ਖਿਆਲ ਪਾਤਿਸਾਹੀ ੧੦ ॥
khiaal paatisaahee 10 |KHYAL OF THE TENTH KING
ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਹਾਲੁ ਮੁਰੀਦਾਂ ਦਾ ਕਹਣਾ ॥
mitr piaare noo haal mureedaan daa kahanaa |Convey to the dear friend the condition of the disciples,
ਤੁਧ ਬਿਨੁ ਰੋਗੁ ਰਜਾਈਆਂ ਦਾ ਓਢਣੁ ਨਾਗ ਨਿਵਾਸਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਹਣਾ ॥
tudh bin rog rajaaeean daa odtan naag nivaasaan de rahanaa |Without Thee, the taking over of quilt is like disease and living in the house is like living with serpents
ਸੂਲ ਸੁਰਾਹੀ ਖੰਜਰੁ ਪਿਯਾਲਾ ਬਿੰਗ ਕਸਾਈਯਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਹਣਾ ॥
sool suraahee khanjar piyaalaa bing kasaaeeyaan daa sahanaa |The flask is like the spike, the cup is like a dagger and (the separation) is like enduring the chopper of the butchers,
ਯਾਰੜੇ ਦਾ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਸਥਰੁ ਚੰਗਾ ਭਠ ਖੇੜਿਆ ਦਾ ਰਹਣਾ ॥੧॥੧॥੬॥
yaararre daa saanoo sathar changaa bhatth kherriaa daa rahanaa |1|1|6|The pallet of the beloved Friend is most pleasing and the worldly pleasures are like furnace.1.1
ਤਿਲੰਗ ਕਾਫੀ ਪਾਤਿਸਾਹੀ ੧੦ ॥
tilang kaafee paatisaahee 10 |TILNG KAFI OF THE TENTH KING
ਕੇਵਲ ਕਾਲਈ ਕਰਤਾਰ ॥
keval kaalee karataar |The supreme Destroyer is alone the Creator,
ਆਦਿ ਅੰਤ ਅਨੰਤ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਗੜ੍ਹਨ ਭੰਜਨਹਾਰ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
aad ant anant moorat garrhan bhanjanahaar |1| rahaau |He is in the beginning and in the end, He is the infinite entity, the Creator and the Destroyer…Pause.
ਨਿੰਦ ਉਸਤਤ ਜਉਨ ਕੇ ਸਮ ਸਤ੍ਰ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥
nind usatat jaun ke sam satr mitr na koe |The calumny and Praise are equal to him and he has no friend, no foe,
ਕਉਨ ਬਾਟ ਪਰੀ ਤਿਸੈ ਪਥ ਸਾਰਥੀ ਰਥ ਹੋਇ ॥੧॥
kaun baatt paree tisai path saarathee rath hoe |1|Of what crucial necessity, He became the charioteer ?1.
ਤਾਤ ਮਾਤ ਨ ਜਾਤਿ ਜਾਕਰ ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਪੌਤ੍ਰ ਮੁਕੰਦ ॥
taat maat na jaat jaakar putr pauatr mukand |He, the Giver of salvation, has no father, no mother, no son and no grandson
ਕਉਨ ਕਾਜ ਕਹਾਹਿਂਗੇ ਆਨ ਦੇਵਕਿ ਨੰਦ ॥੨॥
kaun kaaj kahaahinge aan devak nand |2|O what necessity he caused others to call Him the son of Devaki ?2.
ਦੇਵ ਦੈਤ ਦਿਸਾ ਵਿਸਾ ਜਿਹ ਕੀਨ ਸਰਬ ਪਸਾਰ ॥
dev dait disaa visaa jih keen sarab pasaar |He, who has created gods, demons, directions and the whole expanse,
ਕਉਨ ਉਪਮਾ ਤੌਨ ਕੋ ਮੁਖ ਲੇਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਮੁਰਾਰ ॥੩॥੧॥੭॥
kaun upamaa tauan ko mukh let naam muraar |3|1|7|On what analogy should he be called Murar? 3.
ਰਾਗ ਬਿਲਾਵਲ ਪਾਤਿਸਾਹੀ ੧੦ ॥

ਸੋ ਕਿਮ ਮਾਨਸ ਰੂਪ ਕਹਾਏ ॥

ਸਿਧ ਸਮਾਧ ਸਾਧ ਕਰ ਹਾਰੇ ਕ੍ਯੋਹੂੰ ਨ ਦੇਖਨ ਪਾਏ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
sidh samaadh saadh kar haare kayohoon na dekhan paae |1| rahaau |The Siddha (adept) in deep meditation became tired of the discipline on not seeing Him in any way…..Pause.
ਨਾਰਦ ਬਿਆਸ ਪਰਾਸਰ ਧ੍ਰੂਅ ਸੇ ਧਿਆਵਤ ਧਿਆਨ ਲਗਾਏ ॥
naarad biaas paraasar dhraooa se dhiaavat dhiaan lagaae |Narad, Vyas, Prashar, Dhru, all meditated on Him,
ਬੇਦ ਪੁਰਾਨ ਹਾਰ ਹਠ ਛਾਡਿਓ ਤਦਪਿ ਧਿਆਨ ਨ ਆਏ ॥੧॥
bed puraan haar hatth chhaaddio tadap dhiaan na aae |1|The Vedas and Puranas, became tired and forsook insistence, since He could not be visualized.1.
ਦਾਨਵ ਦੇਵ ਪਿਸਾਚ ਪ੍ਰੇਤ ਤੇ ਨੇਤਹ ਨੇਤ ਕਹਾਏ ॥
daanav dev pisaach pret te netah net kahaae |By demons, gods, ghosts, spirits, He was called indescribable,
ਸੂਛਮ ਤੇ ਸੂਛਮ ਕਰ ਚੀਨੇ ਬ੍ਰਿਧਨ ਬ੍ਰਿਧ ਬਤਾਏ ॥੨॥
