ਸੰਗ ਨੰਦ ਕੇ ਅਉ ਉਨ ਗ੍ਵਾਰਨਿ ਕੇ ਚਰਚਾ ਕਰਿ ਗ੍ਯਾਨ ਕੀ ਫੇਰਿ ਫਿਰਿਯੋ ॥
sang nand ke aau un gvaaran ke charachaa kar gayaan kee fer firiyo |
ਤੁਮਰੋ ਮੁਖ ਭਾਨੁ ਨਿਹਾਰਤ ਹੀ ਤਮ ਸੋ ਦੁਖ ਥੋ ਸਭ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਿਯੋ ॥੯੫੭॥
tumaro mukh bhaan nihaarat hee tam so dukh tho sabh door kariyo |957|“I have come back after conversing on topics concerning on divine wisdom with the gopis and Nand and seeing your sun-like face my agony has ended.957.
ਤੁਮਰੇ ਪਗ ਭੇਟਿ ਗਯੋ ਜਬ ਹੀ ਤਬ ਹੀ ਫੁਨਿ ਨੰਦ ਕੇ ਧਾਮਿ ਗਯੋ ॥
tumare pag bhett gayo jab hee tab hee fun nand ke dhaam gayo |“Touching your feet, when I started, I reached at first at the house of Nand
ਤਿਹ ਕੋ ਕਰਿ ਕੈ ਹਰਿ ਗ੍ਯਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਬੋਧ ਉਠਿਯੋ ਚਲਿ ਗ੍ਵਾਰਨਿ ਪਾਸ ਅਯੋ ॥
tih ko kar kai har gayaan prabodh utthiyo chal gvaaran paas ayo |After talking to him on matters of divine wisdom, I came to the gopis
ਤੁਮਰੋ ਉਨ ਦੁਖ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਹਮ ਪੈ ਸੁਨਿ ਉਤਰ ਮੈ ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਦਯੋ ॥
tumaro un dukh kahiyo ham pai sun utar mai ih bhaat dayo |“They related to me their suffering because of their separation from you, I advised them to repeat ever the Name of Krishna
ਬਲਿ ਸ੍ਯਾਮਹਿ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਸਦਾ ਜਪੀਯੋ ਸੁਨਿ ਨਾਮਹਿ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਘਨੋ ਬਢਯੋ ॥੯੫੮॥
bal sayaameh sayaam sadaa japeeyo sun naameh prem ghano badtayo |958|After hearing your name, their love increasd greatly.”958.
ਊਧਵ ਸੰਦੇਸ ਬਾਚ ॥

ਗ੍ਵਾਰਨਿ ਮੋ ਸੰਗ ਐਸੇ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਹਮ ਓਰ ਤੇ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਕੇ ਪਾਇਨ ਪਈਯੈ ॥
gvaaran mo sang aaise kahiyo ham or te sayaam ke paaein peeyai |“The gopis asked me to touch your feet on their behalf
ਯੌ ਕਹੀਯੋ ਪੁਰ ਬਾਸਿਨ ਕੋ ਤਜਿ ਕੈ ਬ੍ਰਿਜ ਬਾਸਿਨ ਕੋ ਸੁਖੁ ਦਈਯੈ ॥
yau kaheeyo pur baasin ko taj kai brij baasin ko sukh deeyai |They also said : ‘ O Krishna! now leave the residents of the city and give comfort to the inhabitants of Braja,’
ਜਸੁਧਾ ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਕਰੀ ਬਿਨਤੀ ਬਿਨਤੀ ਕਹੀਯੋ ਸੰਗਿ ਪੂਤ ਕਨ੍ਰਹ੍ਰਹਈਯੈ ॥
jasudhaa ih bhaat karee binatee binatee kaheeyo sang poot kanrahraheeyai |
ਊਧਵ ਤਾ ਸੰਗ ਯੌ ਕਹੀਯੌ ਬਹੁਰੋ ਫਿਰਿ ਆਇ ਕੈ ਮਾਖਨ ਖਈਯੈ ॥੯੫੯॥
aoodhav taa sang yau kaheeyau bahuro fir aae kai maakhan kheeyai |959|“Yashoda also said, ‘Request my son on my behald to come again and eat the butter.’959.
ਅਉਰ ਕਹੀ ਬਿਨਤੀ ਤੁਮ ਪੈ ਸੁ ਸੁਨੋ ਅਰੁ ਅਉਰ ਨ ਬਾਤਨ ਡਾਰੋ ॥
aaur kahee binatee tum pai su suno ar aaur na baatan ddaaro |“They have also requested you, OKrishna! listen to that also
ਸੇ ਕਹਾ ਜਸੁਧਾ ਤੁਮ ਕੋ ਹਮ ਕੋ ਅਤਿ ਹੀ ਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਥ ਪਿਆਰੋ ॥
se kahaa jasudhaa tum ko ham ko at hee brijanaath piaaro |Yashoda said that the Lord of Braja was very dear to them,
ਤਾ ਤੇ ਕਰੋ ਨ ਕਛੂ ਗਨਤੀ ਹਮਰੋ ਸੁ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਤੁਮ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਬਿਚਾਰੋ ॥
taa te karo na kachhoo ganatee hamaro su kahiyo tum prem bichaaro |
ਤਾਹੀ ਤੇ ਬੇਗ ਤਜੋ ਮਥੁਰਾ ਉਠ ਕੈ ਅਬ ਹੀ ਬ੍ਰਿਜ ਪੂਤ ਪਧਾਰੋ ॥੯੬੦॥
taahee te beg tajo mathuraa utth kai ab hee brij poot padhaaro |960|“And her love was incomparable, therefore her son should immediately leave Matura and come Braja.960.
ਮਾਤ ਕਰੀ ਬਿਨਤੀ ਤੁਮ ਪੈ ਕਬਿ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਕਹੈ ਜੋਊ ਹੈ ਬ੍ਰਿਜਰਾਨੀ ॥
maat karee binatee tum pai kab sayaam kahai joaoo hai brijaraanee |“O Krishna! the queen of Braja, the mother Yashoda has made you this request
ਤਾਹੀ ਕੋ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਘਨੋ ਤੁਮ ਸੋਂ ਹਮ ਆਪਨੇ ਜੀ ਮਹਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਪਛਾਨੀ ॥
taahee ko prem ghano tum son ham aapane jee meh preet pachhaanee |I have also her great love in my mind,
ਤਾ ਤੇ ਕਹਿਓ ਤਜਿ ਕੈ ਮਥੁਰਾ ਬ੍ਰਿਜ ਆਵਹੁ ਯਾ ਬਿਧਿ ਬਾਤ ਬਖਾਨੀ ॥
taa te kahio taj kai mathuraa brij aavahu yaa bidh baat bakhaanee |“Therefore Yashoda has asked you to leave Mathura and come to Braja
ਇਆਨੇ ਹੁਤੇ ਤਬ ਮਾਨਤ ਥੇ ਅਬ ਸਿਆਨੇ ਭਏ ਤਬ ਏਕ ਨ ਮਾਨੀ ॥੯੬੧॥
eaane hute tab maanat the ab siaane bhe tab ek na maanee |961|Yashoda has also said, ‘O Krishna! when you were a child, you acceded to everything, but now when you have grown bigger, you are not acceding to even one request.961.
ਤਾਹੀ ਤੇ ਸੰਗ ਕਹੋ ਤੁਮਰੇ ਤਜਿ ਕੈ ਮਥੁਰਾ ਬ੍ਰਿਜ ਕੋ ਅਬ ਅਈਯੈ ॥
taahee te sang kaho tumare taj kai mathuraa brij ko ab aeeyai |“ ‘Leave Mathura and come to Braja
ਮਾਨ ਕੈ ਸੀਖ ਕਹੋ ਹਮਰੀ ਤਿਹ ਠਉਰ ਨਹੀ ਪਲਵਾ ਠਹਰਈਯੈ ॥
maan kai seekh kaho hamaree tih tthaur nahee palavaa tthahareeyai |Accept my saying and do not stay ever for a little while in Mathura,’ “
ਯੋਂ ਕਹਿ ਗ੍ਵਾਰਨੀਯਾ ਹਮ ਸੋ ਸਭ ਹੀ ਬ੍ਰਿਜ ਬਾਸਿਨ ਕੋ ਸੁਖ ਦਈਯੈ ॥
yon keh gvaaraneeyaa ham so sabh hee brij baasin ko sukh deeyai |“The gopis also said, Kindly give comfort to the residents of Braja
ਸੋ ਸੁਧ ਭੂਲ ਗਈ ਤੁਮ ਕੋ ਹਮਰੇ ਜਿਹ ਅਉਸਰ ਪਾਇਨ ਪਈਯੈ ॥੯੬੨॥
so sudh bhool gee tum ko hamare jih aausar paaein peeyai |962|You have forgotton that time when you used to fall at our feet.962.
ਤਾਹੀ ਤੇ ਤ੍ਯਾਗਿ ਰਹ੍ਯੋ ਮਥੁਰਾ ਕਬਿ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਕਹੈ ਬ੍ਰਿਜ ਮੈ ਫਿਰ ਆਵਹੁ ॥
taahee te tayaag rahayo mathuraa kab sayaam kahai brij mai fir aavahu |“ ‘O Krishna! Leave Mathura and come now to Braja
ਗ੍ਵਾਰਨਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਪਛਾਨ ਕਹ੍ਯੋ ਤਿਹ ਤੇ ਤਿਹ ਠਉਰ ਨ ਢੀਲ ਲਗਾਵਹੁ ॥
gvaaran preet pachhaan kahayo tih te tih tthaur na dteel lagaavahu |’ The gopis were saying under the impact of passionate love not to delay your coming further
ਯੋਂ ਕਹਿ ਪਾਇਨ ਪੈ ਹਮਰੇ ਹਮ ਸੰਗ ਕਹ੍ਯੋ ਸੁ ਤਹਾ ਤੁਮ ਜਾਵਹੁ ॥
yon keh paaein pai hamare ham sang kahayo su tahaa tum jaavahu |“The gopis falling at my feet said, ‘O Udhava! go and ask Krishna to come
ਜਾਇ ਕੈ ਆਵਹੁ ਯੋਂ ਕਹੀਯੋ ਹਮ ਕੋ ਸੁਖ ਹੋ ਤੁਮ ਹੂੰ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਵਹੁ ॥੯੬੩॥
jaae kai aavahu yon kaheeyo ham ko sukh ho tum hoon sukh paavahu |963|Tell him also to come here, he himself should feel comfortable and give comfort to us.963.
ਤਾ ਤੇ ਕਹਯੋ ਤਜਿ ਕੈ ਮਥੁਰਾ ਫਿਰ ਕੈ ਬ੍ਰਿਜ ਬਾਸਿਨ ਕੋ ਸੁਖ ਦੀਜੈ ॥
taa te kahayo taj kai mathuraa fir kai brij baasin ko sukh deejai |“ ‘O Krishna! Leave Mathura and now give happiness to the residents of Braja
ਆਵਹੁ ਫੇਰਿ ਕਹ੍ਯੋ ਬ੍ਰਿਜ ਮੈ ਇਹ ਕਾਮ ਕੀਏ ਤੁਮਰੋ ਨਹੀ ਛੀਜੈ ॥
aavahu fer kahayo brij mai ih kaam kee tumaro nahee chheejai |Come again to Braja and by doing this one task for us, you will not lose anything
ਆਇ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਦਿਖਾਵਹੁ ਰੂਪ ਕਹ੍ਯੋ ਜਿਹ ਦੇਖਤ ਹੀ ਮਨ ਜੀਜੈ ॥
aae kripaal dikhaavahu roop kahayo jih dekhat hee man jeejai |“ ‘O merciful! come and show your brilliance, we remain alive only on seeing you
ਕੁੰਜ ਗਲੀਨ ਮੈ ਫੇਰ ਕਹ੍ਯੋ ਹਮਰੇ ਅਧਰਾਨਨ ਕੋ ਰਸ ਲੀਜੈ ॥੯੬੪॥
kunj galeen mai fer kahayo hamare adharaanan ko ras leejai |964|O Krishna! come again and enjoy the relish of our amorous play in the alvoces.964.
ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਕਹ੍ਯੋ ਸੰਗ ਹੈ ਤੁਮਰੇ ਜੁ ਹੁਤੀ ਤੁਮ ਕੋ ਬ੍ਰਿਜ ਬੀਚ ਪ੍ਯਾਰੀ ॥
sayaam kahayo sang hai tumare ju hutee tum ko brij beech payaaree |“ ‘O Krishna! Only they are remembering you, for whom you had great love in Braja
ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹ ਰਚੇ ਪੁਰ ਬਾਸਿਨ ਸੋਂ ਕਬਹੂੰ ਨ ਹੀਏ ਬ੍ਰਿਜ ਨਾਰਿ ਚਿਤਾਰੀ ॥
kaanrah rache pur baasin son kabahoon na hee brij naar chitaaree |Now Krishna is living with the residents of the city and he has now not even remembered the women of Braja
ਪੰਥ ਨਿਹਾਰਤ ਨੈਨਨ ਕੀ ਕਬਿ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਕਹੈ ਪੁਤਰੀ ਦੋਊ ਹਾਰੀ ॥
panth nihaarat nainan kee kab sayaam kahai putaree doaoo haaree |“ ‘Our eyes are feeling tired on looking for the arrival of Krishna
ਊਧਵ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਸੋ ਯੋਂ ਕਹੀਯੋ ਤੁਮਰੇ ਬਿਨ ਭੀ ਸਭ ਗ੍ਵਾਰਿ ਬਿਚਾਰੀ ॥੯੬੫॥
aoodhav sayaam so yon kaheeyo tumare bin bhee sabh gvaar bichaaree |965|O Udhava! tell Krishna that without you all the gopis have become helpless.965.
ਅਉਰ ਕਹੀ ਤੁਮ ਸੌ ਹਰਿ ਜੂ ਬ੍ਰਿਖਭਾਨ ਸੁਤਾ ਤੁਮ ਕੋ ਜੋਊ ਪ੍ਯਾਰੀ ॥
aaur kahee tum sau har joo brikhabhaan sutaa tum ko joaoo payaaree |
ਜਾ ਦਿਨ ਤੇ ਬ੍ਰਿਜ ਤ੍ਯਾਗ ਗਏ ਦਿਨ ਤਾ ਕੀ ਨਹੀ ਹਮਹੂ ਹੈ ਸੰਭਾਰੀ ॥
jaa din te brij tayaag ge din taa kee nahee hamahoo hai sanbhaaree |“ ‘O Krishna! Your dear Radha has said that she has not been able to control herself since the day when you left Braja
ਆਵਹੁ ਤ੍ਯਾਗਿ ਅਬੈ ਮਥੁਰਾ ਤੁਮਰੇ ਬਿਨ ਗੀ ਅਬ ਹੋਇ ਬਿਚਾਰੀ ॥
aavahu tayaag abai mathuraa tumare bin gee ab hoe bichaaree |“ ‘You may come, leaving Mathura immediately, we are helpless without you
ਮੈ ਤੁਮ ਸਿਉ ਹਰਿ ਮਾਨ ਕਰ੍ਯੋ ਤਜ ਆਵਹੁ ਮਾਨ ਅਬੈ ਹਮ ਹਾਰੀ ॥੯੬੬॥
mai tum siau har maan karayo taj aavahu maan abai ham haaree |966|I had been very egoistic with you, come to me, I accept defeat.966.
ਤ੍ਯਾਗ ਗਏ ਹਮ ਕੋ ਕਿਹ ਹੇਤ ਤੇ ਬਾਤ ਕਛੂ ਤੁਮਰੀ ਨ ਬਿਗਾਰੀ ॥
tayaag ge ham ko kih het te baat kachhoo tumaree na bigaaree |
ਪਾਇਨ ਮੋ ਪਰ ਕੈ ਸੁਨੀਯੈ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਏ ਬਤੀਯਾ ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਉਚਾਰੀ ॥
paaein mo par kai suneeyai prabh e bateeyaa ih bhaat uchaaree |“ ‘We had not harmed you in any way, why have you forsaken us? O Lord! falling at my feet Radha said this:
ਆਪ ਰਚੇ ਪੁਰ ਬਾਸਿਨ ਸੋ ਮਨ ਤੇ ਸਬ ਹੀ ਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਰ ਬਿਸਾਰੀ ॥
aap rache pur baasin so man te sab hee brijanaar bisaaree |“ ‘O Krishna! you have absorbed yourself with the residents of the city, forgetting the women of Braja
ਮਾਨ ਕਰਿਯੋ ਤੁਮ ਸੋ ਘਟ ਕਾਮ ਕਰਿਯੋ ਅਬ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਹਹਾ ਹਮ ਹਾਰੀ ॥੯੬੭॥
maan kariyo tum so ghatt kaam kariyo ab sayaam hahaa ham haaree |967|O Krishna! we had shown persistence towards you, but now we feel defeated.’967.
ਅਉਰ ਕਰੀ ਤੁਮ ਸੋ ਬਿਨਤੀ ਸੋਊ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਕਹੈ ਚਿਤ ਦੈ ਸੁਨਿ ਲੀਜੈ ॥
aaur karee tum so binatee soaoo sayaam kahai chit dai sun leejai |“They have further said this thing to you, ‘O Krishna! listen to it with all your heart
ਖੇਲਤ ਥੀ ਤੁਮ ਸੋ ਬਨ ਮੈ ਤਿਹ ਅਉਸਰ ਕੀ ਕਬਹੂੰ ਸੁਧਿ ਕੀਜੈ ॥
khelat thee tum so ban mai tih aausar kee kabahoon sudh keejai |We used to play with you some time, O Krishna! do remember that occasion some time
ਗਾਵਤ ਥੀ ਤੁਮ ਪੈ ਮਿਲ ਕੈ ਜਿਹ ਕੀ ਸੁਰ ਤੇ ਕਛੁ ਤਾਨ ਨ ਛੀਜੈ ॥
gaavat thee tum pai mil kai jih kee sur te kachh taan na chheejai |“ ‘We used to sing with you in a lengthened tune
ਤਾ ਕੋ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਤਿਹ ਕੀ ਸੁਧਿ ਕੈ ਬਹੁਰੋ ਬ੍ਰਿਜ ਬਾਸਿਨ ਕੋ ਸੁਖ ਦੀਜੈ ॥੯੬੮॥
taa ko kahiyo tih kee sudh kai bahuro brij baasin ko sukh deejai |968|We have asked you to remember all this, O Krishna! communicate again with the residents of Braja.968.
