ਇਹ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਕੋ ਛਲ ਸੋ ਗਹਿ ਲੀਜੈ ॥
eih nrip ko chhal so geh leejai |(He thought) let this king be caught by trickery
ਰਾਜ੍ਰਯ ਪੂਤ ਆਪੁਨੇ ਕੋ ਦੀਜੈ ॥੫॥
raajray poot aapune ko deejai |5|And the kingdom should be given to his son. 5.
ਸੋਵਤ ਨਿਰਖਿ ਰਾਵ ਗਹਿ ਲਯੋ ॥
sovat nirakh raav geh layo |He saw the king sleeping
ਗਹਿ ਕਰਿ ਏਕ ਧਾਮ ਮੈ ਦਯੋ ॥
geh kar ek dhaam mai dayo |And caught him and locked him in a house (ie room).
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਰਸਰੰਗ ਮਤੀ ਜਿਯ ਮਾਰੀ ॥
sree rasarang matee jiy maaree |Rasrang Mati was killed
ਸਭਹਿਨ ਲਹਤ ਰਾਵ ਕਹਿ ਜਾਰੀ ॥੬॥
sabhahin lahat raav keh jaaree |6|And in front of everyone, he burned it as a king. 6.
ਭਯੋ ਸੂਰ ਰਾਜਾ ਜੂ ਮਰਿਯੋ ॥
bhayo soor raajaa joo mariyo |(Then it was spread among the people that) the king has died due to rising of the pillar
ਹਮ ਕੋ ਨਾਥ ਨਾਥ ਬਿਨੁ ਕਰਿਯੋ ॥
ham ko naath naath bin kariyo |And we have been orphaned by Nath.
ਯਾ ਕੋ ਪ੍ਰਥਮ ਦਾਹ ਦੈ ਲੀਜੈ ॥
yaa ko pratham daah dai leejai |He should be cremated first
ਚੰਦ੍ਰ ਕੇਤੁ ਕੋ ਰਾਜਾ ਕੀਜੈ ॥੭॥
chandr ket ko raajaa keejai |7|And then Chandra Ketu should be made king. 7.
ਰਾਜਾ ਮਰਿਯੋ ਪ੍ਰਜਾ ਸਭ ਜਾਨ੍ਯੋ ॥
raajaa mariyo prajaa sabh jaanayo |All the people came to know that the king was dead.
ਭੇਦ ਅਭੇਦ ਕਿਨੂੰ ਨ ਪਛਾਨ੍ਯੋ ॥
bhed abhed kinoo na pachhaanayo |No one recognized the difference.
ਭਲੋ ਬੁਰੋ ਕਬਹੂੰ ਨ ਬਿਚਾਰਿਯੋ ॥
bhalo buro kabahoon na bichaariyo |No one thought bad or good
ਆਤਪਤ੍ਰ ਸਸਿਧੁਜ ਪਰ ਢਾਰਿਯੋ ॥੮॥
aatapatr sasidhuj par dtaariyo |8|And they placed the umbrella and four over the (head) of Sasi Dhuj. 8.

ਇਹ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਅਬਲਾ ਪਿਯ ਗਹਿਯੋ ॥
eih charitr abalaa piy gahiyo |With this character, the woman captured Priya (the king).
ਦੂਜੇ ਕਾਨ ਭੇਦ ਨਹਿ ਲਹਿਯੋ ॥
dooje kaan bhed neh lahiyo |Whom no one knew till the second ear.
ਰਾਜਾ ਕਹਿ ਕਰ ਸਵਤਿ ਜਰਾਈ ॥
raajaa keh kar savat jaraaee |Burned to death by calling him a king
ਨਿਜੁ ਸੁਤ ਕੋ ਦੀਨੀ ਠਕੁਰਾਈ ॥੯॥
nij sut ko deenee tthakuraaee |9|And gave the throne to his son. 9.

peer ek mulataan mai saraf deen tih naau |There was a Pir in Multan whose name was Sharaf Din.
ਖੂੰਟਾਗੜ ਕੇ ਤਟ ਬਸੈ ਬਾਦ ਰਹੀਮਹਿ ਗਾਉ ॥੧॥
khoonttaagarr ke tatt basai baad raheemeh gaau |1|He lived in Rahimabad village near Khuntagad. 1.

ਆਨੀ ਅਪਨੇ ਧਾਮ ਅਧਿਕ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਇ ਕੈ ॥

ਸ੍ਰੀ ਚਪਲਾਗ ਮਤੀ ਜਿਹ ਜਗਤ ਬਖਾਨਈ ॥
sree chapalaag matee jih jagat bakhaanee |She was called Chaplang Mati in the world.
ਹੋ ਤਾਹਿ ਰੂਪ ਕੀ ਰਾਸਿ ਸਭੇ ਪਹਿਚਾਨਈ ॥੨॥
ho taeh roop kee raas sabhe pahichaanee |2|They considered him the essence of all forms. 2.

ਕਿਤਕ ਦਿਨਨ ਭੀਤਰ ਤਵਨ ਤ੍ਯਾਗੇ ਪੀਰ ਪਰਾਨ ॥
kitak dinan bheetar tavan tayaage peer paraan |After a few days that pir gave up his life.
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਚਪਲਾਗ ਮਤੀ ਬਚੀ ਪਾਛੇ ਜਿਯਤ ਜਵਾਨ ॥੩॥
sree chapalaag matee bachee paachhe jiyat javaan |3|Chaplang Mati Jawan Jahan was left behind. 3.
ਰਾਇ ਖੁਸਾਲ ਭਏ ਕਰੀ ਤਿਨ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਬਨਾਇ ॥
raae khusaal bhe karee tin triy preet banaae |With Khushal Roy, he developed a lot of love for her
ਭਾਤਿ ਭਾਤਿ ਤਾ ਸੌ ਰਮੀ ਹ੍ਰਿਦੈ ਹਰਖ ਉਪਜਾਇ ॥੪॥
bhaat bhaat taa sau ramee hridai harakh upajaae |4|And with joy in his heart, he made love with her. 4.
ਨਿਤ ਪ੍ਰਤਿ ਰਾਇ ਖੁਸਾਲ ਤਿਹ ਨਿਜੁ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਲੇਤ ਬੁਲਾਇ ॥
nit prat raae khusaal tih nij grih let bulaae |Every day she would call Khushal Rai home
ਲਪਟਿ ਲਪਟਿ ਤਾ ਸੌ ਰਮੇ ਭਾਗ ਅਫੀਮ ਚੜਾਇ ॥੫॥
lapatt lapatt taa sau rame bhaag afeem charraae |5|And by eating bhang and opium, she used to have sex with him. 5.
ਰਮਤ ਰਮਤ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਤਵਨ ਕੌ ਰਹਿ ਗਯੋ ਉਦਰ ਅਧਾਨ ॥
ramat ramat triy tavan kau reh gayo udar adhaan |While making love (with him) that woman became pregnant.
ਲੋਗਨ ਸਭਹਨ ਸੁਨਤ ਹੀ ਐਸੇ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਸੁਜਾਨ ॥੬॥
logan sabhahan sunat hee aaise kahiyo sujaan |6|After listening to all the people, that clever woman said like this. 6.
ਅੜਿਲ ॥

ਰੈਨਿ ਸਮੈ ਗ੍ਰਿਹਿ ਪੀਰ ਹਮਾਰੇ ਆਵਈ ॥
rain samai grihi peer hamaare aavee |Peer ji comes to my house at night.
ਰੀਤਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਕੀ ਮੋ ਸੌ ਅਧਿਕੁਪਜਾਵਈ ॥
reet preet kee mo sau adhikupajaavee |They love me a lot.
ਏਕ ਪੂਤ ਮੈ ਮਾਗਿ ਤਬੈ ਤਾ ਤੇ ਲਿਯੋ ॥
ek poot mai maag tabai taa te liyo |Then I asked for the gift of a son from them.
ਹੋ ਨਾਥ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰਿ ਮੋ ਪਰ ਸੁਤ ਮੋ ਕੌ ਦਿਯੋ ॥੭॥
ho naath kripaa kar mo par sut mo kau diyo |7|Then Nath kindly gave me a son.7.
ਕੇਤਿਕ ਦਿਨਨ ਪ੍ਰਸੂਤ ਪੂਤ ਤਾ ਕੇ ਭਯੋ ॥
ketik dinan prasoot poot taa ke bhayo |After some days, a boy was born in his house.
ਸਤਿ ਪੀਰ ਕੋ ਬਚਨ ਮਾਨਿ ਸਭਹੂੰ ਲਯੋ ॥
sat peer ko bachan maan sabhahoon layo |Everyone accepted the Pir's word as true.
ਧੰਨ੍ਯ ਧੰਨ੍ਯ ਅਬਲਾਹਿ ਖਾਦਿਮਨੁਚਾਰਿਯੋ ॥
dhanay dhanay abalaeh khaadimanuchaariyo |The servants of that lady also said blessed.
ਹੋ ਭੇਦ ਅਭੇਦ ਨ ਕਿਨਹੂੰ ਮੂਰਖ ਬਿਚਾਰਿਯੋ ॥੮॥
ho bhed abhed na kinahoon moorakh bichaariyo |8|But even a fool did not consider the matter of separation. 8.
