ਸਵੈਯਾ ॥
savaiyaa |SWAYYA
ਕੋਪ ਕੀਏ ਸਬ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਲੀਏ ਕਰ ਮੈ ਮਿਲ ਕੈ ਤਿਹ ਪੈ ਤਬ ਆਏ ॥
kop kee sab sasatr lee kar mai mil kai tih pai tab aae |In great rage, taking their weapons in their hands, all of them together fell upon the king
ਭੂਪ ਨਿਖੰਗ ਤੇ ਕਾਢ ਕੈ ਬਾਨ ਕਮਾਨ ਕੋ ਤਾਨਿ ਸੁ ਖੈਚ ਚਲਾਏ ॥
bhoop nikhang te kaadt kai baan kamaan ko taan su khaich chalaae |The king, taking out the arrows from his quiver, discharged them, pulling his bow
ਹੋਤ ਭਏ ਬਿਰਥੀ ਬਿਨੁ ਸੂਤ ਘਨੇ ਤਬ ਹੀ ਜਮਲੋਕਿ ਪਠਾਏ ॥
hot bhe birathee bin soot ghane tab hee jamalok patthaae |The warriors and charioteers were deprived of their chariots and the king dispatched them to the abode of Yama
ਠਾਢੋ ਨ ਕੋਊ ਰਹਿਓ ਤਿਹ ਠੌਰ ਸਬੈ ਗਨ ਕਿੰਨਰ ਜਛ ਪਰਾਏ ॥੧੪੯੩॥
tthaadto na koaoo rahio tih tthauar sabai gan kinar jachh paraae |1493|None of them could stay at that place all the Yakshas and Kinnars fled away.1493.
ਰੋਸ ਘਨੋ ਨਲ ਕੂਬਰ ਕੈ ਸੁ ਫਿਰਿਯੋ ਲਰਬੇ ਕਹੁ ਬੀਰ ਬੁਲਾਏ ॥
ros ghano nal koobar kai su firiyo larabe kahu beer bulaae |Then, in his fury, Nalkoober called his warriors for fighting
ਸਉਹੇ ਕੁਬੇਰ ਭਯੋ ਧਨੁ ਲੈ ਸਰ ਜਛ ਜਿਤੇ ਮਿਲ ਕੈ ਪੁਨਿ ਆਏ ॥
sauhe kuber bhayo dhan lai sar jachh jite mil kai pun aae |Kuber also stood there keeping his wealth in safety, all the Yakshas then came collectively
ਮਾਰ ਹੀ ਮਾਰ ਪੁਕਾਰਿ ਪਰੇ ਸਬ ਹੀ ਕਰ ਮੈ ਅਸਿ ਲੈ ਚਮਕਾਏ ॥
maar hee maar pukaar pare sab hee kar mai as lai chamakaae |
ਮਾਨਹੁ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਖੜਗੇਸ ਕੇ ਊਪਰਿ ਦੰਡ ਲੀਏ ਜਮ ਕੇ ਗਨ ਧਾਏ ॥੧੪੯੪॥
maanahu sree kharrages ke aoopar dandd lee jam ke gan dhaae |1494|Shouting “kill, kill” they gleamed their swords and it seemed that the ganas of Yama and attacked Kharag Singh, carrying their staff of death.1494.

ਜਬ ਕੁਬੇਰ ਕੋ ਸਬ ਦਲੁ ਆਯੋ ॥
jab kuber ko sab dal aayo |
ਤਬ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਮਨ ਮੈ ਕੋਪ ਬਢਾਯੋ ॥
tab nrip man mai kop badtaayo |When the whole army of Kuber came, the anger increased in the mind of the king
ਨਿਜ ਕਰ ਮੈ ਧਨੁ ਬਾਨ ਸੰਭਾਰਿਓ ॥
nij kar mai dhan baan sanbhaario |
ਅਗਨਤ ਦਲੁ ਇਕ ਪਲ ਮੈ ਮਾਰਿਓ ॥੧੪੯੫॥
aganat dal ik pal mai maario |1495|He held up the bow and arrows in his hands and killed innumerable soldiers in an instant.1495.

ਜਛ ਸੈਨ ਬਲਬੰਡ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਜਮ ਪੁਰ ਦਈ ਪਠਾਇ ॥
jachh sain balabandd nrip jam pur dee patthaae |
ਨਲ ਕੂਬਰ ਘਾਇਲ ਕੀਓ ਅਤਿ ਜੀਯ ਕੋਪੁ ਬਢਾਇ ॥੧੪੯੬॥
nal koobar ghaaeil keeo at jeey kop badtaae |1496|The mighty army of the Yakshas was dispatched to the abode of Yama by the king and getting enraged, wounded Nalkoober.1496.
ਜਬ ਕੁਬੇਰ ਕੇ ਉਰ ਬਿਖੈ ਮਾਰਿਓ ਤੀਛਨ ਬਾਨ ॥
jab kuber ke ur bikhai maario teechhan baan |
ਲਾਗਤ ਸਰ ਕੇ ਸਟਕਿਓ ਛੂਟਿ ਗਯੋ ਸਬ ਮਾਨ ॥੧੪੯੭॥
laagat sar ke sattakio chhoott gayo sab maan |1497|Then the king inflicted a sharp arrow in the chest of Kuber, which made him run away and all his pride was shattered.1497.

ਸੈਨਾ ਸਹਿਤ ਸਬੈ ਭਜ ਗਯੋ ॥
sainaa sahit sabai bhaj gayo |
ਠਾਢੋ ਨ ਕੋ ਰਨ ਭੀਤਰ ਭਯੋ ॥
tthaadto na ko ran bheetar bhayo |All of them ran away alongwith the army and none of them kept standing there
ਮਨਿ ਕੁਬੇਰ ਅਤਿ ਤ੍ਰਾਸ ਬਢਾਯੋ ॥
man kuber at traas badtaayo |
ਜੁਧ ਕਰਨ ਚਿਤਿ ਬਹੁਰ ਨ ਭਾਯੋ ॥੧੪੯੮॥
judh karan chit bahur na bhaayo |1498|Kuber was extremely frightened in his mind and his desire to fight again ended.1498.
