ਏਕ ਪੁਕਾਰਤ ਊਚ ਚਲੀ ਕੋਸਕ ਗਈ ॥
ek pukaarat aooch chalee kosak gee |A koh went away with a loud noise.
ਬਹੁ ਲੋਗਨ ਕੌ ਲ੍ਯਾਇ ਸੁ ਉਨ ਕੌ ਘਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
bahu logan kau layaae su un kau ghaae kai |She killed them (passengers) and brought many people.
ਹੋ ਕਹਿ ਫਾਸਿਨ ਪਤਿ ਹਨੇ ਦਏ ਦਿਖਰਾਇ ਕੈ ॥੮॥
ho keh faasin pat hane de dikharaae kai |8|And showed that our husbands have been hanged and killed. 8.
ਚੌਪਈ ॥
chauapee |twenty four:
ਪੰਚ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਤਿਨ ਜੁਤ ਆਈ ॥
panch isatree tin jut aaee |Five women came to them (people).
ਧਨਵੰਤੀ ਅਤਿ ਠਗਨ ਤਕਾਈ ॥
dhanavantee at tthagan takaaee |Thieves find (it) very rich.
ਪੰਚਨ ਕੇ ਫਾਸੀ ਗਹਿ ਡਾਰੀ ॥
panchan ke faasee geh ddaaree |(The robbers hanged our) five husbands
ਹਮ ਪਾਚੋ ਰਹਿ ਗਈ ਬਿਚਾਰੀ ॥੯॥
ham paacho reh gee bichaaree |9|And (now) we are left with five thoughts. 9.
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥
doharaa |dual:
ਪਤਿ ਮਾਰੇ ਫਾਸਿਨ ਠਗਨ ਸਾਥੀ ਰਹਿਯੋ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥
pat maare faasin tthagan saathee rahiyo na koe |Our husbands have been hanged by thugs (and we have) no companion.
ਹਮ ਬਨ ਮੈ ਏਕਲ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਾ ਦੈਵ ਕਹਾ ਗਤਿ ਹੋਇ ॥੧੦॥
ham ban mai ekal triyaa daiv kahaa gat hoe |10|We are the only women in Bun. God knows, what will happen to us now. 10.

ਕਾਜੀ ਕੋਟਵਾਰ ਤਹ ਆਏ ॥
kaajee kottavaar tah aae |Qazi and Kotwal came there.
ਰਨਸਿੰਗੇ ਰਨ ਨਾਦ ਬਜਾਏ ॥
ranasinge ran naad bajaae |Ran-singhe and nagare played.
ਕੋਪ ਠਾਨ ਯੌ ਬਚਨ ਉਚਾਰੇ ॥
kop tthaan yau bachan uchaare |(They) came in anger and said
ਹਮ ਸਾਥੀ ਇਹ ਠਾਉ ਤਿਹਾਰੇ ॥੧੧॥
ham saathee ih tthaau tihaare |11|That here we are your companions. 11.
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥
doharaa |dual:
ਚਾਰਿ ਊਟ ਮੁਹਰਨ ਭਰੇ ਆਠ ਰੁਪੈਯਨ ਸਾਥ ॥
chaar aoott muharan bhare aatth rupaiyan saath |(They began to say that) four camels are loaded with seals and eight with rupees.
ਪਤਿ ਮੂਏ ਏਊ ਗਏ ਤੌ ਹਮ ਭਈ ਅਨਾਥ ॥੧੨॥
pat mooe eaoo ge tau ham bhee anaath |12|The husband has died like this and we have become orphans. 12.
ਚੌਪਈ ॥

ਤਬ ਕਾਜੀ ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਉਚਾਰੋ ॥
tab kaajee ih bhaat uchaaro |Then the Qazi said thus,
ਤ੍ਰਿਯਾ ਕਛੂ ਜਿਨਿ ਸੋਕ ਬਿਚਾਰੋ ॥
triyaa kachhoo jin sok bichaaro |O women! (You) do not grieve over anything.
ਹਮ ਕੌ ਫਾਰਖਤੀ ਲਿਖ ਦੀਜੈ ॥
ham kau faarakhatee likh deejai |Write us Farakhti (Letter of Bebaki).
ਦ੍ਵਾਦਸ ਊਟ ਆਪਨੇ ਲੀਜੈ ॥੧੩॥
dvaadas aoott aapane leejai |13|And take your twelve camels. 13.
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥
doharaa |dual:
ਦੀਨਨ ਕੀ ਰਛਾ ਕਰੀ ਕੌਡੀ ਗਨੀ ਕੁਪਾਇ ॥
deenan kee rachhaa karee kauaddee ganee kupaae |(The women said, you) have protected the orphans and considered it bad to receive a kodi.
ਸਭ ਹੀ ਦਯੋ ਬਹੋਰਿ ਧਨ ਧੰਨ ਕਾਜਿਨ ਕੇ ਰਾਇ ॥੧੪॥
sabh hee dayo bahor dhan dhan kaajin ke raae |14|Then you have given all the money. O Lord of Qazis! (You) are blessed. 14.
ਦੁਸਟ ਅਰਿਸਟ ਨਿਵਾਰਿ ਕੈ ਲੀਨੋ ਪਤਹ ਬਚਾਇ ॥
dusatt arisatt nivaar kai leeno patah bachaae |The husband was saved by removing evil and suffering
ਭਾਤਿ ਭਾਤਿ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰੀ ਹੀਏ ਹਰਖ ਉਪਜਾਇ ॥੧੫॥
bhaat bhaat sevaa karee hee harakh upajaae |15|And being pleased in his heart served him in many ways. 15.
ਇਤਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਪਖ੍ਯਾਨੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਾ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰੇ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੀ ਭੂਪ ਸੰਬਾਦੇ ਇਕ ਸੌ ਉਨਵਿੰਜਵੋ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਸਮਾਪਤਮ ਸਤੁ ਸੁਭਮ ਸਤੁ ॥੧੪੯॥੨੯੮੯॥ਅਫਜੂੰ॥
eit sree charitr pakhayaane triyaa charitre mantree bhoop sanbaade ik sau unavinjavo charitr samaapatam sat subham sat |149|2989|afajoon|Here is the conclusion of the 149th chapter of Mantri Bhup Sambad of Tria Charitra of Sri Charitropakhyan, all is auspicious. 149.2989. goes on

ਰਾਨੀ ਏਕ ਨਗੌਰੇ ਰਹੈ ॥
raanee ek nagauare rahai |There lived a queen in Nagor Nagar.
ਗਰਭਵਤੀ ਤਾ ਕੌ ਜਗ ਕਹੈ ॥
garabhavatee taa kau jag kahai |Jagatwale called her pregnant.
ਪੂਤ ਰਾਵ ਕੇ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਕੋਊ ਨਾਹੀ ॥
poot raav ke grih koaoo naahee |The king had no son.
ਚਿੰਤਾ ਇਹੇ ਤਾਹਿ ਮਨ ਮਾਹੀ ॥੧॥
chintaa ihe taeh man maahee |1|This was the only worry in his mind. 1.
ਗਰਭਵਤੀ ਆਪਹਿ ਠਹਿਰਾਯੋ ॥
garabhavatee aapeh tthahiraayo |(He) made himself pregnant
ਪੂਤ ਆਨ ਕੋ ਆਨ ਜਿਵਾਯੋ ॥
poot aan ko aan jivaayo |And someone else's son came (to his house) and made a feast.
ਸਭ ਕੋਊ ਪੂਤ ਰਾਵ ਕੋ ਮਾਨੈ ॥
sabh koaoo poot raav ko maanai |Everyone started thinking of him as the king's son.
ਤਾ ਕੌ ਭੇਦ ਨ ਕੋਊ ਜਾਨੈ ॥੨॥
taa kau bhed na koaoo jaanai |2|No one understood his real secret. 2.
ਅੜਿਲ ॥
arril |adamant:
ਦੋਇ ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਜਬ ਤਾਹਿ ਬਿਧਾਤੈ ਪੁਨ ਦਏ ॥
doe putr jab taeh bidhaatai pun de |When God gave him two sons,
ਰੂਪਵੰਤ ਸੁਭ ਸੀਲ ਜਤ ਬ੍ਰਤ ਹੋਤ ਭੇ ॥
roopavant subh seel jat brat hot bhe |He was very handsome, well-mannered and well-mannered.
ਤਬ ਉਨ ਦੁਹੂੰ ਪਾਲਕਨ ਲੈ ਕੈ ਬਿਖੁ ਦਈ ॥
tab un duhoon paalakan lai kai bikh dee |Then both of them gave wish to the adopted son
ਹੋ ਨਿਜੁ ਪੂਤਨ ਕਹ ਰਾਜ ਪਕਾਵਤ ਤਹ ਭਈ ॥੩॥

ਭਾਤਿ ਭਾਤਿ ਸੌ ਰੋਦਨ ਕਿਯੋ ਪੁਕਾਰਿ ਕੈ ॥
bhaat bhaat sau rodan kiyo pukaar kai |She began to cry and cry.
ਨਿਰਖਾ ਤਿਨ ਕੀ ਓਰ ਸਿਰੋਕਚੁਪਾਰਿ ਕੈ ॥
nirakhaa tin kee or sirokachupaar kai |She started looking at him while pulling the hair of her head.
ਪ੍ਰਾਨਨਾਥ ਊ ਆਏ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਨ ਸੋਕ ਕਰਿ ॥
praananaath aoo aae kahiyo na sok kar |Pranath (king) came and said, don't be sad.
ਹੋ ਅਕਥ ਕਥਾ ਕੀ ਕਥਾ ਜਾਨਿ ਜਿਯ ਧੀਰ ਧਰਿ ॥੪॥
ho akath kathaa kee kathaa jaan jiy dheer dhar |4|Know this as the story of the unspeakable God and be patient. 4.
