ਹਾਇ ਹਾਇ ਗਿਰਿ ਭੂਮ ਉਚਾਰਾ ॥
haae haae gir bhoom uchaaraa |(The queen made a character seeing that it was not successful). She fell on the ground and started chanting 'hi hi'
ਮੁਰ ਕਰੇਜ ਡਾਇਨੀ ਨਿਹਾਰਾ ॥੭॥
mur karej ddaaeinee nihaaraa |7|(And began to say that) my liver has been seen (i.e. drawn) by (this) witch.7.
ਤਿਹ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਬਸਤ੍ਰ ਹੁਤੇ ਪਹਿਰਾਏ ॥
tih triy basatr hute pahiraae |She (the queen) was dressed in women's clothes.
ਡਾਇਨ ਸੁਨਤ ਲੋਗ ਉਠਿ ਧਾਏ ॥
ddaaein sunat log utth dhaae |Everyone got up after hearing Diane's (name).
ਜਬ ਗਹਿ ਤਾਹਿ ਬਹੁਤ ਬਿਧਿ ਮਾਰਾ ॥
jab geh taeh bahut bidh maaraa |When he was caught and beaten severely,
ਤਬ ਤਿਨ ਮਨਾ ਜੁ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਾ ਉਚਾਰਾ ॥੮॥
tab tin manaa ju triyaa uchaaraa |8|So he accepted what the queen had said.8.
ਤਬ ਲਗਿ ਤਹਾ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਹੂੰ ਆਯੋ ॥
tab lag tahaa nripat hoon aayo |By then the king came there.
ਸੁਨਿ ਕਰੇਜ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਹਰਿਯੋ ਰਿਸਾਯੋ ॥
sun karej triy hariyo risaayo |The lady stole the liver, got angry hearing this and said,
ਇਹ ਡਾਇਨਿ ਕਹ ਕਹਾ ਸੰਘਾਰੋ ॥
eih ddaaein kah kahaa sanghaaro |kill this witch
ਕੈ ਅਬ ਹੀ ਰਾਨੀਯਹਿ ਜਿਯਾਰੋ ॥੯॥
kai ab hee raaneeyeh jiyaaro |9|Or let's revive the queen right now (i.e. return the liver) ॥9॥
ਤਬ ਤਿਨ ਦੂਰਿ ਠਾਢ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਕੀਏ ॥
tab tin door tthaadt nrip kee |Then he (Haji Rai) made the king stand away
ਰਾਨੀ ਕੇ ਚੁੰਬਨ ਤਿਨ ਲੀਏ ॥
raanee ke chunban tin lee |And he received the queen's kisses.
ਰਾਜਾ ਲਖੈ ਕਰੇਜੋ ਡਾਰੈ ॥
raajaa lakhai karejo ddaarai |(This action) the king was thinking that (inside the queen) he was putting the liver.
ਭੇਦ ਅਭੇਦ ਨਹਿ ਮੂੜ ਬਿਚਾਰੈ ॥੧੦॥
bhed abhed neh moorr bichaarai |10|That fool was not understanding the difference. 10.
ਸਭ ਤਬ ਹੀ ਲੋਗਾਨ ਹਟਾਯੋ ॥
sabh tab hee logaan hattaayo |Then (he) removed all the people
ਅਧਿਕ ਨਾਰਿ ਸੌ ਭੋਗ ਮਚਾਯੋ ॥
adhik naar sau bhog machaayo |and indulged much with the queen.
ਰਾਖੈ ਜੋ ਮੁਰਿ ਕਹਿ ਪ੍ਰਿਯ ਪ੍ਰਾਨਾ ॥
raakhai jo mur keh priy praanaa |(Then started saying) O dear! You who have protected my soul,
ਤੁਮ ਸੌ ਰਮੌ ਸਦਾ ਬਿਧਿ ਨਾਨਾ ॥੧੧॥
tum sau ramau sadaa bidh naanaa |11|(For him) I will always make love with you in different ways. 11.
ਅਧਿਕ ਭੋਗ ਤਾ ਸੌ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਕਰਿ ਕੈ ॥
adhik bhog taa sau triy kar kai |By indulging him a lot
ਧਾਇ ਭੇਸ ਦੈ ਦਯੋ ਨਿਕਰਿ ਕੈ ॥
dhaae bhes dai dayo nikar kai |The queen disguised her as a midwife and got rid of her.
ਭਾਖਤ ਜਾਇ ਪਤਿਹਿ ਅਸ ਭਈ ॥
bhaakhat jaae patihi as bhee |(Queen) went to her husband and started saying like this
ਦੇਇ ਕਰਿਜਵਾ ਡਾਇਨਿ ਗਈ ॥੧੨॥
dee karijavaa ddaaein gee |12|That I have been given Diane Cleja. 12.
ਦਿਤ ਮੁਹਿ ਪ੍ਰਥਮ ਕਰਿਜਵਾ ਭਈ ॥
dit muhi pratham karijavaa bhee |He gave me the liver first.
ਪੁਨਿ ਵਹ ਅੰਤ੍ਰਧ੍ਯਾਨ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਗਈ ॥
pun vah antradhayaan hvai gee |Then that difference became meditation.
ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਬਰ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਨ ਹਮਰੀ ਆਈ ॥
nrip bar drisatt na hamaree aaee |great king! (Then) she did not see me.
ਕ੍ਯਾ ਜਨਿਯੈ ਕਿਹ ਦੇਸ ਸਿਧਾਈ ॥੧੩॥
kayaa janiyai kih des sidhaaee |13|Do you know which country she has gone to? 13.
ਸਤਿ ਸਤਿ ਤਬ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਉਚਾਰਾ ॥
sat sat tab nripat uchaaraa |The king then said 'Sat Sat',
ਭੇਦ ਅਭੇਦ ਨ ਮੂੜ ਬਿਚਾਰਾ ॥
bhed abhed na moorr bichaaraa |But the fool did not recognize the difference.
ਨਿਰਖਤ ਥੋ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਜਾਰ ਬਜਾਈ ॥
nirakhat tho triy jaar bajaaee |With (everyone) watching, the man fornicated with the woman
ਇਹ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਗਯੋ ਆਂਖਿ ਚੁਰਾਈ ॥੧੪॥
eih charitr gayo aankh churaaee |14|And after doing this character, he went out saving his eye. 14.
ਪ੍ਰਥਮ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਬੋਲਿ ਪਠਾਯੋ ॥
pratham mitr triy bol patthaayo |First the woman called Mitra.
ਕਹਿਯੋ ਨ ਕਿਯ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਤ੍ਰਾਸ ਦਿਖਾਯੋ ॥
kahiyo na kiy triy traas dikhaayo |(When) he said no, (then) the woman frightened (him).
ਬਹੁਰਿ ਭਜਾ ਇਹ ਚਰਿਤ ਲਖਾਯਾ ॥
bahur bhajaa ih charit lakhaayaa |It was done by showing this character.
ਠਾਢ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਜੜ ਮੂੰਡ ਮੁੰਡਾਯਾ ॥੧੫॥
tthaadt nripat jarr moondd munddaayaa |15|The king shaved his head while standing (meaning he was cheated while standing). 15.
ਇਤਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਪਖ੍ਯਾਨੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਾ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰੇ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੀ ਭੂਪ ਸੰਬਾਦੇ ਤੀਨ ਸੌ ਆਠ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਸਮਾਪਤਮ ਸਤੁ ਸੁਭਮ ਸਤੁ ॥੩੦੮॥੫੯੦੦॥ਅਫਜੂੰ॥

ਕਰਨਾਟਕ ਕੋ ਦੇਸ ਬਸਤ ਜਹ ॥
karanaattak ko des basat jah |Where the country of Karnataka used to live,
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕਰਨਾਟਕ ਸੈਨ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਤਹ ॥
sree karanaattak sain nripat tah |There was a king named Karnataka Sena (ruling).
ਕਰਨਾਟਕ ਦੇਈ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਨਾਰੀ ॥
karanaattak deee grih naaree |(In his) house was a woman named Karnataka Dei
ਜਾ ਤੇ ਲਿਯ ਰਵਿ ਸਸਿ ਉਜਿਯਾਰੀ ॥੧॥
jaa te liy rav sas ujiyaaree |1|From which the sun and the moon used to take light. 1.
ਤਹ ਇਕ ਸਾਹ ਬਸਤ ਥੋ ਨੀਕੋ ॥
tah ik saah basat tho neeko |There lived a handsome king,
ਜਾਹਿ ਨਿਰਖਿ ਸੁਖ ਉਪਜਤ ਜੀ ਕੋ ॥
jaeh nirakh sukh upajat jee ko |Which was pleasing to the eye.
ਤਾ ਕੇ ਸੁਤਾ ਹੁਤੀ ਇਕ ਧਾਮਾ ॥
taa ke sutaa hutee ik dhaamaa |He had a daughter at home,
ਥਕਿਤ ਰਹਤ ਨਿਰਖਤ ਜਿਹ ਬਾਮਾ ॥੨॥
thakit rahat nirakhat jih baamaa |2|Seeing whom women used to get tired. 2.
ਸੁਤਾ ਅਪੂਰਬ ਦੇ ਤਿਹ ਨਾਮਾ ॥
sutaa apoorab de tih naamaa |His daughter's name was Apoorab De (Dei).
ਜਿਹ ਸੀ ਕਹੂੰ ਕੋਊ ਨਹਿ ਬਾਮਾ ॥
jih see kahoon koaoo neh baamaa |There was no woman like her.
ਏਕ ਸਾਹ ਕੇ ਸੁਤ ਕਹ ਬ੍ਯਾਹੀ ॥
ek saah ke sut kah bayaahee |(She) was married to a Shah's son
ਬੀਰਜ ਕੇਤੁ ਨਾਮ ਤਿਹ ਆਹੀ ॥੩॥
beeraj ket naam tih aahee |3|whose name was Biraj Ketu. 3.
