ਜੈਸੇ ਦਰਪਨਿ ਦਿਬਿ ਸੂਰ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਰਾਖੈ ਪਾਵਕ ਪ੍ਰਗਾਸ ਹੋਟ ਕਿਰਨ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰਿ ਕੈ ।
jaise darapan dib soor sanamukh raakhai paavak pragaas hott kiran charitr kai |As a magnifying lens placed before the rays of the sun produces fire.
ਜੈਸੇ ਮੇਘ ਬਰਖਤ ਹੀ ਬਸੁੰਧਰਾ ਬਿਰਾਜੈ ਬਿਬਿਧਿ ਬਨਾਸਪਤੀ ਸਫਲ ਸੁਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਕੈ ।
jaise megh barakhat hee basundharaa biraajai bibidh banaasapatee safal sumitr kai |Just as earth looks good with rainfall and like a good friend produces fruits and flowers.
ਭੈਟਤ ਭਤਾਰਿ ਨਾਰਿ ਸੋਭਤ ਸਿੰਗਾਰਿ ਚਾਰਿ ਪੂਰਨ ਅਨੰਦ ਸੁਤ ਉਦਿਤਿ ਬਚਿਤ ਕੈ ।
bhaittat bhataar naar sobhat singaar chaar pooran anand sut udit bachit kai |Just as the conjugal union of a well adorned and embellished woman with her husband gives birth to a son and the wife is highly pleased.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਦਰਸਿ ਪਰਸਿ ਬਿਗਸਤ ਸਿਖ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਗਿਆਨ ਪਾਵਨ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਕੈ ।੩੯੪।

And by acquiring the treasure-house of divine knowledge and consecration of Naam Simran from his True Guru, he becomes a pious person. (394)
