ਜੈਸੇ ਦੀਪ ਦਿਪਤ ਮਹਾਤਮੈ ਨ ਜਾਨੈ ਕੋਊ ਬੁਝਤ ਹੀ ਅੰਧਕਾਰ ਭਟਕਤ ਰਾਤਿ ਹੈ ।
jaise deep dipat mahaatamai na jaanai koaoo bujhat hee andhakaar bhattakat raat hai |Just as the significance of a lit lamp is not appreciated by anyone, but when it is extinguished, one has to wander in the darkness.
ਜੈਸੇ ਦ੍ਰੁਮ ਆਂਗਨਿ ਅਛਿਤ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਨ ਜਾਨੈ ਕਾਟਤ ਹੀ ਛਾਂਹਿ ਬੈਠਬੇ ਕਉ ਬਿਲਲਾਤ ਹੈ ।
jaise drum aangan achhit mahimaa na jaanai kaattat hee chhaanhi baitthabe kau bilalaat hai |Just as a tree in the courtyard is not appreciated, but when felled or uprooted one longs for its shade.
ਜੈਸੇ ਰਾਜਨੀਤਿ ਬਿਖੈ ਚੈਨ ਹੁਇ ਚਤੁਰਕੁੰਟ ਛਤ੍ਰ ਢਾਲਾ ਚਾਲ ਭਏ ਜੰਤ੍ਰ ਕੰਤ੍ਰ ਜਾਤ ਹੈ ।
jaise raajaneet bikhai chain hue chaturakuntt chhatr dtaalaa chaal bhe jantr kantr jaat hai |Just as enforcement of law and order of the kingdom ensures peace and prosperity everywhere, but chaos prevails when enforcement is compromised.
