ਗਿਰੇ ਪਾਕ ਸਾਹੀਦ ਯਾਕੀਨ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਕੈ ॥
gire paak saaheed yaakeen hvai kai |

And surely they were falling down after attaining holy martyrdom.

ਕਹੂੰ ਬੀਰ ਬਾਕੇ ਨਚਾਵੈ ਤੁਰੰਗੈ ॥
kahoon beer baake nachaavai turangai |

Somewhere the brave horses were dancing

ਕਹੂੰ ਜੰਗ ਜੋਧਾ ਬਿਰਾਜੈ ਉਤੰਗੈ ॥੧੬੭॥
kahoon jang jodhaa biraajai utangai |167|

And somewhere in the war, the high warriors were showing glory. 167.

ਕਹੂੰ ਬੀਰ ਬਾਨੈਤ ਬੀਰੇ ਉਠਾਵੈਂ ॥
kahoon beer baanait beere utthaavain |

Somewhere Banke Bir (of war) was raising debts.

ਕਹੂੰ ਖੇਤ ਮੈ ਖਿੰਗ ਖਤ੍ਰੀ ਨਚਾਵੈਂ ॥
kahoon khet mai khing khatree nachaavain |

Somewhere in the war-zone the umbrella horses ('Khing') were dancing.

ਕਹੂੰ ਕੋਪ ਕੈ ਕੈ ਹਠੀ ਦਾਤ ਚਾਬੈਂ ॥
kahoon kop kai kai hatthee daat chaabain |

Somewhere in anger, the Hathi (warriors) were gnashing their teeth.

ਕਿਤੇ ਮੂੰਛ ਐਂਠੈ ਕਿਤੇ ਪਾਗ ਦਾਬੈਂ ॥੧੬੮॥
kite moonchh aaintthai kite paag daabain |168|

Somewhere (the warriors) were twisting their mustaches and somewhere their feet were moving. 168.

ਦੁਹੂੰ ਓਰ ਗਾਜੇ ਜਬੈ ਛਤ੍ਰਧਾਰੀ ॥
duhoon or gaaje jabai chhatradhaaree |

When chhatradharis (soldiers) roared from both sides,

ਮਚੋ ਲੋਹ ਗਾੜੋ ਪਰੀ ਮਾਰਿ ਭਾਰੀ ॥
macho loh gaarro paree maar bhaaree |

So a terrible war broke out and a lot of slaughter started.

ਮਹਾ ਕੋਪ ਕੈ ਬੀਰ ਬਾਜੀ ਉਚਕੈ ॥
mahaa kop kai beer baajee uchakai |

Being very angry, the soldiers and horses started jumping.

ਲਗੇ ਦੇਹ ਮੋ ਘਾਇ ਗਾੜੇ ਭਭਕੈ ॥੧੬੯॥
lage deh mo ghaae gaarre bhabhakai |169|

(Blood from) the deep wounds in the bodies began to bleed. 169.

ਕਹੂੰ ਕੁੰਡਲਾਕਾਰ ਮੁੰਡੈ ਬਿਰਾਜੈ ॥
kahoon kunddalaakaar munddai biraajai |

Somewhere Kundaldars (with hair) were adorning their heads

ਲਖੇ ਮੁੰਡ ਮਾਲਾਹੁ ਕੇ ਮੁੰਡ ਲਾਜੈ ॥
lakhe mundd maalaahu ke mundd laajai |

Seeing (them) they were removing the ends of the garlands around Shiva's neck.

ਕਹੂੰ ਘੂੰਮ ਘੂਮੈ ਪਰੇ ਬੀਰ ਭਾਰੀ ॥
kahoon ghoonm ghoomai pare beer bhaaree |

Somewhere the great warriors had fallen down after being eaten.

ਮਨੋ ਸਿਧ੍ਰਯ ਬੈਠੇ ਲਗੇ ਜੋਗ ਤਾਰੀ ॥੧੭੦॥
mano sidhray baitthe lage jog taaree |170|

(It seemed like this) as if he was sitting with the clapping of Siddha Yoga. 170.

ਤਹਾ ਸ੍ਰੋਨ ਕੀ ਕੂਲ ਘਾਰੀ ਬਿਰਾਜੈ ॥
tahaa sron kee kool ghaaree biraajai |

A river of blood was flowing there, seeing that

ਲਖੈ ਅਸਟ ਨਦ੍ਰਯਾਨ ਕੋ ਦ੍ਰਪ ਭਾਜੈ ॥
lakhai asatt nadrayaan ko drap bhaajai |

The pride of the eight (sacred) rivers was disappearing.

ਤਹਾ ਬ੍ਰਿੰਦ ਬਾਜੀ ਬਹੇ ਨਕ੍ਰ ਜੈਸੇ ॥
tahaa brind baajee bahe nakr jaise |

Many herds of horses were flowing in it like crocodiles.

ਲਸੈ ਮਤ ਦੰਤੀ ਮਹਾ ਸੈਲ ਕੈਸੇ ॥੧੭੧॥
lasai mat dantee mahaa sail kaise |171|

Mast elephants were looking like big mountains. 171.

ਧੁਜਾ ਬ੍ਰਿਛ ਤਾ ਮੋ ਬਹੇ ਜਾਤ ਐਸੇ ॥
dhujaa brichh taa mo bahe jaat aaise |

The flags were being waved in it like arrows

ਲਸੈ ਡੰਡ ਪਤ੍ਰੀ ਬਿਨਾ ਪਤ੍ਰ ਜੈਸੇ ॥
lasai ddandd patree binaa patr jaise |

As the sticks without addresses were flowing.

ਕਹੂੰ ਛਤ੍ਰ ਤਾ ਮੋ ਬਹੇ ਜਾਤ ਕਾਟੇ ॥
kahoon chhatr taa mo bahe jaat kaatte |

Somewhere in it, the cut umbrellas were flowing.

ਮਨੋ ਫੇਨ ਸੇ ਬਾਰਿ ਮੈ ਬਸਤ੍ਰ ਫਾਟੇ ॥੧੭੨॥
mano fen se baar mai basatr faatte |172|

The foam looked as if torn clothes were (floating) in the water. 172.

ਕਹੂੰ ਬਾਹ ਕਾਟੀ ਬਹੇ ਜਾਤ ਐਸੇ ॥
kahoon baah kaattee bahe jaat aaise |

Somewhere the severed arm was being washed like this,

ਮਨੋ ਪੰਚ ਬਕ੍ਰਤਾਨ ਕੇ ਨਾਗ ਜੈਸੇ ॥
mano panch bakrataan ke naag jaise |

As if Shiva ('Panch Bakratan') were snakes.

ਚੜੇ ਬੀਰ ਬਾਜੀ ਬਹੇ ਜਾਤ ਮਾਰੇ ॥
charre beer baajee bahe jaat maare |

Somewhere the slain warriors on horseback were wandering,

ਸਨਾਹੀਨ ਕੇ ਸ੍ਵਾਰ ਪਾਰੈ ਪਧਾਰੇ ॥੧੭੩॥
sanaaheen ke svaar paarai padhaare |173|

As the (persons) riding on the mashkas ('sanahin') were going across. 173.

ਕਹੂੰ ਖੋਲ ਖੰਡੇ ਬਹੇ ਜਾਤ ਮਾਰੇ ॥
kahoon khol khandde bahe jaat maare |

Somewhere (broken) fragments and sheaths were being (thus) shed,

ਮਨੋ ਏਕਠੇ ਕਛ ਮਛ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਪਧਾਰੇ ॥
mano ekatthe kachh machh hvai padhaare |

As if the armpits and the fish are being washed together.

ਤਹਾ ਪਾਗ ਛੂਟੇ ਬਹੇ ਜਾਤ ਐਸੇ ॥
tahaa paag chhootte bahe jaat aaise |

There the open turbans were flowing like this,

ਮਨੋ ਤੀਸ ਬ੍ਰਯਾਮਾਨ ਕੇ ਨਾਗ ਜੈਸੇ ॥੧੭੪॥
mano tees brayaamaan ke naag jaise |174|

As if there were thirty biyamans (two yards in length) long snakes. 174.

ਝਖੀ ਝੁੰਡ ਜਾ ਮੈ ਕਟਾਰੀ ਬਿਰਾਜੈ ॥
jhakhee jhundd jaa mai kattaaree biraajai |

In it, the stingers were adorned like a school of fishes.

ਲਖੇ ਖਿੰਗ ਬਾਕੇ ਬਲੀ ਨਾਗ ਲਾਜੈ ॥
lakhe khing baake balee naag laajai |

Even strong snakes used to get scared seeing the white horses.

ਕਹੂੰ ਚਰਮ ਕਾਟੇ ਗਿਰੇ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਅਸਤ੍ਰੈ ॥
kahoon charam kaatte gire sasatr asatrai |

Somewhere shields ('skin') were cut and (somewhere) weapons and armor fell.

ਕਹੂੰ ਬੀਰ ਬਾਜੀ ਬਹੇ ਜਾਤ ਬਸਤ੍ਰੈ ॥੧੭੫॥
kahoon beer baajee bahe jaat basatrai |175|

Somewhere the soldiers and horses were being swept along with the armor. 175.

ਹਲਾਚਾਲ ਕੈ ਕੈ ਹਠੀ ਦੈਤ ਢੂਕੇ ॥
halaachaal kai kai hatthee dait dtooke |

The stubborn giants were ready to move

ਚਹੂੰ ਓਰ ਗਾਜੇ ਮਹਾ ਕਾਲ ਜੂ ਕੇ ॥
chahoon or gaaje mahaa kaal joo ke |

And there were thunders on all four sides of Maha Kal Ji.

ਕਿਤੇ ਕੋਪ ਕੈ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਅਸਤ੍ਰੈ ਚਲਾਵੈ ॥
kite kop kai sasatr asatrai chalaavai |

Somewhere, angry, weapons were being fired

ਕਿਤੇ ਸੰਖ ਔ ਭੀਮ ਭੇਰੀ ਬਜਾਵੈ ॥੧੭੬॥
kite sankh aau bheem bheree bajaavai |176|

And somewhere Sankh and big drums were playing. 176.

ਮਹਾ ਫੂਲਿ ਫੀਲੀ ਨਗਾਰੇ ਬਜੈ ਕੈ ॥
mahaa fool feelee nagaare bajai kai |

The mahawats ('feely') were very happy and were singing their songs

ਚਲੇ ਦੁੰਦਭੀ ਤਾਜਿਯੌ ਕੇ ਸੁਨੈ ਕੈ ॥
chale dundabhee taajiyau ke sunai kai |

And some bells were being sounded on the horses.

ਮਚੇ ਕੋਪ ਕੈ ਸੁ ਉਸਟੀ ਦਮਾਮੇ ॥
mache kop kai su usattee damaame |

The bells tied on the camels were being sounded furiously,

ਮਨੋ ਬਾਜ ਟੁਟੇ ਲਖੇ ਲਾਲ ਤਾਮੇ ॥੧੭੭॥
mano baaj ttutte lakhe laal taame |177|

It is as if the hawks are falling apart after seeing the red (meat) food. 177.

ਕਿਤੇ ਬੀਰ ਬਾਕੇ ਧਰੇ ਲਾਲ ਬਾਨੇ ॥
kite beer baake dhare laal baane |

Somewhere, the brave warriors wore red ribbons.

ਕਿਤੇ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਔ ਸੇਤ ਕੀਨੇ ਨਿਸਾਨੇ ॥
kite sayaam aau set keene nisaane |

Somewhere white and black marks (flags) were made.

ਕਿਤੇ ਹਰਤਿ ਯੌ ਪੀਤ ਬਾਨੇ ਸੁਹਾਏ ॥
kite harat yau peet baane suhaae |

Somewhere the green and yellow fabrics were adorned like this,

ਹਠੀ ਚੁੰਗ ਬਾਧੇ ਚਲੇ ਖੇਤ ਆਏ ॥੧੭੮॥
hatthee chung baadhe chale khet aae |178|

It is as if stubborn warriors have come to the war zone after tying juts. 178.

ਕਿਤੇ ਢਾਲ ਢਾਪੈ ਕਿਤੇ ਚੋਟ ਓਟੈ ॥
kite dtaal dtaapai kite chott ottai |

Some were being covered with shields and some were being taken from wounds.
