ਪੁਨਿ ਜਾ ਕੀ ਕਲਾ ਗਿਰਿ ਰੂਖਨ ਮੈ ਸਸਿ ਪੂਖਨ ਮੈ ਮਘਵਾ ਘਨ ਮੈ ॥
pun jaa kee kalaa gir rookhan mai sas pookhan mai maghavaa ghan mai |“And whose power is present in the mountain, tree, sun, moon, Indra and clouds also
ਤੁਮ ਹੂੰ ਨਹੀ ਜਾਨੀ ਭਵਾਨੀ ਕਲਾ ਜਗ ਮਾਨੀ ਕੋ ਧ੍ਯਾਨੁ ਕਰੋ ਮਨ ਮੈ ॥੧੩੨੭॥
tum hoon nahee jaanee bhavaanee kalaa jag maanee ko dhayaan karo man mai |1327|You have not adored that Bhavani, therefore now meditate on her.1327.
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥
doharaa |DOHRA
ਸਕਤਿ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਰੁ ਸਕਤਿ ਸੋ ਮਾਗਿ ਲਯੋ ਬਲਵਾਨਿ ॥
sakat singh bar sakat so maag layo balavaan |Strong Shakti Singh has asked for a boon from Shakti (Chandi).
ਤਾਹੀ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਤੇ ਰਨ ਜੀਤਤ ਨਹੀ ਹਾਨਿ ॥੧੩੨੮॥
taahee ke prasaad te ran jeetat nahee haan |1328|“Shakti Singh has with his austerities, obtained the boon from the Lord and through His Grace, he is winning the war and he is not losing anything.1328.
ਸਿਵ ਸੂਰਜ ਸਸਿ ਸਚੀਪਤਿ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਬਿਸਨੁ ਸੁਰ ਕੋਇ ॥
siv sooraj sas sacheepat braham bisan sur koe |Shiva, Sun, Moon, Indra, Brahma, Vishnu any god
ਜੋ ਇਹ ਸੋ ਰਿਸ ਕੈ ਲਰੈ ਜੀਤ ਨ ਜੈ ਹੈ ਸੋਇ ॥੧੩੨੯॥
jo ih so ris kai larai jeet na jai hai soe |1329|“If any of the gods like Shiva, sun, moon, Indra, Brahma, Vishnu or any other wages the war with him, he will not be able to conquer him.1329.
ਸਵੈਯਾ ॥

ਜਉ ਹਰ ਆਇ ਭਿਰੇ ਇਹ ਸੋ ਨਹੀ ਦੇਖਤ ਹੋਂ ਬਲੁ ਹੈ ਤਿਨ ਮੋ ॥
jau har aae bhire ih so nahee dekhat hon bal hai tin mo |“If the god Shiva fights with him, he also does not have so much strength so as to victorious over him
ਚਤੁਰਾਨਨ ਅਉਰੁ ਖੜਾਨਨ ਬਿਸਨੁ ਘਨੋ ਬਲ ਹੈ ਸੁ ਕਹਿਓ ਜਿਨ ਮੋ ॥
chaturaanan aaur kharraanan bisan ghano bal hai su kahio jin mo |Brahma, Kartikeya, Vishnu etc.
ਪੁਨਿ ਭੂਤ ਪਿਸਾਚ ਸੁਰਾਦਿਕ ਜੇ ਅਸੁਰਾਦਿਕ ਹੈ ਗਨਤੀ ਕਿਨ ਮੋ ॥
pun bhoot pisaach suraadik je asuraadik hai ganatee kin mo |“Who are considered very powerful and the ghosts, fiends gods and demons etc. are all powerless aginst him
ਜਦੁਬੀਰ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਸਬ ਬੀਰਨ ਸੋਂ ਸੁ ਇਤੋ ਬਲ ਭੂਪ ਧਰੈ ਇਨ ਮੋ ॥੧੩੩੦॥
jadubeer kahiyo sab beeran son su ito bal bhoop dharai in mo |1330|” Then Krishna said to all the Yadavas, “This king has so much power.”1330.
ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹ ਜੂ ਬਾਚ ॥
kaanrah joo baach |Speech of Krishna:
ਸਵੈਯਾ ॥

ਜੁਧੁ ਕਰੋ ਤੁਮ ਜਾਹੁ ਉਤੈ ਇਤ ਹਉ ਹੀ ਭਵਾਨੀ ਕੋ ਜਾਪੁ ਜਪੈਹਉ ॥
judh karo tum jaahu utai it hau hee bhavaanee ko jaap japaihau |“You may go and fight with him and I myself shall repeat the name of the goddess
ਐਸੇ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਜਦੁਬੀਰ ਅਬੈ ਅਤਿ ਹੀ ਹਿਤ ਭਾਵ ਤੇ ਥਾਪ ਥਪੈਹਉ ॥
aaise kahiyo jadubeer abai at hee hit bhaav te thaap thapaihau |I shall establish the goddess with utmost devotion so that she may manifest herself,
ਹੈ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਤਛ ਕਹੈ ਬਰ ਮਾਗ ਹਨੋ ਸਕਤੇਸਿ ਇਹੈ ਬਰੁ ਲੈਹਉ ॥
hai ke pratachh kahai bar maag hano sakates ihai bar laihau |“And ask me for her boon and I shall ask her to bestow me the boon of victory over Shakti Singh
ਤਉ ਚੜ ਕੈ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਰਥ ਪੈ ਅਬ ਹੀ ਰਨ ਮੈ ਇਹ ਕੋ ਬਧ ਕੈਹਉ ॥੧੩੩੧॥
tau charr kai apune rath pai ab hee ran mai ih ko badh kaihau |1331|Then mounting on the chariot I shall kill him.”1331.
ਕਬਿਯੋ ਬਾਚ ॥

ਬੀਰ ਪਠੇ ਜਦੁਬੀਰ ਉਤੈ ਇਤ ਭੂਮਿ ਮੈ ਬੈਠਿ ਸਿਵਾ ਜਪੁ ਕੀਨੋ ॥
beer patthe jadubeer utai it bhoom mai baitth sivaa jap keeno |Krishna, on that side, sent the Yadavas for fighting and he himself, on this side, began to repeat the name of the goddess
ਅਉਰ ਦਈ ਸੁਧਿ ਛਾਡਿ ਸਬੈ ਤਬ ਤਾਹੀ ਕੇ ਧ੍ਯਾਨ ਬਿਖੈ ਮਨੁ ਦੀਨੋ ॥
aaur dee sudh chhaadd sabai tab taahee ke dhayaan bikhai man deeno |He, forgetting all his consciousness, absorbed his mind only in the meditation of the goddess
ਚੰਡਿ ਤਬੈ ਪਰਤਛ ਭਈ ਬਰੁ ਮਾਗਹੁ ਜੋ ਮਨ ਮੈ ਜੋਈ ਚੀਨੋ ॥
chandd tabai paratachh bhee bar maagahu jo man mai joee cheeno |Then the goddess manifested herself and said, “You may ask for the boon that you want
ਯਾ ਅਰਿ ਆਜ ਹਨੋ ਰਨ ਮੈ ਘਨ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਜੂ ਮਾਗਿ ਇਹੈ ਬਰ ਲੀਨੋ ॥੧੩੩੨॥
yaa ar aaj hano ran mai ghan sayaam joo maag ihai bar leeno |1332|” On this, Krishna asked for the destruction of Shakti Singh on that day.1332.
ਯੌ ਬਰੁ ਪਾਇ ਚੜਿਯੋ ਰਥ ਪੈ ਹਰਿ ਜੂ ਮਨ ਬੀਚ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨਿ ਭਯੋ ॥
yau bar paae charriyo rath pai har joo man beech prasan bhayo |In this way, obtaining the boon, Krishna mounted on the chariot with pleased mind
ਜਪੁ ਕੈ ਜੁ ਭਵਾਨੀ ਤੇ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਕਹੈ ਅਰਿ ਮਾਰਨ ਕੋ ਬਰੁ ਮਾਗ ਲਯੋ ॥
jap kai ju bhavaanee te sayaam kahai ar maaran ko bar maag layo |The poet Shyam says that on account of his repetition of the name, he obtained the boon of killing the enemy
ਸਬ ਆਯੁਧ ਲੈ ਬਰਬੀਰ ਬਲੀ ਹੂ ਕੇ ਸਾਮੁਹੇ ਤਉ ਜਦੁਬੀਰ ਗਯੋ ॥
sab aayudh lai barabeer balee hoo ke saamuhe tau jadubeer gayo |Taking all his weapons, Krishna went before that mighty warrior and the hope of victory,
ਮਨੋ ਜੀਤ ਕੇ ਅੰਕੁਰ ਜਾਤ ਰਹਿਯੋ ਹੁਤੋ ਯਾ ਬਰ ਤੇ ਉਪਜਿਯੋ ਸੁ ਨਯੋ ॥੧੩੩੩॥
mano jeet ke ankur jaat rahiyo huto yaa bar te upajiyo su nayo |1333|That was on the verge of its end, a new sprout erupted on account of this boon.1333.
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥

ਸਕਤਿ ਸਿੰਘ ਉਤ ਸਮਰ ਮੈ ਬਹੁਤ ਹਨੇ ਬਰ ਸੂਰ ॥
sakat singh ut samar mai bahut hane bar soor |On the other hand, Shakti Singh has killed many good warriors in the battlefield.
ਤਬ ਹੀ ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਤਨਨ ਸਿਉ ਭੂਮਿ ਰਹੀ ਭਰਪੂਰਿ ॥੧੩੩੪॥
tab hee tin ke tanan siau bhoom rahee bharapoor |1334|Shakti Singh knocked down many warriors in the battlefield and the earth was earth was filled with their dead bodies.1334.
ਸਵੈਯਾ ॥

ਜੁਧੁ ਕਰੇ ਸਕਤੇਸ ਬਲੀ ਤਿਹ ਠਾ ਹਰਿ ਆਇ ਕੈ ਰੂਪੁ ਦਿਖਾਯੋ ॥
judh kare sakates balee tih tthaa har aae kai roop dikhaayo |The place, where the powerful Shakti Singh was fighting, Krishna reached there and said, “You may stop now
ਜਾਤ ਕਹਾ ਰਹੁ ਰੇ ਥਿਰ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਅਬ ਹਉ ਤੁਮ ਪੈ ਬਲੁ ਕੈ ਇਤ ਆਇਓ ॥
jaat kahaa rahu re thir hvai ab hau tum pai bal kai it aaeio |Where are you going? I have deliberately come here.”
ਕੋਪ ਗਦਾ ਕਰ ਲੈ ਘਨ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਸੁ ਸਤ੍ਰ ਕੇ ਸੀਸ ਪੈ ਘਾਉ ਲਗਾਯੋ ॥
kop gadaa kar lai ghan sayaam su satr ke sees pai ghaau lagaayo |In great fury, Krishna struck a blow with his mace on the head of the enemy and with that remembering Chandi in his mind, Shakti Singh breathed his last
ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਤਜਿਓ ਮਨਿ ਚੰਡਿ ਭਜਿਓ ਤਿਹ ਕੋ ਤਨੁ ਤਾਹਿ ਕੇ ਲੋਕਿ ਸਿਧਾਰਿਓ ॥੧੩੩੫॥
praan tajio man chandd bhajio tih ko tan taeh ke lok sidhaario |1335|The body of Shakti Singh also went to the region of Chandi.1335.
ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਚਲਿਯੋ ਤਿਹ ਕੋ ਤਬ ਹੀ ਜਬ ਹੀ ਤਨ ਚੰਡਿ ਕੇ ਲੋਗ ਪਧਾਰਿਓ ॥
praan chaliyo tih ko tab hee jab hee tan chandd ke log padhaario |With the body going to the region of Chandi, his Pranas (life-breaths) also moved
ਸੂਰਜ ਇੰਦ੍ਰ ਸਨਾਦਿਕ ਜੇ ਸੁਰ ਹੂੰ ਮਿਲਿ ਕੈ ਜਸੁ ਤਾਹਿ ਉਚਾਰਿਓ ॥
sooraj indr sanaadik je sur hoon mil kai jas taeh uchaario |The gods like Surya, Indra, Sanak, Sanandan etc., began to describe his praises
ਐਸੋ ਨ ਆਗੇ ਲਰਿਯੋ ਰਨ ਮੈ ਕੋਊ ਅਪਨੀ ਬੈਸਿ ਮੈ ਨਾਹਿ ਨਿਹਾਰਿਓ ॥
aaiso na aage lariyo ran mai koaoo apanee bais mai naeh nihaario |They all said, “We have not seen such a fighter in our life
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਸਕਤੇਸ ਬਲੀ ਧਨਿ ਹੈ ਹਰਿ ਸੋ ਲਰਿ ਕੈ ਪਰਲੋਕਿ ਸਿਧਾਰਿਓ ॥੧੩੩੬॥
sree sakates balee dhan hai har so lar kai paralok sidhaario |1336|Bravo to the mighty warrior Shakti Singh, who has reached the next world after fighting with Krishna.1336.
ਚੌਪਈ ॥

ਜਬੈ ਚੰਡਿ ਕੋ ਹਰਿ ਬਰੁ ਪਾਯੋ ॥
jabai chandd ko har bar paayo |When Lord Krishna received a boon from Chandi
ਸਕਤਿ ਸਿੰਘ ਕੋ ਮਾਰਿ ਗਿਰਾਯੋ ॥
sakat singh ko maar giraayo |When Krishna obtained the boon from Chandi, then he knocked down Shakti Singh
ਅਉਰ ਸਤ੍ਰ ਬਹੁ ਗਏ ਪਰਾਈ ॥
aaur satr bahu ge paraaee |Many more enemies fled,
ਰਵਿ ਨਿਹਾਰਿ ਜ੍ਯੋਂ ਤਮ ਨ ਰਹਾਈ ॥੧੩੩੭॥
rav nihaar jayon tam na rahaaee |1337|Many of other enemies ran away like the darkness on seeing the sun.1337.
ਇਤਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਨਾਟਕ ਗ੍ਰੰਥੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸਨਾਵਤਾਰੇ ਜੁਧ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧੇ ਦੁਆਦਸ ਭੂਪ ਸਕਤਿ ਸਿੰਘ ਸੁਧਾ ਬਧਹਿ ਧਯਾਇ ਸਮਾਪਤੰ ॥
