ਰਤਨ ਜਟਤ ਰਥ ਸੁਭਤ ਖਚਿਤ ਬਜ੍ਰਨ ਮੁਕਤਾਫਲ ॥
ratan jattat rath subhat khachit bajran mukataafal |(which) beautifies the chariot studded with gems, (which) is studded with diamonds and pearls.
ਹੀਰ ਚੀਰ ਆਭਰਣ ਧਰੇ ਸਾਰਥੀ ਮਹਾਬਲ ॥
heer cheer aabharan dhare saarathee mahaabal |Studded with gems and full of pearls, the chariot will carry this mighty charioteer wearing embellished garments
ਕਨਕ ਦੇਖ ਕੁਰਰਾਤ ਕਠਨ ਕਾਮਿਨ ਬ੍ਰਿਤ ਹਾਰਤ ॥
kanak dekh kuraraat katthan kaamin brit haarat |Seeing the gold, the hardest of beautiful lustful damsels will be allured,
ਤਨਿ ਪਟੰਬਰ ਜਰਕਸੀ ਪਰਮ ਭੂਖਨ ਤਨ ਧਾਰਤ ॥
tan pattanbar jarakasee param bhookhan tan dhaarat |Forsaking their vows and he will wear ornaments and pretty garments on his body
ਇਹ ਛਬਿ ਅਨੰਦ ਮਦਨਜ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਜਿਦਿਨ ਗਰਜ ਦਲ ਗਾਹਿ ਹੈ ॥
eih chhab anand madanaj nripat jidin garaj dal gaeh hai |O king! the joy-giver god of love, when he will come in front, thundering in such a handsome pose,
ਬਿਨੁ ਇਕ ਧੀਰਜ ਸੁਨਿ ਰੇ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਸੁ ਅਉਰ ਸਮੁਹ ਕੋ ਜਾਹਿ ਹੈ ॥੧੭੫॥
bin ik dheeraj sun re nripat su aaur samuh ko jaeh hai |175|Then who will confront him except the one with endurance.175.
ਧੂਮ੍ਰ ਬਰਣ ਸਾਰਥੀ ਧੂਮ੍ਰ ਬਾਜੀਰਥ ਛਾਜਤ ॥
dhoomr baran saarathee dhoomr baajeerath chhaajat |All the gods, men and sages, will feel shy on seeing the black coloured charioteer,
ਧੂਮ੍ਰ ਬਰਣ ਆਭਰਣ ਨਿਰਖਿ ਸੁਰ ਨਰ ਮੁਨਿ ਲਾਜਤ ॥
dhoomr baran aabharan nirakh sur nar mun laajat |Black chariot and horses and glorious black garments
ਧੂਮ੍ਰ ਨੈਨ ਧੂਮਰੋ ਗਾਤ ਧੂਮਰ ਤਿਹ ਭੂਖਨ ॥
dhoomr nain dhoomaro gaat dhoomar tih bhookhan |(Who has) smoky eyes, a smoky body, and smoky jewels.
ਧੂਮ੍ਰ ਬਦਨ ਤੇ ਬਮਤ ਸਰਬ ਸਤ੍ਰੂ ਕੁਲ ਦੂਖਨ ॥
dhoomr badan te bamat sarab satraoo kul dookhan |The black eyes and black ornaments will glisten on his black body and his enemies will be in agony
ਅਸ ਭਰਮ ਮਦਨ ਚਤੁਰਥ ਸੁਵਨ ਜਿਦਿਨ ਰੋਸ ਕਰਿ ਧਾਇ ਹੈ ॥
as bharam madan chaturath suvan jidin ros kar dhaae hai |The day, on which this fourth son of the god of love, will move towards you in anger, then,
ਦਲ ਲੂਟ ਕੂਟ ਤੁਮਰੋ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਸੁ ਸਰਬ ਛਿਨਕ ਮਹਿ ਜਾਇ ਹੈ ॥੧੭੬॥
dal loott koott tumaro nripat su sarab chhinak meh jaae hai |176|O king! he will move towards you in anger, then, O king! he will loot and cut down your army in an instant.176.
ਅਉਰ ਅਉਰ ਜੇ ਸੁਭਟਿ ਗਨੋ ਤਿਹ ਨਾਮ ਬਿਚਛਨ ॥
aaur aaur je subhatt gano tih naam bichachhan |The names of other warriors are fantastic also
ਬਡ ਜੋਧਾ ਬਡ ਸੂਰ ਬਡੇ ਜਿਤਵਾਰ ਸੁਲਛਨ ॥
badd jodhaa badd soor badde jitavaar sulachhan |They are all very brave and conquerors of wars
ਕਲਹਿ ਨਾਮ ਇਕ ਨਾਰਿ ਮਹਾ ਕਲ ਰੂਪ ਕਲਹ ਕਰ ॥
kaleh naam ik naar mahaa kal roop kalah kar |There is one woman named Kalha, whose figure is very hideous,
ਲੋਗ ਚਤੁਰਦਸ ਮਾਝਿ ਜਾਸੁ ਛੋਰਾ ਨਹੀ ਸੁਰ ਨਰ ॥
log chaturadas maajh jaas chhoraa nahee sur nar |She has not left untouched any god or man in all the fourteen worlds
ਸਬ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਅਸਤ੍ਰ ਭੀਤਰ ਨਿਪੁਣ ਅਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਤਿਹ ਜਾਨੀਐ ॥
sab sasatr asatr bheetar nipun at prabhaav tih jaaneeai |The warriors skilful in arms and weapons and very influential fighters and
ਸਬ ਦੇਸ ਭੇਸ ਅਰੁ ਰਾਜ ਸਬ ਤ੍ਰਾਸ ਜਵਨ ਕੋ ਮਾਨੀਐ ॥੧੭੭॥
sab des bhes ar raaj sab traas javan ko maaneeai |177|The kings of the countries far and near are fearful of her.177.
ਬੈਰ ਨਾਮ ਇਕ ਬੀਰ ਮਹਾ ਦੁਰ ਧਰਖ ਅਜੈ ਰਣਿ ॥
bair naam ik beer mahaa dur dharakh ajai ran |There is a very fearless hero named Veer who cannot be defeated in battle.
ਕਬਹੁ ਦੀਨ ਨਹੀ ਪੀਠਿ ਅਨਿਕ ਜੀਤੇ ਜਿਹ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਗਣ ॥
kabahu deen nahee peetth anik jeete jih nrip gan |There is one invincible warriors named Shaturta (enmity) who has never shown his back and has conquered many kings
ਲੋਚਨ ਸ੍ਰੌਣਤ ਬਰਣ ਅਰੁਣ ਸਬ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਅੰਗਿ ਤਿਹ ॥
lochan srauanat baran arun sab sasatr ang tih |His eyes and colour were red like blood and there were weapons on all the limbs
ਰਵਿ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ ਸਰ ਧੁਜਾ ਅਰੁਣ ਲਾਜਤ ਲਖਿ ਛਬਿ ਜਿਹ ॥
rav prakaas sar dhujaa arun laajat lakh chhab jih |His banner was like sunshine and seeing his brilliance, even the sun felt shy
ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਬੈਰ ਬੀਰਾ ਬਡੈ ਜਿਦਿਨ ਕ੍ਰੁਧ ਕਰਿ ਗਰਜਿ ਹੈ ॥
eih bhaat bair beeraa baddai jidin krudh kar garaj hai |In this way, this mighty warriors named Shaturta, will roar in anger,
ਬਿਨੁ ਏਕ ਸਾਤਿ ਸੁਨ ਰੇ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਸੁ ਅਉਰ ਨ ਦੂਸਰ ਬਰਜਿ ਹੈ ॥੧੭੮॥
bin ek saat sun re nripat su aaur na doosar baraj hai |178|On that day, none else will confront him except Shanti (peace).178.
ਧੂਮ੍ਰ ਧੁਜਾ ਰਥ ਧੂਮ੍ਰ ਧੂਮ੍ਰ ਸਾਰਥੀ ਬਿਰਾਜਤ ॥
dhoomr dhujaa rath dhoomr dhoomr saarathee biraajat |The back banner, black chariot and the black charioteer look splendid
ਧੂਮ੍ਰ ਬਸਤ੍ਰ ਤਨ ਧਰੇ ਨਿਰਖਿ ਧੂਅਰੋ ਮਨਿ ਲਾਜਤ ॥
dhoomr basatr tan dhare nirakh dhooaro man laajat |Seeing the black garment, even the smoke feels shy in his mind
ਧੂਮ੍ਰ ਧਨੁਖ ਕਰ ਛਕ੍ਯੋ ਬਾਨ ਧੂਮਰੇ ਸੁਹਾਏ ॥
dhoomr dhanukh kar chhakayo baan dhoomare suhaae |There are black arrows for his block how
ਸੁਰ ਨਰ ਨਾਗ ਭੁਜੰਗ ਜਛ ਅਰੁ ਅਸੁਰ ਲਜਾਏ ॥
sur nar naag bhujang jachh ar asur lajaae |Seeing him the gods, men serpents, Yakshas and demons feel shy
ਇਹ ਛਬਿ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਆਲਸ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਜਿਦਿਨ ਜੁਧ ਕਹ ਜੁਟ ਹੈ ॥
eih chhab prabhaav aalas nripat jidin judh kah jutt hai |'Laziness' with the effect of this (type of) image, when the king will engage in war,
ਉਦਮ ਬਿਹੀਨ ਸੁਨ ਰੇ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਅਉਰ ਸਕਲ ਦਲ ਫੁਟ ਹੈ ॥੧੭੯॥
audam biheen sun re nripat aaur sakal dal futt hai |179|O king! this impressive beauty is of Aalas (laziness) and O king! the day he will confront you for fighting, your army without diligence will be fragmented.179.
ਹਰਿਤ ਧੁਜਾ ਅਰੁ ਧਨੁਖ ਹਰਿਤ ਬਾਜੀ ਰਥ ਸੋਭੰਤ ॥
harit dhujaa ar dhanukh harit baajee rath sobhant |green banner, a green bow and a green horse and a green chariot are adorned.
ਹਰਤ ਬਸਤ੍ਰ ਤਨ ਧਰੇ ਨਿਰਖਿ ਸੁਰ ਨਰ ਮਨ ਮੋਹੰਤ ॥
harat basatr tan dhare nirakh sur nar man mohant |Seeing the one having green banner, green bow, green horses, green chariots and wearing green clothes on the body, the gods and men are allured
ਪਵਨ ਬੇਗ ਰਥ ਚਲਤ ਭ੍ਰਮਨ ਬਘੂਲਾ ਲਖਿ ਲਜਿਤ ॥
pavan beg rath chalat bhraman baghoolaa lakh lajit |His chariot moving with the speed of wind, causes the deer to feel shy
ਸੁਨਤ ਸ੍ਰਵਨ ਚਕ ਸਬਦ ਮੇਘ ਮਨ ਮਹਿ ਸੁਖੁ ਸਜਿਤ ॥
sunat sravan chak sabad megh man meh sukh sajit |Hearing his voice, the clouds feel happy in their mind
ਇਹ ਛਬਿ ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪ ਮਦ ਨਾਮ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਜਿਦਿਨ ਤੁਰੰਗ ਨਚਾਇ ਹੈ ॥
eih chhab prataap mad naam nrip jidin turang nachaae hai |The day on which this individual named Garav (pride) will cause his horse to dance before you,
ਬਿਨੁ ਇਕ ਬਿਬੇਕ ਸੁਨ ਲੈ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਸਸੁ ਸਮਰਿ ਨ ਦੂਸਰ ਜਾਇ ਹੈ ॥੧੮੦॥
bin ik bibek sun lai nripat sas samar na doosar jaae hai |180|On that day none else will stay before him except Vivek.180.
ਅਸਿਤ ਧੁਜਾ ਸਾਰਥੀ ਅਸਿਤ ਬਸਤ੍ਰੈ ਅਰੁ ਬਾਜੀ ॥
asit dhujaa saarathee asit basatrai ar baajee |Black (acid) is the flag, black is the charioteer, black are the armor and the horses,
ਅਸਿਤ ਕਵਚ ਤਨ ਕਸੇ ਤਜਤ ਬਾਣਨ ਕੀ ਰਾਜੀ ॥
asit kavach tan kase tajat baanan kee raajee |He, who is decorated with black banner, black charioteer, black garment, black horse, armour etc., who showers a continuous line of arrows,
ਅਸਿਤ ਸਕਲ ਤਿਹ ਬਰਣ ਅਸਿਤ ਲੋਚਨ ਦੁਖ ਮਰਦਨ ॥
asit sakal tih baran asit lochan dukh maradan |His colour is completely black, his eyes are black and he is the destroyer of sufferings
ਅਸਿਤ ਮਣਿਣ ਕੇ ਸਕਲ ਅੰਗਿ ਭੂਖਣ ਰੁਚਿ ਬਰਧਨ ॥
asit manin ke sakal ang bhookhan ruch baradhan |The ornaments of black pearls increase the beauty of his limbs
ਅਸ ਕੁਵ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਬੀਰ ਦੁਰ ਧਰਖ ਅਤਿ ਜਿਦਿਨ ਸਮਰ ਕਹ ਸਜਿ ਹੈ ॥
as kuvrit beer dur dharakh at jidin samar kah saj hai |The day on which that warriors named Kuvrati (evil pledge) will enter the field holding his bow,
ਬਿਨੁ ਇਕ ਧੀਰਜ ਬੀਰਤ ਤਜਿ ਅਉਰ ਸਕਲ ਦਲ ਭਜਿ ਹੈ ॥੧੮੧॥
bin ik dheeraj beerat taj aaur sakal dal bhaj hai |181|The whole army will run away on that day except the one with endurance.181.
ਚਰਮ ਬਰਮ ਕਹ ਧਰੇ ਧਰਮ ਛਤ੍ਰੀ ਕੋ ਧਾਰਤ ॥
charam baram kah dhare dharam chhatree ko dhaarat |(Who) wears the leather armor and holds the Chhatri religion.
ਅਜੈ ਜਾਨਿ ਆਪਨਹਿ ਸਰਬ ਰਣ ਸੁਭਟ ਪਚਾਰਤ ॥
ajai jaan aapaneh sarab ran subhatt pachaarat |Wearing the armour of leather, accomplisher of the vow of Kshatriya challenges all and considers himself unconquerable
ਧਰਨ ਨ ਆਗੈ ਧੀਰ ਬੀਰ ਜਿਹ ਸਾਮੁਹ ਧਾਵਤ ॥
dharan na aagai dheer beer jih saamuh dhaavat |No warrior stays against him and all the gods,
ਸੁਰ ਅਸੁਰ ਅਰੁ ਨਰ ਨਾਰਿ ਜਛ ਗੰਧ੍ਰਬ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵਤ ॥
sur asur ar nar naar jachh gandhrab gun gaavat |Demons, Yakshas, Gandharvas, men, women all sing his praises
ਇਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਗੁਮਾਨ ਜਾ ਦਿਨ ਗਰਜ ਪਰਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਕਰ ਢੂਕ ਹੈ ॥
eih bidh gumaan jaa din garaj param krodh kar dtook hai |The day on which this egoist, getting highly enraged will thunder and stand in front,
ਬਿਨੁ ਇਕ ਸੀਲ ਸੁਨ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਾਣਿ ਸੁ ਅਉਰ ਸਕਲ ਦਲ ਹੂਕ ਹੈ ॥੧੮੨॥
bin ik seel sun nripat nripaan su aaur sakal dal hook hai |182|On that day, O king! all others will be destroyed except sheel (gentleness).182.
