ਜਿਹ ਸਮਾਨ ਭੀ ਔਰ ਨ ਬਾਮਾ ॥
jih samaan bhee aauar na baamaa |There was no other woman like her.
ਸੋ ਕਾਰੂੰ ਕੀ ਛਬਿ ਲਖਿ ਅਟਿਕੀ ॥
so kaaroon kee chhab lakh attikee |She was stunned by the beauty of Karun (King).
ਬਿਸਰਿ ਗਈ ਸਭ ਹੀ ਸੁਧਿ ਘਟ ਕੀ ॥੩॥
bisar gee sabh hee sudh ghatt kee |3|He forgot all the pure wisdom of (his) body. 3.

ਸਖੀ ਸੁਭੂਖਨ ਦੇ ਤਹ ਦਈ ਪਠਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
sakhee subhookhan de tah dee patthaae kai |A Sakhi named Subhukhan (Dei) was sent there
ਮੋਰੀ ਕਹੀ ਸਜਨ ਸੌ ਕਹਿਯਹੁ ਜਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
moree kahee sajan sau kahiyahu jaae kai |(And said that) go and tell the gentleman what I have said.
ਪ੍ਰਣਤਿ ਹਮਾਰੀ ਮੀਤ ਕਹਾ ਸੁਨਿ ਲੀਜਿਯੈ ॥
pranat hamaaree meet kahaa sun leejiyai |(And also) saying, O friend! Hear my plea.
ਹੋ ਜਸਿ ਤਵ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਏਕ ਦੁਤਿਯ ਮੁਹਿ ਕੀਜਿਯੈ ॥੪॥
ho jas tav triy grih ek dutiy muhi keejiyai |4|If you have one woman in your house, keep me as the second one. 4.

ਕੁਅਰਿ ਕੁਅਰਿ ਕੀ ਬਾਤ ਬਖਾਨੀ ॥
kuar kuar kee baat bakhaanee |The woman (maid) talked about Raj Kumari.
ਰਾਜ ਕੁਅਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਏਕ ਨ ਮਾਨੀ ॥
raaj kuar kar ek na maanee |(But the king) did not accept Raj Kumari's one.
ਇਮਿ ਸਖਿ ਜਾਇ ਤਾਹਿ ਸੁਧਿ ਦਈ ॥
eim sakh jaae taeh sudh dee |All the news of this (the maid) went to Raj Kumari,
ਕੁਅਰਿ ਬਸੰਤ ਰਿਸਾਕੁਲ ਭਈ ॥੫॥
kuar basant risaakul bhee |5|Then Basant Kumari became distraught with anger. 5.
ਤਤਛਿਨ ਸੁਰੰਗ ਧਾਮ ਨਿਜੁ ਦਈ ॥
tatachhin surang dhaam nij dee |(Then he) immediately made a tunnel in his house
ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਕੇ ਸਦਨ ਨਿਕਾਰਤ ਭਈ ॥
nrip ke sadan nikaarat bhee |And went to the king's palace.
ਚਾਲਿਸ ਗੰਜ ਦਰਬ ਕੇ ਜੇਤੇ ॥
chaalis ganj darab ke jete |As many as forty treasures of wealth,
ਨਿਜੁ ਆਲੈ ਰਾਖੇ ਲੈ ਤੇਤੇ ॥੬॥
nij aalai raakhe lai tete |6|He brought only those and kept them in his house. 6.
ਮੂੜ ਭੂਪ ਕਛੁ ਬਾਤ ਨ ਪਾਈ ॥
moorr bhoop kachh baat na paaee |The foolish king did not understand anything
ਕਿਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਧਨ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਲਿਯਾ ਚੁਰਾਈ ॥
kih bidh dhan triy liyaa churaaee |How the woman stole the money.
ਛੋਰਿ ਭੰਡਾਰ ਬਿਲੋਕੈ ਕਹਾ ॥
chhor bhanddaar bilokai kahaa |What did you see after opening the store?
ਪੈਸਾ ਏਕ ਨ ਧਨ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਰਹਾ ॥੭॥
paisaa ek na dhan grih rahaa |7|That there is not even a penny of money left in the house. 7.

ਅਧਿਕ ਦੁਖਿਤ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਲੋਗਨ ਲਿਯਾ ਬੁਲਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
adhik dukhit hvai logan liyaa bulaae kai |Being very sad, (the king) called the people
ਭਾਤਿ ਭਾਤਿ ਤਿਨ ਪ੍ਰਤਿ ਕਹ ਦੂਖ ਬਨਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
bhaat bhaat tin prat kah dookh banaae kai |And being sad, he told the people in various ways to say,
ਐਸਾ ਕਵਨ ਕੁਕਰਮ ਕਹੋ ਹਮ ਤੇ ਭਯੋ ॥
aaisaa kavan kukaram kaho ham te bhayo |What misdeed has been done by me?
ਹੋ ਜਿਹ ਕਾਰਨ ਤੇ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਚਾਲਿਸ ਕਾ ਧਨ ਗਯੋ ॥੮॥
ho jih kaaran te grih chaalis kaa dhan gayo |8|Due to which the wealth of forty treasures has gone. 8.

ਸਭ ਲੋਗਨ ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਬਿਚਾਰੀ ॥
sabh logan ih bhaat bichaaree |All people thought so
ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਰਾਵ ਕੇ ਸਾਥ ਉਚਾਰੀ ॥
pragatt raav ke saath uchaaree |And plainly said to the king,
ਦਾਨ ਪੁੰਨ੍ਯ ਤੈ ਕਛੂ ਨ ਦਯੋ ॥
daan punay tai kachhoo na dayo |You have done nothing charitable,
ਤਿਹ ਤੇ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਕੋ ਸਭ ਧਨ ਗਯੋ ॥੯॥
tih te grih ko sabh dhan gayo |9|Therefore, all the wealth of the house has gone. 9.
ਸੁਨਿ ਜੁਹਾਕੁ ਪਾਯੋ ਇਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਜਬ ॥
sun juhaak paayo ih bidh jab |When Juhak (the king) heard thus,
ਧਾਵਤ ਭਲੋ ਅਮਿਤ ਲੈ ਦਲ ਤਬ ॥
dhaavat bhalo amit lai dal tab |Then he came with a large army.
ਛੀਨਿ ਲਈ ਤਾ ਕੀ ਸਭ ਸਾਹੀ ॥
chheen lee taa kee sabh saahee |Took away all his kingdom
ਕੁਅਰਿ ਬਸੰਤ ਨਾਰਿ ਕਰ ਬ੍ਯਾਹੀ ॥੧੦॥
kuar basant naar kar bayaahee |10|And he married Basant Kumari and made him his wife. 10.
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥

ਇਹ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਤਿਨ ਚੰਚਲਾ ਸਕਲ ਦਰਬ ਹਰਿ ਲੀਨ ॥
eih charitr tin chanchalaa sakal darab har leen |That woman lost all the money by doing this character.
ਇਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਕੈ ਕਾਰੂੰ ਹਨਾ ਨਾਥ ਜੁਹਾਕਹਿ ਕੀਨ ॥੧੧॥
eih bidh kai kaaroon hanaa naath juhaakeh keen |11|In this way he killed Karu (King) and made Juhak his husband. 11.

ਲੋਗ ਆਜੁ ਲਗਿ ਬਾਤ ਨ ਜਾਨਤ ॥
log aaj lag baat na jaanat |People still do not know the real thing
ਗੜਾ ਗੰਜ ਆਜੁ ਲੌ ਬਖਾਨਤ ॥
garraa ganj aaj lau bakhaanat |And till now the treasure is said to be suppressed.
ਐਸੇ ਚਰਿਤ ਚੰਚਲਾ ਕਰਾ ॥
aaise charit chanchalaa karaa |The lady did such a character.
ਕਾਰੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਜੁਹਾਕਹਿ ਬਰਾ ॥੧੨॥
kaaroon maar juhaakeh baraa |12|Killed Karun and took Juhak. 12.
ਇਤਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਪਖ੍ਯਾਨੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਾ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰੇ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੀ ਭੂਪ ਸੰਬਾਦੇ ਚਾਰ ਸੌ ਇਕ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਸਮਾਪਤਮ ਸਤੁ ਸੁਭਮ ਸਤੁ ॥੪੦੧॥੭੦੯੪॥ਅਫਜੂੰ॥
eit sree charitr pakhayaane triyaa charitre mantree bhoop sanbaade chaar sau ik charitr samaapatam sat subham sat |401|7094|afajoon|Here ends the 401st chapter of Mantri Bhup Samvad of Tria Charitra of Sri Charitropakhyan, all is auspicious. 401.7094. goes on
