ਜੈਸੇ ਹੰਸ ਬੋਲਤ ਹੀ ਡਾਕਨ ਹਰੈ ਕਰੇਜੌ ਬਾਲਕ ਤਾਹੀ ਲੌ ਧਾਵੈ ਜਾਨੈ ਗੋਦਿ ਲੇਤ ਹੈ ।
jaise hans bolat hee ddaakan harai karejau baalak taahee lau dhaavai jaanai god let hai |Just as a malicious woman enamors a child with her sweet and gullible talk that attracts the child to her who thinks she would bestow her love upon him.
ਰੋਵਤ ਸੁਤਹਿ ਜੈਸੇ ਅਉਖਦ ਪੀਆਵੈ ਮਾਤਾ ਬਾਲਕੁ ਜਾਨਤ ਮੋਹਿ ਕਾਲਕੂਟ ਦੇਤ ਹੈ ।
rovat suteh jaise aaukhad peeaavai maataa baalak jaanat mohi kaalakoott det hai |Just as a mother administer medicine to her suffering and crying son but the child feels she is serving him poison.
ਹਰਨ ਭਰਨ ਗਤਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਜਾਨੀਐ ਨ ਬਾਲਕ ਜੁਗਤਿ ਮਤਿ ਜਗਤ ਅਚੇਤ ਹੈ ।
haran bharan gat satigur jaaneeai na baalak jugat mat jagat achet hai |The intellect of the worldly beings is also like this child. They do not know the traits of God-like True Guru who is fully capable of destroying all the vices in them. In this regard, Bhai gurdas Ji says: "Avgun lai gun vikanai vachnai da sura". Var. 13/

akal kalaa alakh at hee agaadh bodh aap hee jaanat aap net net net hai |406|The True Guru is perfect in all respects. He is beyond our perception. No one can fathom his vast knowledge. He alone knows His own capabilities. All that can be said is-He is Infinite, Infinite, Infinite. (406)
