ਤ੍ਯਾਗਿ ਸਕੈ ਗਰ ਲਾਗਿ ਸਕੈ ਰਸ ਪਾਗਿ ਸਕੈ ਨ ਇਹੈ ਠਹਰਾਈ ॥
tayaag sakai gar laag sakai ras paag sakai na ihai tthaharaaee |‘Neither I can abandon her, nor I can relish her in such a condition.
ਝੂਲਿ ਗਿਰਿਯੋ ਛਿਤ ਭੁਲ ਗਈ ਸੁਧਿ ਕਾ ਗਤਿ ਮੋਰੇ ਬਿਸ੍ਵਾਸ ਬਨਾਈ ॥੧੨॥
jhool giriyo chhit bhul gee sudh kaa gat more bisvaas banaaee |12|‘I have been downed to doom and all my perceptibility has abandoned me.’

ਪਹਰ ਏਕ ਬੀਤੇ ਪੁਨ ਜਾਗਿਯੋ ॥
pahar ek beete pun jaagiyo |Woke up again after one hour passed.
ਤ੍ਰਸਤ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਾ ਕੇ ਗਰ ਸੋ ਲਾਗਿਯੋ ॥
trasat triyaa ke gar so laagiyo |He woke up after another watch had passed and, under extreme compulsion, took the woman in the embrace.
ਜੋ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਵਹੈ ਤਿਨ ਕੀਨੋ ॥
jo triy kahiyo vahai tin keeno |He did what the woman said
ਬਹੁਰਿ ਨਾਹਿ ਕੋ ਨਾਮੁ ਨ ਲੀਨੋ ॥੧੩॥
bahur naeh ko naam na leeno |13|Whatever she asked for he did and, thereafter, never yearned for a woman.(13)(1)

ਤਿਰਹੁਤ ਮੈ ਤਿਰਹੁਤ ਪੁਰ ਭਾਰੋ ॥
tirahut mai tirahut pur bhaaro |There was a big city called Tirhut in Tirhut Pradesh
ਤਿਹੂੰ ਲੋਕ ਭੀਤਰ ਉਜਿਯਾਰੋ ॥
tihoon lok bheetar ujiyaaro |In the country of Tirhat, there was a large town of Tirhatpur, which was renowned in all the three domains.
ਜੰਤ੍ਰ ਕਲਾ ਰਾਨੀ ਇਕ ਤਾ ਕੇ ॥
jantr kalaa raanee ik taa ke |There was a queen named Jantra Kala.
ਰੁਦ੍ਰ ਕਲਾ ਦੁਹਿਤਾ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਵਾ ਕੇ ॥੧॥
rudr kalaa duhitaa grih vaa ke |1|Jantar Kala was one of its Ranis; she had a daughter named Ruder Kala.(1)
ਲਰਿਕਾਪਨ ਤਾ ਕੋ ਜਬ ਗਯੋ ॥
larikaapan taa ko jab gayo |When his childhood passed
ਜੋਬਨ ਆਇ ਦਮਾਮੋ ਦਯੋ ॥
joban aae damaamo dayo |When her childhood gave way and youth glittered,
ਇਕ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਸੁਤ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਤਿਹ ਲਹਿਯੋ ॥
eik nrip sut sundar tih lahiyo |He saw a handsome Rajkumar (so).
ਹਰ ਅਰਿ ਸਰ ਤਾ ਕੋ ਤਨ ਦਹਿਯੋ ॥੨॥
har ar sar taa ko tan dahiyo |2|She came across a handsome prince and seeing him she experienced the fire of passion.(2)

ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਸੁਤ ਅਤਿ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਘਨੋ ਸੰਬਰਾਤ੍ਰਿ ਤਿਹ ਨਾਮ ॥
nrip sut at sundar ghano sanbaraatr tih naam |The prince was very ravishingly attractive and his name was Sanbratra.
ਤੰਤ੍ਰ ਕਲਾ ਤਾ ਕੌ ਸਦਾ ਜਪਤ ਆਠਹੂੰ ਜਾਮ ॥੩॥
tantr kalaa taa kau sadaa japat aatthahoon jaam |3|Tantra (Ruder) Kala remained imbued in his thought all the eight watches of the day.(3)

ਭੇਜਿ ਸਹਚਰੀ ਤਾਹਿ ਬੁਲਾਯੋ ਨਿਜੁ ਸਦਨ ॥
bhej sahacharee taeh bulaayo nij sadan |She sent her maid and called him to her place.
ਕਾਮ ਭੋਗ ਤਿਹ ਸੰਗ ਕਰਿਯੋ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਛੋਰਿ ਮਨ ॥
kaam bhog tih sang kariyo triy chhor man |She made love with him in full swing.
ਭਾਤਿ ਭਾਤਿ ਕੈ ਆਸਨ ਲਏ ਸੁਧਾਰਿ ਕੈ ॥
bhaat bhaat kai aasan le sudhaar kai |She invariably adopted numerous postures,
ਹੋ ਚੁੰਬਨ ਲਿੰਗਨ ਕਿਯ ਮਤ ਕੋਕ ਬਿਚਾਰਿ ਕੈ ॥੪॥
ho chunban lingan kiy mat kok bichaar kai |4|And enjoyed the sex according to Koka Shastra.(4)
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥

ਜੰਤ੍ਰ ਕਲਾ ਤਿਹ ਬਾਲ ਕੀ ਮਾਤ ਗਈ ਤਬ ਆਇ ॥
jantr kalaa tih baal kee maat gee tab aae |Jantar Kala, the mother ofthe girl, barged in,
ਤੰਤ੍ਰ ਕਲਾ ਤਾ ਤੇ ਤ੍ਰਸਤ ਮੀਤਹਿ ਲਯੋ ਦੁਰਾਇ ॥੫॥
tantr kalaa taa te trasat meeteh layo duraae |5|And Tantra Kala, afraid of her mother hid him.(5)

ਕੇਸਾਤਕ ਤਿਨ ਤੁਰਤ ਮੰਗਾਯੋ ॥
kesaatak tin turat mangaayo |(Then) he immediately called for romance
ਲੀਪਿ ਸਮਸ ਤਾ ਕੀ ਸੋ ਲਾਯੋ ॥
leep samas taa kee so laayo |She immediately sent for the hair-removing powder and spread it on his moustache.
ਤਬ ਸਭ ਕੇਸ ਦੂਰ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਗਏ ॥
tab sabh kes door hvai ge |When his hair became clean,
ਰਾਜ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਾ ਸੇ ਭਏ ॥੬॥
raaj kumaar triyaa se bhe |6|As soon as his hair were taken off, the prince looked like a woman.(6)
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥

ਸਕਲ ਬਸਤ੍ਰ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਕੇ ਧਰੇ ਪਹਿਰਿ ਸੁ ਭੂਖਨ ਅੰਗ ॥
sakal basatr triy ke dhare pahir su bhookhan ang |Putting on female clothes and ornaments, he disguised as a pretty woman.
ਨਿਰਖਤ ਛਬਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਰੁਦ੍ਰ ਕੇ ਜਰਿਯੋ ਜਗਤ ਅਨੰਗ ॥੭॥
nirakhat chhab sree rudr ke jariyo jagat anang |7|Impressed with his beauty the whole world felt the fire of passion.(7)

ਨਾਰਿ ਭੇਖਿ ਤਾ ਕੋ ਪਹਿਰਾਈ ॥
naar bhekh taa ko pahiraaee |By dressing him in women's clothes
ਆਪਨ ਟਰਿ ਮਾਤਾ ਪਹਿ ਆਈ ॥
aapan ttar maataa peh aaee |After dressing him as a woman, she went to her mother.
ਧਰਮ ਭਗਨਿ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਸੁਤ ਠਹਰਾਯੋ ॥
dharam bhagan nrip sut tthaharaayo |He called Raj Kumar his religious sister
ਜਾਇ ਸਭਨ ਸੌ ਭੇਦ ਜਤਾਯੋ ॥੮॥
jaae sabhan sau bhed jataayo |8|She declared her as her righteous-sister and made an open announcement,(8)
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥

ਧਰਮ ਭਗਨਿ ਮਾਤਾ ਸੁਨੌ ਮੋਰਿ ਪਹੂੰਚੀ ਆਇ ॥
dharam bhagan maataa sunau mor pahoonchee aae |‘Dear Mother, listen, my righteous sister has come.
ਦਰਬੁ ਬਿਦਾ ਦੈ ਕੀਜਿਯੈ ਤਾਹਿ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਹਿ ਦਰਸਾਇ ॥੯॥
darab bidaa dai keejiyai taeh nripeh darasaae |9|‘Go, and ask Raja to give her a send-off with many riches.’(9)
ਸੁਣਿ ਮਾਤਾ ਬਿਹਸਿ ਬਚਨ ਤਾਹਿ ਨਿਹਾਰਿਯੋ ਆਇ ॥
sun maataa bihas bachan taeh nihaariyo aae |The mother contemplated on what she was told,
ਗਹਿ ਬਹਿਯੋ ਤਹ ਲੈ ਗਈ ਜਹਾ ਹੁਤੇ ਨਰ ਰਾਇ ॥੧੦॥
geh bahiyo tah lai gee jahaa hute nar raae |10|And, holding him from the arm took him there where Raja was seated.(10)

ਸੁਨੋ ਰਾਵ ਤਵ ਧਰਮਜਾ ਇਹਿ ਹ੍ਯਾਂ ਪਹੁਚੀ ਆਇ ॥
suno raav tav dharamajaa ihi hayaan pahuchee aae |(Rani) ‘Oh, my Raja, listen, your righteous daughter has come here.
