ਬ੍ਰਿਜ ਭਾਮਿਨ ਆ ਪਹੁਚੀ ਦਵਰੀ ਸੁਧਿ ਹਿਯਾ ਜੁ ਰਹੀ ਨ ਕਛੂ ਮੁਖ ਕੀ ॥
brij bhaamin aa pahuchee davaree sudh hiyaa ju rahee na kachhoo mukh kee |The women of Braja have come there running and forgetting the consciousness of their mind and body
ਮੁਖ ਕੋ ਪਿਖਿ ਰੂਪ ਕੇ ਬਸ੍ਰਯ ਭਈ ਮਤ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਅਤਿ ਹੀ ਕਹਿ ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹ ਬਕੀ ॥
mukh ko pikh roop ke basray bhee mat hvai at hee keh kaanrah bakee |On seeing (Kanh's) face, they have become possessed (by him) and cry out 'Kanh Kanh', being very excited.
ਇਕ ਝੂਮਿ ਪਰੀ ਇਕ ਗਾਇ ਉਠੀ ਤਨ ਮੈ ਇਕ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਰਹਿਗੀ ਸੁ ਜਕੀ ॥੪੪੭॥
eik jhoom paree ik gaae utthee tan mai ik hvai rahigee su jakee |447|On seeing the face of Krishna, they have been highly enchanted by his beauty that someone swung and fell down, someone got up singing and someone is lying inactive.447.
ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਸੁਨਿ ਕੈ ਸੁਰ ਸ੍ਰਉਨਨ ਮੈ ਸਭ ਧਾਇ ਚਲੀ ਬ੍ਰਿਜਭੂਮਿ ਸਖੀ ॥
har kee sun kai sur sraunan mai sabh dhaae chalee brijabhoom sakhee |Hearing the sound (of the flute) with their ears, all the women of Braja ran towards Krishna
ਸਭ ਮੈਨ ਕੇ ਹਾਥਿ ਗਈ ਬਧ ਕੈ ਸਭ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਕੀ ਪੇਖਿ ਅਖੀ ॥
sabh main ke haath gee badh kai sabh sundar sayaam kee pekh akhee |Seeing the wanton eyes of beautiful Krishna, they have been entrapped by the god of love
ਨਿਕਰੀ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਤੇ ਮ੍ਰਿਗਨੀ ਸਮ ਮਾਨਹੁ ਗੋਪਿਨ ਤੇ ਨਹਿ ਜਾਹਿ ਰਖੀ ॥
nikaree grih te mriganee sam maanahu gopin te neh jaeh rakhee |They have left their houses like deer as if they got their release from gopas and have come to Krishna,
ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਹਰੀ ਪਹਿ ਆਇ ਗਈ ਜਨੁ ਆਇ ਗਈ ਸੁਧਿ ਜਾਨਿ ਸਖੀ ॥੪੪੮॥
eih bhaat haree peh aae gee jan aae gee sudh jaan sakhee |448|Getting impatient and meeting him like one woman with the other woman on knowing his address.448.
ਗਈ ਆਇ ਦਸੋ ਦਿਸ ਤੇ ਗੁਪੀਆ ਸਭ ਹੀ ਰਸ ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹ ਕੇ ਸਾਥ ਪਗੀ ॥
gee aae daso dis te gupeea sabh hee ras kaanrah ke saath pagee |Enchanted by the tune of Krihsna, the gopis have reached him from all the ten directions
ਪਿਖ ਕੈ ਮੁਖਿ ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹ ਕੋ ਚੰਦ ਕਲਾ ਸੁ ਚਕੋਰਨ ਸੀ ਮਨ ਮੈ ਉਮਗੀ ॥
pikh kai mukh kaanrah ko chand kalaa su chakoran see man mai umagee |On seeing the face of Krishna, their mind has been emotionally charmed like the partridge on seeing the moon
ਹਰਿ ਕੋ ਪੁਨਿ ਸੁਧਿ ਸੁ ਆਨਨ ਪੇਖਿ ਕਿਧੌ ਤਿਨ ਕੀ ਠਗ ਡੀਠ ਲਗੀ ॥
har ko pun sudh su aanan pekh kidhau tin kee tthag ddeetth lagee |Again seeing the beautiful face of Krishna, the sight of gopis has stayed there
ਭਗਵਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨਿ ਭਯੋ ਪਿਖ ਕੈ ਕਬਿ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਮਨੋ ਮ੍ਰਿਗ ਦੇਖ ਮ੍ਰਿਗੀ ॥੪੪੯॥
bhagavaan prasan bhayo pikh kai kab sayaam mano mrig dekh mrigee |449|Krishna also is getting pleased on beholding them like the deer seeing the doe.449.
ਗੋਪਿਨ ਕੀ ਬਰਜੀ ਨ ਰਹੀ ਸੁਰ ਕਾਨਰ ਕੀ ਸੁਨਬੇ ਕਹੁ ਤ੍ਰਾਘੀ ॥
gopin kee barajee na rahee sur kaanar kee sunabe kahu traaghee |Though forbidden by the gopas, the impetuous gopis, got impatient, for listening to the tune of Krishna’s flute
ਨਾਖਿ ਚਲੀ ਅਪਨੇ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਇਉ ਜਿਮੁ ਮਤਿ ਜੁਗੀਸ੍ਵਰ ਇੰਦ੍ਰਹਿ ਲਾਘੀ ॥
naakh chalee apane grih iau jim mat jugeesvar indreh laaghee |They have forsaken their houses and are moving in intoxication like Shiva moving, without caring for Indra
ਦੇਖਨ ਕੋ ਮੁਖਿ ਤਾਹਿ ਚਲੀ ਜੋਊ ਕਾਮ ਕਲਾ ਹੂੰ ਕੋ ਹੈ ਫੁਨਿ ਬਾਘੀ ॥
dekhan ko mukh taeh chalee joaoo kaam kalaa hoon ko hai fun baaghee |In order to see the face of Krishna and full of lust,
ਡਾਰਿ ਚਲੀ ਸਿਰ ਕੇ ਪਟ ਇਉ ਜਨੁ ਡਾਰਿ ਚਲੀ ਸਭ ਲਾਜ ਬਹਾਘੀ ॥੪੫੦॥
ddaar chalee sir ke patt iau jan ddaar chalee sabh laaj bahaaghee |450|Even abandoning the head-dress, they are moving forsaking all shyness.450.
ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹ ਕੇ ਪਾਸਿ ਗਈ ਜਬ ਹੀ ਤਬ ਹੀ ਸਭ ਗੋਪਿਨ ਲੀਨ ਸੁ ਸੰਙਾ ॥
kaanrah ke paas gee jab hee tab hee sabh gopin leen su sangaa |When (she) went to Sri Krishna, then (Kanha) took all the gopis with him.
ਚੀਰ ਪਰੇ ਗਿਰ ਕੈ ਤਨ ਭੂਖਨ ਟੂਟ ਗਈ ਤਿਨ ਹਾਥਨ ਬੰਙਾ ॥
cheer pare gir kai tan bhookhan ttoott gee tin haathan bangaa |When the gopis reached near Krishna, their consciousness returned and they saw that their ornaments and garments had fallen down and in their impatience, the bangles of their hands had broken
ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹ ਕੋ ਰੂਪ ਨਿਹਾਰਿ ਸਭੈ ਗੁਪੀਆ ਕਬਿ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਭਈ ਇਕ ਰੰਙਾ ॥
kaanrah ko roop nihaar sabhai gupeea kab sayaam bhee ik rangaa |The poet Shyam (says) all the gopis (with Lord Krishna) became one color after seeing the form of Kanha.
ਹੋਇ ਗਈ ਤਨਮੈ ਸਭ ਹੀ ਇਕ ਰੰਗ ਮਨੋ ਸਭ ਛੋਡ ਕੈ ਸੰਙਾ ॥੪੫੧॥
hoe gee tanamai sabh hee ik rang mano sabh chhodd kai sangaa |451|Seeing the countenance of Krishna, became one with him and intoxicated with this unison they all cast away their shyness of body and mind.451.
ਗੋਪਿਨ ਭੂਲਿ ਗਈ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਕੀ ਸੁਧਿ ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹ ਹੀ ਕੇ ਰਸ ਭੀਤਰ ਰਾਚੀ ॥
gopin bhool gee grih kee sudh kaanrah hee ke ras bheetar raachee |Imbued with the love of Krishna, the gopis forgot the consciousness about their houses
ਭਉਹ ਭਰੀ ਮਧੁਰੀ ਬਰਨੀ ਸਭ ਹੀ ਸੁ ਢਰੀ ਜਨੁ ਮੈਨ ਕੇ ਸਾਚੀ ॥
bhauh bharee madhuree baranee sabh hee su dtaree jan main ke saachee |Their eyebrows and eyelashes were showering wine and it appeared that the god of love had himself created them
ਛੋਰ ਦਏ ਰਸ ਅਉਰਨ ਸ੍ਵਾਦ ਭਲੇ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਹੀ ਸੋ ਸਭ ਮਾਚੀ ॥
chhor de ras aauran svaad bhale bhagavaan hee so sabh maachee |(They) have given up all the juices and flavors and have become engrossed in the juice of Lord Kanha.
ਸੋਭਤ ਤਾ ਤਨ ਮੈ ਹਰਿ ਕੋ ਮਨੋ ਕੰਚਨ ਮੈ ਚੁਨੀਆ ਚੁਨਿ ਖਾਚੀ ॥੪੫੨॥
sobhat taa tan mai har ko mano kanchan mai chuneea chun khaachee |452|They forgot all other pleasures except their absorption in the love of Krishna and looked splendid like the select idols of gold heaped together.452.
ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹ ਕੋ ਰੂਪ ਨਿਹਾਰਿ ਰਹੀ ਬ੍ਰਿਜ ਮੈ ਜੁ ਹੁਤੀ ਗੁਪੀਆ ਅਤਿ ਹਾਛੀ ॥
kaanrah ko roop nihaar rahee brij mai ju hutee gupeea at haachhee |The most beautiful gopis of Braja are seeing the beauty of Krishna
