ਅਤਿ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਅਬਿਕਾਰ ਅਚਲ ਅਨਖੰਡ ਅਕਟ ਭਟ ॥
at pavitr abikaar achal anakhandd akatt bhatt |

Ati Pavitra 'Abikar' (of the name) is an unbroken and unbroken warrior.

ਅਮਿਤ ਓਜ ਅਨਮਿਟ ਅਨੰਤ ਅਛਲਿ ਰਣਾਕਟ ॥
amit oj anamitt anant achhal ranaakatt |

He is extremely immaculate, vice-less, invariable, indivisible and invincible warrior, whose glory is infinite and who is unconquerable and never deceivable,

ਧਰ ਅਸਤ੍ਰ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਸਾਮੁਹ ਸਮਰ ਜਿਦਿਨ ਨ੍ਰਿਪੋਤਮ ਗਰਜਿ ਹੈ ॥
dhar asatr sasatr saamuh samar jidin nripotam garaj hai |

By wearing weapons and armor, O excellent king! (When) he roars forth in battle,

ਟਿਕਿ ਹੈ ਇਕ ਭਟ ਨਹਿ ਸਮਰਿ ਅਉਰ ਕਵਣ ਤਬ ਬਰਜਿ ਹੈ ॥੨੪੨॥
ttik hai ik bhatt neh samar aaur kavan tab baraj hai |242|

O king! on the day, then holding his arms and weapons, he will thunder, then no one will be able to stay before him and even obstruct him.15.242.

ਇਕਿ ਬਿਦਿਆ ਅਰੁ ਲਾਜ ਅਮਿਟ ਅਤਿ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪ ਰਣਿ ॥
eik bidiaa ar laaj amitt at hee prataap ran |

Vidya (learning) and Lajja (modesty) are also extremely glorious

ਭੀਮ ਰੂਪ ਭੈਰੋ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ਅਮਿਟ ਅਦਾਹਣ ॥
bheem roop bhairo prachandd amitt adaahan |

They are large-bodies, powerful and indestructible

ਅਤਿ ਅਖੰਡ ਅਡੰਡ ਚੰਡ ਪਰਤਾਪ ਰਣਾਚਲ ॥
at akhandd addandd chandd parataap ranaachal |

Their glory is extremely strong and indivisible

ਬ੍ਰਿਖਭ ਕੰਧ ਆਜਾਨ ਬਾਹ ਬਾਨੈਤ ਮਹਾਬਲਿ ॥
brikhabh kandh aajaan baah baanait mahaabal |

They are mighty ones, long-armed and broad-shouldered like a bull

ਇਹ ਛਬਿ ਅਪਾਰ ਜੋਧਾ ਜੁਗਲ ਜਿਦਿਨ ਨਿਸਾਨ ਬਜਾਇ ਹੈ ॥
eih chhab apaar jodhaa jugal jidin nisaan bajaae hai |

In this way, the two warriors have a great image, on the day (in the battlefield) they will sound the trumpet,

ਭਜਿ ਹੈ ਭੂਪ ਤਜਿ ਲਾਜ ਸਭ ਏਕ ਨ ਸਾਮੁਹਿ ਆਇ ਹੈ ॥੨੪੩॥
bhaj hai bhoop taj laaj sabh ek na saamuhi aae hai |243|

In this way, the day on which these two warriors, they will sound their trumpet, then all the kings, forsaking their modesty will run away and none of them will confront them.16.243.

NARAAJ STANZA

ਸੰਜੋਗ ਨਾਮ ਸੂਰਮਾ ਅਖੰਡ ਏਕ ਜਾਨੀਐ ॥
sanjog naam sooramaa akhandd ek jaaneeai |

A single hero called 'Sanjog' is known,

ਸੁ ਧਾਮਿ ਧਾਮਿ ਜਾਸ ਕੋ ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪ ਆਜ ਮਾਨੀਐ ॥
su dhaam dhaam jaas ko prataap aaj maaneeai |

There is one warriors named Sanjog (coherence), who is considered glorious in every home

ਅਡੰਡ ਔ ਅਛੇਦ ਹੈ ਅਭੰਗ ਤਾਸੁ ਭਾਖੀਐ ॥
addandd aau achhed hai abhang taas bhaakheeai |

He is called unpunishable, invincible and fearless

ਬਿਚਾਰ ਆਜ ਤਉਨ ਸੋ ਜੁਝਾਰ ਕਉਨ ਰਾਖੀਐ ॥੨੪੪॥
bichaar aaj taun so jujhaar kaun raakheeai |244|

What description be given about him ? 17.244

ਅਖੰਡ ਮੰਡਲੀਕ ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ਬੀਰ ਦੇਖੀਐ ॥
akhandd manddaleek so prachandd beer dekheeai |

There is another powerful warrior seen in this sphere of stars

ਸੁਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮ ਸੂਰਮਾ ਅਜਿਤ ਤਾਸੁ ਲੇਖੀਐ ॥
sukrit naam sooramaa ajit taas lekheeai |

His name is Sukriti (good deed) and he is considered unconquerable

ਗਰਜਿ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਸਜਿ ਕੈ ਸਲਜਿ ਰਥ ਧਾਇ ਹੈ ॥
garaj sasatr saj kai salaj rath dhaae hai |

(When) armed and brazen, he will charge with a chariot without shame,

ਅਮੰਡ ਮਾਰਤੰਡ ਜ੍ਯੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ਸੋਭ ਪਾਇ ਹੈ ॥੨੪੫॥
amandd maaratandd jayon prachandd sobh paae hai |245|

When he comes out thundering bedecked with his weapons and mounted on his chariot, then he looks supremely glorious like the sun.18.245.

ਬਿਸੇਖ ਬਾਣ ਸੈਹਥੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨ ਪਾਣਿ ਸਜਿ ਹੈ ॥
bisekh baan saihathee kripaan paan saj hai |

Especially (one who) holds an arrow, a spear, a sword in his hand.

ਅਮੋਹ ਨਾਮ ਸੂਰਮਾ ਸਰੋਹ ਆਨਿ ਗਜ ਹੈ ॥
amoh naam sooramaa saroh aan gaj hai |

Holding his special arrow, sword etc., when this warrior named Amodh (Detachment) will thunder,

ਅਲੋਭ ਨਾਮ ਸੂਰਮਾ ਦੁਤੀਅ ਜੋ ਗਰਜਿ ਹੈ ॥
alobh naam sooramaa duteea jo garaj hai |

The second hero, named Alobha, (also) thunders.

ਰਥੀ ਗਜੀ ਹਈ ਪਤੀ ਅਪਾਰ ਸੈਣ ਭਜਿ ਹੈ ॥੨੪੬॥
rathee gajee hee patee apaar sain bhaj hai |246|

And when he will be accompanied by the second thundering warriors Alobh, then infinite forces of the riders of chariots, elephants and horses will run away.19.246.

ਹਠੀ ਜਪੀ ਤਪੀ ਸਤੀ ਅਖੰਡ ਬੀਰ ਦੇਖੀਐ ॥
hatthee japee tapee satee akhandd beer dekheeai |

(Which) Hathi, Japi, Tapi, Sati and Akhand warriors are seen.

ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ਮਾਰਤੰਡ ਜ੍ਯੋਂ ਅਡੰਡ ਤਾਸੁ ਲੇਖੀਐ ॥
prachandd maaratandd jayon addandd taas lekheeai |

You may see many warriors, lustrous and unpunishable like the sun, who may be persistent ones, worshippers, ascetics and truthful ones

ਅਜਿਤਿ ਜਉਨ ਜਗਤ ਤੇ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਅੰਗ ਜਾਨੀਐ ॥
ajit jaun jagat te pavitr ang jaaneeai |

Those who are incorruptible in the world, (they) are considered to have holy organs (body).

ਅਕਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਸੂਰਮਾ ਭਿਰਾਮ ਤਾਸੁ ਮਾਨੀਐ ॥੨੪੭॥
akaam naam sooramaa bhiraam taas maaneeai |247|

But this unconquerable and pure-limbed warriors is Akaam (desireless).20.247.

ਅਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਜੋਧ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਕੈ ਬਿਰੋਧ ਸਜਿ ਹੈ ਜਬੈ ॥
akrodh jodh krodh kai birodh saj hai jabai |

'Akrodha' (named) warrior when angry will go to 'Birodh' (war)

ਬਿਸਾਰਿ ਲਾਜ ਸੂਰਮਾ ਅਪਾਰ ਭਾਜਿ ਹੈ ਸਭੈ ॥
bisaar laaj sooramaa apaar bhaaj hai sabhai |

When this warrior named Akrodh (peaceful) will be there in the battlefield in this fury, then all the fighters, forgetting their modesty, will run away

ਅਖੰਡ ਦੇਹਿ ਜਾਸ ਕੀ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ਰੂਪ ਜਾਨੀਐ ॥
akhandd dehi jaas kee prachandd roop jaaneeai |

Whose body is intact and is known to be of great form,

ਸੁ ਲਜ ਨਾਮ ਸੂਰਮਾ ਸੁ ਮੰਤ੍ਰਿ ਤਾਸੁ ਮਾਨੀਐ ॥੨੪੮॥
su laj naam sooramaa su mantr taas maaneeai |248|

He is the same warrior whose body is indivisible, whose form is powerful and who is modest.21.248.

ਸੁ ਪਰਮ ਤਤ ਆਦਿ ਦੈ ਨਿਰਾਹੰਕਾਰ ਗਰਜਿ ਹੈ ॥
su param tat aad dai niraahankaar garaj hai |

From 'Param Tatt' (warrior) to 'Nirhankar' (including) will be heard.

ਬਿਸੇਖ ਤੋਰ ਸੈਨ ਤੇ ਅਸੇਖ ਬੀਰ ਬਰਜਿ ਹੈ ॥
bisekh tor sain te asekh beer baraj hai |

When this ego-less warrior of the supreme essence will thunder, he will especially destroy army and will oppose many fighters

ਸਰੋਖ ਸੈਹਥੀਨ ਲੈ ਅਮੋਘ ਜੋਧ ਜੁਟਿ ਹੈ ॥
sarokh saihatheen lai amogh jodh jutt hai |

The warriors will be enraged and will join the battle (armed) with mighty spears.

ਅਸੇਖ ਬੀਰ ਕਾਰਮਾਦਿ ਕ੍ਰੂਰ ਕਉਚ ਤੁਟ ਹੈ ॥੨੪੯॥
asekh beer kaaramaad kraoor kauch tutt hai |249|

Many warriors getting together, taking their unfailing weapons will encounter him in great fury and many warriors, the bows and the dreadful armours will break up.22.249.

NARAAJ STANZA

ਸਭਗਤਿ ਏਕ ਭਾਵਨਾ ਸੁ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਸੂਰ ਧਾਇ ਹੈ ॥
sabhagat ek bhaavanaa su krodh soor dhaae hai |

A spirited 'Bhagati' (named) warrior storms out in anger.

ਅਸੇਖ ਮਾਰਤੰਡ ਜ੍ਯੋਂ ਬਿਸੇਖ ਸੋਭ ਪਾਇ ਹੈ ॥
asekh maaratandd jayon bisekh sobh paae hai |

All the warriors will emotionally get enraged will fall upon the enemy and look magnificent like many suns

ਸੰਘਾਰਿ ਸੈਣ ਸਤ੍ਰੁਵੀ ਜੁਝਾਰ ਜੋਧ ਜੁਟਿ ਹੈ ॥
sanghaar sain satruvee jujhaar jodh jutt hai |

The warriors will join hands to destroy the forces of the enemies

ਕਰੂਰ ਕੂਰ ਸੂਰਮਾ ਤਰਕ ਤੰਗ ਤੁਟਿ ਹੈ ॥੨੫੦॥
karoor koor sooramaa tarak tang tutt hai |250|

They will break up the forces constituting the tyrannical fighters.23.250.

ਸਿਮਟਿ ਸੂਰ ਸੈਹਥੀ ਸਰਕਿ ਸਾਗ ਸੇਲ ਹੈ ॥
simatt soor saihathee sarak saag sel hai |

(They) the warriors, with their swords and spears in motion, move (forward).

ਦੁਰੰਤ ਘਾਇ ਝਾਲਿ ਕੈ ਅਨੰਤ ਸੈਣ ਪੇਲਿ ਹੈ ॥
durant ghaae jhaal kai anant sain pel hai |

The warriors after stepping back will strike their lances and enduring the anguish of many wounds, they will kill innumerable forces

ਤਮਕਿ ਤੇਗ ਦਾਮਿਣੀ ਸੜਕਿ ਸੂਰ ਮਟਿ ਹੈ ॥
tamak teg daaminee sarrak soor matt hai |

Swords of lightening like lightning, the warriors march on ('Mati').

ਨਿਪਟਿ ਕਟਿ ਕੁਟਿ ਕੈ ਅਕਟ ਅੰਗ ਸਟਿ ਹੈ ॥੨੫੧॥
nipatt katt kutt kai akatt ang satt hai |251|

The sword flashing like lightning will create sensation amongst warriors and will chop and throw away their limbs.24.251.

ਨਿਪਟਿ ਸਿੰਘ ਜ੍ਯੋਂ ਪਲਟਿ ਸੂਰ ਸੇਲ ਬਾਹਿ ਹੈ ॥
nipatt singh jayon palatt soor sel baeh hai |

Just like a lion, the warriors throw their spears.

ਬਿਸੇਖ ਬੂਥਨੀਸ ਕੀ ਅਸੇਖ ਸੈਣ ਗਾਹਿ ਹੈ ॥
bisekh boothanees kee asekh sain gaeh hai |

Turning like lions, the warriors will strike lances and will churn the army of the chief generals

ਅਰੁਝਿ ਬੀਰ ਅਪ ਮਝਿ ਗਝਿ ਆਨਿ ਜੁਝਿ ਹੈ ॥
arujh beer ap majh gajh aan jujh hai |

Warriors with gutham ('Gajhi') come and fight among themselves.

ਬਿਸੇਖ ਦੇਵ ਦਈਤ ਜਛ ਕਿੰਨਰ ਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਬੁਝਿ ਹੈ ॥੨੫੨॥
bisekh dev deet jachh kinar krit bujh hai |252|

The warriors mutually moving away at a distance, will come to fight with the enemy’s forces in such a way that the gods, demons, Yakshas, Kinnars etc. will not recognize them.25.252.
