ਜੈਸੇ ਚਕਈ ਚਕਵਾ ਬੰਧਿਕ ਇਕਤ੍ਰ ਕੀਨੇ ਪਿੰਜਰੀ ਮੈ ਬਸੇ ਨਿਸਿ ਦੁਖ ਸੁਖ ਮਾਨੇ ਹੈ ।
jaise chakee chakavaa bandhik ikatr keene pinjaree mai base nis dukh sukh maane hai |As a bird-catcher catches male and female ruddy sheldrake (Chakvi, Chakva) and put them in the same cage where they remain together for the night, they happily bear the pain of being prisoners because they are spared the pangs of separation for the night.
ਕਹਤ ਪਰਸਪਰ ਕੋਟਿ ਸੁਰਜਨ ਵਾਰਉ ਓਟ ਦੁਰਜਨ ਪਰ ਜਾਹਿ ਗਹਿ ਆਨੇ ਹੈ ।
kahat parasapar kott surajan vaarau ott durajan par jaeh geh aane hai |They feel so grateful to the hunter for catching them together and lodging them in the same cage that they sacrifice millions of good people unto him who has given them both a shelter.
