lochan sravan mukh naasakaa hasat pag chihan anek man mek jaise jaaneeai |

As the mind is associated with eyes, ears, mouth, nose, hand, feet etc., and other limbs of the body; it is the driving force behind them:

ang ang pusatt tusattamaan hot jaise ek mukh svaad ras arapat maaneeai |

As tasty and wholesome food is eaten by the mouth that makes every limb of the body strong, and blooming;

mool ek saakhaa paramaakhaa jal jiau anek braham bibek jaavadek ur aaneeai |

As watering the trunk of a tree conveys water to its many big or small branches. So far as the question of the universe arises, one should bring to mind the thought of one Lord who is all-pervading.

guramukh darapan dekheeaat aapaa aap aatam aves paramaatam giaaneeai |245|

As one sees self in the mirror, so does an obedient disciple of the Guru focuses his mind in his self (a miniscule part of the Lord-soul) and recognises the all-pervading Lord. (245)
