ਕਟ ਭਟ ਲੁਟੇ ॥੧੫॥
katt bhatt lutte |15|

The heroes have abandoned everything and having been chopped several warriors have played with their lives.15.

ਚਮਕਤ ਬਾਣੰ ॥
chamakat baanan |

arrows flashed,

ਫੁਰਹ ਨਿਸਾਣੰ ॥
furah nisaanan |

The arrows are glittering and the flags are flying

ਚਟ ਪਟ ਜੂਟੇ ॥
chatt patt jootte |

Warriors used to mobilize (in war).

ਅਰ ਉਰ ਫੂਟੇ ॥੧੬॥
ar ur footte |16|

The warriors are fighting face to face very quickly and the blood is oozing out of their chests.16.

ਨਰ ਬਰ ਗਜੇ ॥
nar bar gaje |

The mighty warriors were roaring.

ਸਰ ਬਰ ਸਜੇ ॥
sar bar saje |

Bedecked with the arrows, the brave warriors are roaring

ਸਿਲਹ ਸੰਜੋਯੰ ॥
silah sanjoyan |

Warriors were adorned with armor and armor

ਸੁਰ ਪੁਰ ਪੋਯੰ ॥੧੭॥
sur pur poyan |17|

They are ornamented with steel armours and are moving towards heaven.17.

When the superior arrows are discharged, the chests of the enemies are wounded.

(The arrows) quickly (would tear through the shield).

The shields being cut are producing knocking sound and the armours are being torn.18.

NARAAJ STANZA

ਦਿਨੇਸ ਬਾਣ ਪਾਣ ਲੈ ਰਿਪੇਸ ਤਾਕ ਧਾਈਯੰ ॥
dines baan paan lai ripes taak dhaaeeyan |

Suraj ran with an arrow in his hand seeing the great enemy Dirgha Kai.

ਅਨੰਤ ਜੁਧ ਕ੍ਰੁਧ ਸੁਧੁ ਭੂਮ ਮੈ ਮਚਾਈਯੰ ॥
anant judh krudh sudh bhoom mai machaaeeyan |

Taking his arrow in his hand, Suraj ran towards the enemy Deeraghkaya and in great ire began a dreadful war.

ਕਿਤੇਕ ਭਾਜ ਚਾਲੀਯੰ ਸੁਰੇਸ ਲੋਗ ਕੋ ਗਏ ॥
kitek bhaaj chaaleeyan sures log ko ge |

How many giants fled and went to Indra Puri.

ਨਿਸੰਤ ਜੀਤ ਜੀਤ ਕੈ ਅਨੰਤ ਸੂਰਮਾ ਲਏ ॥੧੯॥
nisant jeet jeet kai anant sooramaa le |19|

Many people came running under the refuge of gods, and Suraj, who ends the night, conquered many warriors.19.

ਸਮਟ ਸੇਲ ਸਾਮੁਹੇ ਸਰਕ ਸੂਰ ਝਾੜਹੀਂ ॥
samatt sel saamuhe sarak soor jhaarraheen |

The warriors used to shoot their spears in front of them.

ਬਬਕ ਬਾਘ ਜਯੋਂ ਬਲੀ ਹਲਕ ਹਾਕ ਮਾਰਹੀਂ ॥
babak baagh jayon balee halak haak maaraheen |

The warriors are striking the daggers, holding them tightly and coming face to face and the brave fighters are challenging one another, roaring like the lions.

ਅਭੰਗ ਅੰਗ ਭੰਗ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਉਤੰਗ ਜੰਗ ਮੋ ਗਿਰੇ ॥
abhang ang bhang hvai utang jang mo gire |

The two limbs of those with strong limbs (abhang) were getting broken and were bouncing and falling on the battlefield.

ਸੁਰੰਗ ਸੂਰਮਾ ਸਭੈ ਨਿਸੰਗ ਜਾਨ ਕੈ ਅਰੈ ॥੨੦॥
surang sooramaa sabhai nisang jaan kai arai |20|

The firm limbs, after swinging continuously, are falling down and the brave and beautiful fighters, fearlessly coming face to face with others are clashing.20.

ਅਰਧ ਨਰਾਜ ਛੰਦ ॥
aradh naraaj chhand |

ARDH NARAAJ STANZA

ਨਵੰ ਨਿਸਾਣ ਬਾਜੀਯੰ ॥
navan nisaan baajeeyan |

New songs were playing

ਘਟਾ ਘਮੰਡ ਲਾਜੀਯੰ ॥
ghattaa ghamandd laajeeyan |

Listening to the resonance of the trumpets, the clouds are feeling shy.

ਤਬਲ ਤੁੰਦਰੰ ਬਜੇ ॥
tabal tundaran baje |

Little bells began to play,

ਸੁਣੰਤ ਸੂਰਮਾ ਗਜੇ ॥੨੧॥
sunant sooramaa gaje |21|

The fastened trumpets have resounded and haring their sound, the warriors are thundering.21.

ਸੁ ਜੂਝਿ ਜੂਝਿ ਕੈ ਪਰੈਂ ॥
su joojh joojh kai parain |

(Warriors) used to fall fighting

ਸੁਰੇਸ ਲੋਗ ਬਿਚਰੈਂ ॥
sures log bicharain |

Fighting ferociously, the gods and their kings are moving (here and there).

ਚੜੈ ਬਿਵਾਨ ਸੋਭਹੀ ॥
charrai bivaan sobhahee |

They used to climb on the planes and show off.

ਅਦੇਵ ਦੇਵ ਲੋਭਹੀ ॥੨੨॥
adev dev lobhahee |22|

They are roaming by mountain on air-vehicles and the harts of the gods and demons both are feeling envious.22.

ਬੇਲੀ ਬਿੰਦ੍ਰਮ ਛੰਦ ॥

BELI BINDRAM STANZA

ਡਹ ਡਹ ਸੁ ਡਾਮਰ ਡੰਕਣੀ ॥
ddah ddah su ddaamar ddankanee |

Dah-dah drums were playing

ਕਹ ਕਹ ਸੁ ਕੂਕਤ ਜੋਗਣੀ ॥
kah kah su kookat joganee |

The sound of he tabors of vampires and the cries of the Yoginis are being heard.

ਝਮ ਝਮਕ ਸਾਗ ਝਮਕੀਯੰ ॥
jham jhamak saag jhamakeeyan |

The glittering spears were shining

ਰਣ ਗਾਜ ਬਾਜ ਉਥਕੀਯੰ ॥੨੩॥
ran gaaj baaj uthakeeyan |23|

The daggers are glistening and glittering and the elephants and horses are jumping in the battlefield.23.

ਢਮ ਢਮਕ ਢੋਲ ਢਮਕੀਯੰ ॥
dtam dtamak dtol dtamakeeyan |

Drums were beating,

ਝਲ ਝਲਕ ਤੇਗ ਝਲਕੀਯੰ ॥
jhal jhalak teg jhalakeeyan |

The resonance of drum is being heard and the luster of swords is glimmering.

ਜਟ ਛੋਰ ਰੁਦ੍ਰ ਤਹ ਨਚੀਯੰ ॥
jatt chhor rudr tah nacheeyan |

Rudra used to dance there with his (head) bun untied.

ਬਿਕ੍ਰਾਰ ਮਾਰ ਤਹ ਮਚੀਯੰ ॥੨੪॥
bikraar maar tah macheeyan |24|

Rudra is also dancing there with his loosened matted hair and a dreadful war is being waged there.24.

TOTAK STANZA

ਉਥਕੇ ਰਣ ਬੀਰਣ ਬਾਜ ਬਰੰ ॥
authake ran beeran baaj baran |

The horses of the warriors used to jump in the field.

ਝਮਕੀ ਘਣ ਬਿਜੁ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਣ ਕਰੰ ॥
jhamakee ghan bij kripaan karan |

The winsome horses of the warriors are jumping in the war and the sword are glistening in their hands like the flash of lightning in the clouds.

ਲਹਕੇ ਰਣ ਧੀਰਣ ਬਾਣ ਉਰੰ ॥
lahake ran dheeran baan uran |

Through the breast of the brave (heroes) of the Rann,

ਰੰਗ ਸ੍ਰੋਣਤ ਰਤ ਕਢੇ ਦੁਸਰੰ ॥੨੫॥
rang sronat rat kadte dusaran |25|

The arrows are seen penetrated in the waist of the warriors and they are taking out the blood of one antoher.25.

ਫਹਰੰਤ ਧੁਜਾ ਥਹਰੰਤ ਭਟੰ ॥
faharant dhujaa thaharant bhattan |

Flags waved and knights marched,

ਨਿਰਖੰਤ ਲਜੀ ਛਬਿ ਸਯਾਮ ਘਟੰ ॥
nirakhant lajee chhab sayaam ghattan |

The flags are fluttering and the brave fighters have become fearful, seeing the glitter of the arrows and the swords, the lightning in the dark clouds is also feeling shy
