ਭੇਖ ਧਰੇ ਲੂਟਤ ਸੰਸਾਰਾ ॥
bhekh dhare loottat sansaaraa |

They are all plundering the world in different guises

ਛਪਤ ਸਾਧੁ ਜਿਹ ਨਾਮੁ ਆਧਾਰਾ ॥੨੩॥
chhapat saadh jih naam aadhaaraa |23|

The real saints whose prop is the Name of the Lord, they hide themselved.23.

ਪੇਟ ਹੇਤੁ ਨਰ ਡਿੰਭੁ ਦਿਖਾਹੀ ॥
pett het nar ddinbh dikhaahee |

The people of he world, exhibit here in order to fill their bellies,

ਡਿੰਭ ਕਰੇ ਬਿਨੁ ਪਈਯਤ ਨਾਹੀ ॥
ddinbh kare bin peeyat naahee |

Because without heresy, they do not gain money

ਜਿਨ ਨਰ ਏਕ ਪੁਰਖ ਕਹ ਧਿਆਯੋ ॥
jin nar ek purakh kah dhiaayo |

The person, who hath meditated only on the Supreme Purusha,

ਤਿਨ ਕਰਿ ਡਿੰਭ ਨ ਕਿਸੀ ਦਿਖਾਯੋ ॥੨੪॥
tin kar ddinbh na kisee dikhaayo |24|

He hath never exhibited an act of heresy to anyone.24.

ਡਿੰਭ ਕਰੇ ਬਿਨੁ ਹਾਥਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ॥
ddinbh kare bin haath na aavai |

One’s interest remain unfulfilled without heresy

ਕੋਊ ਨ ਕਾਹੂੰ ਸੀਸ ਨਿਵਾਵੈ ॥
koaoo na kaahoon sees nivaavai |

And none bows down his head before anyone without interest

ਜੋ ਇਹੁ ਪੇਟ ਨ ਕਾਹੂੰ ਹੋਤਾ ॥
jo ihu pett na kaahoon hotaa |

If the belly been not attached with anyone,

ਰਾਵ ਰੰਕ ਕਾਹੂੰ ਕੋ ਕਹਤਾ ॥੨੫॥
raav rank kaahoon ko kahataa |25|

Then there would have not been any king or pauper in this world.25.

ਜਿਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਏਕ ਵਹੈ ਠਹਰਾਯੋ ॥
jin prabh ek vahai tthaharaayo |

Those who have recognized only God as the Lord of all,

ਤਿਨ ਕਰ ਡਿੰਭ ਨ ਕਿਸੂ ਦਿਖਾਯੋ ॥
tin kar ddinbh na kisoo dikhaayo |

They have never exhibited any heresy to anyone

ਸੀਸ ਦੀਯੋ ਉਨ ਸਿਰਰ ਨ ਦੀਨਾ ॥
sees deeyo un sirar na deenaa |

Such a person gets his head chopped off but never his creed

ਰੰਚ ਸਮਾਨ ਦੇਹ ਕਰਿ ਚੀਨਾ ॥੨੬॥
ranch samaan deh kar cheenaa |26|

And such person considers his body equivalent only to a particle of dust.26.

ਕਾਨ ਛੇਦ ਜੋਗੀ ਕਹਵਾਯੋ ॥
kaan chhed jogee kahavaayo |

One is called a Yogi on perforating his ears

ਅਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਪੰਚ ਕਰ ਬਨਹਿ ਸਿਧਾਯੋ ॥
at prapanch kar baneh sidhaayo |

And goes to the forest, performing many deceitful acts

ਏਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਕੋ ਤਤੁ ਨ ਲਯੋ ॥
ek naam ko tat na layo |

But the person who hath not absorbed the essence of the Name in his heart,

ਬਨ ਕੋ ਭਯੋ ਨ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਕੋ ਭਯੋ ॥੨੭॥
ban ko bhayo na grih ko bhayo |27|

He neither belongs to the forest nor his home.27.

ਕਹਾ ਲਗੈ ਕਬਿ ਕਥੈ ਬਿਚਾਰਾ ॥
kahaa lagai kab kathai bichaaraa |

Upto what extent this poor can describe?

ਰਸਨਾ ਏਕ ਨ ਪਇਯਤ ਪਾਰਾ ॥
rasanaa ek na peiyat paaraa |

Because one person cannot know the mystery of the Infinite Lord

ਜਿਹਬਾ ਕੋਟਿ ਕੋਟਿ ਕੋਊ ਧਰੈ ॥
jihabaa kott kott koaoo dharai |

Undoubtedly, if one may have millions of tongues,

ਗੁਣ ਸਮੁੰਦ੍ਰ ਤ੍ਵ ਪਾਰ ਨ ਪਰੈ ॥੨੮॥
gun samundr tv paar na parai |28|

Even then the ocean of Thy Attributes cannot be fathomed.28.

ਪ੍ਰਥਮ ਕਾਲ ਸਭ ਜਗ ਕੋ ਤਾਤਾ ॥
pratham kaal sabh jag ko taataa |

First of all the Lord as KAL is the primal farther of the whole universe

ਤਾ ਤੇ ਭਯੋ ਤੇਜ ਬਿਖ੍ਯਾਤਾ ॥
taa te bhayo tej bikhayaataa |

And from him emanated the Powerful Lustre

ਸੋਈ ਭਵਾਨੀ ਨਾਮੁ ਕਹਾਈ ॥
soee bhavaanee naam kahaaee |

The same Lord was considered as Bhavani,

ਜਿਨਿ ਸਿਗਰੀ ਯਹ ਸ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਉਪਾਈ ॥੨੯॥
jin sigaree yah srisatt upaaee |29|

Who created the whole world.29.

ਪ੍ਰਿਥਮੇ ਓਅੰਕਾਰ ਤਿਨਿ ਕਹਾ ॥
prithame oankaar tin kahaa |

First of all, He uttered ‘Oankar’:

ਸੋ ਧੁਨਿ ਪੂਰ ਜਗਤ ਮੋ ਰਹਾ ॥
so dhun poor jagat mo rahaa |

And the sound of “Onkar’ Pervanded the whole world,

ਤਾ ਤੇ ਜਗਤ ਭਯੋ ਬਿਸਥਾਰਾ ॥
taa te jagat bhayo bisathaaraa |

There was expansion of the whole world,

ਪੁਰਖੁ ਪ੍ਰਕ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਜਬ ਦੁਹੂ ਬਿਚਾਰਾ ॥੩੦॥
purakh prakrit jab duhoo bichaaraa |30|

From the union of Purusha and Prakriti.30.

ਜਗਤ ਭਯੋ ਤਾ ਤੇ ਸਭ ਜਨੀਯਤ ॥
jagat bhayo taa te sabh janeeyat |

The world was created and from that time, everyone knows it as world

ਚਾਰ ਖਾਨਿ ਕਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਬਖਨੀਯਤ ॥
chaar khaan kar pragatt bakhaneeyat |

Four divisions of creation became manifest and as such they were described

ਸਕਤਿ ਇਤੀ ਨਹੀ ਬਰਨ ਸੁਨਾਊ ॥
sakat itee nahee baran sunaaoo |

I have no power to give their description,

ਭਿੰਨ ਭਿੰਨ ਕਰਿ ਨਾਮ ਬਤਾਉ ॥੩੧॥
bhin bhin kar naam bataau |31|

And tell their names separately.31.

ਬਲੀ ਅਬਲੀ ਦੋਊ ਉਪਜਾਏ ॥
balee abalee doaoo upajaae |

That Lord created both the powerful and the weak

ਊਚ ਨੀਚ ਕਰਿ ਭਿੰਨ ਦਿਖਾਏ ॥
aooch neech kar bhin dikhaae |

They were shown distinctly as high and low

ਬਪੁ ਧਰਿ ਕਾਲ ਬਲੀ ਬਲਵਾਨਾ ॥
bap dhar kaal balee balavaanaa |

The powerful KAL, adopting the physical form,

ਆਪਹਿ ਰੂਪ ਧਰਤ ਭਯੋ ਨਾਨਾ ॥੩੨॥
aapeh roop dharat bhayo naanaa |32|

Manifested Himself in numerous forms.32.

ਭਿੰਨ ਭਿੰਨ ਜਿਮੁ ਦੇਹ ਧਰਾਏ ॥
bhin bhin jim deh dharaae |

According as the Lord adopted different forms,

ਤਿਮੁ ਤਿਮੁ ਕਰ ਅਵਤਾਰ ਕਹਾਏ ॥
tim tim kar avataar kahaae |

In the same manner, he became renowned as different incarnations

ਪਰਮ ਰੂਪ ਜੋ ਏਕ ਕਹਾਯੋ ॥
param roop jo ek kahaayo |

But whatever is the Supreme form of the Lord

ਅੰਤਿ ਸਭੋ ਤਿਹ ਮਧਿ ਮਿਲਾਯੋ ॥੩੩॥
ant sabho tih madh milaayo |33|

Ultimately all merged in Him.33.

ਜਿਤਿਕ ਜਗਤਿ ਕੈ ਜੀਵ ਬਖਾਨੋ ॥
jitik jagat kai jeev bakhaano |

Consider all the beings in the world,

ਏਕ ਜੋਤਿ ਸਭ ਹੀ ਮਹਿ ਜਾਨੋ ॥
ek jot sabh hee meh jaano |

Ad the illumination of the same Light,

ਕਾਲ ਰੂਪ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਭਨੈਬੋ ॥
kaal roop bhagavaan bhanaibo |

The Lord, Who is known as KAL

ਤਾ ਮਹਿ ਲੀਨ ਜਗਤਿ ਸਭ ਹ੍ਵੈਬੋ ॥੩੪॥
taa meh leen jagat sabh hvaibo |34|

All the world will merge in Him.34.

ਜੋ ਕਿਛੁ ਦਿਸਟਿ ਅਗੋਚਰ ਆਵਤ ॥
jo kichh disatt agochar aavat |

Whatever appears inconceivable to us,

ਤਾ ਕਹੁ ਮਨ ਮਾਯਾ ਠਹਰਾਵਤ ॥
taa kahu man maayaa tthaharaavat |

The mind gives it the name of Maya
