ਅਰਿ ਕਹਿ ਨਾਮ ਤੁਪਕ ਕੇ ਲਹੀਐ ॥

ar keh naam tupak ke laheeai |

(Then) say the word 'Ari' and take the name of the drop.

ਝੂਲਾ ਛੰਦ ਬੀਚਿ ਹਸਿ ਕਹੀਐ ॥੧੨੭੪॥

jhoolaa chhand beech has kaheeai |1274|

Saying the word “Dehda”, add the word “Pati” four times and then adding the word “ari” at the end, use smilingly the names of Tupak in Jhoolaa Stanza.1274.

ਪ੍ਰਾਣਦਤ ਪਦ ਪ੍ਰਿਥਮ ਭਣੀਜੈ ॥

praanadat pad pritham bhaneejai |

First recite the word 'Pranadat' (Amrit).

ਚਾਰ ਬਾਰ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਸਬਦ ਧਰੀਜੈ ॥

chaar baar nrip sabad dhareejai |

(Then) add the word 'Nrip' four times.

ਅਰਿ ਪਦ ਤਾ ਕੇ ਅੰਤਿ ਬਖਾਨਹੁ ॥

ar pad taa ke ant bakhaanahu |

Say the word 'ari' at the end of it.

ਸਭ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਨਾਮ ਤੁਪਕ ਕੇ ਜਾਨਹੁ ॥੧੨੭੫॥

sabh sree naam tupak ke jaanahu |1275|

Saying firstly the word “Praandat”, add the word “Nrip” four times and then adding the word “ari” at the end, know all the names of Tupak.1275.

ਜਰਾ ਸਬਦ ਕਹੁ ਮੁਖ ਸੋ ਆਦਿ ਬਖਾਨੀਐ ॥

jaraa sabad kahu mukh so aad bakhaaneeai |

First pronounce the word 'Jara' from the mouth.

ਰਿਪੁ ਕਹਿ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਪਦ ਬਾਰ ਚਾਰ ਫੁਨ ਠਾਨੀਐ ॥

rip keh nrip pad baar chaar fun tthaaneeai |

Then say 'ripu' and use the word 'nirip' four times.

ਸਤ੍ਰੁ ਸਬਦ ਕੋ ਤਾ ਕੇ ਅੰਤਿ ਬਖਾਨਿ ਕੈ ॥

satru sabad ko taa ke ant bakhaan kai |

At the end of that say the word 'Satru'.

ਹੋ ਸਕਲ ਤੁਪਕ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਲੀਜੀਐ ਜਾਨਿ ਕੈ ॥੧੨੭੬॥

ho sakal tupak ke naam leejeeai jaan kai |1276|

Uttering the word “Jaraa” form the mouth, add the word “Ripu” and then the word “Nrip” four times, then adding the word “Dhatru” at the end know the names of Tupak.1276.

ਪ੍ਰਿਥਮ ਬ੍ਰਿਧਤਾ ਸਬਦ ਉਚਾਰਨ ਕੀਜੀਐ ॥

pritham bridhataa sabad uchaaran keejeeai |

First pronounce the word 'firmness'.

ਸਤ੍ਰੁ ਸਬਦ ਕੋ ਤਾ ਕੇ ਅੰਤਿ ਭਨੀਜੀਐ ॥

satru sabad ko taa ke ant bhaneejeeai |

At the end of that say the word 'satru'.

ਬਹੁਰਿ ਸਤ੍ਰੁ ਪਦ ਤਿਹ ਉਪਰੰਤਿ ਬਖਾਨੀਐ ॥

bahur satru pad tih uparant bakhaaneeai |

After that recite the word 'Satru'.

ਹੋ ਸਕਲ ਤੁਪਕ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਚਤੁਰ ਚਿਤ ਜਾਨੀਐ ॥੧੨੭੭॥

ho sakal tupak ke naam chatur chit jaaneeai |1277|

Saying firstly the word “Vriddhatta”, add the word “Shatru” after that and also add the word “Shatru” again, then know all the names of Tupak.1277.

Add the word 'Hari' at the end of it.

ਅਰਿ ਪਦ ਮੁਖ ਤੇ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਬਖਾਨੈ ॥

ar pad mukh te bahur bakhaanai |

(Then) pronounce the word 'Ari' from the mouth.

ਨਾਮ ਤੁਪਕ ਕੇ ਹੋਇ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਨੈ ॥੧੨੭੮॥

naam tupak ke hoe pramaanai |1278|

Uttering the word “Jaraa”, add the word “Hari” to it and then uttering the word “ari” from the mouth, know all the names of Tupak authentically.1278.

ਆਲਸ ਸਬਦ ਸੁ ਮੁਖ ਤੇ ਆਦਿ ਬਖਾਨੀਐ ॥

Pronounce the word 'laziness' first.

ਚਾਰ ਬਾਰ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਸਬਦ ਸੁ ਹਰਿ ਕਹਿ ਠਾਨੀਐ ॥

chaar baar nrip sabad su har keh tthaaneeai |

(Then) adding the word 'Nrip' four times (at the end) add the word 'Hari'.

ਸਕਲ ਤੁਪਕ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਜਾਨ ਜੀਅ ਲੀਜੀਐ ॥

sakal tupak ke naam jaan jeea leejeeai |

Take (it) as the name of all the drops.

ਹੋ ਛੰਦ ਪਾਧੜੀ ਮਾਝ ਨਿਡਰ ਹੋਇ ਦੀਜੀਐ ॥੧੨੭੯॥

ho chhand paadharree maajh niddar hoe deejeeai |1279|

Saying the word “Aalasaya”, add the word “Nrip” four times the nadd the word “ari” and in this way know all the names of Tupak and use them fearlessly in Paadhari stanza.1279.

ਤਰੁਨ ਦੰਤ ਪਦ ਮੁਖ ਤੇ ਆਦਿ ਬਖਾਨੀਐ ॥

tarun dant pad mukh te aad bakhaaneeai |

First say 'Tarun Dant' (old age biting the youth) from mouth.

ਅਰਿ ਕਹਿ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਪਦ ਬਾਰ ਚਾਰ ਪੁਨਿ ਠਾਨੀਐ ॥

ar keh nrip pad baar chaar pun tthaaneeai |

Then add the word 'Nrip' four times by saying the word 'Ari'.

ਅਰਿ ਕਹਿ ਨਾਮ ਤੁਪਕ ਕੇ ਹ੍ਰਿਦੈ ਬਖਾਨੀਅਹਿ ॥

ar keh naam tupak ke hridai bakhaaneeeh |

(Then) understand the name of the drop in the heart by saying the word 'Ari'.

ਹੋ ਛੰਦ ਰੁਆਲਾ ਬਿਖੈ ਨਿਡਰ ਹੁਇ ਠਾਨੀਅਹਿ ॥੧੨੮੦॥

ho chhand ruaalaa bikhai niddar hue tthaaneeeh |1280|

Saying the word “Tarundant”, from the month, add the word “ari”, then uttering the word “Nrip” four times and adding the word “ari” describe the names of Tupak in Ruaalaa stanza.1280.

ਜੋਬਨਾਤ ਅੰਤਕ ਪਦ ਪ੍ਰਿਥਮ ਉਚਾਰੀਐ ॥

jobanaat antak pad pritham uchaareeai |

Pronounce the 'Jobanant Antak' verse first.

ਚਾਰ ਬਾਰ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਸਬਦ ਤਵਨ ਪਰ ਡਾਰੀਐ ॥

chaar baar nrip sabad tavan par ddaareeai |

(Then) add the word 'Nrip' to it four times.

ਅਰਿ ਕਹਿ ਨਾਮ ਤੁਪਕ ਕੇ ਚਤੁਰ ਪਛਾਨੀਐ ॥

ar keh naam tupak ke chatur pachhaaneeai |

(Then) identify it as the name of the drop by saying 'Ari'.

ਹੋ ਛੰਦ ਚਉਪਈ ਮਾਹਿ ਨਿਸੰਕ ਬਖਾਨੀਐ ॥੧੨੮੧॥

ho chhand chaupee maeh nisank bakhaaneeai |1281|

Saying the word “Yovnaantak”, add the word “Nrip” four times and then adding the word “ari” and recognize the names of Tupak, use them in CHaupai stanza.1281.

ਤਰੁਨ ਦੰਤ ਅਰਿ ਸਬਦ ਸੁ ਮੁਖ ਤੇ ਭਾਖੀਐ ॥

tarun dant ar sabad su mukh te bhaakheeai |

First say the words 'Tarun Dant Ari' by mouth.

ਚਤੁਰ ਬਾਰਿ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਸਬਦ ਤਵਨ ਕੇ ਰਾਖੀਐ ॥

chatur baar nrip sabad tavan ke raakheeai |

(Then) add the word 'Nrip' to it four times.

ਸਕਲ ਤੁਪਕ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਜਾਨ ਜੀਅ ਲੀਜੀਐ ॥

sakal tupak ke naam jaan jeea leejeeai |

Know (it) the name of every drop in your mind.

ਹੋ ਸੁਧਨਿ ਦੋਹਰਾ ਮਾਹਿ ਨਿਡਰ ਹੁਇ ਦੀਜੀਐ ॥੧੨੮੨॥

ho sudhan doharaa maeh niddar hue deejeeai |1282|

Saying the word “Tarundant ari,” add the word “Nrip” four times and in this way, use th names of Tupak consciously in Dohra stanza.1282.

ਜੋਬਨਾਰਿ ਅਰਿ ਪਦ ਕੋ ਆਦਿ ਬਖਾਨੀਐ ॥

jobanaar ar pad ko aad bakhaaneeai |

First explain the term 'jobnari ari'.

ਚਾਰ ਬਾਰ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਸਬਦ ਤਵਨ ਕੇ ਠਾਨੀਐ ॥

(Then) add the word 'Nrip' to it four times.

At the end of it say the word 'Satru'.

ਹੋ ਸਕਲ ਤੁਪਕ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਚਤੁਰ ਚਿਤਿ ਰਾਖੀਐ ॥੧੨੮੩॥

ho sakal tupak ke naam chatur chit raakheeai |1283|

Saying the words “Yovnaari ari”, add the word “Nrip” four times and uttering the word “Shatur” at the end know all the names of Tupak.1283.

ਚਤੁਰਥ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਅਰਿ ਪਦ ਆਦਿ ਬਖਾਨੀਐ ॥

chaturath avasathaa ar pad aad bakhaaneeai |

First pronounce the word 'ari' with 'fourth stage' (old age).

ਚਤੁਰ ਬਾਰ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਸਬਦ ਤਵਨ ਕੇ ਠਾਨੀਐ ॥

chatur baar nrip sabad tavan ke tthaaneeai |

Add to that (again) the word 'Nrip' four times.

ਸਤ੍ਰੁ ਸਬਦ ਕੋ ਅੰਤਿ ਸੁ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਬਖਾਨਿ ਕੈ ॥

Then say the word 'satru' at the end.
