ਜਾਤਿ ਸਿਹਿਜਾਸਨ ਜਉ ਕਾਮਨੀ ਜਾਮਨੀ ਸਮੈ ਗੁਰਜਨ ਸੁਜਨ ਕੀ ਬਾਤ ਨ ਸੁਹਾਤ ਹੈ ।
jaat sihijaasan jau kaamanee jaamanee samai gurajan sujan kee baat na suhaat hai |When a wife proceeds to enjoy the union of her husband in his bed at night, no talk of any noble, elderly or holy person appeals to her.
ਹਿਮ ਕਰਿ ਉਦਿਤ ਮੁਦਤਿ ਹੈ ਚਕੋਰ ਚਿਤਿ ਇਕ ਟਕ ਧਿਆਨ ਕੈ ਸਮਾਰਤ ਨ ਗਾਤ ਹੈ ।
him kar udit mudat hai chakor chit ik ttak dhiaan kai samaarat na gaat hai |As the moon rises, the ruddy sheldrake is immensely pleased and gazing at it with concentration of mind, is unaware of his own body even.
ਜੈਸੇ ਮਧੁਕਰ ਮਕਰੰਦ ਰਸ ਲੁਭਤ ਹੈ ਬਿਸਮ ਕਮਲ ਦਲ ਸੰਪਟ ਸਮਾਤ ਹੈ ।
jaise madhukar makarand ras lubhat hai bisam kamal dal sanpatt samaat hai |Just as a bumble bee is so engrossed in the sweet smelling nectar of the flower, that it gets trapped in the box-like lotus flower when the Sun sets.
ਤੈਸੇ ਗੁਰ ਚਰਨ ਸਰਨਿ ਚਲਿ ਜਾਤਿ ਸਿਖ ਦਰਸ ਪਰਸ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਰਸ ਮੁਸਕਾਤਿ ਹੈ ।੪੩੩।
taise gur charan saran chal jaat sikh daras paras prem ras musakaat hai |433|Similarly a devoted slave disciple goes to the refuge of the holy feet of the True Guru; enjoying His sight and entranced in His love, he keeps smiling within while relishing the divine spectacle. (433)
