ਮਧੁਸੂਦਨਨਿਨਿ ਆਦਿ ਭਣਿਜੈ ॥
madhusoodananin aad bhanijai |First recite the word 'Madhu Sudnanini' (the land with river Jamana, wife of Krishna who killed the demon Madhu).
ਜਾ ਚਰ ਕਹਿ ਨਾਇਕ ਪਦ ਦਿਜੈ ॥
jaa char keh naaeik pad dijai |(Then) add the words 'Ja Char Nayak'.
ਸਤ੍ਰੁ ਸਬਦ ਕੋ ਬਹੁਰ ਬਖਾਨੋ ॥
satru sabad ko bahur bakhaano |Then say the word 'Satru'.

ho sakal tupak ke naam prabeen pramaaneeai |885|Saying firstly the word “Madhu-dundani”, add the words “Jaachar-shabdendra and shatru” and in this way know the names of Tupak in you mind.885.

jaa char keh pat sabad bahur tih deejeeai |Then add the words 'Ja Char Pati'.
