ਚਤੁਰਿ ਜਾਨਿ ਤਹ ਸਖੀ ਪਠਾਈ ॥
chatur jaan tah sakhee patthaaee |He sent a wise sage to him.
ਜ੍ਯੋਂ ਤ੍ਯੋਂ ਤਹਾ ਤਾਹਿ ਲੈ ਆਈ ॥
jayon tayon tahaa taeh lai aaee |(She) as how she brought him there.
ਰਾਜ ਸੁਤਾ ਤਾ ਸੌ ਰਤਿ ਮਾਨੀ ॥
raaj sutaa taa sau rat maanee |Raj Kumari played with him.
ਕੇਲ ਕਰਤ ਸਭ ਰਾਤਿ ਬਿਹਾਨੀ ॥੪॥
kel karat sabh raat bihaanee |4|He spent the whole night working. 4.
ਬਾਢਾ ਬਿਰਹ ਦੁਹਨ ਕੋ ਐਸਾ ॥
baadtaa birah duhan ko aaisaa |Such birah (love) of (them) both increased
ਹਮ ਤੇ ਭਾਖਿ ਨ ਜਾਈ ਕੈਸਾ ॥
ham te bhaakh na jaaee kaisaa |That I cannot describe what (he) was like.
ਏਕ ਛੋਰਿ ਇਕ ਅਨਤ ਨ ਜਾਵੈ ॥
ek chhor ik anat na jaavai |Leaving one, the other did not go anywhere.
ਪਲਕ ਓਟ ਜੁਗ ਕੋਟਿ ਬਿਹਾਵੈ ॥੫॥
palak ott jug kott bihaavai |5|The blink of an eye seemed like the passage of a million ages. 5.
ਕਾਮ ਭੋਗ ਕਰਿ ਬਦਾ ਸੰਕੇਤਾ ॥
kaam bhog kar badaa sanketaa |He indicated after having sex.
ਲਾਗਿਯੋ ਸਾਹ ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਸੋ ਹੇਤਾ ॥
laagiyo saah putr so hetaa |(She) fell in love with the Shah's son.
ਮੁਹਿ ਅਪਨੇ ਲੈ ਸੰਗ ਸਿਧਾਰੋ ॥
muhi apane lai sang sidhaaro |(Said if (you) take me with you
ਤਬ ਜਾਨੌ ਤੈ ਯਾਰ ਹਮਾਰੋ ॥੬॥
tab jaanau tai yaar hamaaro |6|I will consider you as my friend only then. 6.
ਤਾ ਸੌ ਰਤਿ ਕਰਿ ਧਾਮ ਸਿਧਾਯੋ ॥
taa sau rat kar dhaam sidhaayo |He played (with her) and went home.
ਕੀਯਾ ਜਤਨ ਜੋ ਹਿਤੂ ਸਿਖਾਯੋ ॥
keeyaa jatan jo hitoo sikhaayo |(He) made the same effort as Hitu (the lady) had taught.
ਬਸਤ੍ਰ ਬਹੁਤ ਬਹੁ ਮੋਲ ਪਠਾਏ ॥
basatr bahut bahu mol patthaae |He sent (purchased) clothes of great value.
ਪ੍ਰਥਮ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਕਹ ਸਕਲ ਦਿਖਾਏ ॥੭॥
pratham nripat kah sakal dikhaae |7|First show all to the king. 7.
ਪੁਨਿ ਰਨਿਵਾਸਹਿ ਪਠੈ ਬਨਾਏ ॥
pun ranivaaseh patthai banaae |Then they (the armor) were sent to Ranvas
ਰਾਜ ਸੁਤਹਿ ਅਸ ਗਯੋ ਜਤਾਏ ॥
raaj suteh as gayo jataae |And Raj Kumari was also told like this.
ਜੋ ਪਸੰਦ ਇਨ ਮੈ ਤੇ ਕੀਜੈ ॥
jo pasand in mai te keejai |Whichever you like,
ਸੋ ਦੇ ਬਸਤ੍ਰ ਮੋਲਿ ਮੁਰਿ ਲੀਜੈ ॥੮॥
so de basatr mol mur leejai |8|Take it by giving me a price. 8.

ਰਾਨੀ ਮਾਲੁ ਦਿਖਾਇ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਲੈ ਕੁਅਰਿ ਦਿਖਾਯੋ ॥
raanee maal dikhaae bahur lai kuar dikhaayo |After seeing (all) the goods (armour), the Rani then showed it to Raj Kumari.
ਲਪਟਿ ਤਰੁਨਿ ਤਿਹ ਮਾਹਿ ਆਪਨੋ ਅੰਗ ਦੁਰਾਯੋ ॥
lapatt tarun tih maeh aapano ang duraayo |Raj Kumari wrapped her body in those clothes and hid her body.
ਗਈ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਕੇ ਧਾਮ ਨ ਭੂਪ ਬਿਚਾਰਿਯੋ ॥
gee mitr ke dhaam na bhoop bichaariyo |(Then) she went to Mitra's house, but the king took no thought.
ਹੋ ਇਹ ਛਲ ਤਿਹ ਲੈ ਸਾਥ ਹਰੀਫ ਸਿਧਾਰਿਯੋ ॥੯॥
ho ih chhal tih lai saath hareef sidhaariyo |9|With this trick (he) 'rival' (Mitra) took him away. 9.

ਦੁਹਿਤਾ ਹਰੀ ਹਰੀਫ ਯੌ ਸਕਾ ਨ ਜੜ ਛਲ ਚੀਨ ॥੧੦॥
duhitaa haree hareef yau sakaa na jarr chhal cheen |10|Mitra took his daughter like this, he could not understand the foolish trick. 10.

ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬ੍ਰਿਜਰਾਜ ਸੈਨ ਤਹ ਰਾਜਾ ॥
sree brijaraaj sain tah raajaa |Brijraj Sen was the king there
ਜਾ ਕਹ ਨਿਰਖਿ ਇੰਦ੍ਰ ਅਤਿ ਲਾਜਾ ॥੧॥
jaa kah nirakh indr at laajaa |1|Seeing whom even Indra used to get embarrassed. 1.
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬ੍ਰਿਜਰਾਜ ਮਤੀ ਤਿਹ ਰਾਨੀ ॥
sree brijaraaj matee tih raanee |His queen was Brijraj Mati,
ਸੁੰਦਰਿ ਭਵਨ ਚਤਰਦਸ ਜਾਨੀ ॥
sundar bhavan chataradas jaanee |Who was considered beautiful among fourteen people.
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬਰੰਗਨਾ ਦੇ ਤਿਹ ਬਾਲਾ ॥
sree baranganaa de tih baalaa |They had a daughter named Barangana (Dei),
ਜਨੁ ਨਿਰਧੂਮ ਅਗਨਿ ਕੀ ਜ੍ਵਾਲਾ ॥੨॥
jan niradhoom agan kee jvaalaa |2|As if there is a flame without smoke. 2.
ਚਤੁਰਿ ਸਖੀ ਜਬ ਤਾਹਿ ਨਿਹਾਰੈ ॥
chatur sakhee jab taeh nihaarai |When wise friends looked at her,
ਮਧੁਰ ਬਚਨ ਮਿਲਿ ਐਸ ਉਚਾਰੈ ॥
madhur bachan mil aais uchaarai |So they used to speak such sweet words together.
ਜੈਸੀ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਦੁਤਿਯ ਨ ਜਈ ॥
jaisee ih hai dutiy na jee |As it is, no other is born.
ਆਗੇ ਹੋਇ ਨ ਪਾਛੇ ਭਈ ॥੩॥
aage hoe na paachhe bhee |3|It has not happened before, nor will it happen later. 3.
ਜਬ ਬਰੰਗਨਾ ਦੇਇ ਤਰੁਨਿ ਭੀ ॥
jab baranganaa dee tarun bhee |When Barangana Dei became young
ਲਰਿਕਾਪਨ ਕੀ ਬਾਤ ਬਿਸਰਿਗੀ ॥
larikaapan kee baat bisarigee |And childhood was forgotten (i.e. became young).
ਰਾਜ ਕੁਅਰ ਤਬ ਤਾਹਿ ਨਿਹਾਰਿਯੋ ॥
raaj kuar tab taeh nihaariyo |Then he saw (one) Raj Kumar
ਤਾ ਪਰ ਤਰੁਨਿ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਕਹ ਵਾਰਿਯੋ ॥੪॥
taa par tarun praan kah vaariyo |4|And Raj Kumari gave life blows to him (became enchanted) 4.
ਤਾ ਸੌ ਕਾਮ ਭੋਗ ਨਿਤ ਮਾਨੈ ॥
taa sau kaam bhog nit maanai |She used to play with him (Raj Kumar) every day
ਦ੍ਵੈ ਤੈ ਏਕ ਦੇਹ ਕਰਿ ਜਾਨੈ ॥
dvai tai ek deh kar jaanai |And both perceive (themselves) as one body.
