ਪ੍ਰਭ ਏਕ ਹੀ ਰਸ ਪਗਤ ॥੨੮੦॥
prabh ek hee ras pagat |280|

He was a devotee of the king dyed unswervingly in the love of the Lord.280.

ਜਲ ਪਰਤ ਮੂਸਲਧਾਰ ॥
jal parat moosaladhaar |

ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਲੇ ਨ ਓਟਿ ਦੁਆਰ ॥
grih le na ott duaar |

ਪਸੁ ਪਛ ਸਰਬਿ ਦਿਸਾਨ ॥
pas pachh sarab disaan |

ਸਭ ਦੇਸ ਦੇਸ ਸਿਧਾਨ ॥੨੮੧॥
sabh des des sidhaan |281|

Because of heavy rain, all the animals and birds were going from various directions to their homes in order to take shelter.281.

ਇਹ ਠਾਢ ਹੈ ਇਕ ਆਸ ॥
eih tthaadt hai ik aas |

ਇਕ ਪਾਨ ਜਾਨ ਉਦਾਸ ॥
eik paan jaan udaas |

ਅਸਿ ਲੀਨ ਪਾਨਿ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ॥
as leen paan prachandd |

ਅਤਿ ਤੇਜਵੰਤ ਅਖੰਡ ॥੨੮੨॥
at tejavant akhandd |282|

He was standing detachedly on one foot and taking his sword in one of his hands, he was looking extremely lustrous.282.

ਮਨਿ ਆਨਿ ਕੋ ਨਹੀ ਭਾਵ ॥
man aan ko nahee bhaav |

ਇਕ ਦੇਵ ਕੋ ਚਿਤ ਚਾਵ ॥
eik dev ko chit chaav |

ਇਕ ਪਾਵ ਐਸੇ ਠਾਢ ॥
eik paav aaise tthaadt |

ਰਨ ਖੰਭ ਜਾਨੁਕ ਗਾਡ ॥੨੮੩॥
ran khanbh jaanuk gaadd |283|

There was no other idea in his mind except his master and he was standing on one foot like a column standing in the battlefield.283.

ਜਿਹ ਭੂਮਿ ਧਾਰਸ ਪਾਵ ॥
jih bhoom dhaaras paav |

ਨਹੀ ਨੈਕੁ ਫੇਰਿ ਉਚਾਵ ॥
nahee naik fer uchaav |

Wherever he placed his foot, he firmly fixed it there

ਨਹੀ ਠਾਮ ਭੀਜਸ ਤਉਨ ॥
nahee tthaam bheejas taun |

ਅਵਲੋਕ ਭਇਓ ਮੁਨਿ ਮਉਨ ॥੨੮੪॥
avalok bheio mun maun |284|

At his place, he was not getting wet and seeing him the sage Dutt kept silent.284.

ਅਵਲੋਕਿ ਤਾਸੁ ਮੁਨੇਸ ॥
avalok taas munes |

ਅਕਲੰਕ ਭਾਗਵਿ ਭੇਸ ॥
akalank bhaagav bhes |

The sage saw him and he seemed to him like a part of a blemishless moon

ਗੁਰੁ ਜਾਨਿ ਪਰੀਆ ਪਾਇ ॥
gur jaan pareea paae |

ਤਜਿ ਲਾਜ ਸਾਜ ਸਚਾਇ ॥੨੮੫॥
taj laaj saaj sachaae |285|

The sage abandoning his shyness and accepting him as his Guru, fell at his feet.285.

ਤਿਹ ਜਾਨ ਕੈ ਗੁਰਦੇਵ ॥
tih jaan kai guradev |

ਅਕਲੰਕ ਦਤ ਅਭੇਵ ॥
akalank dat abhev |

ਚਿਤ ਤਾਸ ਕੇ ਰਸ ਭੀਨ ॥
chit taas ke ras bheen |

ਗੁਰੁ ਤ੍ਰਉਦਸਮੋ ਤਿਹ ਕੀਨ ॥੨੮੬॥
gur traudasamo tih keen |286|

The blemishless Dutt, accepting him as his Guru, absorbed his mind in his love and in this way adopted him as the Thirteenth Guru.286.

ਇਤਿ ਤ੍ਰਉਦਸਮੋ ਗੁਰੂ ਭ੍ਰਿਤ ਸਮਾਪਤੰ ॥੧੩॥
eit traudasamo guroo bhrit samaapatan |13|

End of the description of the Thirteenth Guru.

ਅਥ ਚਤੁਰਦਸਮੋ ਗੁਰ ਨਾਮ ॥
ath chaturadasamo gur naam |

Now begins the description of the Fourteenth Guru

ਰਸਾਵਲ ਛੰਦ ॥
rasaaval chhand |

RASAAVAL STANZA

ਚਲ੍ਯੋ ਦਤ ਰਾਜੰ ॥
chalayo dat raajan |

ਲਖੇ ਪਾਪ ਭਾਜੰ ॥
lakhe paap bhaajan |

ਜਿਨੈ ਨੈਕੁ ਪੇਖਾ ॥
jinai naik pekhaa |

ਗੁਰੂ ਤੁਲਿ ਲੇਖਾ ॥੨੮੭॥
guroo tul lekhaa |287|

Dutt moved further, seeing whom the sins ran away whosover saw him he saw him as his Guru.287.

ਮਹਾ ਜੋਤਿ ਰਾਜੈ ॥
mahaa jot raajai |

ਲਖੈ ਪਾਪ ਭਾਜੈ ॥
lakhai paap bhaajai |

ਮਹਾ ਤੇਜ ਸੋਹੈ ॥
mahaa tej sohai |

ਸਿਵਊ ਤੁਲਿ ਕੋ ਹੈ ॥੨੮੮॥
sivaoo tul ko hai |288|

Seeing that lustrous and glorious sage, the sins ran away and if there was anyone like the grat Shiva, it was only Dutt.288.

ਜਿਨੈ ਨੈਕੁ ਪੇਖਾ ॥
jinai naik pekhaa |

ਮਨੋ ਮੈਨ ਦੇਖਾ ॥
mano main dekhaa |

Whosoever saw him, saw the god of love in him

ਸਹੀ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਜਾਨਾ ॥
sahee braham jaanaa |

ਨ ਦ੍ਵੈ ਭਾਵ ਆਨਾ ॥੨੮੯॥
n dvai bhaav aanaa |289|

He considered him like Brahman and destroyed his duality.289.

ਰਿਝੀ ਸਰਬ ਨਾਰੀ ॥
rijhee sarab naaree |

ਮਹਾ ਤੇਜ ਧਾਰੀ ॥
mahaa tej dhaaree |

All the women were allured by that great and illustrious Dutt and

ਨ ਹਾਰੰ ਸੰਭਾਰੈ ॥
n haaran sanbhaarai |

ਨ ਚੀਰਊ ਚਿਤਾਰੈ ॥੨੯੦॥
n cheeraoo chitaarai |290|

They were not anxious about garments and ornaments.290.

ਚਲੀ ਧਾਇ ਐਸੇ ॥
chalee dhaae aaise |

ਨਦੀ ਨਾਵ ਜੈਸੇ ॥
nadee naav jaise |

They were running like the boat moving forward in the stream

ਜੁਵਾ ਬ੍ਰਿਧ ਬਾਲੈ ॥
juvaa bridh baalai |

ਰਹੀ ਕੌ ਨ ਆਲੈ ॥੨੯੧॥
rahee kau na aalai |291|

None of the young, old and minors remained behind.291.
