ਮਾਰੇ ਦੇਵੀ ਘੋਟਿ ਸੁਭਟ ਕਟਕ ਕੇ ਬਿਕਟ ਅਤਿ ॥੧੧੭॥
maare devee ghott subhatt kattak ke bikatt at |117|That the goddess hath killed very great heroes, difficult to kill.117.,

doharaa |DOHRA,
ਰਾਜ ਗਾਤ ਕੇ ਬਾਤਿ ਇਹ ਕਹੀ ਜੁ ਤਾਹੀ ਠਉਰ ॥
raaj gaat ke baat ih kahee ju taahee tthaur |The king said at the same place these words:,
ਮਰਿਹੋ ਜੀਅਤਿ ਨ ਛਾਡਿ ਹੋ ਕਹਿਓ ਸਤਿ ਨਹਿ ਅਉਰ ॥੧੧੮॥
mariho jeeat na chhaadd ho kahio sat neh aaur |118|“I am saying nothing else except the truth that I shall not let her live.”118.,
ਤੁੰਡ ਸੁੰਭ ਕੇ ਚੰਡਿਕਾ ਚਢਿ ਬੋਲੀ ਇਹ ਭਾਇ ॥
tundd sunbh ke chanddikaa chadt bolee ih bhaae |These words were uttered by Chandika herself, seated on the tongue of Sumbh.,
ਮਾਨੋ ਆਪਨੀ ਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਕੋ ਲੀਨੋ ਅਸੁਰ ਬੁਲਾਇ ॥੧੧੯॥
maano aapanee mrit ko leeno asur bulaae |119|It seemed that demon had invited himself his own death.119.,
ਸੁੰਭ ਨਿਸੁੰਭ ਸੁ ਦੁਹੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਬੈਠਿ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਤਬ ਕੀਨ ॥
sunbh nisunbh su duhoon mil baitth mantr tab keen |Both Sumbh and Nisumbh sat together and decided,
ਸੈਨਾ ਸਕਲ ਬੁਲਾਇ ਕੈ ਸੁਭਟ ਬੀਰ ਚੁਨ ਲੀਨ ॥੧੨੦॥
sainaa sakal bulaae kai subhatt beer chun leen |120|That the whole army be called and a Superb hero be selected for war with Chandi.120.,
ਰਕਤਬੀਜ ਕੋ ਭੇਜੀਏ ਮੰਤ੍ਰਨ ਕਹੀ ਬਿਚਾਰ ॥
rakatabeej ko bhejee mantran kahee bichaar |The ministers advised that Raktavija be sent (for the purpose),
ਪਾਥਰ ਜਿਉ ਗਿਰਿ ਡਾਰ ਕੇ ਚੰਡਹਿ ਹਨੈ ਹਕਾਰਿ ॥੧੨੧॥
paathar jiau gir ddaar ke chanddeh hanai hakaar |121|He will kill Chandi by throwing her from the mountain like a stone after challenging her.121.,

ਭੇਜੋ ਕੋਊ ਦੂਤ ਗ੍ਰਹ ਤੇ ਲਿਆਵੈ ਤਾਹਿ ਕੋ ॥
bhejo koaoo doot grah te liaavai taeh ko |Some messenger may be sent to call him from his home.,
ਜੀਤਿਓ ਜਿਨਿ ਪੁਰਹੂਤ ਭੁਜਬਲਿ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਅਮਿਤ ਹੈ ॥੧੨੨॥
jeetio jin purahoot bhujabal jaa ke amit hai |122|He had conquered Indra with his unlimited strength of arms. 122.,

ਸ੍ਰੋਣਤ ਬਿੰਦ ਪੈ ਦੈਤ ਇਕੁ ਗਇਓ ਕਰੀ ਅਰਦਾਸਿ ॥
sronat bind pai dait ik geio karee aradaas |A demon went to the house of Raktavija and requested,
ਰਾਜ ਬੁਲਾਵਤ ਸਭਾ ਮੈ ਬੇਗ ਚਲੋ ਤਿਹ ਪਾਸਿ ॥੧੨੩॥
raaj bulaavat sabhaa mai beg chalo tih paas |123|“Thou hast been summoned in the royal court, appear before it very quickly.”123.,
ਰਕਤ ਬੀਜ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਸੁੰਭ ਕੋ ਕੀਨੋ ਆਨਿ ਪ੍ਰਨਾਮ ॥
rakat beej nrip sunbh ko keeno aan pranaam |Raktavija came and bowed in obeisance before the king.,
ਅਸੁਰ ਸਭਾ ਮਧਿ ਭਾਉ ਕਰਿ ਕਹਿਓ ਕਰਹੁ ਮਮ ਕਾਮ ॥੧੨੪॥
asur sabhaa madh bhaau kar kahio karahu mam kaam |124|With due veneration, he said in the court, “Tell me, what can I do?”124.,

ਸ੍ਰਉਣਤ ਬਿੰਦ ਕੋ ਸੁੰਭ ਨਿਸੁੰਭ ਬੁਲਾਇ ਬੈਠਾਇ ਕੈ ਆਦਰੁ ਕੀਨੋ ॥
sraunat bind ko sunbh nisunbh bulaae baitthaae kai aadar keeno |Sumbh and Nisumbh called Raktavija in their presence and offered him a seat with respect.,
ਦੈ ਸਿਰਤਾਜ ਬਡੇ ਗਜਰਾਜ ਸੁ ਬਾਜ ਦਏ ਰਿਝਵਾਇ ਕੈ ਲੀਨੋ ॥
dai sirataaj badde gajaraaj su baaj de rijhavaae kai leeno |He was the crown for his head and presented with elephants and horses, which he accepted with pleasure.,
ਪਾਨ ਲੈ ਦੈਤ ਕਹੀ ਇਹ ਚੰਡ ਕੋ ਰੁੰਡ ਕਰੋ ਅਬ ਮੁੰਡ ਬਿਹੀਨੋ ॥
paan lai dait kahee ih chandd ko rundd karo ab mundd biheeno |After taking the betel leaf, Raktavija said, “I shall immediately separate the head of Chandika from her trunk.”,
ਐਸੇ ਕਹਿਓ ਤਿਨ ਮਧਿ ਸਭਾ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਰੀਝ ਕੈ ਮੇਘ ਅਡੰਬਰ ਦੀਨੋ ॥੧੨੫॥
aaise kahio tin madh sabhaa nrip reejh kai megh addanbar deeno |125|When he said these words before the assembly, the king was pleased to award him a dreadful thundering trumpet and a canopy.125.,
ਸ੍ਰੋਣਤ ਬਿੰਦ ਕੋ ਸੁੰਭ ਨਿਸੁੰਭ ਕਹਿਓ ਤੁਮ ਜਾਹੁ ਮਹਾ ਦਲੁ ਲੈ ਕੈ ॥
sronat bind ko sunbh nisunbh kahio tum jaahu mahaa dal lai kai |Sumbh and Nisumbh said, “Now go and take with you a huge army,
