ਜੈਸੇ ਪੰਛੀ ਉਡਤ ਫਿਰਤ ਹੈ ਅਕਾਸਚਾਰੀ ਜਾਰਿ ਡਾਰਿ ਪਿੰਜਰੀ ਮੈ ਰਾਖੀਅਤਿ ਆਨਿ ਕੈ ।
jaise panchhee uddat firat hai akaasachaaree jaar ddaar pinjaree mai raakheeat aan kai |Just as a high flying bird keep flying to distant places, but once it is caught with the help of a net and put in a cage, it cannot fly anymore.
ਜੈਸੇ ਗਜਰਾਜ ਗਹਬਰ ਬਨ ਮੈ ਮਦੋਨ ਬਸਿ ਹੁਇ ਮਹਾਵਤ ਕੈ ਅੰਕੁਸਹਿ ਮਾਨਿ ਕੈ ।
jaise gajaraaj gahabar ban mai madon bas hue mahaavat kai ankuseh maan kai |Just as a frolicsome elephant roams about in the dense jungle excitedly, it is brought under control under the fear of a goad once captured.
ਜੈਸੇ ਬਿਖਿਆਧਰ ਬਿਖਮ ਬਿਲ ਮੈ ਪਤਾਲ ਗਹੇ ਸਾਪਹੇਰਾ ਤਾਹਿ ਮੰਤ੍ਰਨ ਕੀ ਕਾਨਿ ਕੈ ।

ਤੈਸੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਭਵਨ ਪ੍ਰਤਿ ਭ੍ਰਮਤ ਚੰਚਲ ਚਿਤ ਨਿਹਚਲ ਹੋਤ ਮਤਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਗਿਆਨ ਕੈ ।੨੩੧।
