ਪਕਰਿ ਲਈ ਦੂਸਰਿ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਜਾਇ ॥
pakar lee doosar triy jaae |And the other went and caught him.
ਦ੍ਵੈ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਜੋਗ ਭੇਸ ਕੌ ਧਰਿ ਕੈ ॥
dvai triy jog bhes kau dhar kai |Two women disguised as Jog
ਗਈ ਭੂਪ ਕੋ ਚਰਿਤ ਬਿਚਰਿ ਕੈ ॥੫॥
gee bhoop ko charit bichar kai |5|And she went to the king thinking of making a character. 5.
ਭੂਪ ਕਹਾ ਸੂਰੀ ਇਹ ਦੀਜੈ ॥
bhoop kahaa sooree ih deejai |The king said, crucify him.
ਤੀਨੋ ਹੁਕਮ ਹਮਾਰੇ ਲੀਜੈ ॥
teeno hukam hamaare leejai |All three of you obey my command.
ਹਨਨਨਾਤ ਲੈ ਤਾਹੀ ਸਿਧਾਰੇ ॥
hanananaat lai taahee sidhaare |When he was taken to kill him ('Hannanat' Hanan meaning).
ਦ੍ਵੈ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਅਤਿਥ ਪਧਾਰੇ ॥੬॥
dvai isatree hvai atith padhaare |6|So the two women who became jogis came there. 6.
ਜੋਗਿਨਿ ਨਾਰਿ ਕਹਾ ਅਸ ਕੀਜੈ ॥
jogin naar kahaa as keejai |The women who became jogis said to do like this.
ਦ੍ਵੈ ਮਹਿ ਇਕ ਜੋਗੀ ਕਹ ਦੀਜੈ ॥
dvai meh ik jogee kah deejai |(Fansi Asan) Give one of the two Jogis.
ਐਹੈ ਇਹਾ ਅਰਸ ਕੀ ਬਾਤਾ ॥
aaihai ihaa aras kee baataa |There are talks of Arsh (Heaven) here.
ਜਾਨਤ ਕੋਈ ਨ ਤਾ ਕੀ ਘਾਤਾ ॥੭॥
jaanat koee na taa kee ghaataa |7|No one was understanding their trick.7.
ਦੁਤਿਯ ਨਾਰ ਇਮਿ ਬਚਨ ਉਚਾਰੇ ॥
dutiy naar im bachan uchaare |The other woman said this
ਯਾਹਿ ਨ ਸੂਰੀ ਦੇਹੁ ਕਹਾਰੇ ॥
yaeh na sooree dehu kahaare |That O Kahar (executioner)! Don't nail it.
ਸੂਰੀ ਏਕ ਅਤਿਥ ਕੋ ਦੀਜੈ ॥
sooree ek atith ko deejai |Give the cross to a saint
ਤਸਕਰ ਦੂਰ ਇਹਾ ਤੇ ਕੀਜੈ ॥੮॥
tasakar door ihaa te keejai |8|And remove the thief from here.8.
ਚਲੀ ਖਬਰਿ ਆਵੈ ਇਹ ਕਹਾ ॥
chalee khabar aavai ih kahaa |This news reached there
ਬੈਠਿ ਬਿਦਾਦ ਨਰਾਧਿਪ ਜਹਾ ॥
baitth bidaad naraadhip jahaa |Where Bidad San Raja was sitting.
ਅੰਧ ਨਗਰ ਕੇ ਤੀਰ ਲੋਗ ਸਭ ॥
andh nagar ke teer log sabh |All the people near that Andh Nagar
ਅਛਰ ਕਛੁ ਨ ਪੜੈ ਤਿਨ ਗਰਧਭ ॥੯॥
achhar kachh na parrai tin garadhabh |9|No letters were read like donkeys. 9.
ਔਰ ਕਛੂ ਜਾਨੈ ਨਹਿ ਬਾਤਾ ॥
aauar kachhoo jaanai neh baataa |They did not understand anything else
ਮਹਾ ਪਸੂ ਮੂਰਖ ਬਿਖ੍ਯਾਤਾ ॥
mahaa pasoo moorakh bikhayaataa |And were famous as Maha Pashu and Fool.
ਇਹ ਧੁਨਿ ਪਰੀ ਕਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੇ ਜਬ ॥
eih dhun paree kaan prabh ke jab |When the king heard this news
ਨਿਰਖਨ ਚਲਾ ਅਤਿਥਹਿ ਦ੍ਵੈ ਤਬ ॥੧੦॥
nirakhan chalaa atitheh dvai tab |10|So he went to see the two saints. 10.
ਦਰਸ ਕਿਯਾ ਤਿਨ ਕੋ ਜਬ ਜਾਈ ॥
daras kiyaa tin ko jab jaaee |When he went and visited them
ਬਚਨ ਕਿਯਾ ਭੂਪਤਿ ਮੁਸਕਾਈ ॥
bachan kiyaa bhoopat musakaaee |Then the king laughed and spoke.
ਤੁਮ ਸੂਰੀ ਕਾਰਨ ਕਿਹ ਲੇਹੁ ॥
tum sooree kaaran kih lehu |Why do you take the cross?
ਸੋ ਮੁਹਿ ਭੇਦ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰਿ ਦੇਹੁ ॥੧੧॥
so muhi bhed kripaa kar dehu |11|Please tell me that secret. 11.
ਹੋ ਹਮ ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕਿਯ ਪਾਤਾ ॥
ho ham janam janam kiy paataa |(They replied) We have committed the sins of births and generations.
ਯਾ ਪਰ ਚੜਤ ਹੋਹਿ ਸਭ ਘਾਤਾ ॥
yaa par charrat hohi sabh ghaataa |By climbing the cross all (sins) will be destroyed.
ਯਾ ਪਰ ਬਾਤ ਸ੍ਵਰਗ ਕੀ ਐਹੈ ॥
yaa par baat svarag kee aaihai |Heaven will be attained on it
ਆਵਾ ਗਵਨ ਤੁਰਤ ਮਿਟਿ ਜੈਹੈ ॥੧੨॥
aavaa gavan turat mitt jaihai |12|And the movement will disappear immediately. 12.
ਜਬ ਰਾਜੈ ਐਸੋ ਸੁਨਿ ਪਾਈ ॥
jab raajai aaiso sun paaee |When the king heard this,
ਚਿਤ ਚੜਬੇ ਕੀ ਬਿਵਤ ਬਨਾਈ ॥
chit charrabe kee bivat banaaee |So he made a plan to climb (himself on the cross) in Chit.
ਅਵਰ ਲੋਗ ਸਭ ਦਏ ਹਟਾਇ ॥
avar log sabh de hattaae |All others removed
ਆਪੁ ਚੜਾ ਸੂਰੀ ਪਰ ਜਾਇ ॥੧੩॥
aap charraa sooree par jaae |13|And he himself went to the cross. 13.
ਭੂਪ ਚੜਤ ਜੋਗੀ ਭਜਿ ਗਏ ॥
bhoop charrat jogee bhaj ge |As soon as the king was crucified, the Jogis fled.
ਕਹੂੰ ਦੁਰੇ ਜਨਿਯਤ ਨਹਿ ਭਏ ॥
kahoon dure janiyat neh bhe |No one could find out where he was hiding.
ਧਰਿ ਇਸਤ੍ਰਿਨ ਕੇ ਰੂਪ ਅਪਾਰਾ ॥
dhar isatrin ke roop apaaraa |They assumed the full form of women
ਮਿਲਗੇ ਤਾ ਹੀ ਨਗਰ ਮੰਝਾਰਾ ॥੧੪॥
milage taa hee nagar manjhaaraa |14|And there they met in the city. 14.
ਇਹ ਛਲ ਅਨ੍ਰਯਾਈ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਮਾਰਿ ॥
eih chhal anrayaaee nrip maar |By killing the unjust king with this trick
ਦੇਸ ਬਸਾਯੋ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਸੁਧਾਰਿ ॥
des basaayo bahur sudhaar |Repopulated the country well.
ਅੰਧ ਨਗਰ ਕਛੁ ਬਾਤ ਨ ਪਾਈ ॥
andh nagar kachh baat na paaee |People of Andh Nagar did not understand any secrets
ਇਹ ਛਲ ਹਨਾ ਹਮਾਰਾ ਰਾਈ ॥੧੫॥
eih chhal hanaa hamaaraa raaee |15|That our king has been killed with this character. 15.
ਇਤਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਪਖ੍ਯਾਨੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਾ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰੇ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੀ ਭੂਪ ਸੰਬਾਦੇ ਤੀਨ ਸੌ ਸਤਸਠ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਸਮਾਪਤਮ ਸਤੁ ਸੁਭਮ ਸਤੁ ॥੩੬੭॥੬੬੭੮॥ਅਫਜੂੰ॥
eit sree charitr pakhayaane triyaa charitre mantree bhoop sanbaade teen sau satasatth charitr samaapatam sat subham sat |367|6678|afajoon|Here ends the 367th charitra of Mantri Bhup Sambad of Tria Charitra of Sri Charitropakhyan, all is auspicious.367.6678. goes on

ਗੜ ਕਨੌਜ ਕੌ ਜਹਾ ਕਹਿਜੈ ॥
garr kanauaj kau jahaa kahijai |Where the fort of Kanauj is said to be,
ਅਭੈ ਸਿੰਘ ਤਹ ਭੂਪ ਭਨਿਜੈ ॥
abhai singh tah bhoop bhanijai |A king named Abhay Singh ruled there.
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਚਖੁ ਚਾਰ ਮਤੀ ਤਿਹ ਨਾਰੀ ॥
sree chakh chaar matee tih naaree |Chakhuchar Mati was his wife.
