ਜੈਸੇ ਕੁਲਾ ਬਧੂ ਗੁਰ ਜਨ ਮੈ ਘੂਘਟ ਪਟ ਸਿਹਜਾ ਸੰਜੋਗ ਸਮੈ ਅੰਤਰੁ ਨ ਪੀਅ ਸੈ ।
jaise kulaa badhoo gur jan mai ghooghatt patt sihajaa sanjog samai antar na peea sai |Just as a daughter-in-law covers herself with veil in front of the elders of the house, but keeps no distance from her husband at the time of sharing his bed;
ਜੈਸੇ ਮਣਿ ਅਛਤ ਕੁਟੰਬ ਹੀ ਸਹਿਤ ਅਹਿ ਬੰਕ ਤਨ ਸੂਧੋ ਬਿਲ ਪੈਸਤ ਹੁਇ ਜੀਅ ਸੈ ।
jaise man achhat kuttanb hee sahit eh bank tan soodho bil paisat hue jeea sai |Just as a snake remains crooked when with female snake and his family, but becomes straight when it enters in the burrow;
ਮਾਤਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਅਛਤ ਨ ਬੋਲੈ ਸੁਤ ਬਨਿਤਾ ਸੈ ਪਾਛੇ ਕੈ ਦੈ ਸਰਬਸੁ ਮੋਹ ਸੁਤ ਤੀਅ ਸੈ ।
