ਦਿਗ਼ਰ ਜਾ ਸ਼ੁਨੀਦੇ ਦਵੀਦੇ ਦਲੇਰ ॥੯੦॥
digar jaa shuneede daveede daler |90|And would do the same at any other rebellious place.(90)
ਬ ਹਰ ਜਾ ਕਿ ਤਰਕਸ਼ ਬਰੇਜ਼ੰਦ ਤੀਰ ॥
b har jaa ki tarakash barezand teer |Whenever he would shoot an arrow from his quiver,
ਬ ਕੁਸ਼ਤੇ ਅਦੂਰਾ ਬ ਕਰਦੇ ਅਸੀਰ ॥੯੧॥
b kushate adooraa b karade aseer |91|He would annihilate the enemy there and then.(91)
ਬ ਮੁਦਤ ਯਕੇ ਸਾਲ ਤਾ ਚਾਰ ਮਾਹ ॥
b mudat yake saal taa chaar maah |When a period of one year and four months had lapsed,
ਦਰਿਖ਼ਸ਼ਿੰਦਹ ਆਮਦ ਚੁ ਰਖ਼ਸ਼ਿੰਦਹ ਮਾਹ ॥੯੨॥
darikhashindah aamad chu rakhashindah maah |92|He became as famous in the country as the moon in the sky,(92)
ਬਦੋਜ਼ੰਦ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਨ ਬਸੋਜ਼ੰਦ ਤਨ ॥
badozand dushaman basozand tan |After stringing them through arrows he had nettled the enemies,
ਬਯਾਦ ਆਮਦਸ਼ ਰੋਜ਼ਗਾਰੇ ਕੁਹਨ ॥੯੩॥
bayaad aamadash rozagaare kuhan |93|And reminisced on the old days.(93)
ਬ ਗੁਫ਼ਤਸ਼ ਯਕੇ ਰੋਜ਼ ਦੁਖ਼ਤਰ ਵਜ਼ੀਰ ॥
b gufatash yake roz dukhatar vazeer |One day the daughter of the minister said to him,
ਕਿ ਏ ਸ਼ਾਹ ਸ਼ਾਹਾਨ ਰੌਸ਼ਨ ਜ਼ਮੀਰ ॥੯੪॥
ki e shaah shaahaan rauashan zameer |94|‘Oh, you the king of kings and the enlightened one,(94)
ਬ ਯਕ ਬਾਰ ਮੁਲਕਤ ਫ਼ਰਾਮੋਸ਼ ਗ਼ਸ਼ਤ ॥
b yak baar mulakat faraamosh gashat |‘Instantly you have forgotten your own country,
ਕਿ ਅਜ਼ ਮਸਤ ਮਸਤੀ ਹਮਹ ਹੋਸ਼ ਗਸ਼ਤ ॥੯੫॥
ki az masat masatee hamah hosh gashat |95|‘And being adorned with success, you have forgotten your own- self.(95)
ਤੁ ਆਂ ਮੁਲਕ ਪੇਸ਼ੀਨਹ ਰਾ ਯਾਦ ਕੁਨ ॥
tu aan mulak pesheenah raa yaad kun |‘Remember your own country, ‘Where lies your paternal city.
ਕਿ ਸ਼ਹਰੇ ਪਦਰ ਰਾ ਤੁ ਆਬਾਦ ਕੁਨ ॥੯੬॥
ki shahare padar raa tu aabaad kun |96|You must go and rehabilitate it.’(96)
ਨਿਗਹ ਦਾਸ਼ਤ ਅਜ਼ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਲਸ਼ਕਰ ਤਮਾਮ ॥
nigah daashat az fauaj lashakar tamaam |He had always been keeping vigil on this army,
ਬਸੇ ਗੰਜ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ੀਦ ਬਰ ਵੈ ਮੁਦਾਮ ॥੯੭॥
base ganj bakhasheed bar vai mudaam |97|And had been distributing the wealth (among them).(97)
ਯਕੇ ਲਸ਼ਕਰ ਆਰਾਸਤ ਚੂੰ ਨੌਬਹਾਰ ॥
yake lashakar aaraasat choon nauabahaar |One of the contingent, he decorated like the spring season.
ਜ਼ਿ ਖ਼ੰਜਰ ਵ ਗੁਰਜੋ ਵ ਬਕਤਰ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ॥੯੮॥
zi khanjar v gurajo v bakatar hazaar |98|He provided (them) thousands of daggers, and laced them with armours,(98)
ਜ਼ਿਰਹ ਖ਼ੋਦ ਖ਼ੁਫ਼ਤਾਨ ਬਰਗਸ਼ਤਵਾਨ ॥
zirah khod khufataan baragashatavaan |Along with coat-of-mails, he gave them Hindustani swords,
ਜ਼ਿ ਸ਼ਮਸ਼ੇਰ ਹਿੰਦੀ ਗਿਰਾ ਤਾ ਗਿਰਾਨ ॥੯੯॥
zi shamasher hindee giraa taa giraan |99|which were very heavy and expensive.(99)
ਜ਼ਿ ਬੰਦੂਕ ਮਸਹਦ ਵ ਚੀਨੀ ਕਮਾਨ ॥
zi bandook masahad v cheenee kamaan |Also (he gave them) the Guns from the country of Mashad,
ਜ਼ਿਰਹ ਰੂਮ ਸ਼ਮਸ਼ੇਰ ਹਿੰਦੋਸਤਾਨ ॥੧੦੦॥
zirah room shamasher hindosataan |100|Including chain-mails of Rome and scimitars of Hindustan.(100)
ਚਿ ਅਜ਼ ਤਾਜ਼ੀ ਅਸਪਾਨ ਪੋਲਾਦ ਨਾਲ ॥
chi az taazee asapaan polaad naal |They were provided with Arabian horses, (which were) outfitted with steel hooves.
ਹਮਹ ਜੂ ਬਦਹ ਫ਼ੀਲਾਨ ਅਜਿਸ਼ ਬੇ ਮਸਾਲ ॥੧੦੧॥
hamah joo badah feelaan ajish be masaal |101|Along with all the stimulated elephants, which were as black as the night.(101)
ਹਮਹ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਮਰਦਾ ਵ ਜ਼ੋਰਾਵਰਾ ॥
hamah sher maradaa v zoraavaraa |All the fighters were very brave,
ਕਿ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਅਫ਼ਕਨਾ ਰਾ ਬਸ਼ਫ਼ ਅਫ਼ਕਨਾ ॥੧੦੨॥
ki sher afakanaa raa bashaf afakanaa |102|They, the lion hearted ones, could decimate lines after lines (of the enemies).(102)
ਬਰਜ਼ਮ ਅੰਦਰੂੰ ਹਮਚੁ ਪੀਲ ਅਫ਼ਕਨ ਅਸਤ ॥
barazam andaroon hamach peel afakan asat |Although he was capable of killing an elephant,
ਬਬਜ਼ਮ ਅੰਦਰੂੰ ਚਰਬ ਚਾਲਾਕ ਦਸਤ ॥੧੦੩॥
babazam andaroon charab chaalaak dasat |103|In the court he prevailed with very sweet tongue and wit.(103)
ਨਿਸ਼ਾ ਮੇ ਦਿਹਦ ਨੇਜ਼ਹ ਰਾ ਨੋਕ ਖ਼ੂੰ ॥
nishaa me dihad nezah raa nok khoon |His spear was captivating,
ਕਸ਼ੀਦੰਦ ਅਜ਼ ਤੇਗ਼ ਜ਼ਹਿਰ ਆਬ ਗੂੰ ॥੧੦੪॥
kasheedand az teg zahir aab goon |104|And the swords were tempered with the poison.(104)
ਯਕੇ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਆਰਾਸਤਹ ਹਮ ਚੁ ਕੋਹ ॥
yake fauaj aaraasatah ham chu koh |A pyramid of the army was established, which was,
ਜੁਵਾਨਾਨ ਸ਼ਾਇਸਤਹੇ ਯਕ ਗਰੋਹ ॥੧੦੫॥
juvaanaan shaaeisatahe yak garoh |105|Constituted of very handsome young-men,(105)
ਬਪੋਸ਼ੀਦ ਦਸਤਾਰ ਦੁਖ਼ਤਰ ਵਜ਼ੀਰ ॥
baposheed dasataar dukhatar vazeer |The daughter of the Minister put the turban on,
ਬ ਬਸਤੰਦ ਸ਼ਮਸ਼ੇਰ ਜੁਸਤੰਦ ਤੀਰ ॥੧੦੬॥
b basatand shamasher jusatand teer |106|And took a quiver full of arrows.(106)
ਬ ਸਰਦਾਰੀਏ ਕਰਦ ਪੇਸ਼ੀਨਹ ਫ਼ੌਜ ॥
b saradaaree karad pesheenah fauaj |Leading the frontal detachments,
ਰਵਾ ਕਰਦ ਲਸ਼ਕਰ ਚੁ ਦਰੀਯਾਇ ਮੌਜ ॥੧੦੭॥
ravaa karad lashakar chu dareeyaae mauaj |107|She led the army like the flowing river.(107)
ਯਕੇ ਗੋਲ ਬਸਤਹ ਚੁ ਅਬਰੇ ਸਿਯਾਹ ॥
yake gol basatah chu abare siyaah |Like a black cloud, when one contingent was despatched,
ਬ ਲਰਜ਼ੀਦ ਬੂਮੋ ਬ ਲਰਜ਼ੀਦ ਮਾਹ ॥੧੦੮॥
b larazeed boomo b larazeed maah |108|The earth shook and the moon trembled.(108)
ਬਿਯਾਵੁਰਦ ਲਸ਼ਕਰ ਚੁ ਬਰ ਵੈ ਹਦੂਦ ॥
biyaavurad lashakar chu bar vai hadood |When the border was butted by the army,
ਸਲਾਹੇ ਦਿਗ਼ਰ ਤੀਰ ਤੇਗ਼ੋ ਨਮੂਦ ॥੧੦੯॥
salaahe digar teer tego namood |109|Which was equipped with arrows, swords and many other arms,(109)
ਬਿਆਰਾਸਤ ਲਸ਼ਕਰ ਬ ਸਾਜ਼ੇ ਤਮਾਮ ॥
biaaraasat lashakar b saaze tamaam |And also provided were the weapons,
ਹਮਹ ਖ਼ੰਜਰੋ ਗੁਰਜ ਗੋਪਾਲ ਨਾਮ ॥੧੧੦॥
hamah khanjaro guraj gopaal naam |110|Known as daggers, maces and slingshots,(110)
ਬ ਬੁਰਦੰਦ ਅਕਲੀਮ ਤਾ ਰਾਜ ਤਖ਼ਤ ॥
b buradand akaleem taa raaj takhat |Then was plundered the country of Akleem,
ਬ ਬੁਰਦਨ ਸ਼ਹੇ ਬਾਦ ਪਾਯਾਨ ਰਖ਼ਤ ॥੧੧੧॥
b buradan shahe baad paayaan rakhat |111|And one ruler took away the flying-horses and other outfits.(111)
ਚੁਨਾ ਜੰਗ ਕਰਦੰਦ ਆਂ ਮੁਲਕ ਰਾ ॥
chunaa jang karadand aan mulak raa |The worn-torn country was left like,
ਚੁ ਬਰਗੇ ਦਰਖ਼ਤਾ ਜ਼ਿ ਬਾਦੇ ਸਬਾ ॥੧੧੨॥
chu barage darakhataa zi baade sabaa |112|The trees, which are made barren during the fall.(112)
ਬ ਕੁਸ਼ਤਨ ਅਦੂਰਾ ਕੁਸ਼ਾਯਦ ਬ ਪੇਸ਼ ॥
b kushatan adooraa kushaayad b pesh |The defeat of the enemy opened all the annuls to march forward,
ਬ ਬੇਰੂੰ ਜ਼ਿ ਮੁਲਕਸ਼ ਹਮਹ ਰੂਹ ਰੇਸ਼ ॥੧੧੩॥
b beroon zi mulakash hamah rooh resh |113|And the opponents were left behind humiliated.(113)
ਪਰੀ ਚਿਹਰਏ ਹਮ ਚੁ ਸ਼ੇਰੇ ਨਿਯਾਦ ॥
paree chihare ham chu shere niyaad |Her fairy-like features depicted the lion’s courage,
