ਦਓਜਈ ਅਫਰੀਦੀਏ ਕੋਪਿ ਆਏ ॥
dojee afareedee kop aae |Guiyes, Muhamadees, Dyojis and Afreedis came forward with extreme fury.
ਹਠੇ ਸੂਰ ਲੋਦੀ ਮਹਾ ਕੋਪ ਕੈ ਕੈ ॥
hatthe soor lodee mahaa kop kai kai |Hati Lodi Surme by being very angry
ਪਰੇ ਆਨਿ ਕੈ ਬਾਢਵਾਰੀਨ ਲੈ ਕੈ ॥੧੫॥
pare aan kai baadtavaareen lai kai |15|Brave Lodhis were awfully enraged and fell upon, brandishing their swords.(15)

ਪਰੀ ਬਾਢਵਾਰੀਨ ਕੀ ਮਾਰਿ ਭਾਰੀ ॥
paree baadtavaareen kee maar bhaaree |There is a heavy blow of swords.
ਗਏ ਜੂਝਿ ਜੋਧਾ ਬਡੇਈ ਹੰਕਾਰੀ ॥
ge joojh jodhaa baddeee hankaaree |Big, big, arrogant jodhas have been killed.
ਮਹਾ ਮਾਰਿ ਬਾਨਨ ਕੀ ਗਾੜ ਐਸੀ ॥
mahaa maar baanan kee gaarr aaisee |The arrows hit so hard,
ਮਨੌ ਕੁਆਰ ਕੇ ਮੇਘ ਕੀ ਬ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਜੈਸੀ ॥੧੬॥
manau kuaar ke megh kee brisatt jaisee |16|As if it is raining like the month of Asu. 16.
ਪਰੇ ਆਨਿ ਜੋਧਾ ਚਹੂੰ ਓਰ ਭਾਰੇ ॥
pare aan jodhaa chahoon or bhaare |Many more warriors have come from all four sides.
ਮਹਾ ਮਾਰ ਹੀ ਮਾਰਿ ਐਸੇ ਪੁਕਾਰੇ ॥
mahaa maar hee maar aaise pukaare |Maro-maro' are thus making (saying a lot) noise.
ਹਟੇ ਨਾਹਿ ਛਤ੍ਰੀ ਛਕੇ ਛੋਭ ਐਸੇ ॥
hatte naeh chhatree chhake chhobh aaise |Chhatris do not shy away from war, they have such enthusiasm.
ਮਨੋ ਸਾਚ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕਾਲ ਕੀ ਜ੍ਵਾਲ ਜੈਸੇ ॥੧੭॥
mano saach sree kaal kee jvaal jaise |17|As if the real flood (flood) is the flame of the time. 17.
ਧਏ ਅਰਬ ਆਛੇ ਮਹਾ ਸੂਰ ਭਾਰੀ ॥
dhe arab aachhe mahaa soor bhaaree |The good and great heroes of the Arab country have gone
ਕਰੈ ਤੀਨਹੂੰ ਲੋਕ ਜਿਨ ਕੌ ਜੁਹਾਰੀ ॥
karai teenahoon lok jin kau juhaaree |The great Arabian soldiers, who had commendation in all the three domains, came forward’.
ਲਏ ਹਾਥ ਤਿਰਸੂਲ ਐਸੋ ਭ੍ਰਮਾਵੈ ॥
le haath tirasool aaiso bhramaavai |They carry the trident in their hand and swing it like this,
ਮਨੋ ਮੇਘ ਮੈ ਦਾਮਨੀ ਦਮਕਿ ਜਾਵੈ ॥੧੮॥
mano megh mai daamanee damak jaavai |18|They wielded their sp’ears like the lightning in the clouds.(18)

ਧਾਏ ਬੀਰ ਜੋਰਿ ਦਲ ਭਾਰੀ ॥
dhaae beer jor dal bhaaree |The heroes have made a big party and gone
ਬਾਨਾ ਬਧੇ ਬਡੇ ਹੰਕਾਰੀ ॥
baanaa badhe badde hankaaree |And has pierced the big proud (warriors) with arrows.
ਤਾਨ ਧਨੁਹਿਯਨ ਬਾਨ ਚਲਾਵੈ ॥
taan dhanuhiyan baan chalaavai |draw bows and shoot arrows,
ਬਾਧੇ ਗੋਲ ਸਾਮੁਹੇ ਆਵੈ ॥੧੯॥
baadhe gol saamuhe aavai |19|They come out in a round circle. 19.
ਜਬ ਅਬਲਾ ਵਹ ਨੈਨ ਨਿਹਾਰੇ ॥
jab abalaa vah nain nihaare |When Pathani used to see them with her eyes
ਭਾਤਿ ਭਾਤਿ ਕੇ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਪ੍ਰਹਾਰੇ ॥
bhaat bhaat ke sasatr prahaare |When the lady faced them, she used different types of weapons.
ਮੂੰਡ ਜੰਘ ਬਾਹਨ ਬਿਨੁ ਕੀਨੇ ॥
moondd jangh baahan bin keene |She would cut their faces, arms and legs,
ਪਠੈ ਧਾਮ ਜਮ ਕੇ ਸੋ ਦੀਨੇ ॥੨੦॥
patthai dhaam jam ke so deene |20|And send them straight to the domain of death.(20)
ਜੂਝਿ ਅਨੇਕ ਸੁਭਟ ਰਨ ਗਏ ॥
joojh anek subhatt ran ge |Many heroes died fighting in the battlefield
ਹੈ ਗੈ ਰਥੀ ਬਿਨਾ ਅਸਿ ਭਏ ॥
hai gai rathee binaa as bhe |Numerous braves lost their lives and were made to relinquish their chariots, horses and elephants.
ਜੂਝੈ ਬੀਰ ਖੇਤ ਭਟ ਭਾਰੀ ॥
joojhai beer khet bhatt bhaaree |Great heroes fought in the war-field
ਨਾਚੇ ਸੂਰ ਬੀਰ ਹੰਕਾਰੀ ॥੨੧॥
naache soor beer hankaaree |21|A great number lost their lives and the egoist (alive) ories commenced dancing.(21)
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥
doharaa |dual:
ਲਗੇ ਬ੍ਰਿਣਨ ਕੇ ਸੂਰਮਾ ਪਰੇ ਧਰਨਿ ਪੈ ਆਇ ॥
lage brinan ke sooramaa pare dharan pai aae |Due to the wound, the hero will fall on the earth.
ਗਿਰ ਪਰੇ ਉਠਿ ਪੁਨਿ ਲਰੇ ਅਧਿਕ ਹ੍ਰਿਦੈ ਕਰਿ ਚਾਇ ॥੨੨॥
gir pare utth pun lare adhik hridai kar chaae |22|He fell down and got up again and started fighting with enthusiasm in his heart. 22.
ਭੁਜੰਗ ਛੰਦ ॥
bhujang chhand |Bhujang Verse:
ਕਿਤੇ ਗੋਫਨੈ ਗੁਰਜ ਗੋਲੇ ਉਭਾਰੈ ॥
kite gofanai guraj gole ubhaarai |Somewhere, slings, gourds and shells are raised
ਕਿਤੇ ਚੰਦ੍ਰ ਤ੍ਰਿਸੂਲ ਸੈਥੀ ਸੰਭਾਰੈ ॥
kite chandr trisool saithee sanbhaarai |And some hold moon-headed arrows, tridents, and spears.
ਕਿਤੇ ਪਰਘ ਫਾਸੀ ਲਏ ਹਾਥ ਡੋਲੈ ॥
kite paragh faasee le haath ddolai |Somewhere they walk around with lances, spears (armors etc.) in their hands
ਕਿਤੇ ਮਾਰ ਹੀ ਮਾਰਿ ਕੈ ਬੀਰ ਬੋਲੈ ॥੨੩॥
kite maar hee maar kai beer bolai |23|And somewhere the warriors shout 'kill-kill'. 23.
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥

ਅਤਿ ਚਿਤ ਕੋਪ ਬਢਾਇ ਕੈ ਸੂਰਨ ਸਕਲਨ ਘਾਇ ॥
at chit kop badtaae kai sooran sakalan ghaae |With extreme acrimony in their minds and after killing many fearless ones,
ਜਹਾ ਬਾਲਿ ਠਾਢੀ ਹੁਤੀ ਤਹਾ ਪਰਤ ਭੇ ਆਇ ॥੨੪॥
jahaa baal tthaadtee hutee tahaa parat bhe aae |24|They (enemy) reached there, where the woman was standing.(24)
ਚੌਪਈ ॥

ਕਿਚਪਚਾਇ ਜੋਧਾ ਸਮੁਹਾਵੈ ॥
kichapachaae jodhaa samuhaavai |Warriors come out through the cracks
ਚਟਪਟ ਸੁਭਟ ਬਿਕਟ ਕਟਿ ਜਾਵੈ ॥
chattapatt subhatt bikatt katt jaavai |The enraged gallant ones came ahead but were cut instantly.
ਜੂਝਿ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਜੇ ਦੇਹੀ ॥
joojh praan sanamukh je dehee |Those who die face to face,
ਡਾਰਿ ਬਿਵਾਨ ਬਰੰਗਨਿ ਲੇਹੀ ॥੨੫॥
ddaar bivaan barangan lehee |25|They relinquished their souls and were taken away by the fairies in the palanquins (of death).(25)
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥

ਜੇ ਭਟ ਆਨਿ ਅਪਛਰਨਿ ਲਏ ਬਿਵਾਨ ਚੜਾਇ ॥
je bhatt aan apachharan le bivaan charraae |When the enemies were cut and taken away, the woman girded up her lions.
ਤਿਨਿ ਪ੍ਰਤਿ ਔਰ ਨਿਹਾਰਿ ਕੈ ਲਰਤੁ ਸੂਰ ਸਮੁਹਾਇ ॥੨੬॥
tin prat aauar nihaar kai larat soor samuhaae |26|With single stroke she annihilated many enemies.
