ਰਾਨੀ ਕੇ ਸੰਗ ਭੋਗ ਕਮਾਵੈ ॥
raanee ke sang bhog kamaavai |And may the company of the queen be happy.
ਦੂਸਰ ਦਿਨ ਹਮ ਰਾਜ ਕਮਾਵਹਿ ॥
doosar din ham raaj kamaaveh |Another day I will rule
ਲੈ ਅਪਨੀ ਇਸਤ੍ਰਿਯਹਿ ਬਜਾਵਹਿ ॥੯॥
lai apanee isatriyeh bajaaveh |9|And I will marry my wife. 9.
ਜਬ ਬਹੁ ਬਿਧਿ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਐਸ ਉਚਰਾ ॥
jab bahu bidh nrip aais ucharaa |When the king said in a very eloquent manner,
ਸਹਚਰਿ ਏਕ ਜੋਰ ਦੋਊ ਕਰਾ ॥
sahachar ek jor doaoo karaa |So a sakhi joined both hands
ਯੌ ਰਾਜਾ ਸੌ ਬਚਨ ਉਚਾਰੇ ॥
yau raajaa sau bachan uchaare |Addressing the king thus,
ਸੁ ਮੈ ਕਹਤ ਹੌ ਸੁਨਹੋ ਪ੍ਯਾਰੇ ॥੧੦॥
su mai kahat hau sunaho payaare |10|O dear Rajan! (About this) listen to what I say. 10.
ਏਕ ਬੈਦ ਤੁਮ ਤਾਹਿ ਬੁਲਾਵੌ ॥
ek baid tum taeh bulaavau |There is a physician, you call him
ਤਾ ਤੇ ਇਹ ਉਪਚਾਰ ਕਰਾਵੋ ॥
taa te ih upachaar karaavo |And get it treated by him.
ਸੋ ਛਿਨ ਮੈ ਯਾ ਕੋ ਦੁਖ ਹਰਿ ਹੈ ॥
so chhin mai yaa ko dukh har hai |He will remove its pain in a pinch
ਰੋਗਨਿ ਤੇ ਸੁ ਅਰੋਗਿਨਿ ਕਰਿ ਹੈ ॥੧੧॥
rogan te su arogin kar hai |11|And will cure the disease. 11.
ਜਬ ਰਾਜੇ ਐਸੇ ਸੁਨਿ ਪਾਵਾ ॥
jab raaje aaise sun paavaa |When the king heard this,
ਤਤਛਿਨ ਤਾ ਕਹ ਬੋਲਿ ਪਠਾਵਾ ॥
tatachhin taa kah bol patthaavaa |So he immediately sent for him.
ਰਾਨੀ ਕੀ ਨਾਟਿਕਾ ਦਿਖਾਈ ॥
raanee kee naattikaa dikhaaee |Rani's pulse is visible.
ਬੋਲਾ ਬੈਦ ਦੇਖਿ ਸੁਖਦਾਈ ॥੧੨॥
bolaa baid dekh sukhadaaee |12|The physician who gives happiness by seeing (the pulse) spoke. 12.
ਦੁਖ ਜੌਨੇ ਇਹ ਤਰੁਨਿ ਦੁਖਾਈ ॥
dukh jauane ih tarun dukhaaee |(O King!) The sorrow that afflicts this woman,
ਸੋ ਦੁਖ ਤੁਮ ਸੋ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥
so dukh tum so kahiyo na jaaee |That pain cannot be told to you.
ਜਾਨ ਮਾਫ ਹਮਰੀ ਜੋ ਕੀਜੈ ॥
jaan maaf hamaree jo keejai |If (first) spare my life
ਪਾਛੇ ਬਾਤ ਸਕਲ ਸੁਨਿ ਲੀਜੈ ॥੧੩॥
paachhe baat sakal sun leejai |13|Then listen to (my) whole story later. 13.
ਯਾ ਰਾਨੀ ਕਹ ਕਾਮ ਸੰਤਾਯੋ ॥
yaa raanee kah kaam santaayo |Lust is hurting this queen
ਤੁਮ ਨਹਿ ਇਹ ਸੰਗ ਭੋਗ ਕਮਾਯੋ ॥
tum neh ih sang bhog kamaayo |And you are not indulging in it.
ਤਾ ਤੇ ਯਹਿ ਰੋਗ ਗਹਿ ਲੀਨਾ ॥
taa te yeh rog geh leenaa |So the disease has overtaken it.
ਹਮ ਤੇ ਜਾਤ ਉਪਾ ਨ ਕੀਨਾ ॥੧੪॥
ham te jaat upaa na keenaa |14|(No) remedy can be done from me. 14.
ਯਹ ਮਦ ਮਤ ਮੈਨ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਭਰੀ ॥
yah mad mat main triy bharee |This woman is full of lust.
ਤੁਮ ਕ੍ਰੀੜਾ ਇਹ ਸਾਥ ਨ ਕਰੀ ॥
tum kreerraa ih saath na karee |You have not played with it.
ਅਬ ਯਹ ਅਧਿਕ ਭੋਗ ਜਬ ਪਾਵੈ ॥
ab yah adhik bhog jab paavai |When it will be greatly indulged,
ਯਾ ਕੋ ਰੋਗ ਦੂਰ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਜਾਵੈ ॥੧੫॥
yaa ko rog door hvai jaavai |15|Then its disease will be removed. 15.
ਇਹ ਤੁਮ ਤਬ ਉਪਚਾਰ ਕਰਾਵੋ ॥
eih tum tab upachaar karaavo |Then you should treat it (from me),
ਬਚਨ ਹਾਥ ਮੋਰੇ ਪਰ ਦ੍ਰਯਾਵੋ ॥
bachan haath more par drayaavo |(When first) you will put your word on my hand.
ਜਬ ਇਹ ਦੁਖ ਮੈ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਾਊ ॥
jab ih dukh mai door karaaoo |When I remove its pain,
ਅਰਧ ਰਾਜ ਰਾਨੀ ਜੁਤ ਪਾਊ ॥੧੬॥
aradh raaj raanee jut paaoo |16|So let me get half the kingdom along with the queen. 16.
ਭਲੀ ਭਲੀ ਰਾਜੈ ਤਬ ਭਾਖੀ ॥
bhalee bhalee raajai tab bhaakhee |The king (hearing the talk) said 'good good'
ਹਮਹੂੰ ਇਹ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਮਥਿ ਰਾਖੀ ॥
hamahoon ih hiradai math raakhee |(And clarified that) I had the same thought in my mind.
ਪ੍ਰਥਮ ਰੋਗ ਤੁਮ ਯਾਹਿ ਮਿਟਾਵੋ ॥
pratham rog tum yaeh mittaavo |First you eradicate its disease.
ਅਰਧ ਰਾਜ ਰਾਨੀ ਜੁਤ ਪਾਵੋ ॥੧੭॥
aradh raaj raanee jut paavo |17|Then get half the kingdom along with the queen. 17.
ਪ੍ਰਥਮਹਿ ਬਚਨ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਤੇ ਲਿਯਾ ॥
prathameh bachan nripat te liyaa |(The physician) first took word from the king
ਪੁਨਿ ਉਪਚਾਰ ਤਰੁਨਿ ਕੋ ਕਿਯਾ ॥
pun upachaar tarun ko kiyaa |And then treated the woman.
ਭੋਗ ਕਿਯੋ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਰੋਗ ਮਿਟਾਯੋ ॥
bhog kiyo triy rog mittaayo |The woman's disease was eradicated by indulgence
ਅਰਧ ਰਾਜ ਰਾਨੀ ਜੁਤ ਪਾਯੋ ॥੧੮॥
aradh raaj raanee jut paayo |18|And got half the kingdom along with the queen. 18.
ਅਰਧ ਰਾਜ ਇਹ ਛਲ ਤਿਹ ਦਿਯੋ ॥
aradh raaj ih chhal tih diyo |(The woman) gave half the kingdom to him (the man) with this trick
ਰਾਨੀ ਭੋਗ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਸੰਗ ਕਿਯੋ ॥
raanee bhog mitr sang kiyo |And the Queen enjoyed union with Mitra.
ਮੂਰਖ ਨਾਹ ਨਾਹਿ ਛਲ ਪਾਯੋ ॥
moorakh naah naeh chhal paayo |The foolish king could not understand the trick.
ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਆਪਨੋ ਮੂੰਡ ਮੁੰਡਾਯੋ ॥੧੯॥
pragatt aapano moondd munddaayo |19|Shaved his head openly. 19.
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥
doharaa |dual:
ਇਹ ਛਲ ਰਾਨੀ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਛਲਾ ਰਮੀ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਕੇ ਸਾਥ ॥
eih chhal raanee nrip chhalaa ramee mitr ke saath |Thus the queen tricked the king and had sex with Mitra.
ਅਰਧ ਰਾਜ ਤਾ ਕੋ ਦਿਯਾ ਭੇਦ ਨ ਪਾਯੋ ਨਾਥ ॥੨੦॥
aradh raaj taa ko diyaa bhed na paayo naath |20|He was given half of the kingdom, but the King ('Nath') could not find (his) secret. 20.

ਇਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਅਰਧ ਰਾਜ ਤਿਹ ਦੀਯੋ ॥
eih bidh aradh raaj tih deeyo |Thus half the kingdom was given to him (Mitra).
ਮੂਰਖ ਪਤਿ ਕਹ ਅਸਿ ਛਲਿ ਲੀਯੋ ॥
moorakh pat kah as chhal leeyo |Tricked the stupid husband like this.
ਇਕ ਦਿਨ ਰਨਿਯਹਿ ਜਾਰ ਬਜਾਵੈ ॥
eik din raniyeh jaar bajaavai |One day Yar met with Rani
ਅਰਧ ਰਾਜ ਤਿਹ ਆਪ ਕਮਾਵੈ ॥੨੧॥
aradh raaj tih aap kamaavai |21|And he would also enjoy half of his kingdom. 21.
ਇਕ ਦਿਨ ਆਵੈ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਕੈ ਧਾਮਾ ॥
eik din aavai nrip kai dhaamaa |(The queen) came to the king's house one day
ਇਕ ਦਿਨ ਭਜੈ ਜਾਰ ਕੌ ਬਾਮਾ ॥
eik din bhajai jaar kau baamaa |And one day (that) a man would marry a woman.
ਇਕ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਜਾ ਰਾਜ ਕਮਾਵੈ ॥
eik din raajaa raaj kamaavai |One day the king used to rule
ਜਾਰ ਛਤ੍ਰ ਦਿਨ ਦੁਤਿਯ ਢਰਾਵੈ ॥੨੨॥
jaar chhatr din dutiy dtaraavai |22|And on the second day Yar (royal) used to swing the umbrella. 22.
ਇਤਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਪਖ੍ਯਾਨੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਾ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰੇ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੀ ਭੂਪ ਸੰਬਾਦੇ ਦੋਇ ਸੌ ਬਾਨਵੋ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਸਮਾਪਤਮ ਸਤੁ ਸੁਭਮ ਸਤੁ ॥੨੯੨॥੫੫੭੧॥ਅਫਜੂੰ॥
eit sree charitr pakhayaane triyaa charitre mantree bhoop sanbaade doe sau baanavo charitr samaapatam sat subham sat |292|5571|afajoon|Here ends the 292nd charitra of Mantri Bhup Sambad of Tria Charitra of Sri Charitropakhyan, all is auspicious. 292.5571. goes on

ਰਾਜਪੁਰੀ ਨਗਰੀ ਹੈ ਜਹਾ ॥
raajapuree nagaree hai jahaa |Where there was a city called Rajpuri,
ਰਾਜ ਸੈਨ ਰਾਜਾ ਇਕ ਤਹਾ ॥
raaj sain raajaa ik tahaa |There was a king named Raj Sen.
ਰਾਜ ਦੇਈ ਤਾ ਕੇ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਨਾਰੀ ॥
raaj deee taa ke grih naaree |In his house there was a woman named Raj Dei
ਚੰਦ੍ਰ ਲਈ ਜਾ ਤੇ ਉਜਿਯਾਰੀ ॥੧॥
chandr lee jaa te ujiyaaree |1|From whom (suppose) the moon has taken the light. 1.
ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਸੌ ਅਤਿ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਕੋ ਹਿਤ ਰਹੈ ॥
nrip sau at triy ko hit rahai |The king was very interested in women.
ਸੋਈ ਕਰਤ ਜੁ ਰਾਨੀ ਕਹੈ ॥
soee karat ju raanee kahai |He did what the queen said.
ਔਰ ਨਾਰਿ ਕੇ ਧਾਮ ਨ ਜਾਵੈ ॥
aauar naar ke dhaam na jaavai |He did not go to another (any) woman's house.
ਅਧਿਕ ਨਾਰ ਕੇ ਤ੍ਰਾਸ ਤ੍ਰਸਾਵੈ ॥੨॥
adhik naar ke traas trasaavai |2|(Because he was afraid of this) woman. 2.
ਰਾਨੀ ਕੀ ਆਗ੍ਯਾ ਸਭ ਮਾਨੈ ॥
raanee kee aagayaa sabh maanai |All obeyed the queen
ਰਾਜਾ ਕੋ ਕਰਿ ਕਛੂ ਨ ਜਾਨੈ ॥
raajaa ko kar kachhoo na jaanai |And did not understand the king.
ਮਾਰਿਯੋ ਚਹਤ ਨਾਰਿ ਤਿਹ ਮਾਰੈ ॥
maariyo chahat naar tih maarai |(Whomever) Rani wanted to kill, she would have killed him
ਜਿਹ ਜਾਨੈ ਤਿਹ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਉਬਾਰੈ ॥੩॥
jih jaanai tih praan ubaarai |3|And she saves the life of whomever she wants. 3.
ਬੇਸ੍ਵਾ ਏਕ ਠੌਰ ਤਿਹ ਆਈ ॥
besvaa ek tthauar tih aaee |A prostitute came to that place.
ਤਿਹ ਪਰ ਰਹੇ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਉਰਝਾਈ ॥
tih par rahe nripat urajhaaee |The king fell in love with him.
ਚਹਤ ਚਿਤ ਮਹਿ ਤਾਹਿ ਬੁਲਾਵੈ ॥
chahat chit meh taeh bulaavai |(His) desire to call him,
