ਕਉਤਕਿ ਦੇਖਿ ਦੋਊ ਠਟਕੇ ਦਲ ਬਿਓਮ ਤੇ ਦੇਵਨ ਬੈਨ ਸੁਨਾਏ ॥

ਲਾਗੀ ਅਵਾਰ ਮੁਰਾਰਿ ਸੁਨੋ ਪਲ ਮੈ ਮਧੁ ਸੇ ਮੁਰ ਸੇ ਤੁਮ ਘਾਏ ॥੧੩੬੭॥
laagee avaar muraar suno pal mai madh se mur se tum ghaae |1367|Seeing this sport from the sky, the gods said, “O Krishna! you are delaying, because you killed the demons like Mur and Madhu Kaitabh in an instant.”1367.
ਚਾਰ ਮਹੂਰਤ ਜੁਧੁ ਭਯੋ ਥਕ ਕੈ ਹਰਿ ਜੂ ਇਹ ਘਾਤ ਬਿਚਾਰਿਓ ॥

ਮਾਰਹੁ ਨਾਹਿ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਸੁ ਸਹੀ ਮੁਰਿ ਕੈ ਅਰਿ ਪਾਛੇ ਕੀ ਓਰਿ ਨਿਹਾਰਿਓ ॥
maarahu naeh kahiyo su sahee mur kai ar paachhe kee or nihaario |The war continued throughout the day, then Krishna devised a method. He said, “I am not killing you,” and saying this, when the enemy looked behind,
ਐਸੇ ਹੀ ਤੀਛਨ ਲੈ ਅਸਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਹਰਿ ਸਤ੍ਰ ਕੀ ਗ੍ਰੀਵ ਕੇ ਊਪਰ ਝਾਰਿਓ ॥
aaise hee teechhan lai as sree har satr kee greev ke aoopar jhaario |
ਐਸੀ ਏ ਭਾਤਿ ਹਨਿਓ ਰਿਪੁ ਕਉ ਅਪਨੇ ਦਲ ਕੋ ਸਭ ਤ੍ਰਾਸ ਨਿਵਾਰਿਯੋ ॥੧੩੬੮॥
aaisee e bhaat hanio rip kau apane dal ko sabh traas nivaariyo |1368|He very quickly at that very instant, struck a blow on the neck of the enemy with his sharp sword and in this way, killing the enemy, removed the fear of his army.1368.
ਯੌ ਅਰਿ ਮਾਰਿ ਲਯੋ ਰਨ ਮੈ ਅਤਿ ਹੀ ਮਨ ਮੈ ਹਰਿ ਜੂ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਯੋ ॥
yau ar maar layo ran mai at hee man mai har joo sukh paayo |
ਆਪਨੀ ਸੈਨ ਨਿਹਾਰ ਮੁਰਾਰਿ ਮਹਾ ਬਲੁ ਧਾਰ ਕੈ ਸੰਖ ਬਜਾਯੋ ॥
aapanee sain nihaar muraar mahaa bal dhaar kai sankh bajaayo |In this way, killing his enemy, Krishna was pleased and looking at his army, he blew his conch forcefully
ਸੰਤ ਸਹਾਇਕ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬ੍ਰਿਜ ਨਾਇਕ ਹੈ ਸਬ ਲਾਇਕ ਨਾਮ ਕਹਾਯੋ ॥
sant sahaaeik sree brij naaeik hai sab laaeik naam kahaayo |He is the support of the saints and capable of doing everything, he, the Lord of Braja
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਹਰਿ ਜੂ ਮੁਖ ਐਸੇ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਚਤੁਰੰਗ ਚਮੂੰ ਰਨ ਜੁਧੁ ਮਚਾਯੋ ॥੧੩੬੯॥
sree har joo mukh aaise kahiyo chaturang chamoon ran judh machaayo |1369|Under his command, his army of four divisions, waged a terrible war in the battlefield.1369.

ਤਿਹ ਭੂਪਤਿ ਕੋ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਇਕ ਖੜਗ ਸਿੰਘ ਤਿਹ ਨਾਮ ॥
tih bhoopat ko mitr ik kharrag singh tih naam |
ਪੈਰੇ ਸਮਰ ਸਮੁਦ੍ਰ ਬਹੁ ਮਹਾਰਥੀ ਬਲ ਧਾਮ ॥੧੩੭੦॥
paire samar samudr bahu mahaarathee bal dhaam |1370|A friend of that king named Kharag Singh was there, who was an excellent swimmer of the ocean of war and an abode of great strength.1370.
ਕ੍ਰੁਧਤ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਅਤਿ ਮਨ ਬਿਖੈ ਚਾਰ ਭੂਪ ਤਿਹ ਸਾਥ ॥

ਜੁਧੁ ਕਰਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਉ ਚਲਿਯੋ ਅਮਿਤ ਸੈਨ ਲੈ ਸਾਥ ॥੧੩੭੧॥
judh karan har siau chaliyo amit sain lai saath |1371|Taking four kings and innumerable forces alongwith him, he, in great ire, went for war with Krishna.1371.

dharam singh bhav singh badde balavant judh kar |There were many warriors there including Kharag Singh, Bar Singh, Gavan Singh, Dharam Singh, Bhav Singh etc.,
ਰਥ ਅਨੇਕ ਸੰਗ ਲੀਏ ਸੁਭਟ ਬਹੁ ਬਾਜਤ ਸਜਤ ॥
rath anek sang lee subhatt bahu baajat sajat |He took with himself many chariots and warriors
ਦਸ ਹਜਾਰ ਗਜ ਮਤ ਚਲੇ ਘਨੀਅਰ ਜਿਮ ਗਜਤ ॥
das hajaar gaj mat chale ghaneear jim gajat |Ten thousand of elephants moved thundering like clouds
ਮਿਲਿ ਘੇਰਿ ਲੀਓ ਤਿਨ ਕਉ ਤਿਨੋ ਸੁ ਕਬਿ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਜਸੁ ਲਖਿ ਲੀਯੋ ॥
mil gher leeo tin kau tino su kab sayaam jas lakh leeyo |They collectively besieged Krishna and his army
ਰਿਤੁ ਪਾਵਸ ਮੈ ਘਨ ਘਟਾ ਜਿਉ ਘੋਰ ਮਨੋ ਨਰ ਬੋਲੀਓ ॥੧੩੭੨॥
rit paavas mai ghan ghattaa jiau ghor mano nar boleeo |1372|The enemy’s army was thundering and roaring like the dense clouds in the rainy season.1372.

ਜਾਦਵ ਕੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਹੁਤੇ ਨਿਕਸੇ ਭੂਪ ਸੁ ਚਾਰ ॥

ਨਾਮ ਸਰਸ ਸਿੰਘ ਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਹਾ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਾਰ ॥੧੩੭੩॥
naam saras singh beer singh mahaa singh singh saar |1373|From this side, from the army of Yadavas, four kings came forward, whose names were Saras Singh, Vir Singh, Maha Singh and Saar Singh.1373.
ਖੜਗ ਸਿੰਘ ਕੇ ਸੰਗ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਚਾਰਿ ਚਾਰੁ ਮਤਿਵੰਤ ॥
kharrag singh ke sang nrip chaar chaar mativant |There were four intoxicated kings with Kharag Singh
ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਓਰ ਚਲੇ ਮਨੋ ਆਯੋ ਇਨ ਕੋ ਅੰਤੁ ॥੧੩੭੪॥
har kee or chale mano aayo in ko ant |1374|They marched towards Krishna like the persons nearing their final doom.1374.
ਸਰਸ ਮਹਾ ਅਉ ਸਾਰ ਪੁਨਿ ਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਏ ਚਾਰ ॥
saras mahaa aau saar pun beer singh e chaar |
ਜਾਦਵ ਸੈਨਾ ਤੇ ਤਬੈ ਨਿਕਸੇ ਅਤਿ ਬਲੁ ਧਾਰਿ ॥੧੩੭੫॥
jaadav sainaa te tabai nikase at bal dhaar |1375|Coming out from the army of Yadavas, Saras Singh, Maha Singh, Saar Singh and Vir Singh came in their powerful form.1375.
ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਦਿਸ ਕੇ ਚਤੁਰ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਤਿਨ ਵਹ ਲੀਨੇ ਮਾਰਿ ॥
har kee dis ke chatur nrip tin vah leene maar |
ਖੜਗ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤਿ ਕੋਪ ਕਰਿ ਦੀਨੋ ਇਨਹ ਸੰਘਾਰਿ ॥੧੩੭੬॥
kharrag singh at kop kar deeno inah sanghaar |1376|Kharag Singh killed in his fury all the four kings from the side of Krishna.1376.

ਸ੍ਰੀ ਹਰਿ ਓਰ ਤੇ ਅਉਰ ਨਰੇਸ ਚਲੇ ਤਿਨ ਸੰਗਿ ਮਹਾ ਦਲੁ ਲੀਨੋ ॥
sree har or te aaur nares chale tin sang mahaa dal leeno |Other kings came forward from the side of Krishna, whose names were Surat Singh, Sampuran Singh, Bar Singh etc.
ਸੂਰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਪੂਰਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਚਲਿਯੋ ਬਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਸੁ ਕੋਪ ਪ੍ਰਬੀਨੋ ॥
soorat singh sapooran singh chaliyo bar singh su kop prabeeno |They were wrathful and were specialists in warfare.
ਅਉ ਮਤਿ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਜਿਯੋ ਤਨ ਕਉਚ ਸੁ ਸਸਤ੍ਰਨ ਅਸਤ੍ਰਨ ਮਾਝਿ ਪ੍ਰਬੀਨੋ ॥
aau mat singh sajiyo tan kauch su sasatran asatran maajh prabeeno |
ਧਾਇ ਕੈ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਖੜਗੇਸ ਕੇ ਸੰਗਿ ਜੁ ਚਾਰ ਹੀ ਭੂਪਨ ਆਹਵ ਕੀਨੋ ॥੧੩੭੭॥
dhaae kai sree kharrages ke sang ju chaar hee bhoopan aahav keeno |1377|Mat Singh also wore his armour in order to protect his body from the blows of arms and weapons and these four kings waged a dreadful war with Kharag Singh.1377.

aut doaoo dis kee larat sabal sain chaturang |1378|On this side all these four kings fought with Kharag Singh and on that side the four divisions of both armies were engaged in terrible warfare.1378.

ਪੈਦਲ ਸਿਉ ਪੈਦਲ ਲਰਤ ਭਏ ਰਨ ਬੀਚ ਜੁਧ ਹੀ ਮੈ ਰਾਖਿਓ ਮਨ ਰਾਖਿਓ ਨ ਗ੍ਰਿਹਨ ਮੈ ॥
paidal siau paidal larat bhe ran beech judh hee mai raakhio man raakhio na grihan mai |The charioteers began to fight with charioteers, the chariot-owners with chariot-owners, the riders with riders and the soldiers on foot with soldiers on foot in rage, forsaking their attachment of their home and family
ਸੈਥੀ ਜਮਧਾਰ ਤਰਵਾਰੈ ਘਨੀ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਕਹੈ ਮੁਸਲੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਸੂਲ ਬਾਨ ਚਲੇ ਤਾ ਹੀ ਛਿਨ ਮੈ ॥
saithee jamadhaar taravaarai ghanee sayaam kahai musalee trisool baan chale taa hee chhin mai |The daggers, swords, tridents, maces and arrows were struck
ਦੰਤਨ ਸਿਉ ਦੰਤੀ ਪੈ ਬਜੰਤ੍ਰਨ ਸਿਉ ਬਜੰਤ੍ਰੀ ਲਰਿਓ ਚਾਰਨ ਸਿਉ ਚਾਰਨ ਭਿਰਿਓ ਹੈ ਤਾਹੀ ਰਨ ਮੈ ॥੧੩੭੯॥
dantan siau dantee pai bajantran siau bajantree lario chaaran siau chaaran bhirio hai taahee ran mai |1379|The elephant fought with elephant, the speaker with speaker and the minstrel with mistrel.1379.
