ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਪ੍ਰਤਿ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਅਦੇਸੁ ਸੁ ਨਾਦ ਬਜਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
nrip prat kahiyo ades su naad bajaae kai |(He) sounded the horn and gave the 'order' to the king.
ਰਾਨੀ ਦਈ ਜਿਵਾਇ ਸਰੂਪ ਅਨੇਕ ਧਰਿ ॥
raanee dee jivaae saroop anek dhar |(Gorakhnath) brought the queen to life by assuming many forms.
ਹੋ ਸੁਨਹੋ ਭਰਥਰਿ ਰਾਵ ਲੇਹੁ ਗਹਿ ਏਕ ਕਰੁ ॥੧੫॥
ho sunaho bharathar raav lehu geh ek kar |15|O Bharthari king! Listen, (of these) take a hold with your hand. 15.

ਕਾਹ ਗਹੌ ਕੌਨੇ ਤਜੌ ਚਿਤ ਮੈ ਕਰੈ ਬਿਬੇਕ ॥
kaah gahau kauane tajau chit mai karai bibek |Whom to hold and whom to let go, (I) am thinking in my mind.
ਸਭੈ ਪਿੰਗੁਲਾ ਕੀ ਪ੍ਰਭਾ ਰਾਨੀ ਭਈ ਅਨੇਕ ॥੧੬॥
sabhai pingulaa kee prabhaa raanee bhee anek |16|All of them have become many queens like the beauty of Pingula. 16.
ਅੜਿਲ ॥
arril |adamant:
ਯੌ ਕਹਿ ਗੋਰਖ ਨਾਥ ਤਹਾ ਤੇ ਜਾਤ ਭਯੋ ॥
yau keh gorakh naath tahaa te jaat bhayo |Saying this, Gorakh Nath left from there.
ਭਾਨ ਮਤੀ ਕੋ ਚਿਤ ਚੰਡਾਰ ਇਕ ਹਰ ਲਿਯੋ ॥
bhaan matee ko chit chanddaar ik har liyo |(Here) Bhan Mati's chit was taken by a Chandal.
ਤਾ ਦਿਨ ਤੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਕੌ ਦਿਯੋ ਭੁਲਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
taa din te raajaa kau diyo bhulaae kai |From that day (the queen) forgot the king.
ਹੋ ਰਾਨੀ ਨੀਚ ਕੇ ਰੂਪ ਰਹੀ ਉਰਝਾਇ ਕੈ ॥੧੭॥
ho raanee neech ke roop rahee urajhaae kai |17|The queen (she) was confused as a lowly person. 17.
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥
doharaa |dual:
ਦੂਤਮਤੀ ਦਾਸੀ ਹੁਤੀ ਤਬ ਹੀ ਲਈ ਬੁਲਾਇ ॥
dootamatee daasee hutee tab hee lee bulaae |(He) had a maidservant named Dhootmati. Called (him) at once.
ਪਠੈ ਦੇਤ ਭੀ ਨੀਚ ਸੌ ਪਰਮ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਉਪਜਾਇ ॥੧੮॥
patthai det bhee neech sau param preet upajaae |18|Having developed a lot of love for that lowly man, he sent (to call) him. 18.
ਚੌਪਈ ॥

ਜਬ ਦੂਤੀ ਤਹ ਤੇ ਫਿਰਿ ਆਈ ॥
jab dootee tah te fir aaee |When the messenger came back from there,
ਯੌ ਪੂਛੌ ਰਾਨੀ ਤਿਹ ਜਾਈ ॥
yau poochhau raanee tih jaaee |So the queen went and asked him,
ਕਹੁ ਅਲਿ ਮੀਤ ਕਬੈ ਹ੍ਯਾਂ ਐ ਹੈ ॥
kahu al meet kabai hayaan aai hai |O Sakhi! Ten, when will (my) friend come here
ਹਮਰੇ ਚਿਤ ਕੋ ਤਾਪ ਮਿਟੈ ਹੈ ॥੧੯॥
hamare chit ko taap mittai hai |19|And the heat of my mind will disappear. 19.
ਅੜਿਲ ॥
arril |adamant:
ਕਹੁ ਨ ਸਹਚਰੀ ਸਾਚੁ ਸਜਨੁ ਕਬ ਆਇ ਹੈ ॥
kahu na sahacharee saach sajan kab aae hai |O Sakhi! Tell me the truth, when will the gentleman come?
ਜੋਰ ਨੈਨ ਸੌ ਨੈਨ ਕਬੈ ਮੁਸਕਾਇ ਹੈ ॥
jor nain sau nain kabai musakaae hai |(My) Nain will smile when mixed with Nain.
ਲਪਟਿ ਲਪਟਿ ਕਰਿ ਜਾਉ ਲਲਾ ਸੌ ਤੌਨ ਛਿਨ ॥
lapatt lapatt kar jaau lalaa sau tauan chhin |At that time I will go to Lipt Lipt (Ke Anandit Ho) with Pritam.
ਹੋ ਕਹੋ ਸਖੀ ਮੁਹਿ ਮੀਤ ਕਬੈਹੈ ਕਵਨ ਦਿਨ ॥੨੦॥
ho kaho sakhee muhi meet kabaihai kavan din |20|O Sakhi! Ten, when will my friend come and on which day. 20.
ਬਾਰ ਬਾਰ ਗਜ ਮੁਤਿਯਨ ਗੁਹੌ ਬਨਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
baar baar gaj mutiyan guhau banaae kai |(I) will carefully weave pearls (imaginary pearls from the head of an elephant) in my hair.
ਅਪਨੇ ਲਲਾ ਕੋ ਛਿਨ ਮੈ ਲੇਉ ਰਿਝਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
apane lalaa ko chhin mai leo rijhaae kai |(I) will take my beloved in a pinch.
ਟੂਕ ਟੂਕ ਤਨ ਹੋਇ ਨ ਮੇਰੋ ਨੈਕ ਮਨ ॥
ttook ttook tan hoe na mero naik man |Even if my body is broken, I will not change my mind.
ਹੋ ਕਾਸੀ ਕਰਵਤ ਲਿਯੋ ਪ੍ਰਿਯਾ ਕੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਤਨ ॥੨੧॥
ho kaasee karavat liyo priyaa kee preet tan |21|For the love of my beloved, I will bear Kashi's kalvatra on my body. 21.
ਬਿਹਸਿ ਬਿਹਸਿ ਕਬ ਗਰੇ ਹਮਾਰੇ ਲਾਗਿ ਹੈ ॥
bihas bihas kab gare hamaare laag hai |Sakhi! When will he hug my neck with laughter?
ਤਬ ਹੀ ਸਭ ਹੀ ਸੋਕ ਹਮਾਰੇ ਭਾਗਿ ਹੈ ॥
tab hee sabh hee sok hamaare bhaag hai |Only then will all my sorrows be removed.
ਚਟਕ ਚਟਕ ਦੈ ਬਾਤੈ ਮਟਕਿ ਬਤਾਇ ਹੈ ॥
chattak chattak dai baatai mattak bataae hai |(With me when he) will chatter and chatter and chatter.
ਹੋ ਤਾ ਦਿਨ ਸਖੀ ਸਹਿਤ ਹਮ ਬਲਿ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਇ ਹੈ ॥੨੨॥
ho taa din sakhee sahit ham bal bal jaae hai |22|On that day I will go from him to Balihar to Balihar. 22.
ਜੌ ਐਸੇ ਝਰਿ ਮਿਲੈ ਸਜਨ ਸਖਿ ਆਇ ਕੈ ॥
jau aaise jhar milai sajan sakh aae kai |O Sakhi! (When I) will have to tap to meet Sajan like this
ਮੋ ਮਨ ਕੌ ਲੈ ਤਬ ਹੀ ਜਾਇ ਚੁਰਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
mo man kau lai tab hee jaae churaae kai |He will steal my heart away.
ਭਾਤਿ ਭਾਤਿ ਰਤਿ ਕਰੌ ਨ ਛੋਰੋ ਏਕ ਛਿਨ ॥
bhaat bhaat rat karau na chhoro ek chhin |(I) will play with him in every way and will not spare even a single lick.
ਹੋ ਬੀਤੈ ਮਾਸ ਪਚਾਸਨ ਜਾਨੌ ਏਕ ਦਿਨ ॥੨੩॥
ho beetai maas pachaasan jaanau ek din |23|After fifty months, I will consider one day as passed. 23.
ਮਚਕਿ ਮਚਕਿ ਕਬ ਕਹਿ ਹੈ ਬਚਨ ਬਨਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
machak machak kab keh hai bachan banaae kai |(He will tell me) when he will recite the words
ਲਚਕਿ ਲਚਕਿ ਉਰ ਸਾਥ ਚਿਮਟਿ ਹੈ ਆਇ ਕੈ ॥
lachak lachak ur saath chimatt hai aae kai |And the flexible one will come and pinch my heart.
ਲਪਟਿ ਲਪਟਿ ਮੈ ਜਾਉ ਪ੍ਰਿਯ ਕੈ ਅੰਗ ਤਨ ॥
lapatt lapatt mai jaau priy kai ang tan |I will also cling to the body of my beloved.
ਹੋ ਮੇਲ ਮੇਲ ਕਰਿ ਰਾਖੋ ਭੀਤਰ ਤਾਹਿ ਮਨ ॥੨੪॥
ho mel mel kar raakho bheetar taeh man |24|(I will keep my) mind united in him. 24.
ਸਵੈਯਾ ॥
savaiyaa |Self:
ਖੰਜਨ ਹੂੰ ਨ ਬਦ੍ਯੋ ਕਛੁ ਕੈ ਕਰਿ ਕੰਜੁ ਕੁਰੰਗ ਕਹਾ ਕਰਿ ਡਾਰੇ ॥
khanjan hoon na badayo kachh kai kar kanj kurang kahaa kar ddaare |(I now) do not consider even the tender bird, the lotus and the deer as anything from nowhere.
ਚਾਰੁ ਚਕੋਰ ਨ ਆਨੇ ਹ੍ਰਿਦੈ ਪਰ ਝੁੰਡ ਝਖੀਨਹੁ ਕੋ ਝਝਕਾਰੇ ॥
chaar chakor na aane hridai par jhundd jhakheenahu ko jhajhakaare |(Now) I do not bring the beautiful Chakor to heart and even the flocks of fishes have rebuked (i.e. have not accepted the goods).
ਮੈਨ ਰਹਿਯੋ ਮੁਰਛਾਇ ਪ੍ਰਭਾ ਲਖਿ ਸਾਰਸ ਭੇ ਸਭ ਦਾਸ ਬਿਚਾਰੇ ॥
main rahiyo murachhaae prabhaa lakh saaras bhe sabh daas bichaare |On seeing (His) light Kama Dev has become unconscious and all the Saras have become slaves.
ਅੰਤਕ ਸੋਚਨ ਧੀਰਜ ਮੋਚਨ ਲਾਲਚੀ ਲੋਚਨ ਲਾਲ ਤਿਹਾਰੇ ॥੨੫॥
antak sochan dheeraj mochan laalachee lochan laal tihaare |25|Hey Red! Your greedy eyes are the destroyer of anxiety and the destroyer of patience. 25.
ਅੜਿਲ ॥
arril |adamant:
ਸੁਨਤ ਸਹਚਰੀ ਬਚਨ ਤਹਾ ਤੇ ਤਹ ਗਈ ॥
sunat sahacharee bachan tahaa te tah gee |Sakhi heard the words and went to that place from there.
