸੁਦਰਸਨ ਚਕ੍ਰ ਕੇ ਸਭੈ ਚਤੁਰ ਚਿਤਿ ਜਾਨ ॥੭੨॥

naam sudarasan chakr ke sabhai chatur chit jaan |72|

Uttering the name of the Lord, the destroyer of sins, and then describing the weapons, the wise people know the names of Sudarshan Chakra.72.

ਸ੍ਰੀ ਉਪੇਾਂਦ੍ਰ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਕਹਿ ਫੁਨਿ ਪਦ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਬਖਾਨ ॥

sree upeaandr ke naam keh fun pad sasatr bakhaan |

(First) say the name of 'Sri Upendra' (Vaman Avatar) and then recite the word 'Shastra'.

ਨਾਮ ਸੁਦਰਸਨ ਚਕ੍ਰ ਕੇ ਸਬੈ ਸਮਝ ਸੁਰ ਗਿਆਨ ॥੭੩॥

naam sudarasan chakr ke sabai samajh sur giaan |73|

Speaking various names of “Upendra” and then adding eh word “Shastar”, the learned people comprehend all the names of Sudarshan Chakra.73.

ਕਬਿਯੋ ਬਾਚ ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥

kabiyo baach doharaa |

ਸਬੈ ਸੁਭਟ ਅਉ ਸਭ ਸੁਕਬਿ ਯੌ ਸਮਝੋ ਮਨ ਮਾਹਿ ॥

sabai subhatt aau sabh sukab yau samajho man maeh |

O all heroes and all great poets! Think like this in your mind

ਬਿਸਨੁ ਚਕ੍ਰ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਮੈ ਭੇਦ ਕਉਨਹੂੰ ਨਾਹਿ ॥੭੪॥

bisan chakr ke naam mai bhed kaunahoon naeh |74|

All the warriors and poets should understand this fact nicely that there is not even the slightest difference between Vishnu and the names of his Chakra.74.
