ਸ੍ਵਾਮਿ ਕਾਜ ਲਾਗ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਤ ਸੇਵਕ ਜੈਸੇ ਨਰਪਤਿ ਨਿਰਖ ਸਨੇਹ ਉਪਜਾਵਹੀ ।
svaam kaaj laag sevaa karat sevak jaise narapat nirakh saneh upajaavahee |Just as a worker serves the king whole-heartedly and the king feels happy to see him.
ਜੈਸੇ ਪੂਤ ਚੋਚਲਾ ਕਰਤ ਬਿਦ੍ਯਮਾਨ ਦੇਖਿ ਦੇਖਿ ਸੁਨਿ ਸੁਨਿ ਆਨੰਦ ਬਢਾਵਹੀ ।
jaise poot chochalaa karat bidayamaan dekh dekh sun sun aanand badtaavahee |Just as a son shows his childish pranks to his father, seeing and hearing these father pampers and cuddles him.
ਜੈਸੇ ਪਾਕਸਾਲਾ ਮਧਿ ਬਿੰਜਨ ਪਰੋਸੈ ਨਾਰਿ ਪਤਿ ਖਾਤ ਪ੍ਯਾਰ ਕੈ ਪਰਮ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਵਹੀ ।
jaise paakasaalaa madh binjan parosai naar pat khaat payaar kai param sukh paavahee |Just as a wife serves the food fondly that she had prepared so lovingly in the kitchen, her husband eats it with pleasure and that pleases her immensely.
ਤੈਸੇ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦ ਸੁਨਤ ਸ੍ਰੋਤਾ ਸਾਵਧਾਨ ਗਾਵੈ ਰੀਝ ਗਾਯਨ ਸਹਜ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਵਹੀ ।੫੬੬।
