ਏਕ ਪਰੇ ਭਟ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਬਿਨਾ ਮਨੋ ਸੋਵਤ ਹੈ ਮਦਰਾ ਮਦ ਮਾਤੇ ॥੧੮੫੮॥
ek pare bhatt praan binaa mano sovat hai madaraa mad maate |1858|Some of them are absorbed in war, getting intoxicated, some warriors are lying lifeless like the ones highly intoxicated after drinking wine.1858.
ਜਾਦਵ ਜੇ ਅਤਿ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਭਰੇ ਗਹਿ ਆਯੁਧਿ ਸੰਧ ਜਰਾ ਪਹਿ ਧਾਵਤ ॥
jaadav je at krodh bhare geh aayudh sandh jaraa peh dhaavat |In extreme fury, the Yadavas, holding their weapons, have fallen on Jarasandh
ਅਉਰ ਜਿਤੇ ਸਿਰਦਾਰ ਬਲੀ ਕਰਵਾਰਿ ਸੰਭਾਰਿ ਹਕਾਰਿ ਬੁਲਾਵਤ ॥
aaur jite siradaar balee karavaar sanbhaar hakaar bulaavat |The mighty warriors, taking up their swords are challenging all
ਭੂਪਤਿ ਪਾਨਿ ਲੈ ਬਾਨ ਕਮਾਨ ਗੁਮਾਨ ਭਰਿਯੋ ਰਿਪੁ ਓਰਿ ਚਲਾਵਤ ॥
bhoopat paan lai baan kamaan gumaan bhariyo rip or chalaavat |The king Jarasandh, taking his bow in his hand, is proudly discharging his arrows towards the enemies and
ਏਕ ਹੀ ਬਾਨ ਕੇ ਸਾਥ ਕੀਏ ਬਿਨੁ ਮਾਥ ਸੁ ਨਾਥ ਅਨਾਥ ਹੁਇ ਆਵਤ ॥੧੮੫੯॥
ek hee baan ke saath kee bin maath su naath anaath hue aavat |1859|Even with a single arrow, he is routing many, making them headless.1859.
ਏਕਨ ਕੀ ਭੁਜ ਕਾਟਿ ਦਈ ਅਰੁ ਏਕਨ ਕੇ ਸਿਰ ਕਾਟਿ ਗਿਰਾਏ ॥
ekan kee bhuj kaatt dee ar ekan ke sir kaatt giraae |He cut down the arm of someone and caused the head of someone fall down after cutting it
ਜਾਦਵ ਏਕ ਕੀਏ ਬਿਰਥੀ ਪੁਨਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਜਦੁਬੀਰ ਕੇ ਤੀਰ ਲਗਾਏ ॥
jaadav ek kee birathee pun sree jadubeer ke teer lagaae |Some Yadava was deprived of his chariot, then he shot an arrow towards Krishna
ਅਉਰ ਹਨੇ ਗਜਰਾਜ ਘਨੌ ਬਰ ਬਾਜ ਬਨੇ ਹਨਿ ਭੂਮਿ ਗਿਰਾਏ ॥
aaur hane gajaraaj ghanau bar baaj bane han bhoom giraae |He got many horses and elephants killed and fell on the ground
ਜੋਗਿਨ ਭੂਤ ਪਿਸਾਚ ਸਿੰਗਾਲਨ ਸ੍ਰਉਨਤ ਸਾਗਰ ਮਾਝ ਅਨਾਏ ॥੧੮੬੦॥
jogin bhoot pisaach singaalan sraunat saagar maajh anaae |1860|And the Yoginis, ghosts, fiends, jackals etc., began to bathe in the sea of blood in the battlefield.1860.
ਬੀਰ ਸੰਘਾਰ ਕੈ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਜਦੁਬੀਰ ਕੇ ਭੂਪ ਭਯੋ ਅਤਿ ਕੋਪਮਈ ਹੈ ॥

ਜੁਧ ਬਿਖੈ ਮਨ ਦੇਤ ਭਯੋ ਤਨ ਕੀ ਸਿਗਰੀ ਸੁਧਿ ਭੂਲਿ ਗਈ ਹੈ ॥
judh bikhai man det bhayo tan kee sigaree sudh bhool gee hai |He was absorbed in fighting to such an extent that he forgot the consciousness of his body and mind
ਐਨ ਹੀ ਸੈਨ ਹਨੀ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਸੁ ਪਰੀ ਛਿਤ ਮੈ ਬਿਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਭਈ ਹੈ ॥
aain hee sain hanee prabh kee su paree chhit mai bin praan bhee hai |The entire ('n') army of Sri Krishna is lying dead on the earth.
ਭੂਪਤਿ ਮਾਨਹੁ ਸੀਸਨ ਕੀ ਸਭ ਸੂਰਨ ਹੂੰ ਕੀ ਜਗਾਤਿ ਲਈ ਹੈ ॥੧੮੬੧॥
bhoopat maanahu seesan kee sabh sooran hoon kee jagaat lee hai |1861|He destroyed the army of Krishna and scattered it on the earth, it appeared that the king had realized the tax of their heads from the warriors.1861.
ਛਾਡਿ ਦਏ ਜਿਤ ਸਾਚ ਕੈ ਮਾਨਹੁ ਮਾਰਿ ਦਏ ਮਨ ਝੂਠ ਨ ਭਾਯੋ ॥
chhaadd de jit saach kai maanahu maar de man jhootth na bhaayo |Those who wanted to be on the side of truth, they were released and those who sided with falsehood, they were knocked down
ਜੋ ਭਟ ਘਾਇਲ ਭੂਮਿ ਪਰੇ ਮਨੋ ਦੋਸ ਕੀਯੋ ਕਛੁ ਦੰਡੁ ਦਿਵਾਯੋ ॥
jo bhatt ghaaeil bhoom pare mano dos keeyo kachh dandd divaayo |The wounded warriors were lying in the battlefield like the punished criminals
ਏਕ ਹਨੇ ਕਰ ਪਾਇਨ ਤੇ ਜਿਨ ਜੈਸੋ ਕੀਯੋ ਫਲ ਤੈਸੋ ਈ ਪਾਯੋ ॥
ek hane kar paaein te jin jaiso keeyo fal taiso ee paayo |Many were killed by cutting their hands and feet, everyone received the reward of his actions
ਰਾਜ ਸਿੰਘਾਸਨ ਸ੍ਯੰਦਨ ਬੈਠ ਕੈ ਸੂਰਨ ਕੇ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਨਿਆਉ ਚੁਕਾਯੋ ॥੧੮੬੨॥
raaj singhaasan sayandan baitth kai sooran ke nrip niaau chukaayo |1862|It appeared that king sitting on chariot as throne was imparting justice regarding the sinner and sinless.1862.
ਜਬ ਭੂਪ ਇਤੋ ਰਨ ਪਾਵਤ ਭਯੋ ਤਬ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬ੍ਰਿਜ ਨਾਇਕ ਕੋਪ ਭਰਿਯੋ ॥
jab bhoop ito ran paavat bhayo tab sree brij naaeik kop bhariyo |Seeing such a dreadful war of the king, Krishna was filled with rage and
ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਸਾਮੁਹੇ ਜਾਇ ਕੇ ਜੂਝ ਮਚਾਤ ਭਯੋ ਚਿਤ ਮੈ ਨ ਰਤੀ ਕੁ ਡਰਿਯੋ ॥
nrip saamuhe jaae ke joojh machaat bhayo chit mai na ratee ku ddariyo |Abandoning the fear began terrible fighting in front if the king
ਬ੍ਰਿਜ ਨਾਇਕ ਸਾਇਕ ਏਕ ਹਨ੍ਯੋ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਕੋ ਉਰਿ ਲਾਗ ਕੈ ਭੂਮਿ ਪਰਿਯੋ ॥
brij naaeik saaeik ek hanayo nrip ko ur laag kai bhoom pariyo |An arrow of Krishna struck the heart of the king and he fell down on the earth
ਇਮ ਮੇਦ ਸੋ ਬਾਨ ਚਖਿਯੋ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਕੋ ਮਨੋ ਪੰਨਗ ਦੂਧ ਕੋ ਪਾਨ ਕਰਿਯੋ ॥੧੮੬੩॥
eim med so baan chakhiyo nrip ko mano panag doodh ko paan kariyo |1863|The arrow of Krishna, penetrated in such a way in the white marrow of the king that it seemed like a snake drinking milk.1863.
ਸਹਿ ਕੈ ਸਰ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਹਰਿ ਕੋ ਉਰ ਮੈ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਹੀ ਕਉ ਇਕ ਬਾਨ ਲਗਾਯੋ ॥
seh kai sar sree har ko ur mai nrip sayaam hee kau ik baan lagaayo |Bearing Lord Krishna's arrow on (his) chest, the king shot an arrow at Krishna.
ਸੂਤ ਕੇ ਏਕ ਲਗਾਵਤ ਭਯੋ ਸਰ ਦਾਰੁਕ ਲਾਗਤ ਹੀ ਦੁਖੁ ਪਾਯੋ ॥
soot ke ek lagaavat bhayo sar daaruk laagat hee dukh paayo |Enduring the arrow of Krishna, which struck his heart, the king shot an arrow towards Krishna, which hit Daruk, whom it caused great agony
ਹੁਇ ਬਿਸੰਭਾਰ ਗਿਰਿਯੋ ਈ ਚਹੈ ਤਿਹ ਕੋ ਰਥੁ ਆਸਨ ਨ ਠਹਰਾਯੋ ॥
hue bisanbhaar giriyo ee chahai tih ko rath aasan na tthaharaayo |(He) was about to fall unconscious (because) it became difficult for him to sit on the chariot.
