ਜਿਹ ਸਮ ਸੁਰ ਪੁਰ ਨਾਰਿ ਨ ਲਹਿਯਤ ॥੧॥
jih sam sur pur naar na lahiyat |1|A woman like whom was not found even in heaven. 1.
ਸਹਰ ਸੁਰੇਸ੍ਵਾਵਤੀ ਬਿਰਾਜੈ ॥
sahar suresvaavatee biraajai |There was a city called Suresavati,
ਜਾ ਕੌ ਨਿਰਖਿ ਇੰਦ੍ਰ ਪੁਰ ਲਾਜੈ ॥
jaa kau nirakh indr pur laajai |Whose (seeing the beauty) even Indra Puri used to blush.
ਬਲਵੰਡ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਾਹ ਇਕ ਸੁਨਿਯਤ ॥
balavandd singh saah ik suniyat |A king named Balwand Singh used to listen
ਜਿਹ ਸਮਾਨ ਜਗ ਔਰ ਨ ਗੁਨਿਯਤ ॥੨॥
jih samaan jag aauar na guniyat |2|Like whom no one else in the world was counted. 2.
ਸਦਾ ਕੁਅਰਿ ਤਿਹ ਸੁਤਾ ਭਨਿਜੈ ॥
sadaa kuar tih sutaa bhanijai |His daughter named Sada Kumari was said to be
ਚੰਦ੍ਰ ਸੂਰ ਲਖਿ ਜਾਹਿ ਅਰੁਝੈ ॥
chandr soor lakh jaeh arujhai |Seeing which even the sun and the moon used to get confused.
ਅਪ੍ਰਮਾਨ ਦੁਤਿ ਜਾਤ ਨ ਕਹੀ ॥
apramaan dut jaat na kahee |Her boundless beauty cannot be described.
ਜਾਨੁਕ ਫੂਲਿ ਚੰਬੇਲੀ ਰਹੀ ॥੩॥
jaanuk fool chanbelee rahee |3|(It looked like this) as if it were a flower of chambeli. 3.
ਸਦਾ ਕੁਅਰਿ ਨਿਰਖਾ ਜਬ ਰਾਜਾ ॥
sadaa kuar nirakhaa jab raajaa |When Sada Kumari saw the king,
ਤਬ ਹੀ ਸੀਲ ਤਵਨ ਕਾ ਭਾਜਾ ॥
tab hee seel tavan kaa bhaajaa |Only then did his sheel (restraint) end.
ਸਖੀ ਏਕ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਤੀਰ ਪਠਾਈ ॥
sakhee ek nrip teer patthaaee |He sent a maidservant to the king
ਯੌ ਰਾਜਾ ਤਨ ਕਹੁ ਤੈ ਜਾਈ ॥੪॥
yau raajaa tan kahu tai jaaee |4|(And explained to him that) go to the king and say like this. 4.
ਮੈ ਤਵ ਰੂਪ ਨਿਰਖਿ ਉਰਝਾਨੀ ॥
mai tav roop nirakh urajhaanee |I have become fascinated by seeing your form
ਮਦਨ ਤਾਪ ਤੇ ਭਈ ਦਿਵਾਨੀ ॥
madan taap te bhee divaanee |And I have gone crazy with the heat of lust.
ਏਕ ਬਾਰ ਤੁਮ ਮੁਝੈ ਬੁਲਾਵੋ ॥
ek baar tum mujhai bulaavo |Once you call me (to you).
ਕਾਮ ਤਪਤ ਕਰਿ ਕੇਲ ਮਿਟਾਵੋ ॥੫॥
kaam tapat kar kel mittaavo |5|And remove the heat of lust by doing Rati-Kreeda. 5.
ਜੌ ਆਪਨ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਮੁਹਿ ਨ ਬੁਲਾਵਹੁ ॥
jau aapan grih muhi na bulaavahu |(J) Do not call at home
ਏਕ ਬਾਰ ਮੋਰੇ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਆਵਹੁ ॥
ek baar more grih aavahu |So come to my house once.
ਮੋ ਸੰਗ ਕਰਿਯੈ ਮੈਨ ਬਿਲਾਸਾ ॥
mo sang kariyai main bilaasaa |Indulge with me.
ਹਮ ਕਹ ਤੋਰਿ ਮਿਲਨ ਕੀ ਆਸਾ ॥੬॥
ham kah tor milan kee aasaa |6|I only hope to meet you. 6.
ਭੂਪ ਕੁਅਰਿ ਵਹੁ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਨ ਬੁਲਾਈ ॥
bhoop kuar vahu grih na bulaaee |The king did not invite the Kumari to (his) house
ਆਪੁ ਜਾਇ ਤਿਹ ਸੇਜ ਸੁਹਾਈ ॥
aap jaae tih sej suhaaee |And went and beautified his sage.
ਦੀਪ ਦਾਨ ਤਰੁਨੀ ਤਿਨ ਕੀਨਾ ॥
deep daan tarunee tin keenaa |The woman lit the king's lamp
ਅਰਘ ਧੂਪ ਰਾਜਾ ਕਹ ਦੀਨਾ ॥੭॥
aragh dhoop raajaa kah deenaa |7|And welcomed by offering incense and arg.7.
ਸੁਭਰ ਸੇਜ ਊਪਰ ਬੈਠਾਯੋ ॥
subhar sej aoopar baitthaayo |Seated on a beautiful sedge
ਭਾਗ ਅਫੀਮ ਸਰਾਬ ਮੰਗਾਯੋ ॥
bhaag afeem saraab mangaayo |and asked for hemp, opium and liquor.
ਪ੍ਰਥਮ ਕਹਾ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਸੌ ਇਨ ਪੀਜੈ ॥
pratham kahaa nrip sau in peejai |The king was told to drink them first
ਬਹੁਰਿ ਮੁਝੈ ਮਦਨੰਕੁਸ ਦੀਜੈ ॥੮॥
bahur mujhai madanankus deejai |8|And then give me Madanankush (Purush Indri) 8.
ਸੁਨਤ ਬਚਨ ਇਹ ਭੂਪ ਨ ਮਾਨਾ ॥
sunat bachan ih bhoop na maanaa |Hearing this, the king did not agree
ਜਮ ਕੇ ਡੰਡ ਤ੍ਰਾਸ ਤਰਸਾਨਾ ॥
jam ke ddandd traas tarasaanaa |And panicked with fear of Jam's rod.
ਕਹਿਯੋ ਨ ਮੈ ਤੌਸੌ ਰਤਿ ਕਰਿਹੋ ॥
kahiyo na mai tauasau rat kariho |He said that I will not cooperate with you
ਘੋਰ ਨਰਕ ਮੋ ਭੂਲਿ ਨ ਪਰਿਹੌ ॥੯॥
ghor narak mo bhool na parihau |9|And even if I forget, I will not fall into the terrible hell. 9.
ਤਿਮਿ ਤਿਮਿ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਅੰਚਰ ਗਰਿ ਡਾਰੈ ॥
tim tim triy anchar gar ddaarai |(Despite the king's refusal) Tiwen Tiwen (the woman) used to put pallu in her throat
ਜੋਰਿ ਜੋਰਿ ਦ੍ਰਿਗ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਹਿ ਨਿਹਾਰੈ ॥
jor jor drig nripeh nihaarai |And she used to look at the king with closed eyes.
ਹਾਇ ਹਾਇ ਮੁਹਿ ਭੂਪਤਿ ਭਜਿਯੈ ॥
haae haae muhi bhoopat bhajiyai |(She used to say) 'Hi Hi' (saying) Hey Rajan! Indulge with me
ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰਿਯਾ ਮੋਰੇ ਸੰਗ ਸਜਿਯੈ ॥੧੦॥
kaam kriyaa more sang sajiyai |10|And create lust with me. 10.
ਨਹਿ ਨਹਿ ਪੁਨਿ ਜਿਮਿ ਜਿਮਿ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਕਰੈ ॥
neh neh pun jim jim nrip karai |As the king kept saying 'no no no',
ਤਿਮਿ ਤਿਮਿ ਚਰਨ ਚੰਚਲਾ ਪਰੈ ॥
tim tim charan chanchalaa parai |Three times the woman used to fall.
ਹਹਾ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਮੁਹਿ ਕਰਹੁ ਬਿਲਾਸਾ ॥
hahaa nripat muhi karahu bilaasaa |(And used to say) Ha ha Rajan! Indulge with me
ਕਾਮ ਭੋਗ ਕੀ ਪੁਰਵਹੁ ਆਸਾ ॥੧੧॥
kaam bhog kee puravahu aasaa |11|And fulfill (my) hope of pleasure. 11.
ਕਹਾ ਕਰੌ ਕਹੁ ਕਹਾ ਪਧਾਰੌ ॥
kahaa karau kahu kahaa padhaarau |Tell me what to do, where to go,
ਆਪ ਮਰੌ ਕੈ ਮੁਝੈ ਸੰਘਾਰੌ ॥
aap marau kai mujhai sanghaarau |Let me die or (you) kill me.
ਹਾਇ ਹਾਇ ਮੁਹਿ ਭੋਗ ਨ ਕਰਈ ॥
haae haae muhi bhog na karee |Hi hi' you ain't kidding me,
ਤਾ ਤੇ ਜੀਅ ਹਮਾਰਾ ਜਰਈ ॥੧੨॥
taa te jeea hamaaraa jaree |12|Because of which my soul is burning. 12.
ਸਵੈਯਾ ॥
savaiyaa |Self:
ਆਸਨ ਔਰ ਅਲਿੰਗਨ ਚੁੰਬਨ ਆਜੁ ਭਲੇ ਤੁਮਰੇ ਕਸਿ ਲੈਹੌ ॥
aasan aauar alingan chunban aaj bhale tumare kas laihau |I will do asanas, hugs and kisses with you today.
ਰੀਝਿ ਹੈਂ ਜੌਨ ਉਪਾਇ ਗੁਮਾਨੀ ਤੈਂ ਤਾਹਿ ਉਪਾਇ ਸੋ ਤੋਹਿ ਰਿਝੈਹੌ ॥
reejh hain jauan upaae gumaanee tain taeh upaae so tohi rijhaihau |By which measure O Gumani Rajan! You will be satisfied, I will satisfy you by doing the same.
