ਚਟਪਟ ਲਾਗੀ ਅਟਪਟ ਪਾਯੰ ॥
chattapatt laagee attapatt paayan |All (Ram Chandra's) feet came
ਨਰਬਰ ਨਿਰਖੇ ਰਘੁਬਰ ਰਾਯੰ ॥੬੨੭॥
narabar nirakhe raghubar raayan |627|Ram saw all the spectacle.627.
ਚਟਪਟ ਲੋਟੈਂ ਅਟਪਟ ਧਰਣੀ ॥
chattapatt lottain attapatt dharanee |(Those) were lying here and there on the earth.
ਕਸਿ ਕਸਿ ਰੋਵੈਂ ਬਰਨਰ ਬਰਣੀ ॥
kas kas rovain baranar baranee |The queens rolled on the earth and began to weep and lament in various ways
ਪਟਪਟ ਡਾਰੈਂ ਅਟਪਟ ਕੇਸੰ ॥
pattapatt ddaarain attapatt kesan |Tossed and tossed her unkempt hair,
ਬਟ ਹਰਿ ਕੂਕੈਂ ਨਟ ਵਰ ਭੇਸੰ ॥੬੨੮॥
batt har kookain natt var bhesan |628|They pulled their hair and garments and cried and shrieked in various ways.628.
ਚਟਪਟ ਚੀਰੰ ਅਟਪਟ ਪਾਰੈਂ ॥
chattapatt cheeran attapatt paarain |were tearing the beautiful armor into disrepair,
ਧਰ ਕਰ ਧੂਮੰ ਸਰਬਰ ਡਾਰੈਂ ॥
dhar kar dhooman sarabar ddaarain |They began to tear their raiments and put the dust on their heads
ਸਟਪਟ ਲੋਟੈਂ ਖਟਪਟ ਭੂਮੰ ॥
sattapatt lottain khattapatt bhooman |Soon they were lying on the ground, digging their teeth with grief
ਝਟਪਟ ਝੂਰੈਂ ਘਰਹਰ ਘੂਮੰ ॥੬੨੯॥
jhattapatt jhoorain gharahar ghooman |629|They in great sorrow cried, threw themselves down and rolled.629.

ਜਬੈ ਰਾਮ ਦੇਖੈ ॥
jabai raam dekhai |When (they) saw Rama
ਮਹਾ ਰੂਪ ਲੇਖੈ ॥
mahaa roop lekhai |Then the big form became known.
ਰਹੀ ਨਯਾਇ ਸੀਸੰ ॥
rahee nayaae seesan |All queens heads
ਸਭੈ ਨਾਰ ਈਸੰ ॥੬੩੦॥
sabhai naar eesan |630|When all of them saw the most beautiful Ram, they bowed their heads and stood before him.630.
ਲਖੈਂ ਰੂਪ ਮੋਹੀ ॥
lakhain roop mohee |Fascinated by seeing Rama's form,
ਫਿਰੀ ਰਾਮ ਦੇਹੀ ॥
firee raam dehee |They were allured to see the beauty of Ram
ਦਈ ਤਾਹਿ ਲੰਕਾ ॥
dee taeh lankaa |To him (Vibhishan) (Rama) (gave) Lanka.
ਜਿਮੰ ਰਾਜ ਟੰਕਾ ॥੬੩੧॥
jiman raaj ttankaa |631|There was talk about Ram on all the four sides and they all gave Ram the kingdom of Lanka like the tax-payer setting tax with the authority.631.
ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟ ਭੀਨੇ ॥
kripaa drisatt bheene |(Rama) became drenched with grace-vision
ਤਰੇ ਨੇਤ੍ਰ ਕੀਨੇ ॥
tare netr keene |Ram bowed down his eyes filled with grace
ਝਰੈ ਬਾਰ ਐਸੇ ॥
jharai baar aaise |Water was flowing from them like this
ਮਹਾ ਮੇਘ ਜੈਸੇ ॥੬੩੨॥
mahaa megh jaise |632|Seeing him, the tears of joy flowed down from the eyes of people like the rain falling from the clouds.632.
ਛਕੀ ਪੇਖ ਨਾਰੀ ॥
chhakee pekh naaree |Seeing (Rama) the women became happy,
ਸਰੰ ਕਾਮ ਮਾਰੀ ॥
saran kaam maaree |Struck by lust's arrow,
ਬਿਧੀ ਰੂਪ ਰਾਮੰ ॥
bidhee roop raaman |Pierced with the form of Rama.
ਮਹਾ ਧਰਮ ਧਾਮੰ ॥੬੩੩॥
mahaa dharam dhaaman |633|The woman allured by lust, were delighted to see Ram and they all ended their identity in Ram, the abode of Dharma. 633.
ਤਜੀ ਨਾਥ ਪ੍ਰੀਤੰ ॥
tajee naath preetan |(The queens have left the love of their) lord.
ਚੁਭੇ ਰਾਮ ਚੀਤੰ ॥
chubhe raam cheetan |Rama is engrossed in (their) minds.
ਰਹੀ ਜੋਰ ਨੈਣੰ ॥
rahee jor nainan |(So the eyes were connecting
ਕਹੈਂ ਮਦ ਬੈਣੰ ॥੬੩੪॥
kahain mad bainan |634|They all absorbed their minds in Ram, forsaking the love of their husbands and looking towards him resolutely, they began to talk with one another.634.
ਸੀਆ ਨਾਥ ਨੀਕੇ ॥
seea naath neeke |Ram Chandra is good,
ਹਰੈਂ ਹਾਰ ਜੀਕੇ ॥
harain haar jeeke |Ram, the Lord of Sita, is winsome and abductor of the mind
ਲਏ ਜਾਤ ਚਿਤੰ ॥
le jaat chitan |And the mind is thus (stolen) away,
ਮਨੋ ਚੋਰ ਬਿਤੰ ॥੬੩੫॥
mano chor bitan |635|He is stealing the conscious mind like a thief.635.
ਸਭੈ ਪਾਇ ਲਾਗੋ ॥
sabhai paae laago |(Mandodari said to the other queens-) Go all and sit at the feet of (Sri Ram).
ਪਤੰ ਦ੍ਰੋਹ ਤਯਾਗੋ ॥
patan droh tayaago |All the wives of Ravana were told to abandon the sorrow of their husband and touch the feet of Ram
ਲਗੀ ਧਾਇ ਪਾਯੰ ॥
lagee dhaae paayan |(Hearing this) all the women came running
ਸਭੈ ਨਾਰਿ ਆਯੰ ॥੬੩੬॥
sabhai naar aayan |636|All of them came forward and fell on his feet.636.
ਮਹਾ ਰੂਪ ਜਾਨੇ ॥
mahaa roop jaane |He knew Rama as Maha Rupavan
ਚਿਤੰ ਚੋਰ ਮਾਨੇ ॥
chitan chor maane |The most beautiful Ram recognized their feelings
ਚੁਭੇ ਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਐਸੇ ॥
chubhe chitr aaise |(Sri Rama's form) pierced his mind thus,
ਸਿਤੰ ਸਾਇ ਕੈਸੇ ॥੬੩੭॥
sitan saae kaise |637|He absorbed himself in the minds of all and all of them pursued him like shadow.637.
ਲਗੋ ਹੇਮ ਰੂਪੰ ॥
lago hem roopan |(Ram Chandra) appear to be of golden form
ਸਭੈ ਭੂਪ ਭੂਪੰ ॥
sabhai bhoop bhoopan |Ram appeared to them in golden hue and looked like king of all kings
ਰੰਗੇ ਰੰਗ ਨੈਣੰ ॥
range rang nainan |All are dyed in (their) color
ਛਕੇ ਦੇਵ ਗੈਣੰ ॥੬੩੮॥
chhake dev gainan |638|The eyes of all were dyed in his love and the gods were delighted to see him from the sky.638.
