ਜਾ ਤੇ ਨੀਂਦ ਭੂਖ ਸਭ ਭਾਗੀ ॥੨॥
jaa te neend bhookh sabh bhaagee |2|Due to which his sleeplessness and hunger went away. 2.
ਰਾਨੀ ਕੀ ਤਾਹੂ ਸੌ ਲਾਗੀ ॥
raanee kee taahoo sau laagee |Rani has fallen in love with him.
ਛੂਟੈ ਕਹਾ ਅਨੋਖੀ ਜਾਗੀ ॥
chhoottai kahaa anokhee jaagee |How did he get rid of the wonderful (Preet Bhala) that was awakened?
ਇਕ ਦਿਨ ਤਿਹ ਸੌ ਭੋਗ ਕਮਾਯੋ ॥
eik din tih sau bhog kamaayo |One day the queen indulged him.
ਭੋਗ ਕਿਯਾ ਤਿਮ ਦ੍ਰਿੜ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਭਾਯੋ ॥੩॥
bhog kiyaa tim drirr triy bhaayo |3|He indulged with determination, (by doing which) the queen liked him. 3.
ਬਹੁ ਦਿਨ ਭੋਗ ਤਵਨ ਸੰਗਿ ਕਿਯਾ ॥
bahu din bhog tavan sang kiyaa |She (the queen) indulged him for many days.
ਐਸੁਪਦੇਸ ਤਵਨ ਕਹ ਦਿਯਾ ॥
aaisupades tavan kah diyaa |(Then) explained to him thus.
ਜੌ ਮੈ ਕਹੌ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਸੋ ਕੀਜਹੁ ॥
jau mai kahau mitr so keejahu |O friend! Do as I say
ਮੇਰੋ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਮਾਨਿ ਕਰਿ ਲੀਜਹੁ ॥੪॥
mero kahiyo maan kar leejahu |4|And accept what I said. 4.
ਕਹੂੰ ਜੁ ਮ੍ਰਿਤਕ ਪਰਿਯੋ ਲਖਿ ਪੈਯੌ ॥
kahoon ju mritak pariyo lakh paiyau |If you see the dead
ਤਾ ਕੋ ਕਾਟਿ ਲਿੰਗ ਲੈ ਐਯੌ ॥
taa ko kaatt ling lai aaiyau |(So) getting his penis cut.
ਤਾਹਿ ਕੁਪੀਨ ਬਿਖੈ ਦ੍ਰਿੜ ਰਖਿਯਹੁ ॥
taeh kupeen bikhai drirr rakhiyahu |Keeping him well in his loincloth
ਭੇਦ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਨਰਹਿ ਨ ਭਖਿਯਹੁ ॥੫॥
bhed doosare nareh na bhakhiyahu |5|And don't give this secret to another man. 5.

ਜਬ ਮੈ ਦੇਹੋ ਤੁਮੈ ਉਰਾਭੇ ਲਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
jab mai deho tumai uraabhe laae kai |When I will defame you
ਤਬ ਤੁਮ ਹਮ ਪਰ ਉਠਿਯਹੁ ਅਧਿਕ ਰਿਸਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
tab tum ham par utthiyahu adhik risaae kai |(of some kind of adultery) then you will be very angry with me.
ਕਾਢਿ ਕੁਪੀਨ ਤੇ ਹਮ ਪਰ ਲਿੰਗ ਚਲਾਇਯੋ ॥
kaadt kupeen te ham par ling chalaaeiyo |Pulling the penis from the loincloth and throwing it on me
ਹੋ ਊਚ ਨੀਚ ਰਾਜਾ ਕਹ ਚਰਿਤ ਦਿਖਾਇਯੋ ॥੬॥
ho aooch neech raajaa kah charit dikhaaeiyo |6|And to show this character to all the high and low from the king. 6.

ਸੋਈ ਕਾਮ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਤਿਹ ਕੀਨਾ ॥
soee kaam mitr tih keenaa |His friend did the same thing
ਜਿਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਸੌ ਤਵਨੈ ਸਿਖ ਦੀਨਾ ॥
jih bidh sau tavanai sikh deenaa |The way he was taught.
ਰਾਨੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਤ ਪਤਿਹਿ ਦਿਖਰਾਈ ॥
raanee praat patihi dikharaaee |In the morning, the queen showed (the ascetic) her husband.
ਸੰਨ੍ਯਾਸੀ ਪਹਿ ਸਖੀ ਪਠਾਈ ॥੭॥
sanayaasee peh sakhee patthaaee |7|(Also) sent the Sakhi to the Sannyasi.7.
ਸੰਨ੍ਯਾਸੀ ਜੁਤ ਸਖੀ ਗਹਾਈ ॥
sanayaasee jut sakhee gahaaee |The ascetic caught the sakhi
ਰਾਜਾ ਦੇਖਤ ਨਿਕਟ ਬੁਲਾਈ ॥
raajaa dekhat nikatt bulaaee |And seeing the king called to him.
ਛੈਲ ਗਿਰਹਿ ਬਹੁਤ ਭਾਤਿ ਦੁਖਾਯੋ ॥
chhail gireh bahut bhaat dukhaayo |Chhail Giri was hurt a lot by (he said).
ਤੈ ਚੇਰੀ ਸੰਗ ਭੋਗ ਕਮਾਯੋ ॥੮॥
tai cheree sang bhog kamaayo |8|That you have had sex with a maidservant. 8.
ਯੌ ਸੁਨਿ ਬਚਨ ਤੇਜ ਮਨ ਤਯੋ ॥
yau sun bachan tej man tayo |Hearing this, the (ascetic) became very angry
ਕਰ ਮਹਿ ਕਾਢਿ ਛੁਰਾ ਕਹ ਲਯੋ ॥
kar meh kaadt chhuraa kah layo |And (he) took out the knife in his hand.
ਕਟਿਯੋ ਲਿੰਗ ਬਸਤ੍ਰ ਤੇ ਨਿਕਾਰਾ ॥
kattiyo ling basatr te nikaaraa |(He) took out the severed penis from the loincloth
ਰਾਜ ਤਰੁਨਿ ਕੇ ਮੁਖ ਪਰ ਮਾਰਾ ॥੯॥
raaj tarun ke mukh par maaraa |9|And hit the face of the queen. 9.
ਹਾਇ ਹਾਇ ਰਾਨੀ ਕਹਿ ਭਾਗੀ ॥
haae haae raanee keh bhaagee |Rani ran away saying 'hi hi'
ਤਾ ਕੇ ਉਠਿ ਚਰਨਨ ਸੰਗ ਲਾਗੀ ॥
taa ke utth charanan sang laagee |And got up and joined his (ascetic) feet.
ਹਮਿ ਰਿਖਿ ਤੁਮਰੋ ਚਰਿਤ ਨ ਜਾਨਾ ॥
ham rikh tumaro charit na jaanaa |(started to say) O Rikhi! I did not understand your character.
ਬਿਨੁ ਸਮੁਝੇ ਤੁਹਿ ਝੂਠ ਬਖਾਨਾ ॥੧੦॥
bin samujhe tuhi jhootth bakhaanaa |10|Without understanding, you were considered a liar. 10.
ਤਬ ਰਾਜੇ ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਬਿਚਾਰੀ ॥
tab raaje ih bhaat bichaaree |Then the king thought thus
ਇੰਦ੍ਰੀ ਕਾਟਿ ਸੰਨ੍ਯਾਸੀ ਡਾਰੀ ॥
eindree kaatt sanayaasee ddaaree |That the ascetic has cut off the senses and thrown them away.
ਧ੍ਰਿਗ ਧ੍ਰਿਗ ਕੁਪਿ ਰਾਨਿਯਹਿ ਉਚਾਰਾ ॥
dhrig dhrig kup raaniyeh uchaaraa |He got angry and called the queen 'Dhrig Dhrig'.
ਤੈ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਕਿਯਾ ਦੋਖ ਯਹ ਭਾਰਾ ॥੧੧॥
tai triy kiyaa dokh yah bhaaraa |11|Queen! You have done this great harm. 11.
ਅਬ ਇਹ ਰਾਖੁ ਆਪਨੇ ਧਾਮਾ ॥
ab ih raakh aapane dhaamaa |Now keep it at home
ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਹੁ ਸਕਲ ਮਿਲਿ ਬਾਮਾ ॥
sevaa karahu sakal mil baamaa |And all the women together serve it.
ਜਬ ਲਗਿ ਜਿਯੈ ਜਾਨ ਨਹਿ ਦੀਜੈ ॥
jab lag jiyai jaan neh deejai |As long as it lives, do not let (it) go
ਸਦਾ ਜਤੀ ਕੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਕੀਜੈ ॥੧੨॥
sadaa jatee kee poojaa keejai |12|And always worship (this) generation. 12.
ਰਾਨੀ ਬਚਨ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਕੋ ਮਾਨਾ ॥
raanee bachan nripat ko maanaa |The queen accepted the king's word.
ਬਹੁ ਬਿਧਿ ਸਾਥ ਤਾਹਿ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਆਨਾ ॥
bahu bidh saath taeh grih aanaa |She brought him home very respectfully.
ਭੋਗ ਕਰੈ ਬਹੁ ਹਰਖ ਬਢਾਈ ॥
bhog karai bahu harakh badtaaee |She used to enjoy him very happily.
ਮੂਰਖ ਬਾਤ ਨ ਰਾਜੈ ਪਾਈ ॥੧੩॥
moorakh baat na raajai paaee |13|But the foolish king could not understand the matter. 13.
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥
doharaa |dual:
ਇਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਚਰਿਤ ਬਨਾਇ ਕੈ ਤਾਹਿ ਭਜਾ ਰੁਚਿ ਮਾਨ ॥
eih bidh charit banaae kai taeh bhajaa ruch maan |(The queen) created such a character and engaged with him with interest.
ਜੀਵਤ ਲਗਿ ਰਾਖਾ ਸਦਨ ਸਕਾ ਨ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਪਛਾਨ ॥੧੪॥
jeevat lag raakhaa sadan sakaa na nripat pachhaan |14|He was kept alive in the palace, but the king could not understand (this secret). 14.
ਇਤਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਪਖ੍ਯਾਨੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਾ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰੇ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੀ ਭੂਪ ਸੰਬਾਦੇ ਦੋਇ ਸੌ ਇਕਹਤਰਿ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਸਮਾਪਤਮ ਸਤੁ ਸੁਭਮ ਸਤੁ ॥੨੭੧॥੫੨੬੭॥ਅਫਜੂੰ॥
eit sree charitr pakhayaane triyaa charitre mantree bhoop sanbaade doe sau ikahatar charitr samaapatam sat subham sat |271|5267|afajoon|Here ends the 271st charitra of Mantri Bhup Sambad of Tria Charitra of Sri Charitropakhyan, all is auspicious. 271.5267. goes on

ਏਕ ਸੁਗੰਧ ਸੈਨ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਨਾਮਾ ॥
ek sugandh sain nrip naamaa |There was a king named Sungand San
ਗੰਧਾਗਿਰ ਪਰਬਤ ਜਿਹ ਧਾਮਾ ॥
gandhaagir parabat jih dhaamaa |Whose house was in Gandhagir mountain.
ਸੁਗੰਧ ਮਤੀ ਤਾ ਕੀ ਚੰਚਲਾ ॥
sugandh matee taa kee chanchalaa |His wife's name was Sungadh Mati
ਹੀਨ ਕਰੀ ਸਸਿ ਕੀ ਜਿਨ ਕਲਾ ॥੧॥
heen karee sas kee jin kalaa |1|Who had also insulted the art of the moon. 1.
ਬੀਰ ਕਰਨ ਇਕ ਸਾਹੁ ਬਿਖ੍ਯਾਤਾ ॥
beer karan ik saahu bikhayaataa |There was a famous Shah named Bir Karan
ਜਿਹ ਸਮ ਦੁਤਿਯ ਨ ਰਚਾ ਬਿਧਾਤਾ ॥
jih sam dutiy na rachaa bidhaataa |The likes of which the creator had not created any other.
ਧਨ ਕਰਿ ਸਕਲ ਭਰੇ ਜਿਹ ਧਾਮਾ ॥
dhan kar sakal bhare jih dhaamaa |All whose houses were full of wealth.
ਰੀਝਿ ਰਹਤ ਦੁਤਿ ਲਖਿ ਸਭ ਬਾਮਾ ॥੨॥
reejh rahat dut lakh sabh baamaa |2|Seeing (his) beauty, all the women were fascinated. 2.
ਸੌਦਾ ਨਮਿਤਿ ਤਹਾ ਵਹ ਆਯੋ ॥
sauadaa namit tahaa vah aayo |He came there for business.
ਜਾ ਕਹ ਨਿਰਖਿ ਰੂਪ ਸਿਰ ਨ੍ਯਾਯੋ ॥
jaa kah nirakh roop sir nayaayo |Seeing his form (the queen) bowed her head.
ਜਾ ਸਮ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਸੁਨਾ ਨ ਸੂਰਾ ॥
jaa sam sundar sunaa na sooraa |Such a handsome and brave man (before) was not heard of.
ਦੇਗ ਤੇਗ ਸਾਚੋ ਭਰਪੂਰਾ ॥੩॥
deg teg saacho bharapooraa |3|He was indeed full of (the qualities of) Deg and Teg. 3.
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥
doharaa |dual:
ਰਾਨੀ ਤਾ ਕੋ ਰੂਪ ਲਖਿ ਮਨ ਮਹਿ ਰਹੀ ਲੁਭਾਇ ॥
raanee taa ko roop lakh man meh rahee lubhaae |Rani was mesmerized seeing his form.
ਮਿਲਿਬੇ ਕੇ ਜਤਨਨ ਕਰੈ ਮਿਲ੍ਯੋ ਨ ਤਾ ਸੋ ਜਾਇ ॥੪॥
milibe ke jatanan karai milayo na taa so jaae |4|(She tried to meet him), but she was not getting along with him. 4.

ਰਾਨੀ ਬਹੁ ਉਪਚਾਰ ਬਨਾਏ ॥
raanee bahu upachaar banaae |The queen took many measures
ਬਹੁਤ ਮਨੁਖ ਤਿਹ ਠੌਰ ਪਠਾਏ ॥
bahut manukh tih tthauar patthaae |And many men were sent to him.
ਬਹੁ ਕਰਿ ਜਤਨ ਏਕ ਦਿਨ ਆਨਾ ॥
bahu kar jatan ek din aanaa |After much effort, he brought (him) one day.
ਕਾਮ ਭੋਗ ਤਿਹ ਸੰਗ ਕਮਾਨਾ ॥੫॥
kaam bhog tih sang kamaanaa |5|Had sex with him. 5.
