ਪਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਪੀਠੰ ਠਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਠੋਕੋ ॥
paagarradang peetthan tthaagarradang tthoko |

ਹਰੋ ਆਜ ਪਾਨੰ ਸੁਰੰ ਮੋਹ ਲੋਕੋ ॥੫੮੦॥
haro aaj paanan suran moh loko |580|

“By patting me on my back and I shall conquer all the abodes of gods today.”580.

ਆਗੜਦੰਗ ਐਸੇ ਕਹਯੋ ਅਉ ਉਡਾਨੋ ॥
aagarradang aaise kahayo aau uddaano |

ਗਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਗੈਨੰ ਮਿਲਯੋ ਮਧ ਮਾਨੋ ॥
gaagarradang gainan milayo madh maano |

Uttering these words Hanuman flew and it seemed that he had become one with the sky.

ਰਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਰਾਮੰ ਆਗੜਦੰਗ ਆਸੰ ॥
raagarradang raaman aagarradang aasan |

ਬਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਬੈਠੇ ਨਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਨਿਰਾਸੰ ॥੫੮੧॥
baagarradang baitthe naagarradang niraasan |581|

Ram sat down disappointed, keeping the hope in his mind.581.

ਆਗੜਦੰਗ ਆਗੇ ਕਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਕੋਊ ॥
aagarradang aage kaagarradang koaoo |

ਮਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਮਾਰੇ ਸਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਸੋਊ ॥
maagarradang maare saagarradang soaoo |

Whosoever came in front of Hanuman, he killed him,

ਨਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਨਾਕੀ ਤਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਤਾਲੰ ॥
naagarradang naakee taagarradang taalan |

ਮਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਮਾਰੇ ਬਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਬਿਸਾਲੰ ॥੫੮੨॥
maagarradang maare baagarradang bisaalan |582|

And thus killing (the forces) he reached on the bank of a tank.582.

ਆਗੜਦੰਗ ਏਕੰ ਦਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਦਾਨੋ ॥
aagarradang ekan daagarradang daano |

ਚਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਚੀਰਾ ਦਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਦੁਰਾਨੋ ॥
chaagarradang cheeraa daagarradang duraano |

There a terrible-looking demon was hiding

ਦਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਦੋਖੀ ਬਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਬੂਟੀ ॥
daagarradang dokhee baagarradang boottee |

ਆਗੜਦੰਗ ਹੈ ਏਕ ਤੇ ਏਕ ਜੂਟੀ ॥੫੮੩॥
aagarradang hai ek te ek joottee |583|

And at the same place Hanuman saw many herbs clustered with one another.583.

ਚਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਚਉਕਾ ਹਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਹਨਵੰਤਾ ॥
chaagarradang chaukaa haagarradang hanavantaa |

ਜਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਜੋਧਾ ਮਹਾ ਤੇਜ ਮੰਤਾ ॥
jaagarradang jodhaa mahaa tej mantaa |

The highly radiant Hanuman, seeing this, was perturbed and felt confused about the herb to be taken away

ਆਗੜਦੰਗ ਉਖਾਰਾ ਪਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਪਹਾਰੰ ॥
aagarradang ukhaaraa paagarradang pahaaran |

ਆਗੜਦੰਗ ਲੈ ਅਉਖਧੀ ਕੋ ਸਿਧਾਰੰ ॥੫੮੪॥
aagarradang lai aaukhadhee ko sidhaaran |584|

He uprooted the whole mountain and returned with the medicinal herbs.584.

ਆਗੜਦੰਗ ਆਏ ਜਹਾ ਰਾਮ ਖੇਤੰ ॥
aagarradang aae jahaa raam khetan |

ਬਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਬੀਰੰ ਜਹਾ ਤੇ ਅਚੇਤੰ ॥
baagarradang beeran jahaa te achetan |

He reached that battlefield with the mountain where Lakshman was lying unconscious

ਬਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਬਿਸਲਯਾ ਮਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਮੁਖੰ ॥
baagarradang bisalayaa maagarradang mukhan |

ਡਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਡਾਰੀ ਸਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਸੁਖੰ ॥੫੮੫॥
ddaagarradang ddaaree saagarradang sukhan |585|

The apothecary Sushan put the required herb in the month of Lakshman.585.

ਜਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਜਾਗੇ ਸਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਸੂਰੰ ॥
jaagarradang jaage saagarradang sooran |

ਘਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਘੁਮੀ ਹਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਹੂਰੰ ॥
ghaagarradang ghumee haagarradang hooran |

The mighty warrior Lakshman regained his senses and the roaming heavenly damsels went back

ਛਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਛੂਟੇ ਨਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਨਾਦੰ ॥
chhaagarradang chhootte naagarradang naadan |

ਬਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਬਾਜੇ ਨਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਨਾਦੰ ॥੫੮੬॥
baagarradang baaje naagarradang naadan |586|

The great trumpets resounded in the battlefield.586.

ਤਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਤੀਰੰ ਛਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਛੂਟੇ ॥
taagarradang teeran chhaagarradang chhootte |

ਗਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਗਾਜੀ ਜਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਜੁਟੇ ॥
gaagarradang gaajee jaagarradang jutte |

The arrows were discharged and the warriors began to fight again with one another.

ਖਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਖੇਤੰ ਸਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਸੋਏ ॥
khaagarradang khetan saagarradang soe |

ਪਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਤੇ ਪਾਕ ਸਾਹੀਦ ਹੋਏ ॥੫੮੭॥
paagarradang te paak saaheed hoe |587|

The brave fighters dying in the battlefield became true martyrs.587.

ਮਚੇ ਸੂਰਬੀਰ ਬਿਕ੍ਰਾਰੰ ॥
mache soorabeer bikraaran |

ਨਚੇ ਭੂਤ ਪ੍ਰੇਤ ਬੈਤਾਰੰ ॥
nache bhoot pret baitaaran |

The terrible warriors were absorbed in fighting the ghosts, fiends and Baitals began to dance

ਝਮਝਮ ਲਸਤ ਕੋਟਿ ਕਰਵਾਰੰ ॥
jhamajham lasat kott karavaaran |

ਝਲਹਲੰਤ ਉਜਲ ਅਸਿ ਧਾਰੰ ॥੫੮੮॥
jhalahalant ujal as dhaaran |588|

The blows were struck with many hands creating knocking sounds and the white edges of the swords glittered.588.

TRIBHANGI STANZA

ਉਜਲ ਅਸ ਧਾਰੰ ਲਸਤ ਅਪਾਰੰ ਕਰਣ ਲੁਝਾਰੰ ਛਬਿ ਧਾਰੰ ॥
aujal as dhaaran lasat apaaran karan lujhaaran chhab dhaaran |

The white edges of the swords, increasing splendour, looked impressive

ਸੋਭਿਤ ਜਿਮੁ ਆਰੰ ਅਤ ਛਬਿ ਧਾਰੰ ਸੁ ਬਧ ਸੁਧਾਰੰ ਅਰ ਗਾਰੰ ॥
sobhit jim aaran at chhab dhaaran su badh sudhaaran ar gaaran |

These sword are the destroyers of the enemies and appear like saws

ਜੈਪਤ੍ਰੰ ਦਾਤੀ ਮਦਿਣੰ ਮਾਤੀ ਸ੍ਰੋਣੰ ਰਾਤੀ ਜੈ ਕਰਣੰ ॥
jaipatran daatee madinan maatee sronan raatee jai karanan |

They frighten the enemy by granting victory, by bathing in the blood,

ਦੁਜਨ ਦਲ ਹੰਤੀ ਅਛਲ ਜਯੰਤੀ ਕਿਲਵਿਖ ਹੰਤੀ ਭੈ ਹਰਣੰ ॥੫੮੯॥
dujan dal hantee achhal jayantee kilavikh hantee bhai haranan |589|

By destroying the intoxicated tyrants and by perishing all the vices.589.

ਭਰਹਰੰਤ ਭਜਤ ਰਣ ਸੂਰੰ ॥
bharaharant bhajat ran sooran |

ਥਰਹਰ ਕਰਤ ਲੋਹ ਤਨ ਪੂਰੰ ॥
tharahar karat loh tan pooran |

There was consternation, the warriors ran and their bodies wearing armour trembled

ਤੜਭੜ ਬਜੈਂ ਤਬਲ ਅਰੁ ਤੂਰੰ ॥
tarrabharr bajain tabal ar tooran |

ਘੁਮੀ ਪੇਖ ਸੁਭਟ ਰਨ ਹੂਰੰ ॥੫੯੦॥
ghumee pekh subhatt ran hooran |590|

The trumpets resounded violently in the war and seeing the mighty warriors the heavenly damsels advanced towards them again.590.

TRIBHANGI STANZA

ਘੁੰਮੀ ਰਣ ਹੂਰੰ ਨਭ ਝੜ ਪੂਰੰ ਲਖ ਲਖ ਸੂਰੰ ਮਨ ਮੋਹੀ ॥
ghunmee ran hooran nabh jharr pooran lakh lakh sooran man mohee |

Returning from heaven the damsels moved towards the warriors and enchanted their mind

ਆਰੁਣ ਤਨ ਬਾਣੰ ਛਬ ਅਪ੍ਰਮਾਣੰ ਅਤਿਦੁਤ ਖਾਣੰ ਤਨ ਸੋਹੀ ॥
aarun tan baanan chhab apramaanan atidut khaanan tan sohee |

Their bodies were red like the arrows saturated with blood and their beauty was unparalleled
