ਪੇਖਤ ਰੀਝਤ ਬੀਰ ਰਸਾਲੀਯ ॥
pekhat reejhat beer rasaaleey |

Seeing the embellishment of these women, many men of taste were getting pleased

ਨਾਚਤ ਭਾਵ ਅਨੇਕ ਤ੍ਰੀਆ ਕਰਿ ॥
naachat bhaav anek treea kar |

Women used to dance with many gestures.

ਦੇਖਤ ਸੋਭਾ ਰੀਝਤ ਸੁਰ ਨਰ ॥੨੬॥
dekhat sobhaa reejhat sur nar |26|

The women were dancing in many emotional postures, seeing which all the gods and men were delighted.26.

ਹਿੰਸਤ ਹੈਵਰ ਚਿੰਸਤ ਹਾਥੀ ॥
hinsat haivar chinsat haathee |

The horses were neighing, the elephants were crying.

ਨਾਚਤ ਨਾਗਰਿ ਗਾਵਤ ਗਾਥੀ ॥
naachat naagar gaavat gaathee |

The horses were neighing

ਰੀਝਤ ਸੁਰ ਨਰ ਮੋਹਤ ਰਾਜਾ ॥
reejhat sur nar mohat raajaa |

(Seeing them) the gods and men were enraptured and the kings were enthralled.

ਦੇਵਤ ਦਾਨ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਸਮਾਜਾ ॥੨੭॥
devat daan turant samaajaa |27|

The elephants were trumpeting and the people of the town were dancing the gods, men and women were all getting pleased and the kings were busy in bestowing charities.27.

ਗਾਵਤ ਗੀਤਨ ਨਾਚਤ ਅਪਛਰਾ ॥
gaavat geetan naachat apachharaa |

Apachharas were singing and dancing.

ਰੀਝਤ ਰਾਜਾ ਖੀਝਤ ਅਛਰਾ ॥
reejhat raajaa kheejhat achharaa |

The heavenly damsels were dancing while singing, seeing whom, the kings got pleased and their queens were also getting angry

ਬਾਜਤ ਨਾਰਦ ਬੀਨ ਰਸਾਲੀ ॥
baajat naarad been rasaalee |

Narada's rasa-bhini bean was playing.

ਦੇਖਤ ਦੇਵ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਸਤ ਜ੍ਵਾਲੀ ॥੨੮॥
dekhat dev prabhaasat jvaalee |28|

The pretty lyre of Narada was being played, seeing which the gods seemed radiant like fire.28.

ਆਂਜਤ ਅੰਜਨ ਸਾਜਤ ਅੰਗਾ ॥
aanjat anjan saajat angaa |

The eyes were covered with silver and the limbs were decorated.

ਸੋਭਤ ਬਸਤ੍ਰ ਸੁ ਅੰਗ ਸੁਰੰਗਾ ॥
sobhat basatr su ang surangaa |

All of them had put antimony in their eyes and had bedecked their limbs, having worn handsome garments

ਨਾਚਤ ਅਛ੍ਰੀ ਰੀਝਤ ਰਾਊ ॥
naachat achhree reejhat raaoo |

Apachharas danced and kings were happy.

ਚਾਹਤ ਬਰਬੋ ਕਰਤ ਉਪਾਊ ॥੨੯॥
chaahat barabo karat upaaoo |29|

The kings were getting pleased and were trying to wed them.29.

ਤਤਥਈ ਨਾਚੈ ਸੁਰ ਪੁਰ ਬਾਲਾ ॥
tatathee naachai sur pur baalaa |

Women were dancing to the tune of Tatthai.

ਰੁਣ ਝੁਣ ਬਾਜੈ ਰੰਗ ਅੰਗ ਮਾਲਾ ॥
run jhun baajai rang ang maalaa |

The women of gods were dancing and the jingling of the rosaries of their limbs was being heard

ਬਨਿ ਬਨਿ ਬੈਠੇ ਜਹ ਤਹ ਰਾਜਾ ॥
ban ban baitthe jah tah raajaa |

Where the kings were sitting

ਦੈ ਦੈ ਡਾਰੈ ਤਨ ਮਨ ਸਾਜਾ ॥੩੦॥
dai dai ddaarai tan man saajaa |30|

The kings were sitting with pomp and show at various places.30.

ਜਿਹ ਜਿਹ ਦੇਖਾ ਸੋ ਸੋ ਰੀਝਾ ॥
jih jih dekhaa so so reejhaa |

Whoever saw (those women) was disgusted

ਜਿਨ ਨਹੀ ਦੇਖਾ ਤਿਹ ਮਨ ਖੀਝਾ ॥
jin nahee dekhaa tih man kheejhaa |

Whosoever saw this, he was pleased and he who did not see this, he got angry in his mind

ਕਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਭਾਯੰ ਤ੍ਰੀਅ ਬਰ ਨਾਚੈ ॥
kar kar bhaayan treea bar naachai |

Beautiful women used to dance by waving.

ਅਤਿਭੁਤਿ ਭਾਯੰ ਅੰਗ ਅੰਗ ਰਾਚੈ ॥੩੧॥
atibhut bhaayan ang ang raachai |31|

The women were dancing, exhibiting various kinds of emotions and there was wonderful emotional play from every limb of theirs.31.

ਤਿਨ ਅਤਿਭੁਤਿ ਗਤਿ ਤਹ ਜਹ ਠਾਨੀ ॥
tin atibhut gat tah jah tthaanee |

Their amazing speed was becoming stable everywhere.

ਜਹ ਤਹ ਸੋਹੈ ਮੁਨਿ ਮਨਿ ਮਾਨੀ ॥
jah tah sohai mun man maanee |

Those women also decided to do something marvelous at that place, because there were sitting there some persistent sages

ਤਜਿ ਤਜਿ ਜੋਗੰ ਭਜਿ ਭਜਿ ਆਵੈ ॥
taj taj jogan bhaj bhaj aavai |

(Eventually the sages) were running (there) leaving Jog.

ਲਖਿ ਅਤਿ ਆਭਾ ਜੀਅ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਵੈ ॥੩੨॥
lakh at aabhaa jeea sukh paavai |32|

The Yogis leaving their meditation came running and seeing the glory of this function, they were pleased.32.

ਬਨਿ ਬਨਿ ਬੈਠੇ ਜਹ ਤਹ ਰਾਜਾ ॥
ban ban baitthe jah tah raajaa |

Where the kings were sitting

ਜਹ ਤਹ ਸੋਭੈ ਸਭ ਸੁਭ ਸਾਜਾ ॥
jah tah sobhai sabh subh saajaa |

Wherever the kings were sitting well-bedecked, the atmosphere of that place seemed extremely splendid

ਜਹ ਤਹ ਦੇਖੈ ਗੁਨਿ ਗਨ ਫੂਲੇ ॥
jah tah dekhai gun gan foole |

Wherever they looked, (they) flourished in all their qualities.

ਮੁਨਿ ਮਨਿ ਛਬਿ ਲਖਿ ਤਨ ਮਨ ਭੂਲੇ ॥੩੩॥
mun man chhab lakh tan man bhoole |33|

The kings were filled with pleasure here and there, accomplished with their qualities and servants and the sages seeing their magnificence, had forgotten the consciousness of their mind and body.33.

ਤਤ ਬਿਤ ਘਨ ਮੁਖਰਸ ਸਬ ਬਾਜੈ ॥
tat bit ghan mukharas sab baajai |

Tat, Bit, Ghan, Mukhras etc. all (words) were played.

ਸੁਨਿ ਮਨ ਰਾਗੰ ਗੁਨਿ ਗਨ ਲਾਜੈ ॥
sun man raagan gun gan laajai |

The stringed musical instruments were being played there and hearing their pleasing musical modes, the experts of musicology were feeling shy

ਜਹ ਤਹ ਗਿਰ ਗੇ ਰਿਝਿ ਰਿਝਿ ਐਸੇ ॥
jah tah gir ge rijh rijh aaise |

Where they fell down like this,

ਜਨੁ ਭਟ ਜੂਝੇ ਰਣ ਬ੍ਰਿਣ ਕੈਸੇ ॥੩੪॥
jan bhatt joojhe ran brin kaise |34|

Hearing the tunes of the musical instruments, the kings fell down here and there like the warriors lying wounded in the battlefield.34.

ਬਨਿ ਬਨਿ ਫੂਲੇ ਜਨੁ ਬਰ ਫੂਲੰ ॥
ban ban foole jan bar foolan |

(The king sitting there) as if there were flowers blooming in a row

ਤਨੁ ਬਰੁ ਸੋਭੇ ਜਨੁ ਧਰ ਮੂਲੰ ॥
tan bar sobhe jan dhar moolan |

They seemed to have blossomed like the flowers of the forest and their bodies were exhibiting the fundamental emotion of the earthly comfort

ਜਹੰ ਤਹੰ ਝੂਲੇ ਮਦ ਮਤ ਰਾਜਾ ॥
jahan tahan jhoole mad mat raajaa |

Where the drunken kings were swaying,

ਜਨੁ ਮੁਰਿ ਬੋਲੈ ਸੁਨ ਘਨ ਗਾਜਾ ॥੩੫॥
jan mur bolai sun ghan gaajaa |35|

The intoxicated kings were swinging here and there like the peacocks getting intoxicated hearing the thundering of clouds.35.

ਪਾਧਰੀ ਛੰਦ ॥
paadharee chhand |

PAADHARI STANZA

ਜਹ ਤਹ ਬਿਲੋਕਿ ਸੋਭਾ ਅਪਾਰ ॥
jah tah bilok sobhaa apaar |

Where immense splendor was seen.

ਬਨਿ ਬੈਠਿ ਸਰਬ ਰਾਜਾਧਿਕਾਰ ॥
ban baitth sarab raajaadhikaar |

Seeing the splendour here and there, the kings sat down

ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਕਹੈ ਨਹੀ ਪਰਤ ਬੈਨ ॥
eih bhaat kahai nahee parat bain |

It cannot be described as such.

ਲਖਿ ਨੈਨ ਰੂਪਿ ਰੀਝੰਤ ਨੈਨ ॥੩੬॥
lakh nain roop reejhant nain |36|

Their glory cannot be described and seeing their figures, the eyes were getting pleased.36.

ਅਵਿਲੋਕਿ ਨਾਚਿ ਐਸੋ ਸੁਰੰਗ ॥
avilok naach aaiso surang |

Seeing such a beautiful dance

ਸਰ ਤਾਨਿ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਨ ਮਾਰਤ ਅਨੰਗ ॥
sar taan nripan maarat anang |

Seeing the colourful dance of this kind, the god of love was pulling his bow and discharging his arrows on the kings

ਸੋਭਾ ਅਪਾਰ ਬਰਣੀ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥
sobhaa apaar baranee na jaae |

The splendor was immense, (His) could not be described.

ਰੀਝੇ ਅਵਿਲੋਕਿ ਰਾਨਾ ਰੁ ਰਾਇ ॥੩੭॥
reejhe avilok raanaa ru raae |37|

The great glory of the atmosphere is indescribable and all were getting pleased on seeing it.37.
