ਚਮਤਕਾਰ ਇਕ ਤੌਹਿ ਦਿਖੈਹੌ ॥
chamatakaar ik taueh dikhaihau |A miracle and, thereafter,
ਤਿਹ ਪਾਛੈ ਤੁਹਿ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਸਿਖੈਹੌ ॥੧੬॥
tih paachhai tuhi mantr sikhaihau |16|The magical charms will be taught to you.(16)
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥
doharaa |Dohira
ਹੋਤ ਪੁਰਖ ਤੇ ਮੈ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਾ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਤੇ ਨਰ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਜਾਉ ॥
hot purakh te mai triyaa triy te nar hvai jaau |‘1 will convert a man into a woman and a woman into a man.
ਨਰ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਸਿਖਵੌ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਤੁਹਿ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਭੋਗ ਕਮਾਉ ॥੧੭॥
nar hvai sikhavau mantr tuhi triy hvai bhog kamaau |17|‘Becoming a man I will teach you charms and, then turning into a woman 1 will indulge in sexual play with you.’(17)
ਰਾਇ ਬਾਚ ॥

ਪੁਰਖ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਦਾਇਕ ਪਿਤਾ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਦਾਇਕ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਮਾਤ ॥
purakh mantr daaeik pitaa mantr daaeik triy maat |‘The man who confers the charms is the father and a woman the mother.
ਤਿਨ ਕੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕੀਜਿਯੈ ਭੋਗਨ ਕੀ ਨ ਜਾਤ ॥੧੮॥
tin kee sevaa keejiyai bhogan kee na jaat |18|‘One should provide them service instead of involving in sexual plays.(18)

ਬਹੁ ਬਰਿਸਨ ਲਗਿ ਜਾਨਿ ਸੇਵ ਗੁਰ ਕੀਜਿਯੈ ॥
bahu barisan lag jaan sev gur keejiyai |‘By rendering service and bowing head in obeisance to the Guru for
ਜਤਨ ਕੋਟਿ ਕਰਿ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਸੁ ਮੰਤ੍ਰਹਿ ਲੀਜਿਯੈ ॥
jatan kott kar bahur su mantreh leejiyai |A long time, with great efforts, the charms are learnt.
ਜਾਹਿ ਅਰਥ ਕੇ ਹੇਤ ਸੀਸ ਨਿਹੁਰਾਇਯੈ ॥
jaeh arath ke het sees nihuraaeiyai |‘You bow your head before him and
ਹੋ ਕਹੋ ਚਤੁਰਿ ਤਾ ਸੌ ਕ੍ਯੋਨ ਕੇਲ ਮਚਾਇਯੈ ॥੧੯॥
ho kaho chatur taa sau kayon kel machaaeiyai |19|To learn you perform playful actions.’(l9)

ਤਬ ਜੋਗੀ ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਸੁਨਾਯੋ ॥
tab jogee ih bhaat sunaayo |Then the Jogi said thus,
ਤਵ ਭੇਟਨ ਹਿਤ ਭੇਖ ਬਨਾਯੋ ॥
tav bhettan hit bhekh banaayo |Thereafter ascetic added, ‘To meet you I have disguised myself like
ਅਬ ਮੇਰੇ ਸੰਗ ਭੋਗ ਕਮੈਯੈ ॥
ab mere sang bhog kamaiyai |Play with me now
ਆਨ ਪਿਯਾ ਸੁਭ ਸੇਜ ਸੁਹੈਯੈ ॥੨੦॥
aan piyaa subh sej suhaiyai |20|This. ‘Now you bedeck my bed and enjoy sex with me.(20)
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥

ਤਨ ਤਰਫਤ ਤਵ ਮਿਲਨ ਕੌ ਬਿਰਹ ਬਿਕਲ ਭਯੋ ਅੰਗ ॥
tan tarafat tav milan kau birah bikal bhayo ang |‘My mind has been craving to meat you and every limb of my body is getting impassioned.
ਸੇਜ ਸੁਹੈਯੈ ਆਨ ਪਿਯ ਆਜੁ ਰਮੋ ਮੁਹਿ ਸੰਗ ॥੨੧॥
sej suhaiyai aan piy aaj ramo muhi sang |21|‘O my love! Come to my ravishing bed and enthral me with your company.(21)
ਭਜੇ ਬਧੈਹੌ ਚੋਰ ਕਹਿ ਤਜੇ ਦਿਵੈਹੌ ਗਾਰਿ ॥
bhaje badhaihau chor keh taje divaihau gaar |‘But if you attempt to run away, 1 will get you caught by shouting “thief” and abuse you as well.
ਨਾਤਰ ਸੰਕ ਬਿਸਾਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਮੋ ਸੌ ਕਰਹੁ ਬਿਹਾਰ ॥੨੨॥
naatar sank bisaar kar mo sau karahu bihaar |22|‘Therefore, my love! Forget all the apprehensions and indulge with me in fornication.(22)
ਕਾਮਾਤੁਰ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਜੋ ਤਰੁਨਿ ਆਵਤ ਪਿਯ ਕੇ ਪਾਸ ॥
kaamaatur hvai jo tarun aavat piy ke paas |‘If a woman comes to her husband tormented with the sexual desire,
ਮਹਾ ਨਰਕ ਸੋ ਡਾਰਿਯਤ ਦੈ ਜੋ ਜਾਨ ਨਿਰਾਸ ॥੨੩॥
mahaa narak so ddaariyat dai jo jaan niraas |23|‘And, if she faces disappointment, then, her husband is fit to be thrown into the hell.(23)
ਤਨ ਅਨੰਗ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਜਗੈ ਤਾਹਿ ਨ ਦੈ ਰਤਿ ਦਾਨ ॥
tan anang jaa ke jagai taeh na dai rat daan |‘If a person does not grant the benevolence of carnal fulfillment to a
ਤਵਨ ਪੁਰਖ ਕੋ ਡਾਰਿਯਤ ਜਹਾ ਨਰਕ ਕੀ ਖਾਨਿ ॥੨੪॥
tavan purakh ko ddaariyat jahaa narak kee khaan |24|Sex desirous woman, then, (that person), deserves to be cast off into hell.(24)

ਰਾਮਜਨੀ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਜਨਮ ਬਿਧਾਤੈ ਮੁਹਿ ਦਿਯਾ ॥
raamajanee grih janam bidhaatai muhi diyaa |‘God gave me birth into the house of a prostitute and
ਤਵ ਮਿਲਬੇ ਹਿਤ ਭੇਖ ਜੋਗ ਕੋ ਮੈ ਲਿਯਾ ॥
tav milabe hit bhekh jog ko mai liyaa |I disguised myself into an ascetic to meet you.
ਤੁਰਤ ਸੇਜ ਹਮਰੀ ਅਬ ਆਨਿ ਸੁਹਾਇਯੈ ॥
turat sej hamaree ab aan suhaaeiyai |‘Now you be quick and adorn my bed. I am your maid,
ਹੋ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਦਾਸੀ ਤਵ ਰਹੋਂ ਨ ਮੁਹਿ ਤਰਸਾਇਯੈ ॥੨੫॥
ho hvai daasee tav rahon na muhi tarasaaeiyai |25|Please don’t torment me.(25)
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥

ਕਹਾ ਭਯੋ ਸੁਘਰੇ ਭਏ ਕਰਤ ਜੁਬਨ ਕੋ ਮਾਨ ॥
kahaa bhayo sughare bhe karat juban ko maan |‘What if you are astute? You must not be proud of your youth.
ਬਿਰਹ ਬਾਨ ਮੋ ਕੋ ਲਗੇ ਬ੍ਰਿਥਾ ਨ ਦੀਜੈ ਜਾਨ ॥੨੬॥
birah baan mo ko lage brithaa na deejai jaan |26|‘I am afflicted with the arrow of separation, don’t let it dissipate.(26)

ਬ੍ਰਿਥਾ ਨ ਦੀਜੈ ਜਾਨ ਮੈਨ ਬਸਿ ਮੈ ਭਈ ॥
brithaa na deejai jaan main bas mai bhee |‘Don’t lose this opportunity I am in the grip (of Cupid)
ਬਿਰਹਿ ਸਮੁੰਦ ਕੇ ਬੀਚ ਬੂਡਿ ਸਿਰ ਲੌ ਗਈ ॥
bireh samund ke beech boodd sir lau gee |And drowning in the sea of passion up to brim.
ਭੋਗ ਕਰੇ ਬਿਨੁ ਮੋਹਿ ਜਾਨ ਨਹੀ ਦੀਜਿਯੈ ॥
bhog kare bin mohi jaan nahee deejiyai |‘Don’t let me drown into the dense and dark cloudy night
ਹੋ ਘਨਵਾਰੀ ਨਿਸ ਹੇਰਿ ਗੁਮਾਨ ਨ ਕੀਜਿਯੈ ॥੨੭॥
ho ghanavaaree nis her gumaan na keejiyai |27|Without sexual fulfilment.(27)
ਦਿਸਨ ਦਿਸਨ ਕੇ ਲੋਗ ਤਿਹਾਰੇ ਆਵਹੀ ॥
disan disan ke log tihaare aavahee |‘People come from all the directions and get their mind pleasing
ਮਨ ਬਾਛਤ ਜੋ ਬਾਤ ਉਹੈ ਬਰ ਪਾਵਹੀ ॥
man baachhat jo baat uhai bar paavahee |Aspirations fulfilled, then what wrong have I done?
ਕਵਨ ਅਵਗ੍ਰਯਾ ਮੋਰਿ ਨ ਤੁਮ ਕਹ ਪਾਇਯੈ ॥
kavan avagrayaa mor na tum kah paaeiyai |‘You cannot narrate any as (I have done nothing wrong).
ਹੋ ਦਾਸਨ ਦਾਸੀ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਹੌ ਸੇਜ ਸੁਹਾਇਯੈ ॥੨੮॥
ho daasan daasee hvai hau sej suhaaeiyai |28|‘I am your slave, please come to my bed’.(28)
ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਸਿਖਨ ਹਿਤ ਧਾਮ ਤਿਹਾਰੇ ਆਇਯੋ ॥
mantr sikhan hit dhaam tihaare aaeiyo |(The Raja said), ‘I had come to you to learn the charms
ਤੁਮ ਆਗੈ ਐਸੇ ਇਹ ਚਰਿਤ ਬਨਾਇਯੋ ॥
tum aagai aaise ih charit banaaeiyo |But you are playing such a drama.
ਮੈ ਨ ਤੁਹਾਰੇ ਸੰਗ ਭੋਗ ਕ੍ਯੋਹੂੰ ਕਰੋ ॥
mai na tuhaare sang bhog kayohoon karo |‘Why should I indulge in sex with you?
ਹੋ ਧਰਮ ਛੂਟਨ ਕੇ ਹੇਤ ਅਧਿਕ ਮਨ ਮੈ ਡਰੋ ॥੨੯॥
ho dharam chhoottan ke het adhik man mai ddaro |29|‘By doing this, I am afraid, I will go astray of my righteous path.’ (29)
